Exodus 36
1 Thus shall Bezaleel and Oholiab work, and every man that is wise-hearted, in whom Yahweh hath put wisdom and understanding, to know how to work any manner of workmanship for the holy service, —according to all that Yahweh hath commanded.
| ועשה בצלאל ואהליאב וכל איש חכם לב אשר נתן יהוה חכמה ותבונה בהמה לדעת לעשת את כל מלאכת עבדת הקדש לכל אשר צוה יהוה׃ |
2 So then Moses called upon Bezaleel, and upon Oholiab, and upon every man that was wise-hearted, in whose heart Yahweh had put wisdom, —every one whose heart lifted him up, to draw near unto the work, to do it.
| ויקרא משה אל בצלאל ואל אהליאב ואל כל איש חכם לב אשר נתן יהוה חכמה בלבו כל אשר נשאו לבו לקרבה אל המלאכה לעשת אתה׃ |
3 And they took, from the presence of Moses, all the heave-offering which the sons of Israel had brought in for the work of the holy service to do it, —howbeit, they, brought in unto him yet more free-will offerings, morning by morning.
| ויקחו מלפני משה את כל התרומה אשר הביאו בני ישראל למלאכת עבדת הקדש לעשת אתה והם הביאו אליו עוד נדבה בבקר בבקר׃ |
4 Then came in all the wise men who were doing all the holy work, —man by man from his work which, they, were doing;
| ויבאו כל החכמים העשים את כל מלאכת הקדש איש איש ממלאכתו אשר המה עשים׃ |
5 and spake unto Moses, saying, More than enough, are the people bringing in, —[more] than is needed for the service pertaining to the work; which Yahweh hath commanded to be done.
| ויאמרו אל משה לאמר מרבים העם להביא מדי העבדה למלאכה אשר צוה יהוה לעשת אתה׃ |
6 So Moses gave commandment and they passed a proclamation throughout the camp, saying, Let, neither man nor woman, make any more material for the holy heave-offering. So the people were restrained from bringing in.
| ויצו משה ויעבירו קול במחנה לאמר איש ואשה אל יעשו עוד מלאכה לתרומת הקדש ויכלא העם מהביא׃ |
7 For the material was enough for all the work, to make it, —and to spare.
| והמלאכה היתה דים לכל המלאכה לעשות אתה והותר׃ |
8 Then did all the wise-hearted among the workers of the material make the habitation of ten curtains, of fine-twined linen, and blue and purple and crimson, with cherubim the work of the skilful weaver, did he make them.
| ויעשו כל חכם לב בעשי המלאכה את המשכן עשר יריעת שש משזר ותכלת וארגמן ותולעת שני כרבים מעשה חשב עשה אתם׃ |
9 The length of each curtain, was twenty-eight cubits, and the breadth four cubits, for each curtain, —one measure, had all the curtains.
| ארך היריעה האחת שמנה ועשרים באמה ורחב ארבע באמה היריעה האחת מדה אחת לכל היריעת׃ |
10 And he joined the [first] five curtains, one to another, —and the [other] five curtains, joined he one to another,
| ויחבר את חמש היריעת אחת אל אחת וחמש יריעת חבר אחת אל אחת׃ |
11 And he made loops of blue upon the border of the first curtain, at the edge of the set, —thus, made he in the border of the other curtain at the edge of the second set:
| ויעש ללאת תכלת על שפת היריעה האחת מקצה במחברת כן עשה בשפת היריעה הקיצונה במחברת השנית׃ |
12 Fifty loops, made he in the first curtain, and fifty loops, made he in the edge of the curtain that was in the second set, —the loops being, opposite, one to another.
| חמשים ללאת עשה ביריעה האחת וחמשים ללאת עשה בקצה היריעה אשר במחברת השנית מקבילת הללאת אחת אל אחת׃ |
13 And he made fifty clasps of gold, —and joined the curtains one to another with the clasps, and so the habitation became, one.
| ויעש חמשים קרסי זהב ויחבר את הירעת אחת אל אחת בקרסים ויהי המשכן אחד׃ |
14 And he made curtains of goat’s-hair, for the tent over the habitation, eleven curtains, did he make them:
| ויעש יריעת עזים לאהל על המשכן עשתי עשרה יריעת עשה אתם׃ |
15 the length of each curtain, was thirty cubits, and, four cubits, was the breath of each curtain, —one measure, had the eleven curtains.
| ארך היריעה האחת שלשים באמה וארבע אמות רחב היריעה האחת מדה אחת לעשתי עשרה יריעת׃ |
16 And he joined five of the curtains by themselves, —and the six curtains, by themselves.
| ויחבר את חמש היריעת לבד ואת שש היריעת לבד׃ |
17 And he made fifty loops upon the border of the curtain that was outmost in the one set and fifty loops, made he upon the border of the curtain of the second set.
