Ezekiel 31
1 And it came to pass in the eleventh year, in the third month, on the first of the month, that the word of Yahweh came unto me, saying:
ग्यारहवें वर्ष के, तीसरे माह के पहले दिन, याहवेह का वचन मेरे पास आया:
2 Son of man Say unto Pharaoh king of Egypt and unto his multitude, — Whom art thou like in thy greatness?
“हे मनुष्य के पुत्र, मिस्र के राजा फ़रोह और उसके उपद्रवी लोगों से कहो: “‘गौरव में तुम्हारी तुलना किससे की जा सकती है?
3 Lo! Assyria, was a cedar in Lebanon, Beautiful in bough and Dense in foliage and Lofty in stature, — and Among the clouds, came to be his top:
अश्शूर पर विचार करो, जो एक समय लबानोन का देवदार था, उसकी शाखाएं सुंदर और बंजर भूमि को छाया प्रदान करती थी; यह पेड़ बहुत ऊंचा था, इसकी चोटी घने पत्तों के ऊपर थी.
4 The waters made him great, the roaring deep, made him high—with its currents going round about the place where it was planted, Its channels also, it sent forth unto all the trees of the field.
पानी से इसका पोषण होता था, गहरे झरनों ने इसे ऊंचा बढ़ाया; उनके सोते इसके आधार के चारों तरफ बहते थे और उनकी धाराएं मैदान के सारे वृक्षों तक जाती थी.
5 For this cause higher, was his stature than any of the trees of the field, -And multiplied were his boughs And lengthened were his branches, By reason of the mighty waters when he shot forth shoots.
इसलिये मैदान के सारे पेड़ों से यह ऊंची हो गई, इसकी डालियां बढ़ने लगीं और इसकी शाखाएं फैलकर लंबी हो गईं, इसका कारण था पानी की अधिकता.
6 Among his branches, all the birds of the heavens, made their nests, And under his boughs, all the wild beasts of the field, brought forth, — And, in his shade, dwelt all the mighty nations.
आकाश के सारे पक्षी उसकी डालियों पर बसेरा करते थे, उसकी शाखाओं के नीचे बंजर भूमि के सारे पशु बच्चे देते थे; सारी महान जनता इसकी छाया में रहती थीं.
7 Thus became he beautiful in his greatness, In the length of his waving branches, Because his root had gone towards mighty waters.
अपनी फैली हुई डालियों के साथ, सुंदरता में यह वैभवशाली था, क्योंकि इसकी जड़ें नीचे भरपूर अधिक पानी के सोतों तक पहुंची हुई थी.
8 Cedars hid him not. in the garden of God, Fir-trees were not like unto his boughs, Nor plane-trees, like his branches, —no, tree in the garden of God, was like unto him in his beauty.
परमेश्वर के बगीचे के देवदार वृक्ष इसकी तुलना में कुछ न थे, सनोवर भी इसकी डालियों के बराबर नहीं थे, न ही चौरस पेड़ों की तुलना इसकी शाखाओं से की जा सकती थी— परमेश्वर के बगीचे का कोई भी पेड़ इसकी सुंदरता की बराबरी नहीं कर सकता था.
9 Beautiful, I made him in the abundance of his waving branches, - Therefore was he envied by all the trees of Eden, which were in the garden of God.
मैंने प्रचूर शाखाओं के साथ इसे सुंदर बनाया, परमेश्वर की वाटिका, एदेन के सारे पेड़ इससे ईर्ष्या करते थे.
10 Therefore Thus, saith My Lord Yahweh, Because thou hast become lofty in stature, And he hath stretched his top among the clouds, And his heart is exalted in his loftiness.
“‘इसलिये परम प्रधान याहवेह का यह कहना है: क्योंकि महान देवदार घने पत्तियों के ऊपर बढ़ा था, और क्योंकि उसे अपनी ऊंचाई का घमंड था,
11 Let me then deliver him into the hand of the chief of the nations, He shall effectually deal with him! According to his lawlessness, have I driven him out:
इसलिये मैंने उसे जाति-जाति के लोगों पर शासन करनेवाले के हाथों में दे दिया कि वह उसकी दुष्टता के अनुसार उससे व्यवहार करे. मैंने उसे अलग फेंक दिया,
12 Therefore have foreigners the terrible of the nations cut him down. And abandoned him, — Upon the mountains and in all valleys, have fallen his waving branches And broken have been his boughs in all the river-beds of the land, And all the peoples of the earth have come down out of his shade. And abandoned him:
और विदेशी जनताओं में जो सबसे ज्यादा निर्दयी हैं, उन्होंने उसे काटकर छोड़ दिया. उसकी डालियां पर्वतों और सब घाटियों में गिरीं; उसकी शाखाएं देश के सब दर्रों में टूटी पड़ी रहीं. जाति-जाति के सब लोग उसकी छाया से निकल आए और उसे छोड़ दिया.
