Ezekiel 24
1 And the word of Yahweh came unto me. in the ninth year in the tenth month, on the tenth of the month, saying:
Și în anul al nouălea, în luna a zecea, în [ziua] a zecea a lunii, cuvântul DOMNULUI a venit la mine, spunând:
2 Son of man. Write thee the name of the day, this selfsame day, —the king of Babylon cast himself against Jerusalem, on this selfsame day.
Fiu al omului, scrie-ți numele zilei, al acestei zile: împăratul Babilonului se îndreaptă împotriva Ierusalimului în această zi.
3 Put thou forth therefore, against the perverse house a parable, and say unto them Thus saith My Lord, Yahweh: Set on the caldron set it on, Moreover also pour into it water:
Și rostește o parabolă casei răzvrătite și spune-le: Astfel spune Domnul DUMNEZEU: Pune o oală, pune-[o] și de asemenea toarnă apă în ea;
4 Gather the pieces thereof into it, Every good piece thigh and shoulder, With the choice of the bones, fill it:
Adună bucățile ei în ea, fiecare bucată bună, coapsa și umărul; umple-[o] cu oase alese.
5 Take of the choice of the rock, Moreover also pile of bones place under it, - Boil the pieces thereof, Yea let the bones of it seethe in the midst thereof.
Ia pe cele mai alese din turmă și arde de asemenea oasele sub ea [și] fă-o să fiarbă bine și lasă oasele ei să clocotească în ea.
6 Wherefore, Thus saith My Lord Yahweh, Woe! city of bloodshed. The caldron whose scum is in it, and whose scum, hath not gone out of it: Piece by piece, bring it out, There hath fallen thereon no lot.
De aceea astfel spune Domnul DUMNEZEU: Vai cetății sângeroase, [vai] de oala a cărei depunere [este] în ea și a cărei depunere nu a ieșit din ea! Scoateți-o bucată cu bucată; să nu cadă niciun sorț pe ea.
7 For, her own blood, hath come to be in her midst, Upon the smooth face of the cliff, hath she set it, - She hath not poured it out on the earth, that she might cover it with dust.
Pentru că sângele ei este în mijlocul ei: ea l-a pus pe vârful unei stânci; nu l-a turnat pe pământ pentru a-l acoperi cu țărână;
8 To bring up indignation to execute an avenging, have I set her blood upon the smooth face of the cliff, —that it may not be covered.
Ca să facă să vină furia pentru a se răzbuna; eu am pus sângele ei pe vârful unei stânci, ca să nu fie acoperit.
9 Wherefore Thus, saith My Lord Yahweh, Woe! city of bloodshed, —Even I myself, will make large the pile.
De aceea astfel spune Domnul DUMNEZEU: Vai cetății sângeroase! Eu, chiar eu voi mări grămada pentru foc.
10 Heap on the wood Kindle the fire, Consume the flesh, Yea season with spice, And let the bones be scorched.
Îngrămădește lemne, aprinde focul, mistuie carnea și înmiresmeaz-o bine și lasă oasele să fie arse.
11 Then set it upon the live coals thereof empty, —that the copper of it may be scorched and burn. So that the impurity thereof may be annihilated within it The scum thereof be consumed,
Apoi pune-o goală pe cărbunii ei, ca arama ei să fie fierbinte și să ardă [și ca] murdăria ei să fie topită în ea, [ca] depunerea ei să fie mistuită.
12 With toils, hath she wearied herself, —Since her abundant scum will not go out of her, into the fire, with her scum!
Ea [s]-a ostenit cu minciuni și depunerea ei mare nu a ieșit din ea; depunerea ei [va fi] în foc.
13 In thine uncleanness, is lewdness; be- cause I purified thee and thou wast not purified, from thine uncleanness, thou shalt not be purified any more, until I have let mine indignation rest upon thee.
În murdăria ta [este] desfrânare; deoarece eu te-am curățit și tu nu ai fost curățată, nu vei mai fi curățată de murdăria ta, până nu îmi voi fi făcut furia mea să se odihnească asupra ta.
14 I Yahweh, have spoken It cometh and I will perform I will not let alone, neither will I shield, Nor will I repent, - According to thy ways and according to thy doings, have they judged thee, Declareth My Lord Yahweh.
