Exodus 40
1 Then spake Yahweh unto Moses, saying—
Entonces Yavé habló a Moisés:
2 On the first day of the month, in the first month, shalt thou rear the habitation, of the tent of meeting;
El primer día del mes primero ordenarás levantar el Tabernáculo de Reunión.
3 and thou shalt put therein, the ark of the testimony, —and shalt screen the ark with the veil;
Pondrás allí el Arca del Testimonio y la ocultarás con el velo.
4 and thou shalt bring in the table, and set in order what is to be arranged thereupon, —and thou shalt bring in the lampstand, and mount the lamps thereof;
Introducirás la mesa, arreglarás sus utensilios, pondrás el candelabro y mandarás encender sus lámparas.
5 and thou shalt place the altar of gold for incense, before the ark of the testimony, —and put up the screen for the opening of the habitation;
Luego pondrás el altar de oro para el incienso frente al Arca del Testimonio, y pondrás la cortina en la entrada del Tabernáculo.
6 and thou shalt place the altar for the ascending-sacrifice, —before the opening of the habitation of the tent of meeting;
Pondrás el altar del holocausto después de la entrada al Tabernáculo de Reunión.
7 and thou shalt place the laver between the tent of meeting, and the altar, and shalt put therein water,
Pondrás la fuente entre la entrada al Tabernáculo de Reunión y el altar, y echarás agua en ella.
8 And thou shalt put up the court round about, and hang up the screen of the gate of the court.
Arreglarás el patio alrededor, y colgarás la cortina de la entrada al patio.
9 And thou shalt take the oil of anointing, and anoint the habitation and all that is therein, —and shalt hallow it. and all the furniture thereof so shall it be holy.
Tomarás el aceite de la unción y ungirás el Tabernáculo y todo lo que hay en él. Así lo consagrarás junto con todos sus utensilios, y será sagrado.
10 And thou shalt anoint the altar of ascending sacrifice, and all its utensils, —and hallow the altar, so shall the altar be most holy:
Ungirás también el altar del holocausto y todos sus utensilios, y santificarás el altar. El altar será santísimo.
11 and thou shalt anoint the laver and its stand, —and shalt hallow it.
También ungirás la fuente y su basa y la consagrarás.
12 And thou shalt bring near Aaron and his sons, unto the opening of the tent of meeting, —and shalt bathe them in the water;
En seguida ordenarás que Aarón y sus hijos se acerquen a la entrada del Tabernáculo de Reunión, y los lavarás con agua.
13 and thou shalt clothe Aaron with the holy garments, —and shalt anoint him and hallow him so shall he minister as priest unto me.
Vestirás a Aarón las ropas sagradas, lo ungirás y lo consagrarás para que sea mi sacerdote.
14 His sons also, shalt thou bring near, —and shalt clothe them with tunics;
Ordenarás que se acerquen sus hijos, les pondrás las túnicas
15 and shalt anoint them as thou didst anoint their father, and they shall minister as priests unto me, —so shall their anointing remain to them for an age-abiding priesthood, to their generations.
y los ungirás como ungiste a su padre. Serán mis sacerdotes. Su unción les servirá como sacerdocio perpetuo para sus generaciones.
16 And Moses did, —according to all that Yahweh had commanded him, so did he.
Moisés hizo conforme a todo lo que Yavé le ordenó. Así lo hizo.
17 Thus came it to pass, in the first month, in the second year, on the first of the month, that the habitation was reared.
Aconteció que el Tabernáculo fue levantado el primer día del primer mes del segundo año.
18 Yea Moses reared the habitation, and placed its sockets, and fixed its boards, and fastened its bars, —and reared its pillars.
Moisés ordenó levantar el Tabernáculo. Asentó sus basas, puso sus tablones, metió sus travesaños y ordenó levantar sus columnas.
19 Then spread he abroad the tent upon the habitation, and put the covering of the tent upon it, above, —As Yahweh commanded Moses.
Extendió la tienda sobre el Tabernáculo, y puso el cobertor de la tienda encima de él, como Yavé ordenó a Moisés.