| ויעש ללאת חמשים על שפת היריעה הקיצנה במחברת וחמשים ללאת עשה על שפת היריעה החברת השנית׃ |
18 And he made fifty clasps of bronze, —to join together the tent, that it might become one.
| ויעש קרסי נחשת חמשים לחבר את האהל להית אחד׃ |
19 And he made a covering to the tent, of rams’ skins dyed red, —and a covering of badgers’ skins, above.
| ויעש מכסה לאהל ערת אלים מאדמים ומכסה ערת תחשים מלמעלה׃ |
20 And he made the boards for the habitation, of acacia wood, for standing up:
| ויעש את הקרשים למשכן עצי שטים עמדים׃ |
21 ten cubits, the length of each board, and a cubit and a half the breadth of each board:
| עשר אמת ארך הקרש ואמה וחצי האמה רחב הקרש האחד׃ |
22 two tenons to each board, united one to another, —thus, made he for all the boards of the habitation.
| שתי ידת לקרש האחד משלבת אחת אל אחת כן עשה לכל קרשי המשכן׃ |
23 And he made the boards for the habitation, twenty boards, for the south side southwards;
| ויעש את הקרשים למשכן עשרים קרשים לפאת נגב תימנה׃ |
24 and, forty sockets of silver, made he, under the twenty boards, two sockets, under the first board, for its two tenons, and, two sockets, under the next board for its two tenons.
| וארבעים אדני כסף עשה תחת עשרים הקרשים שני אדנים תחת הקרש האחד לשתי ידתיו ושני אדנים תחת הקרש האחד לשתי ידתיו׃ |
25 And for the second side of the habitation to the north quarter, made he twenty boards;
| ולצלע המשכן השנית לפאת צפון עשה עשרים קרשים׃ |
26 and their forty sockets of silver, two sockets, under the first board, and, two sockets, under the next board.
| וארבעים אדניהם כסף שני אדנים תחת הקרש האחד ושני אדנים תחת הקרש האחד׃ |
27 And, for the hinder part of the habitation westward, made he six boards;
| ולירכתי המשכן ימה עשה ששה קרשים׃ |
28 and two boards, made he for the corners of the habitation, —in the hinderpart.
| ושני קרשים עשה למקצעת המשכן בירכתים׃ |
29 Thus were they to be double beneath, and at the same time, should they be entire, at the top thereof, into each ring, thus, did he for them both, for the two corners.
| והיו תואמם מלמטה ויחדו יהיו תמים אל ראשו אל הטבעת האחת כן עשה לשניהם לשני המקצעת׃ |
30 Thus were there to be eight boards, and, their sockets of silver, were sixteen sockets, two sockets apiece under each board.
| והיו שמנה קרשים ואדניהם כסף ששה עשר אדנים שני אדנים שני אדנים תחת הקרש האחד׃ |
31 And he made bars of acacia wood, —five, for the boards of the first side of the habitation,
| ויעש בריחי עצי שטים חמשה לקרשי צלע המשכן האחת׃ |
32 and five bars, for the boards of the other side of the habitation, and, five bars, for the boards of the habitation at the hinderpart westward.
| וחמשה בריחם לקרשי צלע המשכן השנית וחמשה בריחם לקרשי המשכן לירכתים ימה׃ |
33 And he made the middle bar, —to run along in the midst of the boards, from end to end.
| ויעש את הבריח התיכן לברח בתוך הקרשים מן הקצה אל הקצה׃ |
34 And the boards, overlaid he with gold and their rings, made he of gold, as receptacles for the bars, and he overlaid the bars with gold.
| ואת הקרשים צפה זהב ואת טבעתם עשה זהב בתים לבריחם ויצף את הבריחם זהב׃ |
35 And he made the veil, of blue and purple and crimson and fine-twined linen, —of the work of a skilful weaver, made he it, with cherubim.
| ויעש את הפרכת תכלת וארגמן ותולעת שני ושש משזר מעשה חשב עשה אתה כרבים׃ |
36 And he made for it four pillars of acacia, and overlaid them with gold their hooks of gold, and cast for them, four sockets of silver.
| ויעש לה ארבעה עמודי שטים ויצפם זהב וויהם זהב ויצק להם ארבעה אדני כסף׃ |
37 And he made a screen for the opening of the tent, of blue and purple and crimson and fine twined linen, the work of an embroiderer;
| ויעש מסך לפתח האהל תכלת וארגמן ותולעת שני ושש משזר מעשה רקם׃ |
38 and the five pillars thereof and their hooks, and he overlaid their capitals and their cross-rods, with gold, but, their five sockets, were of bronze.
| ואת עמודיו חמשה ואת וויהם וצפה ראשיהם וחשקיהם זהב ואדניהם חמשה נחשת׃ |