13 Upon his trunk, shall settle down all the birds of the heavens, - And among his boughs, are to be found all the wild beasts of the field: —
सब पक्षी गिरे हुए पेड़ पर बसेरा करने लगे, और सब पशु उसकी शाखाओं के बीच रहने लगे.
14 To the end that none of the trees of the waters— May exalt themselves in their stature or stretch their top among the clouds, Nor their mighty ones take their stand in their height- any that drink of the waters, — Because they all, are delivered to death Unto the earth below. In the midst of the sons of Adam. Amongst them who descend into the pit.
इसलिये पानी के पास अब कोई दूसरा पेड़ घनी पत्तियों के बीच अपने सिर को उठाते हुए घमंड से ऊंचा न बढ़े. भरपूर पानी के पास का कोई दूसरा पेड़ ऐसा ऊंचा न हो; उन सबका मरना निश्चित है, उनकी जगह पृथ्वी के नीचे उन मरणहार लोगों के बीच है, जो मृतकों के राज्य में नीचे जा रहे हैं.
15 Thus, saith My Lord Yahweh, In the day when he descended into hades, I caused a mourning. I covered over him the roaring deep, And restrained the currents thereof And stayed were the mighty waters, So caused I gloom over him unto Lebanon, And all the trees of the field for him were covered with a shroud. (Sheol h7585)
“‘परम प्रधान याहवेह का यह कहना है: जिस दिन इसे मृतकों के राज्य में नीचे लाया गया, मैंने इसके लिये शोक के साथ गहरे झरनों को ढांक दिया; मैंने इसके सोतों को रोक दिया, और इसके भरपूर पानी के स्रोत बंद हो गये. इसके कारण मैंने लबानोन को गम में डाल दिया, और मैदान के सारे पेड़ मुरझा गए. (Sheol h7585)
16 At the sound of his fall, I made nations tremble, When I caused him to descend into hades, with them who descend into the pit, — Then were grieved in the earth below-All the trees of Eden, The choicest and best of Lebanon All who had drunk the waters. (Sheol h7585)
मैंने इसके गिरने की आवाज से जाति-जाति के लोगों को कंपा दिया, जब मैं इसे मृतकों के राज्य में नीचे लाया, ताकि वे उनके साथ रहें जो नीचे कब्र में जाते हैं. तब एदेन वाटिका के सब पेड़ों, लबानोन के चुने हुए और सबसे अच्छे, भरपूर पानी से सिंचित पेड़ों को पृथ्वी के नीचे सांत्वना मिली. (Sheol h7585)
17 Even they, with him descended into hades. Among them who were thrust through with the sword, - Even his seed who dwelt in his shade in the midst of the nations. (Sheol h7585)
बड़े देवदार पेड़ के समान वे भी उन मृतकों के राज्य में नीचे गये, जो तलवार से मारे गये थे; जो हथियारबंद आदमी उसकी छाया में जाति-जाति के लोगों के बीच रहते थे, वे भी उनके साथ थे. (Sheol h7585)
18 Unto whom couldst thou be likened thus, in glory and in greatness, among the trees of Eden? Yet shalt thou be caused to descend with the trees of Eden into the earth below In the midst of the uncircumcised, shalt thou lie down With them who were thrust through by the sword, the same, is Pharaoh and all his multitude, Declareth My Lord Yahweh.
“‘शान और वैभव में, एदेन के किस पेड़ की तुलना तुमसे की जा सकती है? फिर भी तुम्हें भी अदन के वृक्षों के साथ पृथ्वी के नीचे लाया जाएगा; तुम उन खतना-रहितों के बीच पड़े रहोगे, जो तलवार से मारे गये हैं. “‘यह स्थिति फ़रोह और उसके सब उपद्रवी लोगों की होगी, परम प्रधान याहवेह की यह घोषणा है.’”