Eu DOMNUL am vorbit [aceasta]: se va întâmpla și eu [o] voi face; nu mă voi întoarce, nici nu voi cruța, nici nu mă voi pocăi; conform cu căile tale și conform cu facerile tale, te vor judeca ei, spune Domnul DUMNEZEU.
15 And the word of Yahweh came unto me saying:
De asemenea cuvântul DOMNULUI a venit la mine, spunând:
16 Son of Man Behold me! taking away from thee the delight of thine eyes, with a stroke, - But thou shall not lament Neither shalt thou weep, Neither shall come—thy tears:
Fiu al omului, iată, eu iau de la tine dorința ochilor tăi cu o lovitură; totuși să nu jelești nici să nu plângi, nici să nu îți curgă lacrimile.
17 To groan, forbear, Over the dead—no mourning, shalt thou make Thy chaplet, bind thou on thee And thy sandals: , put thou on thy feet, And thou shalt not cover thy beard, And the bread of other men, shalt thou not eat.
Abține-te să plângi, să nu jelești pentru morți, leagă-ți tiara capului tău pe tine și pune-ți sandalele în picioare și nu [îți] acoperi buzele și nu mânca pâinea oamenilor.
18 So I spake unto the people in the morning, and my wife died in the evening, —and I did in the morning, as I had been commanded.
Astfel am vorbit poporului dimineața; și seara soția mea a murit; iar eu am făcut dimineața precum mi se poruncise.
19 Then said the people unto me: Wilt thou not tell us what these things are to us, that thou shouldst be acting thus?
Și poporul mi-a spus: Nu ne vei spune ce [sunt] aceste [lucruri] pentru noi, pe care [astfel] le faci?
20 So I said unto them: The word of Yahweh hath come unto me, saying:
Atunci le-am răspuns: Cuvântul DOMNULUI a venit la mine, spunând:
21 Say to the house of Israel thus, saith My Lord. Yahweh, Behold me! profaning my sanctuary. The pride of your strength, The delight of your eyes And the object of the tender regard of your soul, - And your sons and your daughters whom ye have left behind, by the sword, shall fall.
Vorbește casei lui Israel: Astfel spune Domnul DUMNEZEU: Iată, voi spurca sanctuarul meu, maiestatea puterii voastre, dorința ochilor voștri și pe aceea de care se îndură sufletul vostru; și fiii voștri și fiicele voastre, pe care i-ați lăsat vor cădea prin sabie.
22 Then shall ye do, as I have done.— The beard, shall ye not cover, And the bread of other men: , shall ye not eat;
Și veți face precum eu am făcut: nu [vă] veți acoperi buzele, nici nu veți mânca pâinea oamenilor.
23 And your chaplets shall be on your heads. And your sandals on your feet, Ye shall neither lament, nor weep, - Yet shall ye pine away in your iniquities, and shall groan one to another.
Și tiarele voastre [vor fi] pe capetele voastre și sandalele voastre în picioarele voastre; nu veți jeli nici nu veți plânge; ci veți lâncezi pentru nelegiuirile voastre și veți jeli unul față de altul.
24 So shall Ezekiel become to you a wonder, According to all that he hath done, shall ye do: When it cometh, then shall ye know that I am The Lord, Yahweh.
Astfel Ezechiel este un semn pentru voi: conform cu toate câte el a făcut veți face voi; și când acest [lucru] va veni, veți cunoaște că eu [sunt] Domnul DUMNEZEU.
25 Thou, therefore Son of man, Shall it not be— In the day when I take away from them Their strength, The joy of their adorning, — The delight of their eyes And the desire of their soul, Their sons and their daughters
De asemenea, tu, fiu al omului, nu [se va întâmpla aceasta] în ziua când voi lua de la ei puterea lor, bucuria gloriei lor, dorința ochilor lor și spre ce își îndreaptă mințile, pe fiii lor și pe fiicele lor,
26 That in that day, one that hath escaped shall come in unto thee, —to cause thee to hear it with thine own ears?
[Că] cel care scapă în acea zi va veni la tine, pentru a [te] face să auzi [aceasta] cu urechile [tale]?
27 That in that day, thy mouth shall be opened unto him that hath escaped, And thou shalt speak and not be dumb any longer? So shalt thou become to them a wonder, And they shall know that, I, am Yahweh.
În acea zi gura ta va fi deschisă spre cel scăpat și vei vorbi și nu vei mai fi mut; și vei fi un semn pentru ei; iar ei vor cunoaște că eu [sunt] DOMNUL.
