1 And Bezaleel made the ark, of acacia wood, two cubits and a half, the length thereof and, a cubit and a half, the breadth thereof, and, a cubit and a half, the height thereof;
Fecit autem Beseleel et arcam de lignis setim, habentem duos semis cubitos in longitudine, et cubitum ac semissem in latitudine, altitudo quoque unius cubiti fuit et dimidii: vestivitque eam auro purissimo intus ac foris.
2 and he overlaid it with pure gold within and without, -and made for it a rim of gold, round about;
Et fecit illi coronam auream per gyrum,
3 and he cast for it four rings of gold, upon the four feet thereof, —even, two rings, on the one side thereof and, two rings, on the other side thereof;
conflans quatuor annulos aureos per quatuor angulos ejus: duos annulos in latere uno, et duos in altero.
4 and he made staves of acacia wood, and overlaid them with gold;
Vectes quoque fecit de lignis setim, quos vestivit auro,
5 and he brought the staves into the rings, upon the sides of the ark, for lifting the ark.
et quos misit in annulos, qui erant in lateribus arcæ ad portandum eam.
6 And he made a propitiatory of pure gold, —two cubits and a half, the length thereof, and, a cubit and a half, the breadth thereof:
Fecit et propitiatorium, id est, oraculum, de auro mundissimo, duorum cubitorum et dimidii in longitudine, et cubiti ac semis in latitudine.
7 and he made two cherubim, of gold, of beaten work, did he make them, out of the two ends of the propitiatory:
Duos etiam cherubim ex auro ductili, quos posuit ex utraque parte propitiatorii:
8 one cherub, out of this end, and, one cherub, out of that end, out of the propitiatory itself, made he the cherubim, out of the two ends thereof:
cherub unum in summitate unius partis, et cherub alterum in summitate partis alterius: duos cherubim in singulis summitatibus propitiatorii,
9 and the cherubim were spreading out their wings on high making a shelter with their wings over the propitiatory, with, their faces, one towards the other, towards the propitiatory, were the faces of the cherubim,
extendentes alas, et tegentes propitiatorium, seque mutuo et illud respicientes.
10 And he made the table of acacia wood, two cubits, the length thereof and, a cubit, the breadth thereof, and a cubit and a half the height thereof,
Fecit et mensam de lignis setim in longitudine duorum cubitorum, et in latitudine unius cubiti, quæ habebat in altitudine cubitum ac semissem.
11 And he overlaid it with pure gold, —and he made thereto a rim of gold round about:
Circumdeditque eam auro mundissimo, et fecit illi labium aureum per gyrum,
12 and he mane thereto a border of a handbreadth, round about, and he made a rim of gold to the border thereof round about:
ipsique labio coronam auream interrasilem quatuor digitorum, et super eamdem, alteram coronam auream.
13 and he cast for it, four rings of gold, and placed the rings upon the four corners, which pertained to the four feet thereof:
Fudit et quatuor circulos aureos, quos posuit in quatuor angulis per singulos pedes mensæ
14 near to the border, were the rings, as receptacles for the staves, for lifting the table;
contra coronam: misitque in eos vectes, ut possit mensa portari.
15 and he made the staves of acacia wood, and overlaid them with gold, —for lifting the table;
Ipsos quoque vectes fecit de lignis setim, et circumdedit eos auro.
16 and he made the utensils which were to be upon the table, its dishes and its pans and its bowls, and its basins for pouring out therewith, of pure gold.
Et vasa ad diversos usus mensæ, acetabula, phialas, et cyathos, et thuribula, ex auro puro, in quibus offerenda sunt libamina.
17 And he made the lampstand, of pure gold, of beaten work, made he the lampstand, its base and its shafts, its cups, its apples and its blossoms were, of the same;
Fecit et candelabrum ductile de auro mundissimo, de cujus vecte calami, scyphi, sphærulæque, ac lilia procedebant:
18 with, six branches coming out of its sides, —three branches of the lampstand out of its one side and three branches of the lampstand out of its other side:
sex in utroque latere, tres calami ex parte una, et tres ex altera:
19 three cups like almond-flowers in the one branch—apple and blossom, and, three cups like almond-flowers, in the next branch, apple and blossom, so for the six branches coming out of the lampstand;
tres scyphi in nucis modum per calamos singulos, sphærulæque simul et lilia: et tres scyphi instar nucis in calamo altero, sphærulæque simul et lilia. Æquum erat opus sex calamorum, qui procedebant de stipite candelabri.
20 and in the lampstand itself, four cups, like almond-flowers, its apples and its blossoms:
In ipso autem vecte erant quatuor scyphi in nucis modum, sphærulæque per singulos simul et lilia:
21 with, an apple, under the two branches of the same, and, an apple, under the next two branches of the same, and, an apple, under the next two branches of the same, for the six branches coming out of the same:
et sphærulæ sub duobus calamis per loca tria, qui simul sex fiunt calami procedentes de vecte uno.
22 their apples and their brunches were of the same, all of it one beaten work, of pure gold.
Et sphærulæ igitur, et calami ex ipso erant, universa ductilia ex auro purissimo.
23 And he made the lamps thereof seven, —with its snuffers and its snuff-trays, of pure gold.
Fecit et lucernas septem cum emunctoriis suis, et vasa ubi ea, quæ emuncta sunt, extinguantur, de auro mundissimo.
24 Of a talent of pure gold, made he it, —and all the utensils thereof.
Talentum auri appendebat candelabrum cum omnibus vasis suis.
25 And he made the incense altar, of acacia wood, —a cubit, the length thereof, and, a cubit, the breadth thereof, foursquare, and two cubits the height thereof, of the same, were the horns thereof.
Fecit et altare thymiamatis de lignis setim, per quadrum singulos habens cubitos, et in altitudine duos: e cujus angulis procedebant cornua.
26 And he overlaid it with pure gold—the top thereof and the sides thereof round about, and the horns thereof, -and he made thereto a rim of gold, round about.
Vestivitque illud auro purissimo cum craticula ac parietibus et cornibus.
27 And two rings of gold, made he thereto—beneath the rim thereof, upon the two corners thereof, upon the two sides thereof, —as receptacles for the staves, to lift it therewith.
Fecitque ei coronam aureolam per gyrum, et duos annulos aureos sub corona per singula latera, ut mittantur in eos vectes, et possit altare portari.
28 And he made the staves of acacia wood, —and overlaid them with gold.
Ipsos autem vectes fecit de lignis setim, et operuit laminis aureis.
29 And he made the holy anointing oil, and the pure fragrant incense, —the work of a perfumer.
Composuit et oleum ad sanctificationis unguentum, et thymiama de aromatibus mundissimis opere pigmentarii.
