Ezekiel 13
1 And the word of Yahweh came unto me, saying:
Pawòl SENYÈ a te vin kote mwen. Li te di:
2 Son of man. prophesy against the prophets of Israel, who are prophesying, —and say unto them who prophesy out of their own heart, Hear ye the word of Yahweh,
“Fis a lòm, pwofetize kont pwofèt Israël ki pwofetize. Di a sila kap pwofetize pawòl ki soti nan pwòp enspirasyon pa yo, ‘Koute pawòl SENYÈ a:
3 Thus, saith My Lord, Yahweh, Alas for the base prophets, —who follow their own spirit and have seen, nothing.
Konsa pale Senyè BONDYE a: “Malè a pwofèt san konprann k ap swiv pwòp lespri pa yo, e ki pa t vrèman wè anyen.
4 As jackals, among ruins, thy prophets O Israel have been.
O Israël, pwofèt nou yo te tankou rena pami pil mazi ki fin kraze.
5 Ye have not gone up into the breaches, Nor built a wall about the house of Israel, - to stand in the battle in the day of Yahweh.
Nou pa t antre nan brèch yo, ni nou pa t bati yon miray pou antoure lakay Israël pou l ta ka kanpe nan batay nan jou SENYÈ a.
6 They have had Visions of falsehood, and Divinations of lies, Who say. Declareth Yahweh, when, Yahweh, hath not sent them, — Yet have they waited for a fulfilling of the word.
Yo wè tout sa ki fo, ak divinò k ap bay manti yo, k ap di: ‘Pawòl SENYÈ a deklare’, lè se pa SENYÈ a ki te voye yo. Malgre sa, yo gen espwa ke pawòl yo va vin akonpli.
7 Is it not a Vision of falsehood, ye have seen, and a Divination of lies, ye have spoken, Since ye are saying. Declareth Yahweh! when I have not spoken?
Èske nou pa t fè yon fo vizyon, e pale ak lang ki t ap bay manti lè nou te di: ‘SENYÈ a deklare’, men se pa Mwen ki te pale a?”’”
8 Therefore Thus saith My Lord Yahweh, Because ye have spoken falsehood, And have had visions of lies, Therefore behold me! against you, Declareth My Lord Yahweh.
Akoz sa, pale Senyè BONDYE a: “Akoz nou te pale sa ki fo, e te wè yon manti; akoz sa, gade byen, Mwen kont nou,” deklare Senyè BONDYE a.
9 So then my hand shall be against the prophets who have Visions of falsehood and who divine Divinations of lies— In the council of my people, shall they not be found. And in the register of the house of Israel, shall they not be written, And Upon the so of Israel, shall they not enter, — So shall ye know that, I, am The Lord Yahweh,
“Konsa, men Mwen va kont pwofèt yo ki fè fo vizyon yo; ki pale divinasyon ki manti yo. Yo p ap gen plas nan konsèy a pèp Mwen an ni yo p ap ekri nan rejis lakay Israël yo. Ni yo p ap antre nan peyi Israël la. Konsa, nou ka konnen ke Mwen se Senyè BONDYE a.”
10 Because, yea, even because, they have led astray my people saying. Prosperity! when there was no prosperity, —and one man, was building a partition wall, when there they were! eating it with whitewash
“‘Akoz, anverite yo te egare pèp Mwen an lè yo te di: “Lapè,” lè pa t gen lapè. Lè nenpòt moun bati yon miray, gade byen, yo fè l randwi ak lacho.
11 Say thou unto them who are coating with whitewash It shall fall, - There hath come an overflowing rain And I will make hail-stones fall, And a tempestuous wind shall break it down.
Donk, pale a sila ki randwi li ak lacho yo, ke li va tonbe. Yon inondasyon lapli va vini, e nou menm, o gran lagrèl, va tonbe. Yon van vyolan va pete l.
12 Lo! when the wall hath fallen, shall it not be said unto you, Where is the coating, wherewith ye coated it?
Gade byen, lè miray la fin tonbe, èske yo p ap mande nou: “Kote lacho ke nou te sèvi nan randwi li a?”
13 Therefore Thus saith my Lord, Yahweh, So will I break down with a tempestuous wind. in mine indignation, — And an overflowing rain in mine anger, shall there be, With hailstones in wrath to make an end;
“‘Pou sa, pale Senyè BONDYE a: “Mwen va fè yon van vyolan vin pete nan kòlè Mwen. Anplis, va genyen nan mekontantman Mwen, yon inondasyon lapli ak lagrèl pou konsonmen li nèt ak gwo laraj.
