Ezekiel 13

1 And the word of Yahweh came unto me, saying:

Und es geschah das Wort Jehovahs an mich, sprechend:

2 Son of man. prophesy against the prophets of Israel, who are prophesying, —and say unto them who prophesy out of their own heart, Hear ye the word of Yahweh,

Menschensohn, weissage über die Propheten Israels, die da weissagen, und sprich zu denen, die aus ihrem Herzen weissagen: Hört das Wort Jehovahs.

3 Thus, saith My Lord, Yahweh, Alas for the base prophets, —who follow their own spirit and have seen, nothing.

So spricht der Herr Jehovah: Wehe über die törichten Propheten, die nach ihrem Geiste gehen und dem, was sie nicht sahen.

4 As jackals, among ruins, thy prophets O Israel have been.

Wie Füchse in den Öden sind, Israel, deine Propheten geworden.

5 Ye have not gone up into the breaches, Nor built a wall about the house of Israel, - to stand in the battle in the day of Yahweh.

Ihr stieget nicht hinauf in die Durchbrüche, noch zäuntet ihr einen Zaun für das Haus Israel, zu stehen im Streit am Tag Jehovahs.

6 They have had Visions of falsehood, and Divinations of lies, Who say. Declareth Yahweh, when, Yahweh, hath not sent them, — Yet have they waited for a fulfilling of the word.

Sie schauen Eitles und wahrsagen Falsches, sie sprechen: Jehovahs Spruch! und Jehovah hat sie nicht gesandt, und lassen darauf warten, daß Er das Wort bestätige.

7 Is it not a Vision of falsehood, ye have seen, and a Divination of lies, ye have spoken, Since ye are saying. Declareth Yahweh! when I have not spoken?

Habt ihr nicht ein eitel Gesicht geschaut, falsche Wahrsagungen gesprochen? und ihr sprechet: Jehovahs Spruch! und Ich habe nicht geredet.

8 Therefore Thus saith My Lord Yahweh, Because ye have spoken falsehood, And have had visions of lies, Therefore behold me! against you, Declareth My Lord Yahweh.

Darum spricht so der Herr Jehovah: Weil ihr Eitles redet und Falsches schaut, darum sehet, bin Ich wider euch, spricht der Herr Jehovah.

9 So then my hand shall be against the prophets who have Visions of falsehood and who divine Divinations of lies— In the council of my people, shall they not be found. And in the register of the house of Israel, shall they not be written, And Upon the so of Israel, shall they not enter, — So shall ye know that, I, am The Lord Yahweh,

Und Meine Hand soll sein wider die Propheten, die Eitles schauen und Falsches wahrsagen. Im Kreise Meines Volkes sollen sie nicht sein und nicht eingeschrieben in die Schrift des Hauses Israels und nicht kommen auf den Boden Israels, auf daß ihr wisset, daß Ich der Herr Jehovah bin.

10 Because, yea, even because, they have led astray my people saying. Prosperity! when there was no prosperity, —and one man, was building a partition wall, when there they were! eating it with whitewash

Weil und alldieweil sie Mein Volk verleiten und sprechen: Friede! und ist kein Friede. Und baut es eine Scheidemauer - sie übertünchen sie mit Untauglichem.

11 Say thou unto them who are coating with whitewash It shall fall, - There hath come an overflowing rain And I will make hail-stones fall, And a tempestuous wind shall break it down.

Sprich zu den Tünchern mit dem Untauglichen: Sie falle! Ein überflutender Platzregen ist da, und ihr, Steine des Hagels, sollet fallen, und ein Wind des Wettersturmes soll sie durchbrechen.

12 Lo! when the wall hath fallen, shall it not be said unto you, Where is the coating, wherewith ye coated it?

Und siehe, die Wand fällt. Wird man nicht zu euch sagen: Wo ist die Tünche, mit der ihr habt getüncht?

13 Therefore Thus saith my Lord, Yahweh, So will I break down with a tempestuous wind. in mine indignation, — And an overflowing rain in mine anger, shall there be, With hailstones in wrath to make an end;

Darum, so spricht der Herr Jehovah, lasse Ich den Wind des Wettersturmes durchbrechen in Meinem Grimm, und ein überflutender Platzregen kommt in Meinem Zorn, und Steine des Hagels im Grimm zur Vollendung.

