Ezekiel 29
1 In the tenth year, in the tenth month, on the twelfth of the month, came the word of Yahweh unto me, saying:
Le ƒe ewolia ƒe ɣleti ewolia me, le ŋkeke wuievelia gbe la, Yehowa ƒe nya va nam be,
2 Son of man, Set thy face against Pharaoh, king of Egypt, And prophesy against him, and against Egypt all of it:
“Ame vi, trɔ mo ɖe Farao, Egipte fia ŋu, eye nàgblɔ nya ɖi ɖe eya kple Egipte katã ŋu.
3 Speak, and thou shalt say— Thus, saith My Lord Yahweh Behold me! against thee O Pharaoh king of Egypt, The great Crocodile that lieth along in the midst of his rivers: Who saith— My river is, mine own, Since I myself made it me!
Gblɔ nɛ be, ‘Alea Aƒetɔ Yehowa gblɔe nye esi: “‘Metso ɖe ŋuwò, Farao, Egipte fia, wò lã gã wɔadã le wò tɔsisiwo me. Egblɔna be, “Nil tɔsisi la nye tɔnye. Nyee wɔe na ɖokuinye.”
4 Therefore will I put hooks in thy jaws, And cause the fish of thy rivers to stick fast in thy scales, - And will bring thee up out of the midst of thy rivers, And, all the fish of thy rivers, to thy scales, shall stick fast;
Matsɔ ƒu aƒo ɖe wò glã me, eye mana wò tɔwo me lãwo nalé ɖe wò tsro ŋu, mahe wò ado goe le wò tɔsisiwo me kple tɔmelã siwo katã lé ɖe wò tsrokpa ŋuti.
5 And I will stretch thee out towards the desert, Thee and all the fish of thy rivers, On the face of the field, shalt thou lie Thou shalt not be carried away nor shalt thou be gathered, To the wild beast of the earth and to the bird of the heavens, have I given thee for food.
Magblẽ wò ɖe gbegbe, wò kple wò tɔwo me lãwo katã; àdze gbadzaƒe dzi, womafɔ wò alo atsɔ wò o. Mawɔ wò nàzu nuɖuɖu na gbemelãwo kple dziƒoxeviwo.
6 So shall all the inhabitants of Egypt know that I, am Yahweh, Because they were a staff of reed to the house of Israel:
Ekema ame siwo katã le Egipte la anya be, nyee nye Yehowa. “‘Ènye aƒlati na Israel ƒe aƒe la.
7 Whensoever they took hold of thee by the hand, thou didst run through, and tear open for them every hand, —And whensoever they leaned upon thee, thou didst break, and caused all their loins to halt.
Esi wolé wò kple asi la, èŋe woƒe abɔta, eye esi woziɔ ɖe ŋuwò la, èŋee heƒo ɖe woƒe dzime.
8 Therefore, Thus saith My Lord Yahweh, Behold me! bringing upon thee a sword, - And I will cut off out of thee, man and beast;
“‘Eya ta ale Aƒetɔ Yehowa gblɔe nye esi: “Mahe yi aɖe ɖe ŋuwò, wòawu wò amewo kple woƒe lãwo.
9 And the land of Egypt shall become an astonishment and a desolation, So shall they know that, I, am Yahweh, —Because he said— The river is mine own, Since, I, myself made it!
Egipte azu aƒedo kple gbegbe. Ekema woanya be nyee nye Yehowa.” “‘Esi nègblɔ be, “Nil tɔsisi la nye tɔnye, nyee wɔe” ta la,
10 Therefore, behold me! against thee and against thy rivers, - And I will make the land of Egypt to be most desolate an astounding desolation, from Migdol to Syene even up to the boundary of Ethiopia:
metso ɖe wò kple wò tɔsisiwo ŋu, eye mana Egiptenyigba nazu aƒedo kple gbegbe tso Migdol va se ɖe Aswan, va do ɖe keke Kus ƒe liƒowo dzi.
11 The foot of man shall not pass through it, Nor shall the foot of beast, pass through it, Neither shall it be inhabited forty years:
Amegbetɔ alo lã aɖeke ƒe afɔ magato edzi o. Ame aɖeke maganɔ afi ma o ƒe blaene sɔŋ.
