Exodus 34
1 And Yahweh said unto Moses—Hew thee two tables of stone, like the first, —and I will write upon the tables the words which were upon the first tables which thou didst break in pieces;
Então disse o Senhor a Moisés: Lavra-te duas tábuas de pedra, como as primeiras; e eu escreverei nas tábuas as mesmas palavras que estavam nas primeiras tábuas, que tu quebraste.
2 and be thou ready by the morning, —and thou shalt come up. in the morning, into Mount Sinai; then shalt thou station thyself for me there upon the top of the mount;
E aparelha-te para amanhã, para que subas pela manhã ao monte de Sinai, e ali põe-te diante de mim no cume do monte.
3 and, no man, may come up with thee, and let no man so much as be seen in all the mount, —and let not even the flocks or the herds, feed in front of that mountain.
E ninguém suba contigo, e também ninguém apareça em todo o monte; nem ovelhas nem bois se apascentem defronte do monte.
4 So he hewed two tables of stone like the first and Moses rose up early in the morning, and went up into Mount Sinai, as Yahweh had commanded him, —and took in his hand two tables of stone.
Então ele lavrou duas tábuas de pedra, como as primeiras; e levantou-se Moisés pela manhã de madrugada, e subiu ao monte de Sinai, como o Senhor lhe tinha ordenado: e tomou as duas tábuas de pedra na sua mão.
5 And Yahweh descended in the cloud, and took his station with him there, —and proclaimed himself by the name Yahweh.
E o Senhor desceu numa nuvem, e se pôs ali junto a ele: e ele apregoou o nome do Senhor.
6 So Yahweh passed before him, and proclaimed, —Yahweh, Yahweh, A God of compassion and favour, —Slow to anger and abundant in lovingkindness and faithfulness:
Passando pois o Senhor perante a sua face, clamou: Jehovah o Senhor, Deus misericordioso e piedoso, tardio em iras e grande em beneficência e verdade;
7 Keeping lovingkindness to a thousand generations, Forgiving iniquity and transgression and sin, Though he leave not, utterly unpunished, Visiting the iniquity of fathers, Upon sons, And upon sons’ sons, Unto a third and unto a fourth generation.
Que guarda a beneficência em milhares; que perdoa a iniquidade, e a transgressão, e o pecado; que o culpado não tem por inocente; que visita a iniquidade dos pais sobre os filhos e sobre os filhos dos filhos até à terceira e quarta geração.
8 Then Moses made haste, —and bent his head towards the earth and bowed himself down;
E Moisés apressou-se, e inclinou a cabeça à terra, encurvou-se,
9 and said—If, I pray thee, I have found favour in thine eyes, O My Lord, I pray thee let My Lord go on in our midst, —although a stiff-necked people, it is, so wilt thou pardon our iniquity and our sin and take us as thine own.
E disse: Senhor, se agora tenho achado graça aos teus olhos, vá agora o Senhor no meio de nós: porque este é povo obstinado; porém perdoa a nossa iniquidade e o nosso pecado, e toma-nos pela tua herança.
10 And he said—Lo! I, am about to solemnise a covenant, -in presence of all thy people, will I do marvellous things, which have not been created in any part of the earth nor among any of the nations, —so shall all the people in whose midst thou, art see the work of Yahweh for a fearful thing, it is, which I, am doing with thee.
Então disse: Eis que eu faço um concerto; farei diante de todo o teu povo maravilhas que nunca foram feitas em toda a terra, nem entre gente alguma: de maneira que todo este povo, em cujo meio tu estás, veja a obra do Senhor; porque coisa terrível é o que faço contigo.
11 Take thou heed what, I, am commanding thee this day, —behold me! driving out from before thee—the Amorite, and the Canaanite, and the Hittite, and the Perizzite, and the Hivite, and the Jebusite.
Guarda o que eu te ordeno hoje: eis que eu lançarei fora diante de ti os amorreus, e os cananeus, e os heteus, e os pereseus, e os heveus e os jebuseus.
12 Take heed to thyself, Lest thou solemnise a covenant with the inhabitant of the land, whereupon, thou, art about to enter, —Lest he become a snare in thy midst;
Guarda-te que não faças concerto com os moradores da terra aonde as de entrar; para que não seja por laço no meio de ti.
13 For their altars, shall ye smash, And their pillars, shall ye shiver, —And their sacred-stems, shall ye fell.
Mas os seus altares transtornareis, e as suas estátuas quebrareis, e os seus bosques cortareis.
14 For thou shalt not bow thyself down to another GOD, —For as for Yahweh, Jealous, is his name, A jealous GOD, he is:
Porque te não inclinarás diante de outro deus: pois o nome do Senhor é Zeloso: Deus zeloso é ele:
15 Lest thou solemnise a covenant with the inhabitant of the land, —And then as surely as they go unchastely after their gods and sacrifice to their gods, So surely will he invite thee, And thou wilt eat of his sacrifice;
Para que não faças concerto com os moradores da terra, e não forniquem após os seus deuses, nem sacrifiquem aos seus deuses, e tu, convidado deles, comas dos seus sacrifícios,
16 And thou wilt take of his daughters for thy sons, —And his daughters will go unchastely after their gods, And will cause thy sons to go unchastely after their gods.
E tomes mulheres das suas filhas para os teus filhos, e suas filhas, fornicando após os seus deuses, façam que também teus filhos forniquem após os seus deuses.
17 Molten gods, shalt thou not make to thee.
Não te farás deuses de fundição.