14 And I will pull down the wall which ye have coated with whitewash And will bring it unto the ground So shall be discovered its foundation, Yea it shall fall And ye shall come to an end in the midst thereof, So shall ye know that, I, am Yahweh.

Und reiße nieder die Wand, die ihr mit Untauglichem getüncht, und bringe sie zur Erde danieder, daß ihre Grundfeste aufgedeckt wird, und sie fällt, daß ihr alle werdet in ihrer Mitte; auf daß ihr wisset, daß Ich Jehovah bin.

15 Thus will I bring to an end mine indignation against the wall, and against them who were coating it with whitewash, And will say to you No more is the wall, And no more are they who were coating it:

Und Ich vollende Meinen Grimm an der Wand, und an denen, die mit dem Untauglichem sie getüncht haben, und spreche zu euch: Nicht mehr ist die Mauer, und nicht mehr die, die so übertünchten.

16 to wit the prophets of Israel who are prophesying unto Jerusalem, and are seeing, on her behalf, visions of prosperity, — when there is no prosperity, Declareth My Lord Yahweh.

Die Propheten Israels, die über Jerusalem weissagten, und die Schauer, die für sie Frieden schauten, und ist kein Frieden, spricht der Herr Jehovah.

17 And thou, Son of man Set thy face against the daughters of thy people, Those who are prophesying out of their own heart, — And prophesy thou against them;

Du aber, Menschensohn, richte dein Angesicht auf deines Volkes Töchter, die da aus ihrem Herzen weissagen, und weissage über sie!

18 and say, Thus, saith My Lord Yahweh, Alas! for the women Who sew oracle, cases on all elbows And prepare wraps upon the head of every stature to hunt souls, — the souls ye hunt, are those of my people, Whereas your own souls: , ye keep alive.

Und sprich: So spricht der Herr Jehovah: Wehe euch, die ihr Kissen nähet an alle Gelenke der Hände, und Kopftücher für Köpfe jeglichen Wuchses machet, um Seelen zu erjagen. - Die Seelen erjaget ihr Meinem Volk, und erhaltet euch Seelen am Leben.

19 Thus have ye profaned me unto my people for handfuls of barley and for pieces of bread, Putting to death the souls that should not die, and Keeping alive the souls that should not live, — By your lying to my people, who hearken to lies

Und ihr entweiht Mich bei Meinem Volke für eine Handvoll Gerste und für Bissen Brotes, damit, daß ihr Seelen zum Tode bringt, die nicht sterben sollten, und am Leben erhaltet Seelen, die nicht leben sollten, damit, daß ihr täuschet Mein Volk, die, so auf Falsches hören.

20 Therefore, Thus saith my Lord Yahweh, Behold me! against your oracle-cases wherewith ye are hunting the souls to make them fly, And I will tear them off your arms, And let go the souls of them whose souls ye are hunting as birds;

Darum, so spricht der Herr Jehovah, siehe, Ich will an eure Kissen, womit ihr die Seelen jaget, daß sie entfliegen. Aber Ich reiße sie ab von euren Armen und entsende die Seelen, die ihr jagtet, - die Seelen, daß sie entfliegen.

21 And will tear off your wraps, And deliver my people out of your hand, And they shall be no longer in your hand to be hunted; - So shall ye know that, I, am Yahweh.

Und Ich zerreiße eure Kopftücher und errette Mein Volk aus eurer Hand, daß sie nicht mehr in eurer Hand als Erjagtes sind, und ihr wisset, daß Ich Jehovah bin.

22 Because of the paining of the heart of the righteous man with falsehood, whom, I, have not pained, — And strengthening the hands of the lawless man, that he should not turn from his wicked way. by letting him live

Weil ihr durch Lüge des Gerechten Herz verzagen lasset, dem Ich nicht wehe tun will, und ihr stärket die Hände des Ungerechten, daß er von seinem bösen Weg nicht umkehre und am Leben bleibe.

23 Therefore—of falsehood: , shall ye have no vision, And a divination: , shall ye not divine any more, — So will I deliver my people out of your hand, And ye shall know that, I, am Yahweh.

Darum sollt ihr nicht Eitles schauen, und Wahrsagung nicht weiter wahrsagen. Und Ich errette Mein Volk aus eurer Hand, daß ihr wisset, daß Ich Jehovah bin.
