Ezekiel 3
1 Then said he unto me, Son of man What thou findest, eat, —eat this roll, and go speak unto the house of Israel.
Und er sprach zu mir: Menschensohn, iß, was du hier vorfindest, iß diese Rolle und gehe hin, rede zum Hause Israel!
2 So I opened my mouth, —and he caused me to eat this roll.
Da tat ich meinen Mund auf, und er gab mir jene Rolle zu essen.
3 Then said he unto me Son of man. Thy belly, cause thou to eat and thy bowels, fill thou with this roll which I am giving unto thee. So I did eat, and it became in my mouth, as honey for sweetness.
Und er sprach zu mir: Speise deinen Leib und fülle deine Eingeweide mit dieser Rolle, die ich dir gebe! Da aß ich, und es war in meinem Munde so süß wie Honig.
4 Then said he unto me, — Son of man Go get thee unto the house of Israel, and thou shalt speak with my words, unto them.
Da sprach er zu mir: Menschensohn, gehe hin zum Hause Israel und rede mit meinen Worten zu ihnen!
5 For not unto a people deep of lip and heavy of tongue, art thou sent —[but] unto the house of Israel:
Denn du wirst nicht zu einem Volk von unverständlicher Sprache und schwerer Zunge gesandt, sondern zum Hause Israel;
6 not unto many peoples deep of lip and heavy of tongue, whose words thou couldst not understand, —surely if unto them I had sent thee, they would have hearkened unto thee.
nicht zu großen Nationen, die eine unverständliche Sprache und schwere Zunge haben, deren Worte du nicht verstehen könntest: wahrlich, wenn ich dich zu solchen Leuten sendete, so würden sie auf dich hören;
7 But the house of Israel will not be willing to hearken unto thee, for they are not willing to hearken unto me, —for all the house of Israel are bold of forehead and hard of heart.
aber das Haus Israel wird nicht auf dich hören wollen; denn sie wollen auch nicht auf mich hören; denn das ganze Haus Israel hat eine harte Stirn und ein verstocktes Herz.
8 Lo! I have made thy face bold like as their faces, and thy forehead bold like as their forehead.
Doch siehe, ich habe dein Angesicht so hart gemacht wie ihr Angesicht und deine Stirn so hart wie ihre Stirne.
9 As an adamant harder than flint, have I made thy forehead, —thou shalt not fear them neither shalt thou be dismayed at their faces, For a perverse house, they are!
Wie Diamant und härter als Fels mache ich deine Stirn. Fürchte sie nicht und erschrick nicht vor ihren Gesichtern! Denn sie sind ein widerspenstiges Haus.
10 Then said he unto me, — Son of man. All my words which I shall speak unto thee, receive thou into thy heart and in thine ears, hear thou:
Und er sprach zu mir: Menschensohn, alle meine Worte, die ich zu dir rede, sollst du zu Herzen fassen und mit deinen Ohren hören!
11 then go get thee unto them of the captivity, unto the sons of thy people, and thou shalt speak unto them and say unto them, Thus saith My Lord Yahweh, whether they will hear or whether they will forbear.
Und du sollst hingehen zu den Gefangenen, zu den Kindern deines Volkes, und sollst mit ihnen reden und zu ihnen sagen: So spricht Gott, der HERR! sie mögen hören oder es bleiben lassen.
12 Then the Spirit lifted me up, and I heard behind me the sound of a great rushing, — Blessed be the glory of Yahweh. From his place!
Da hob mich der Geist empor, und ich hörte hinter mir eine Stimme, ein gewaltiges Getöse: Gepriesen sei die Herrlichkeit des HERRN an ihrem Ort!
13 Yea the sound of the wings of the living ones, gently touching each other, and the sound of the wheels, along with them, even the sound of a great rushing.
Ich hörte auch das Rauschen der Flügel der lebendigen Wesen, die einander berührten, und das Rasseln der Räder, die neben ihnen waren, und den Schall eines gewaltigen Getöses.
14 So the Spirit lifted me up, and took me away, —and I went bitterly, in the rage of my spirit, but the hand of Yahweh upon me was strong.
Als mich nun der Geist erhob und wegnahm, ging ich erbittert in grimmigem Zorn, und die Hand des Herrn lag fest auf mir.
15 Thus came I unto them of the captivity, at Tel-abib. who were dwelling towards he river Chebar and I dwelt where They were dwelling; yea I dwelt there seven days, stunned in their midst,
Und ich kam zu den Gefangenen nach Tel-Abib, zu denen, die am Flusse Kebar wohnen, und da sie dort saßen, setzte ich mich auch dorthin und war sieben Tage lang in Staunen versunken unter ihnen.
