< Ezekiel 19 >
1 Thou. therefore take up a dirge, for the prince of Israel;
“Kọ orin ọ̀fọ̀ nítorí àwọn ọmọ-aládé Israẹli
2 and thou shalt say— How was thy mother a lioness, Between lions, she lay down, - In the midst of young lions, She nourished her whelps;
wí pé: “‘Èwo nínú abo kìnnìún ni ìyá rẹ̀ ní àárín àwọn kìnnìún yòókù? Ó sùn ní àárín àwọn ọ̀dọ́ kìnnìún ó sì ń tọ́jú àwọn ọmọ rẹ̀.
3 And she reared up one of her whelps— A young lion, he became, And he learned to rend prey. Men, he devoured.
Ó sì tọ́ ọ̀kan nínú àwọn ọmọ rẹ̀ dàgbà, ó sì di kìnnìún tó ní agbára, ó kọ́ ọ láti ṣọdẹ, ó sì ń pa àwọn ènìyàn jẹ.
4 Then nations heard of him. In their pit, was he caught, — So they brought him with hooks. Into the land of Egypt.
Àwọn orílẹ̀-èdè gbọ́ nípa rẹ̀, wọ́n sì fi ẹ̀wọ̀n mú un nínú iho wọn. Wọn fi ẹ̀wọ̀n mu nu lọ sí ilẹ̀ Ejibiti.
5 And she saw she had waited Lost was her hope, Then took she another of her whelps. A young lion, she made him.
“‘Nígbà tí abo kìnnìún yìí rí pé ìrètí rẹ̀ sì jásí asán, ó mú ọmọ rẹ̀ mìíràn ó sì tún tọ́ ọ dàgbà di kìnnìún tó ní agbára.
6 Yea he went to and fro amidst lions A young lion, he became, - And he learned to rend prey. Men, he devoured;
Ó sì ń rìn káàkiri láàrín àwọn kìnnìún nítorí pé ó ti lágbára, o kọ ọdẹ ṣíṣe, ó sì pa àwọn ènìyàn.
7 And he injured his widows, And their cities, laid waste, - And deserted was the land and its fulness, At the noise of his roaring.
Ó sì wó odi wọn palẹ̀ ó sì sọ àwọn ìlú wọn di ahoro. Ilẹ̀ náà àti àwọn olùgbé ibẹ̀ sì wà ní ìpayà nítorí bíbú ramúramù rẹ̀.
8 Then set upon him the nations round about. From the provinces, - And spread over him their net In their pit, was he caught;

9 And they put him in a cage with hooks, And brought him to Babylon’s king, — They brought him into strong-holds, That his noise might be heard no more Among the mountains of Israel.

10 Thy mother [was] like a vine of thy vineyard, By waters, was planted, — Fruitful and full of branches, she became By reason of waters abundant;
“‘Ìyá rẹ dàbí àjàrà nínú ọgbà àjàrà rẹ̀; tí á gbìn sí etí odò ó, kún fún èso, ó sì kún fún ẹ̀ka nítorí ọ̀pọ̀lọpọ̀ omi.
11 And they served her as staves of power For the sceptres of rulers, And high became the stature thereof With its interwoven foliage, - And it was seen by its height, By its multitude of branches.
Àwọn ẹ̀ka rẹ̀ lágbára tó láti fi ṣe ọ̀pá àṣẹ ìjòyè, ó ga sókè láàrín ewé rẹ̀, gíga rẹ̀ hàn jáde láàrín ọ̀pọ̀lọpọ̀ ẹ̀ka rẹ̀.
12 Then was she uprooted in indignation To the ground, was she cast, And an east wind, dried up her fruit, —Broken off and withered were her staves of power, A fire, devoured them.
Ṣùgbọ́n ó fà á tu ní ìrunú, á sì wọ́ ọ lulẹ̀, afẹ́fẹ́ láti ìlà-oòrùn sì gbé èso rẹ̀, ọ̀pá líle rẹ̀ ti ṣẹ́, ó sì rọ iná sì jó wọn run.
13 Now, therefore, is she planted in a desert, -In a land parched and dry;
Báyìí, a tún ún gbìn sínú aṣálẹ̀ ni ilẹ̀ gbígbẹ àti ilẹ̀ tó ń pòǹgbẹ omi.
14 And there hath gone forth a fire out of her staves of rods. Her fruit, hath it devoured, And there is in her no staff of power. As a sceptre to bear rule. A dirge, it is, and hath been made a dirge.
Iná sì jáde láti ọ̀kan lára ẹ̀ka rẹ̀ ó sì pa ẹ̀ka àti èso rẹ̀ run, dé bi pé kò sí ẹ̀ka tó lágbára lórí rẹ̀ mọ́; èyí to ṣe fi ṣe ọ̀pá fún olórí mọ́.’ Èyí ni orin ọ̀fọ̀ a o sì máa lo bí orin ọ̀fọ̀.”
