Ezekiel 13
1 And the word of Yahweh came unto me, saying:
Ergasii dubbiin Waaqayyoo akkana jedhee gara koo dhufe:
2 Son of man. prophesy against the prophets of Israel, who are prophesying, —and say unto them who prophesy out of their own heart, Hear ye the word of Yahweh,
“Yaa ilma namaa, raajota Israaʼel kanneen amma raajii dubbachaa jiraniin mormuudhaan raaji. Warra yaaduma ofii isaanii raajaniin akkana jedhi: ‘Dubbii Waaqayyoo dhagaʼaa!
3 Thus, saith My Lord, Yahweh, Alas for the base prophets, —who follow their own spirit and have seen, nothing.
Waaqayyo Gooftaan akkana jedha: Raajota gowwaa kanneen utuu homaa hin argin hafuura ofii isaanii duukaa buʼan sanaaf wayyoo!
4 As jackals, among ruins, thy prophets O Israel have been.
Yaa Israaʼel, raajonni kee akkuma waangota waan diigame gidduu jiraatanii ti.
5 Ye have not gone up into the breaches, Nor built a wall about the house of Israel, - to stand in the battle in the day of Yahweh.
Isin akka dallaan sun guyyaa waraana Waaqayyootti jabaatee dhaabatuuf dallaa cabe sana mana Israaʼeliif deebiftanii ijaaruudhaaf jettanii ol hin baane.
6 They have had Visions of falsehood, and Divinations of lies, Who say. Declareth Yahweh, when, Yahweh, hath not sent them, — Yet have they waited for a fulfilling of the word.
Mulʼanni isaanii soba; raajiin isaanii soba. Isaan utuu Waaqayyo isaan hin ergin, “Waaqayyo akkana jedha” jedhu; taʼus isaan akka dubbiin isaanii raawwatamu eeggatu.
7 Is it not a Vision of falsehood, ye have seen, and a Divination of lies, ye have spoken, Since ye are saying. Declareth Yahweh! when I have not spoken?
Ani dubbachuu baadhu iyyuu isin, “Waaqayyo akkana jedha” jechuun keessan mulʼata sobaa arguu keessanii fi raajii sobaa dubbachuu keessan mitii?
8 Therefore Thus saith My Lord Yahweh, Because ye have spoken falsehood, And have had visions of lies, Therefore behold me! against you, Declareth My Lord Yahweh.
“‘Kanaafuu Waaqayyo Gooftaan akkana jedha: Sababii dubbii sobaa keessaniitii fi mulʼata sobaa keessaniitiif ani isinitti kaʼa, jedha Waaqayyo Gooftaan.
9 So then my hand shall be against the prophets who have Visions of falsehood and who divine Divinations of lies— In the council of my people, shall they not be found. And in the register of the house of Israel, shall they not be written, And Upon the so of Israel, shall they not enter, — So shall ye know that, I, am The Lord Yahweh,
Harki koo raajota mulʼata sobaa arganii raajii sobaa dubbatanitti ni kaʼa. Isaan miseensa waldaa saba kootii hin taʼan yookaan galmee mana Israaʼel irratti hin galmeeffaman yookaan biyya Israaʼel hin seenan. Ergasii isin akka ani Waaqayyo Gooftaa taʼe ni beektu.
10 Because, yea, even because, they have led astray my people saying. Prosperity! when there was no prosperity, —and one man, was building a partition wall, when there they were! eating it with whitewash
“‘Isaan yeroo nagaan hin jirretti, “Nagaa dha” jechaa saba koo karaa irraa waan jalʼisanii yeroo namoonni dallaa dhagaa ijaaranitti nooraa dibaniif,
11 Say thou unto them who are coating with whitewash It shall fall, - There hath come an overflowing rain And I will make hail-stones fall, And a tempestuous wind shall break it down.
ati akka dallaan sun jigu warra nooraa itti diban sanatti himi. Bokkaan hamaan ni rooba; dhagaan cabbii ni buʼa; bubbeen jabaan ni bubbisa.
12 Lo! when the wall hath fallen, shall it not be said unto you, Where is the coating, wherewith ye coated it?
Yeroo dallaan sun jigutti namoonni, “Nooraan isin itti dibdan sun eessa jira” jedhanii isin hin gaafatanii?
13 Therefore Thus saith my Lord, Yahweh, So will I break down with a tempestuous wind. in mine indignation, — And an overflowing rain in mine anger, shall there be, With hailstones in wrath to make an end;
“‘Kanaafuu Waaqayyo Gooftaan akkana jedha: Ani dheekkamsa kootiin bubbee hamaa nan kaasa; aarii kootiinis dhagaa cabbii fi bokkaa hamaan badiisa fidu ni rooba.