20 And he took and placed the testimony within the ark, and put the staves upon the ark, —and placed the propitiatory upon the ark, above;
Después tomó el Testimonio y lo puso dentro del Arca, colocó las varas en el Arca y puso el Propiciatorio encima del Arca.
21 and brought in the ark into the habitation, and put up the screening veil, and screened over the ark of the testimony, —As Yahweh commanded Moses.
Introdujo el Arca en el Tabernáculo, y puso el velo de separación. De este modo ocultó el Arca del Testimonio, como Yavé ordenó a Moisés.
22 And he placed the table in the tent of meeting, —on the side of the habitation northward, —outside the veil;
Luego puso la mesa en el Tabernáculo de Reunión, al lado norte del Tabernáculo, fuera del velo,
23 and set in order thereupon the arrangement of bread before Yahweh, —As Yahweh commanded Moses.
y puso en orden sobre ella los panes delante de Yavé, como Yavé ordenó a Moisés.
24 And he put the lampstand, in the tent of meeting, over against the table, —on the side of the habitation southward;
Luego puso el candelabro en el Tabernáculo de Reunión enfrente de la mesa, al lado sur del Tabernáculo,
25 and mounted the lamps before Yahweh, —As Yahweh commanded Moses.
y ordenó encender las lámparas delante de Yavé, como Yavé ordenó a Moisés.
26 And he put the altar of gold in the tent of meeting, —before the veil;
Luego puso el altar de oro dentro del Tabernáculo de Reunión delante del velo,
27 and burned thereupon the fragrant incense, —As Yahweh commanded Moses.
y quemó incienso aromático sobre él, como Yavé ordenó a Moisés.
28 And he put up the screen of the entrance pertaining to the habitation;
Puso también la cortina en la entrada al Tabernáculo,
29 and, the altar of ascending-sacrifice, put he at the entrance of the habitation of the tent of meeting, —and he caused to ascend thereupon the ascending-sacrifice, and the meal-offering, —As Yahweh commanded Moses.
puso el altar del holocausto en la entrada del Tabernáculo de Reunión y ofreció holocausto y ofrenda vegetal sobre él, como Yavé ordenó a Moisés.
30 And he put the laver, between the tent of meeting, and the altar, —and put therein water for bathing;
Después colocó la fuente entre la entrada al Tabernáculo de Reunión y el altar, y puso allí agua para lavarse.
31 and Moses and Aaron and his sons thenceforth bathed thereat, —their hands and their feet;
Moisés y Aarón y sus hijos se lavaban sus manos y sus pies en ella.
32 when they were entering into the tent of meeting, and when they were drawing near unto the altar, then used they to bathe, —As Yahweh commanded Moses.
Siempre se lavaban cuando entraban en el Tabernáculo de Reunión y al acercarse al altar, como Yavé ordenó a Moisés.
33 And he reared the court round about to the habitation and to the altar, and put up the screen of the gate of the court, —and Moses finished the work.
Finalmente, hizo levantar el patio alrededor del Tabernáculo y del altar y puso la cortina en la entrada del patio. Así acabó Moisés la obra.
34 Then did the cloud cover the tent of meeting, —and, the glory of Yahweh, filled the habitation;
Entonces la nube cubrió el Tabernáculo de Reunión y la gloria de Yavé llenó el Tabernáculo.
35 and Moses was not able to enter into the tent of meeting, because the cloud had made its habitation thereupon, —and the glory of Yahweh, filled the habitation.
Moisés no podía entrar en el Tabernáculo de Reunión, porque la nube estaba sobre él y la gloria de Yavé llenó el Tabernáculo.
36 And whensoever the cloud ascended from off the habitation, then did the sons of Israel set forward, in all their journeyings;
Cuando la nube se levantaba de sobre el Tabernáculo, los hijos de Israel salían en todas sus jornadas,
37 but if the cloud did not ascend, then did they not set forward—until the day when it did ascend.
pero si la nube no se levantaba, no salían hasta el día cuando se levantaba,
38 For, the cloud of Yahweh, was upon the habitation by day, and, a fire, came to be by night therein, —in the sight of all the house of Israel in all their journeyings.
porque la nube de Yavé permanecía de día sobre el Tabernáculo, y de noche había fuego en él, a la vista de toda la casa de Israel.
