Ezekiel 35
1 And the word of Yahweh came unto me, saying,
I dođe mi riječ Jahvina:
2 Son of man Set thy face against Mount Seir, —and prophesy against it;
“Sine čovječji, okreni lice k Seirskoj gori i prorokuj protiv nje!
3 and thou shalt say to it Thus saith My Lord Yahweh, Behold me! against thee Mount Seir, —Therefore will I stretch out my hand against thee, And I will make thee a desolation and an astonishment:
Reci joj: 'Ovako govori Jahve Gospod: Evo me na te, Goro seirska! Ruku ću podići na te i pretvoriti te u pustoš i pustinju.
4 Thy cities, will I lay waste, And thou—a desolation, shalt become, So shalt thou know that I, am Yahweh.
Gradove ću tvoje razvaliti i postat ćeš pustinjom. I znat ćeš da sam ja Jahve!
5 Because thou hast had an age-abiding enmity, And hast delivered up the sons of Israel unto the hands of the sword, - In the time of their misfortune, In the time of the final punishment for iniquity,
Vječnu si mržnju gojila i maču predavala sinove Izraelove kad bi ih nesreća pogodila i kad bi im kucnuo čas posljednjega grijeha.
6 Therefore, as I live, Declareth My Lord Yahweh, Surely regarding blood, will I deal with thee, Blood therefore, shall pursue thee, -Since blood thou hast not hated, Therefore blood, shall pursue thee,
Zato, života mi moga - riječ je Jahve Gospoda - krvi ću te predati i krv će te progoniti: od krvi nisi prezala, krv će te progoniti!
7 So then I will deliver up Mount Seir to desolation after desolation, - And will cut off therefrom him that passeth by and him that returneth,
Od Gore seirske učinit ću pustoš i pustinju, istrijebit ću iz nje polaznika i povratnika.
8 And I will fill his mountains with his slain, — As for thy hills and thy hollows and all thy channels, they who are thrust through by the sword shall fall therein:
Gore njezine napunit ću truplima: po tvojim brežuljcima, po tvojim dolinama i po tvojim uvalama padat će mačem pokošeni.
9 Desolations age-abiding, will I make thee, And thy cities, shall not be inhabited, - So shall ye know that, I, am Yahweh.
Učinit ću od tebe vječnu pustinju, gradovi se tvoji neće napučiti. I znat ćete da sam ja Jahve!'
10 Because thou hast said, the two nations, and the two lands, mine, shall become, that we may possess it Whereas Yahweh, had been there,
Ti reče: 'Ova dva naroda i ove dvije zemlje bit će moji; mi ćemo ih zaposjesti, ako i jest Jahve bio ondje!'
11 Therefore as I live, Declareth My Lord Yahweh, I will even deal according to thine anger, and according to thine envy, wherewith thou hast dealt, out of thy hatred with them, - So will I make myself known among them as soon as I shall judge thee
'Zato, života mi moga - riječ je Jahve Gospoda - postupit ću s tobom prema gnjevu i ljubomori s kojom ti postupi u svojoj mržnji s njima! Upoznat ćeš me po tome kako ću ti suditi!
12 And thou shalt know that, I Yahweh, have heard all thy revilings which thou hast uttered against the mountains of Israel saying, They have become desolate, — To us, have they been given for food;
I znat ćeš da sam ja, Jahve, čuo sve tvoje hule što ih izreče na gore Izraelove govoreći: 'Opustješe, nama su dane za hranu!'
13 And so ye have magnified yourselves against me with your mouth, And have caused to abound against me your words, —I, have heard!
Razmetali ste se, protiv mene govorili i gomilali protiv mene riječi; čuo sam ja!'
14 Thus, saith My Lord Yahweh, — When all the earth is rejoicing, a desolation, will I make thee:
Ovako govori Jahve Gospod: 'Na radost sve zemlje, od tebe ću učiniti pustoš.
15 As thou didst rejoice over the inheritance of the house of Israel because it had become a desolation, so, will, I, do unto thee, — A desolation, shalt thou become, O Mount Seir And all Edom all of it, So shall they know that, I, am Yahweh.
Kako si se ti radovala što opustje baština doma Izraelova, tako ću učiniti s tobom: opustjet ćeš, Goro seirska, a s tobom i sav Edom! I znat će se da sam ja Jahve!”