18 The festival of unleavened cakes, shalt thou keep, seven days, shalt thou eat unleavened cakes, which I commanded thee, at the set time, in the month Abib, —for in the month Abib, camest thou forth out of Egypt.
A festa dos pães asmos guardarás; sete dias comerás pães asmos, como te tenho ordenado, ao tempo apontado do mês de Abib: porque no mês de Abib sais-te do Egito.
19 Every one that is the first to be born, is mine, —and every one of thy cattle that is born a male, firstling of oxen or sheep.
Tudo o que abre a madre meu é, até todo o teu gado, que seja macho, abrindo a madre de vacas e de ovelhas;
20 But the firstling of an ass, thou mayst redeem with a lamb, and if thou wilt not redeem it, then shalt thou break its neck. Every firstborn of thy sons, shalt thou redeem, and he must not see my face, with empty hand.
O burro porém, que abrir a madre, resgatarás com cordeiro: mas, se o não resgatares, cortar-lhe-ás a cabeça: todo o primogênito de teus filhos resgatarás. E ninguém aparecerá vazio diante de mim.
21 Six days, shalt thou labour, but on the seventh day, shalt thou rest, —in plowing time and in harvest, shalt thou rest.
Seis dias obrarás, mas ao sétimo dia descançarás: na aradura e na sega descançarás.
22 And the festival of weeks, shalt thou make to thee, the firstfruits of the wheat harvest, —and the festival of ingathering, at the closing in of the year:
Também guardarás a festa das semanas, que é a festa das primícias da sega do trigo, e a festa da colheita à volta do ano.
23 three times in the year, shall every one of thy males see the face of the Lord Yahweh the God of Israel.
Três vezes no ano todo o macho entre ti aparecerá perante o Senhor, Jehovah, Deus de Israel;
24 For I will root out nations from before thee, and will enlarge thy borders, —and no man shall covet thy land, when thou goes up to see the face of Yahweh thy God, three times in the year.
Porque eu lançarei fora as nações de diante de ti, e alargarei o teu termo: ninguém cobiçará a tua terra, quando subires para aparecer três vezes no ano diante do Senhor teu Deus.
25 Thou shalt not slay, along with anything leavened, the blood of my sacrifice, —neither shall remain to the morning, the sacrifice of the festival of the passover.
Não sacrificarás o sangue do meu sacrifício com pão levedado, nem o sacrifício da festa da pascoa ficará da noite para a manhã.
26 The beginning of the firstfruits of thy ground, shalt thou bring into the house of Yahweh, thy God, Thou shalt not boil a kid, in the milk of its dam.
As primícias dos primeiros frutos da tua terra trarás à casa do Senhor teu Deus: não cozerás o cabrito no leite de sua mãe
27 And Yahweh said unto Moses, Write for thyself these words, for according to the tenor of these words, have I solemnized with thee, a covenant, and with Israel.
Disse mais o Senhor a Moisés: Escreve-te estas palavras: porque conforme ao teor destas palavras tenho feito concerto contigo e com Israel.
28 So then he was there, with Yahweh, forty days and forty nights, bread, did he not eat and, water, did he not drink, and he wrote upon the tables, the words of the covenant, the ten words.
E esteve ali com o Senhor quarenta dias e quarenta noites: não comeu pão, nem bebeu água, e escreveu nas tábuas as palavras do concerto, os dez mandamentos.
29 And it came to pass, when Moses came down out of Mount Sinai, with the two tables of testimony in the hand of Moses, when he came down out of the mount, that, Moses, knew not that the skin of his face shone, through his having spoken with him.
E aconteceu que, descendo Moisés do monte Sinai (e Moisés trazia as duas tábuas do testemunho em sua mão, quando desceu do monte), Moisés não sabia que a pele do seu rosto resplandecia, depois que falara com ele
30 And Aaron and all the sons of Israel saw Moses, and lo! the skin of his face shone, and they stood in awe of drawing nigh unto him.
Olhando pois Aarão e todos os filhos de Israel para Moisés, eis que a pele do seu rosto resplandecia; pelo que temeram de chegar-se a ele.
31 So then Moses called unto them, and Aaron and all the princes in the assembly returned unto him, —and Moses spake unto them.
Então Moisés os chamou, e Aarão e todos os príncipes da congregação tornaram-se a ele: e Moisés lhes falou.
32 And afterwards, came nigh, all the sons of Israel, and he gave them in commandment all that Yahweh had spoken with him in Mount Sinai.
Depois chegaram também todos os filhos de Israel: e ele lhes ordenou tudo o que o Senhor falara com ele no monte Sinai.
33 And when Moses had made an end of speaking with them, he put over his face a veil:
Assim acabou Moisés de falar com eles, e tinha posto um véu sobre o seu rosto.
34 but, as often as Moses went in before Yahweh to speak with him, he put aside the veil until he came out, —and, as often as he came out and spake unto the sons of Israel, that which he had been commanded,
Porém, entrando Moisés perante o Senhor, para falar com ele, tirava o véu até que saía: e, saído, falava com os filhos de Israel o que lhe era ordenado.
35 the sons of Israel saw the face of Moses, that the skin of Moses face shone, —so Moses again put the veil over his face, until he went in to speak with him.
Assim pois viam os filhos de Israel o rosto de Moisés, que resplandecia a pele do rosto de Moisés: e tornou Moisés a pôr o véu sobre o seu rosto, até que entrava para falar com ele.