14 And I will pull down the wall which ye have coated with whitewash And will bring it unto the ground So shall be discovered its foundation, Yea it shall fall And ye shall come to an end in the midst thereof, So shall ye know that, I, am Yahweh.
Ani akka hundeen isaa qullaatti hafuuf dhagaa isin nooraa dibdan sana diigee lafaan wal nan qixxeessa. Yommuu inni jigutti isin isa keessatti ni barbadeeffamtu; akka ani Waaqayyo taʼes ni beektu.
15 Thus will I bring to an end mine indignation against the wall, and against them who were coating it with whitewash, And will say to you No more is the wall, And no more are they who were coating it:
Dallaa sanaa fi warra nooraa itti dibanitti dheekkamsa koo nan roobsa. Anis akkana isiniin nan jedha; “Dallaan sunii fi warri dallaa sana nooraa diban sun ni badu;
16 to wit the prophets of Israel who are prophesying unto Jerusalem, and are seeing, on her behalf, visions of prosperity, — when there is no prosperity, Declareth My Lord Yahweh.
raajonni Israaʼel kanneen Yerusaalemiif raajanii utuu nagaan hin jiraatin mulʼata nagaa isheef argan sunis ni badu, jedha Waaqayyo Gooftaan.”’
17 And thou, Son of man Set thy face against the daughters of thy people, Those who are prophesying out of their own heart, — And prophesy thou against them;
“Ammas yaa ilma namaa, fuula kee gara intallan saba keetii kanneen waanuma ofii yaadan raajaniitti deebifadhuutii isaaniin mormuudhaan raaji;
18 and say, Thus, saith My Lord Yahweh, Alas! for the women Who sew oracle, cases on all elbows And prepare wraps upon the head of every stature to hunt souls, — the souls ye hunt, are those of my people, Whereas your own souls: , ye keep alive.
akkanas jedhi; ‘Waaqayyo Gooftaan akkana jedha: Dubartoota kiyyoo keessa nama galchuuf jedhanii manyʼee harka isaanii hundaaf kudhaama hodhatanii haguuggii garaa garaa mataa isaaniitti haguuggataniif wayyoo. Isin lubbuu saba koo kiyyoo keessa galchitanii kan ofii keessanii immoo oolfattuu?
19 Thus have ye profaned me unto my people for handfuls of barley and for pieces of bread, Putting to death the souls that should not die, and Keeping alive the souls that should not live, — By your lying to my people, who hearken to lies
Isin garbuu konyee tokkoo fi buddeena cabaa tokkoof jettanii uummata koo gidduutti na xureessitaniirtu. Uummata koo isa soba keessan dhagaʼuttis sobuudhaan warra duʼuu hin qabne ajjeeftanii warra jiraachuu hin qabne immoo baraartaniirtu.
20 Therefore, Thus saith my Lord Yahweh, Behold me! against your oracle-cases wherewith ye are hunting the souls to make them fly, And I will tear them off your arms, And let go the souls of them whose souls ye are hunting as birds;
“‘Kanaafuu Waaqayyo Gooftaan akkana jedha: Kunoo, ani kudhaama keessan kan isin akkuma simbira kiyyeeffamtuutti uummata ittiin kiyyeessitanitti nan kaʼa; harka keessan irraas nan cira; uummata isin akkuma simbirri kiyyeeffamtutti kiyyeessitan sanas kiyyoo keessaa nan baasa.
21 And will tear off your wraps, And deliver my people out of your hand, And they shall be no longer in your hand to be hunted; - So shall ye know that, I, am Yahweh.
Ani haguuggii keessan tarsaasee saba koo harka keessan keessaa nan baasa; isaan siʼachi harka keessan jalatti hin bulan. Ergasii isin akka ani Waaqayyo taʼe ni beektu.
22 Because of the paining of the heart of the righteous man with falsehood, whom, I, have not pained, — And strengthening the hands of the lawless man, that he should not turn from his wicked way. by letting him live
Ani isa dirqisiisuu baadhu iyyuu isin waan soba keessaniin nama qajeelaa dirqisiiftanii fi waan akka namni hamaan karaa isaa hamaa sana irraa deebiʼee lubbuu isaa oolfatuuf hin jajjabeessiniif,
23 Therefore—of falsehood: , shall ye have no vision, And a divination: , shall ye not divine any more, — So will I deliver my people out of your hand, And ye shall know that, I, am Yahweh.
isin siʼachi mulʼata sobaa hin argitan yookaan raajii sobaa hin dubbattan. Anis saba koo harka keessan keessaa nan baasa. Ergasiis isin akka ani Waaqayyo taʼe ni beektu.’”