16 And it came to pass at the end of seven days, that the word of Yahweh came unto me saying
Aber nach sieben Tagen erging das Wort des HERRN an mich.
17 Son of man, A watchman, have I appointed thee to the house of Israel, —and thou shalt hear, at my mouth a message, and shalt warn them from me.
Er sprach: Menschensohn, ich habe dich zum Wächter bestellt für das Haus Israel; wenn du aus meinem Munde ein Wort vernommen hast, so sollst du sie in meinem Auftrag warnen!
18 When I say to the lawless man— Thou shalt surely die, and thou hast not given him warning, neither hast spoken to warn the lawless man from his lawless way, to save himself alive the same lawless man in his iniquity shall die, but his blood, at thy hand, will I require.
Wenn ich zum Gottlosen sage: «Du mußt sterben!» und du warnst ihn nicht und sagst es ihm nicht, um ihn vor seinem gottlosen Wege zu warnen und am Leben zu erhalten, so wird der Gottlose um seiner Missetat willen sterben, aber sein Blut will ich von deiner Hand fordern!
19 Whereas when thou hast warned a lawless man, and he hath not turned from his lawlessness and from his lawless way he in his iniquity shall die, but Thou hast delivered thine own soul.
Warnst du aber den Gottlosen und er kehrt sich doch nicht von seiner Gottlosigkeit und von seinem gottlosen Wege, so wird er um seiner Missetat willen sterben, du aber hast deine Seele errettet!
20 And when a righteous man hath turned from his righteousness, and committed perversity, and I have suffered a stumbling- block to be laid before him he shall die, —though thou hast not warned him, in his sin, shall he die, neither shall be remembered his righteous deeds which he hath done, but his blood, at thy hand will I require;
Wenn aber ein Gerechter sich von seiner Gerechtigkeit abkehrt und Unrecht tut, und ich lege einen Anstoß vor ihn hin, so wird er sterben, weil du ihn nicht gewarnt hast; um seiner Sünde willen wird er sterben, und es wird seiner Gerechtigkeit, die er getan hat, nicht gedacht werden; aber sein Blut will ich von deiner Hand fordern!
21 whereas when Thou hast warned a righteous man. That a righteous man must not sin and he hath not sinned, he shall surely live in that he took warning, and thou hast delivered thine own soul.
Wenn du aber den Gerechten gewarnt hast, daß der Gerechte nicht sündigen soll, und er dann nicht sündigt, so soll er am Leben bleiben, weil er sich hat warnen lassen, und du hast deine Seele errettet!
22 Then came upon me there the hand of Yahweh, —and he said unto me, Arise go forth into the valley, and there, will I speak with thee.
Und die Hand des Herrn kam daselbst über mich, und er sprach zu mir: Stehe auf, gehe in das Tal hinaus, damit ich dort mit dir rede!
23 So I arose and went forth into the valley, and lo! there the glory of Yahweh, standing, like the glory which I saw by the river Chebar, -and I fell upon my face.
Als ich mich nun aufgemacht hatte und in das Tal hinausgegangen war, siehe, da stand daselbst die Herrlichkeit des HERRN, gleich der Herrlichkeit, welche ich bei dem Flusse Kebar gesehen hatte. Da fiel ich auf mein Angesicht nieder;
24 Then the Spirit entered into me, and caused me to stand upon my feet, —and he spake with me and said unto me, Go in shut thyself up, in the midst of thine own house,
und der Geist kam in mich und stellte mich auf meine Füße und redete mit mir und sprach zu mir: Gehe hin und verschließe dich in dein Haus!
25 And thou—O son of man, lo! they have put upon thee bands, and they will bind thee therewith, -. so that thou go not forth in their midst;
Und du, o Menschensohn, siehe, man wird dir Bande anlegen, mit denen man dich binden wird, so daß du nicht mitten unter sie wirst hinausgehen können.
26 thy tongue also, will I cause to cleave unto the roof of thy mouth, so shalt thou be dumb and not be to them a reprover, — For a perverse house, they are!
Und ich will deine Zunge an deinem Gaumen kleben lassen, daß du verstummest und für sie kein Strafprediger seiest; denn sie sind ein widerspenstiges Haus!
27 But when I speak with thee, I will open thy mouth, and thou shalt say unto them. Thus saith My Lord Yahweh, —He that is minded to hear, let him hear, And he that is minded to forbear, let him forbear! For a perverse house, they are!
Aber wenn ich zu dir reden werde, so will ich deinen Mund auftun, daß du zu ihnen sagen sollst: «So spricht Gott, der HERR! Wer hören will, der höre, wer es aber unterlassen will, der unterlasse es!» Denn sie sind ein widerspenstiges Haus.