12 So will I make the land of Egypt a desolation in the midst of lands made desolate And her cities—in the midst of cities that have been laid waste, shall become a desolation forty years, - And I will disperse the Egyptians among the nations, And scatter them throughout the lands.
Mana Egiptenyigba nazu aƒedo le anyigba siwo wògblẽ la dome, eye eƒe duwo azu aƒedo ƒe blaene le du siwo wogbã la dome. Makaka Egiptetɔwo ɖe dukɔwo dome, akaka wo, ahlẽ ɖe anyigbawo dzi.
13 For thus, saith My Lord Yahweh, — At the end of forty years, will I gather the Egyptians from among the peoples whither I had dispersed them;
“‘Ke ale Aƒetɔ Yehowa gblɔe nye si. “Le ƒe blaene ƒe nuwuwu la, maƒo ƒu Egiptetɔwo tso dukɔ siwo me wokaka wo ɖo la me.
14 And I will turn the captivity of the Egyptians, And will cause them to return To the land of Pathros Upon the land of their nativity, - And they shall become, there a kingdom abased:
Magbugbɔ wo tso aboyome ava Egipte ƒe Dzigbeme, wo tɔgbuiwo ƒe anyigba dzi, eye woanye fiaɖuƒe sue aɖe le afi ma.
15 More than [any of] the kingdoms, shall she be abased, And shall lift herself up no more over the nations, —Yea I will make them too small to rule over the nations.
Anye fiaɖuƒe gblɔetɔ le fiaɖuƒewo dome, eye magado eɖokui ɖe dzi wu fiaɖuƒe bubuawo o. Mana wòagbɔdzɔ ale gbegbe be, magaɖu dukɔ bubuwo dzi azɔ o.
16 So shall it become no more unto the house of Israel a security. Calling to mind iniquity, by their turning to follow them, - And they shall know that, I, am The Lord Yahweh.
Egipte maganye dukɔ si ŋu Israelviwo naɖo dzi ɖo o, ke boŋ ana woaɖo ŋku woƒe nu vɔ̃ si na wotrɔ ɖe eŋu hebia kpekpeɖeŋu la dzi. Ekema woanya be nyee nye Aƒetɔ Yehowa.”’”
17 And it came to pass in the twenty-seventh year in the first month on the first of the month, that the word of Yahweh came unto me saying:
Le ƒe blaeve-vɔ-adrelia ƒe ɣleti gbãtɔ ƒe ŋkeke gbãtɔ gbe la, Yehowa ƒe nya va nam be,
18 Son of man Nebuchadrezzar king of Babylon, hath made his army undergo a long service against Tyre, Every head, hath been made bald, and, Every shoulder, worn bare, — But pay, hath he had none nor hath his army, out of Tyre, for the service wherewith he hath served against it.
“Ame vi, Nebukadnezar, Babilonia fia, ho aʋa kple eƒe dukɔ ɖe Tiro ŋu; tawo katã bebe, eye abɔtawo katã ɖe bo. Ke eya kple eƒe aʋakɔ mekpɔ fetu aɖeke tso aʋahoho ɖe Tiro ŋu me o.
19 Therefore, Thus, saith My Lord Yahweh, Behold me! giving to Nebuchadrezzar king of Babylon, the land of Egypt, — And he shall carry off her multitude And capture her spoil And seize her prey, So shall she become pay for his army.
Eya ta ale Aƒetɔ Yehowa gblɔ, ‘Matsɔ Egipte ana Nebukadnezar, Babilonia fia, eye wòalɔ eƒe kesinɔnuwo adzoe. Aha nuwo le anyigba la dzi atsɔ axe fee na eƒe aʋawɔlawo.
20 As a reward for his labour wherewith he hath served, have I given to him the land of Egypt, —in that they wrought for me, Declareth My Lord, Yahweh.
Metsɔ Egipte nɛ abe fetu ene le eƒe agbagbadzedze ta, elabena nyee eya kple eƒe aʋakɔ wɔ dɔ la na.’ Aƒetɔ Yehowae gblɔe.
21 In that day, will I cause to bud a horn for the house of Israel, And to thee, will I give an opening of mouth in their midst, So shall they know that, I, am Yahweh.
“Le ŋkeke ma dzi la, ŋusẽ aɖo Israel ƒe aƒe ŋu, eye maʋu wò nu na wò le wo dome. Ekema woanya be nyee nye Yehowa.”