14 And I will pull down the wall which ye have coated with whitewash And will bring it unto the ground So shall be discovered its foundation, Yea it shall fall And ye shall come to an end in the midst thereof, So shall ye know that, I, am Yahweh.
Konsa, Mwen va demoli miray ke nou te kouvri ak randisaj la jis rive atè, jis fondasyon li yo fin ekspoze nèt. Epi lè l tonbe, nou va vin manje nan mitan li. Epi nou va vin konprann ke se Mwen ki SENYÈ a.
15 Thus will I bring to an end mine indignation against the wall, and against them who were coating it with whitewash, And will say to you No more is the wall, And no more are they who were coating it:
Se konsa, Mwen va pase kòlè Mwen sou miray la ak sou sila ki te fè randisaj ak lacho sou li yo. Mwen va di nou, ‘Miray la pa la ankò, ni bòs randisaj yo pa la ankò.
16 to wit the prophets of Israel who are prophesying unto Jerusalem, and are seeing, on her behalf, visions of prosperity, — when there is no prosperity, Declareth My Lord Yahweh.
Konsa ak pwofèt Israël sa yo ki pwofetize a Jérusalem yo, ki te fè vizyon lapè pou li yo, lè pat gen lapè a,’” deklare Senyè BONDYE a.
17 And thou, Son of man Set thy face against the daughters of thy people, Those who are prophesying out of their own heart, — And prophesy thou against them;
Alò, ou menm, fis a lòm, mete figi ou kont fi a pèp ou yo, k ap pwofetize apati pwòp enspirasyon yo. Se pou ou pwofetize kont yo,
18 and say, Thus, saith My Lord Yahweh, Alas! for the women Who sew oracle, cases on all elbows And prepare wraps upon the head of every stature to hunt souls, — the souls ye hunt, are those of my people, Whereas your own souls: , ye keep alive.
pou di: “Konsa pale Senyè BONDYE a: ‘Malè a fanm ki koud braslè kon wanga sou tout ponyèt yo e fè vwal yo pou tèt moun tout wotè, pou fè lachas moun! Èske nou va chase nanm a pèp Mwen an, men konsève nanm a lòt yo pou nou menm?
19 Thus have ye profaned me unto my people for handfuls of barley and for pieces of bread, Putting to death the souls that should not die, and Keeping alive the souls that should not live, — By your lying to my people, who hearken to lies
Pou yon men ki plen ak lòj ak kèk grenn pen, nou te degrade Mwen a pèp Mwen an, pou fè lantre nan lanmò kèk nanm ki pa ta dwe mouri, e kenbe vivan lòt ki pa ta dwe viv, nan fè manti ou a pèp Mwen an ki koute manti.’”
20 Therefore, Thus saith my Lord Yahweh, Behold me! against your oracle-cases wherewith ye are hunting the souls to make them fly, And I will tear them off your arms, And let go the souls of them whose souls ye are hunting as birds;
Akoz sa, pale Senyè BONDYE a: “Gade byen, Mwen kont braslè wanga nou yo, avèk sila nou chache lavi moun, tankou se zwazo yo. Mwen va rache yo nan bra nou. Epi Mwen va lage nanm sa yo lib, menm nanm de sila ke nou kapte, tankou se zwazo yo.
21 And will tear off your wraps, And deliver my people out of your hand, And they shall be no longer in your hand to be hunted; - So shall ye know that, I, am Yahweh.
Anplis, Mwen va chire vwal nou yo, Mwen va delivre pèp Mwen an soti nan men nou, e yo p ap nan men nou ankò pou fè viktim lachas. Konsa, nou va konnen ke Mwen se SENYÈ a.
22 Because of the paining of the heart of the righteous man with falsehood, whom, I, have not pained, — And strengthening the hands of the lawless man, that he should not turn from his wicked way. by letting him live
Akoz nou te dekouraje moun ladwati a lè Mwen pa t fè yo trist; epi nou te ankouraje mechan an pou l pa kite mechanste li, pou l sove,
23 Therefore—of falsehood: , shall ye have no vision, And a divination: , shall ye not divine any more, — So will I deliver my people out of your hand, And ye shall know that, I, am Yahweh.
pou sa, nou p ap fè fo vizyon ankò, ni pratike divinasyon. Mwen va delivre pèp Mwen an sòti nan men nou. Konsa, nou va konnen ke Mwen se SENYÈ a.”
