< Exodus 35 >

1 And Moses called together all the assembly of the sons of Israel and said unto them, —These are the things which Yahweh hath commanded to do them.
Moses summoned all the Israelites and told them, “This is what the Lord has ordered you to do:
2 Six days, shall work be done, but on the seventh day, shall there be to you a holy sabbath-keeping, unto Yahweh, whosoever doeth work therein shall be put to death.
Six days you can work, but the seventh day is to be a holy Sabbath of rest to the Lord. Anyone who does any work on the Sabbath day must be killed.
3 Ye shall not kindle a fire, in any of your dwellings, —on the sabbath day.
Don't even light a fire in any of your homes on the Sabbath day.”
4 And Moses spake unto all the assembly of the sons of Israel, saying, This, is the thing which Yahweh hath commanded, saying,
Moses also told all the Israelites, “This is what the Lord has commanded:
5 Take ye from among you, a heave-offering to Yahweh, every one whose heart is willing shall bring it in, even the heave-offering of Yahweh, gold and silver and bronze:
Collect an offering to the Lord from what you have. Everyone who wants to should bring an offering to the Lord: gold, silver, and bronze;
6 and blue and purple and crimson and fine linen and goat’s-hair;
blue, purple, and crimson thread; finely-woven linen and goat hair;
7 and rams’ skins dyed red, and badgers’ skins, and acacia wood;
tanned ram skins and fine leather; acacia wood;
8 and oil for giving light, and aromatic spices for the anointing oil, and for fragrant incense;
olive oil for the lamps; spices for the anointing oil and for the aromatic incense;
9 and onyx stones and setting stones, for the ephod, and for the breastpiece.
and onyx stones and gemstones for making the ephod and breastpiece.
10 And, all the wise-hearted among you, shall come in, that they may make, all that which Yahweh hath commanded: —
All your skilled craftsmen are to come and make everything the Lord has commanded:
11 the habitation, its tent, and its covering, —its clasps its boards, and its bars its pillars, and its sockets:
the Tabernacle with its tent and covering, its clips and frames, its crossbars, posts, and stands;
12 the ark with its staves the propitiatory, and the screening veil;
the Ark with its poles and atonement cover, and the veil to hang over it;
13 the table with its staves and all its utensils, and the Presence-bread:
the table with its poles, all its equipment, and the Bread of the Presence;
14 the lampstand for giving light, with its utensils, and its lamps, and the oil for giving light;
the lampstand of light with its equipment and lamps and olive oil to provide lighting;
15 and the incense altar, with its staves, and the anointing oil, and the fragrant incense, —and the entrance screen, for the entrance of the habitation;
the altar of incense with its poles; the anointing oil and aromatic incense; the screen for the Tabernacle entrance and all its accessories;
16 the altar for the ascending-sacrifice, and the bronze grating which pertaineth thereto, its staves and all its utensils, the laver and its stand;
the altar of burnt offering with its bronze grate, its poles and all its utensils; the basin plus its stand;
17 the hangings for the court, its pillars and its sockets, —and the screen for the gate of the court:
the curtains of the courtyard with its posts and bases, and the curtain for the courtyard entrance;
18 the pins of the habitation, and the pins of the court, and their cords;
the tent pegs for the Tabernacle and for the courtyard, as well as their ropes;
19 the cloths of variegated stuff for ministering in the sanctuary, —the sacred garments for Aaron the priest, and the garments of his sons for ministering as priests.
and the woven clothes for serving in the holy place: the sacred clothing for Aaron the priest and for his sons to serve as priests.”
20 So all the assembly of the sons of Israel went forth from the presence of Moses;
The Israelites left Moses,
21 and they brought in—every man whose heart lifted him up, —and, every one whose spirit made him willing, brought in the heave-offering of Yahweh, for the construction of the tent of meeting, and for all its service, and for the holy garments.
and all those who felt moved to do so and who had a willing spirit came and brought an offering to the Lord for the work making the Tent of Meeting, for everything required for its services, and for the sacred clothing.
22 Yea they brought in—the men with the women, —all who were willing-hearted, brought in—bracelets and nose-ornaments and rings, and buckles, all manner of jewels of gold, even every man who waved a wave-offering of gold unto Yahweh.
So everyone who was willing, both men and women, came and presented their gold as a thanks offering to the Lord, including brooches, earrings, rings, and necklaces—all kinds of gold jewelry.
23 And, every man with whom was found blue and purple and crimson and fine linen and goat’s-hair, —and rams’ skins dyed red and badgers’ skins brought them in.
Everyone who had blue, purple, and crimson thread, finely-woven linen, goat hair, tanned ram skins, and fine leather, contributed them.
24 Every one who would heave a heave-offering of silver or bronze, brought in the heave-offering of Yahweh, —and, every one with whom was found acacia wood for any construction for the service, brought it in.
Those who could present an offering of silver or bronze brought it as a gift to the Lord. Everyone who had acacia wood for any part of the work donated it.
25 And, all the women who were wise-hearted, with their hands, did spin, —and brought in that which they had spun—the blue, and the purple, the crimson, and the fine linen.
Every woman skilled in spinning with her hands brought what she had spun: blue, purple, or crimson thread, or finely-woven linen.
26 And, all the women whose hearts lifted them up with wisdom, span the goat’s-hair.
All the women who were willing to use their skills spun the goat hair.
27 And the princes, brought in the onyx stones and the setting stones, —for the ephod and for the breastpiece;
The leaders brought onyx stones and gemstones to make the ephod and breastpiece,
28 and the aromatic spices, and the oil, —for giving light, and for anointing oil, and for the fragrant incense.
as well as spices and olive oil for lighting, for the anointing oil, and for the aromatic incense.
29 [In the case of], every male and woman whose heart, made them willing, to bring in for any construction which, Yahweh had commanded them to make, by the hand of Moses, [in their case] did the sons of Israel bring in a free-will offering unto Yahweh.
All the Israelite men and women who were willing brought a freewill offering to the Lord for all the work in making what the Lord through Moses had ordered them to do.
30 And Moses said unto the sons of Israel—See! Yahweh hath called by name, —Bezaleel son of Uri, son of Hur, of the tribe of Judah;
Then Moses told the Israelites, “The Lord chosen by name Bezalel, son of Uri, son of Hur, from the tribe of Judah.
31 and filled him with the spirit of God, —in, wisdom in understanding and in knowledge, and in all manner of execution;
He has filled him with the Spirit of God giving him ability, creativity, and expertise in all kinds of craftsmanship.
32 to devise skilful designs, —to work in gold and in silver and in bronze;
He can produce designs in gold, silver, and bronze,
33 and in the cutting of stones for setting, and in the cutting of wood, —to work in any manner of skilful workmanship,
he can cut gemstones to place in settings, and he can carve wood. He is a master of every craft.
34 To teach also, hath he put in his heart, [the heart of] him, and of Oholiab—son of Ahisamach, of the tribe of Dan;
The Lord has also given him and Oholiab son of Ahisamach, from the tribe of Dan, the ability to teach others.
35 hath filled them with wisdom of heart to work all manner of workmanship of cutter, and deviser and embroiderer, in blue and in purple, in crimson and in fine linen and of the weaver, —workers of any manner of workmanship, and devisers of skilful designs.
He has equipped them with skill to do all kinds of work as engravers, designers, embroiderers in blue, purple, and crimson thread, and finely-woven linen, and as weavers—in fact as skilled designers in all kinds of different crafts.
