Exodus 34
1 And Yahweh said unto Moses—Hew thee two tables of stone, like the first, —and I will write upon the tables the words which were upon the first tables which thou didst break in pieces;
१फिर यहोवा ने मूसा से कहा, “पहली तख्तियों के समान पत्थर की दो और तख्तियाँ गढ़ ले; तब जो वचन उन पहली तख्तियों पर लिखे थे, जिन्हें तूने तोड़ डाला, वे ही वचन मैं उन तख्तियों पर भी लिखूँगा।
2 and be thou ready by the morning, —and thou shalt come up. in the morning, into Mount Sinai; then shalt thou station thyself for me there upon the top of the mount;
२और सवेरे तैयार रहना, और भोर को सीनै पर्वत पर चढ़कर उसकी चोटी पर मेरे सामने खड़ा होना।
3 and, no man, may come up with thee, and let no man so much as be seen in all the mount, —and let not even the flocks or the herds, feed in front of that mountain.
३तेरे संग कोई न चढ़ पाए, वरन् पर्वत भर पर कोई मनुष्य कहीं दिखाई न दे; और न भेड़-बकरी और गाय-बैल भी पर्वत के आगे चरने पाएँ।”
4 So he hewed two tables of stone like the first and Moses rose up early in the morning, and went up into Mount Sinai, as Yahweh had commanded him, —and took in his hand two tables of stone.
४तब मूसा ने पहली तख्तियों के समान दो और तख्तियाँ गढ़ीं; और भोर को सवेरे उठकर अपने हाथ में पत्थर की वे दोनों तख्तियाँ लेकर यहोवा की आज्ञा के अनुसार पर्वत पर चढ़ गया।
5 And Yahweh descended in the cloud, and took his station with him there, —and proclaimed himself by the name Yahweh.
५तब यहोवा ने बादल में उतरकर उसके संग वहाँ खड़ा होकर यहोवा नाम का प्रचार किया।
6 So Yahweh passed before him, and proclaimed, —Yahweh, Yahweh, A God of compassion and favour, —Slow to anger and abundant in lovingkindness and faithfulness:
६और यहोवा उसके सामने होकर यह प्रचार करता हुआ चला, “यहोवा, यहोवा, परमेश्वर दयालु और अनुग्रहकारी, कोप करने में धीरजवन्त, और अति करुणामय और सत्य,
7 Keeping lovingkindness to a thousand generations, Forgiving iniquity and transgression and sin, Though he leave not, utterly unpunished, Visiting the iniquity of fathers, Upon sons, And upon sons’ sons, Unto a third and unto a fourth generation.
७हजारों पीढ़ियों तक निरन्तर करुणा करनेवाला, अधर्म और अपराध और पाप को क्षमा करनेवाला है, परन्तु दोषी को वह किसी प्रकार निर्दोष न ठहराएगा, वह पितरों के अधर्म का दण्ड उनके बेटों वरन् पोतों और परपोतों को भी देनेवाला है।”
8 Then Moses made haste, —and bent his head towards the earth and bowed himself down;
८तब मूसा ने फुर्ती कर पृथ्वी की ओर झुककर दण्डवत् किया।
9 and said—If, I pray thee, I have found favour in thine eyes, O My Lord, I pray thee let My Lord go on in our midst, —although a stiff-necked people, it is, so wilt thou pardon our iniquity and our sin and take us as thine own.
९और उसने कहा, “हे प्रभु, यदि तेरे अनुग्रह की दृष्टि मुझ पर हो तो प्रभु, हम लोगों के बीच में होकर चले, ये लोग हठीले तो हैं, तो भी हमारे अधर्म और पाप को क्षमा कर, और हमें अपना निज भाग मानकर ग्रहण कर।”
10 And he said—Lo! I, am about to solemnise a covenant, -in presence of all thy people, will I do marvellous things, which have not been created in any part of the earth nor among any of the nations, —so shall all the people in whose midst thou, art see the work of Yahweh for a fearful thing, it is, which I, am doing with thee.
१०उसने कहा, “सुन, मैं एक वाचा बाँधता हूँ। तेरे सब लोगों के सामने मैं ऐसे आश्चर्यकर्म करूँगा जैसा पृथ्वी पर और सब जातियों में कभी नहीं हुए; और वे सारे लोग जिनके बीच तू रहता है यहोवा के कार्य को देखेंगे; क्योंकि जो मैं तुम लोगों से करने पर हूँ वह भययोग्य काम है।
11 Take thou heed what, I, am commanding thee this day, —behold me! driving out from before thee—the Amorite, and the Canaanite, and the Hittite, and the Perizzite, and the Hivite, and the Jebusite.
११जो आज्ञा मैं आज तुम्हें देता हूँ उसे तुम लोग मानना। देखो, मैं तुम्हारे आगे से एमोरी, कनानी, हित्ती, परिज्जी, हिब्बी, और यबूसी लोगों को निकालता हूँ।
12 Take heed to thyself, Lest thou solemnise a covenant with the inhabitant of the land, whereupon, thou, art about to enter, —Lest he become a snare in thy midst;
१२इसलिए सावधान रहना कि जिस देश में तू जानेवाला है उसके निवासियों से वाचा न बाँधना; कहीं ऐसा न हो कि वह तेरे लिये फंदा ठहरे।
13 For their altars, shall ye smash, And their pillars, shall ye shiver, —And their sacred-stems, shall ye fell.
१३वरन् उनकी वेदियों को गिरा देना, उनकी लाठों को तोड़ डालना, और उनकी अशेरा नामक मूर्तियों को काट डालना;
14 For thou shalt not bow thyself down to another GOD, —For as for Yahweh, Jealous, is his name, A jealous GOD, he is:
१४क्योंकि तुम्हें किसी दूसरे को परमेश्वर करके दण्डवत् करने की आज्ञा नहीं, क्योंकि यहोवा जिसका नाम जलनशील है, वह जल उठनेवाला परमेश्वर है,
15 Lest thou solemnise a covenant with the inhabitant of the land, —And then as surely as they go unchastely after their gods and sacrifice to their gods, So surely will he invite thee, And thou wilt eat of his sacrifice;
१५ऐसा न हो कि तू उस देश के निवासियों से वाचा बाँधे, और वे अपने देवताओं के पीछे होने का व्यभिचार करें, और उनके लिये बलिदान भी करें, और कोई तुझे नेवता दे और तू भी उसके बलिपशु का प्रसाद खाए,
16 And thou wilt take of his daughters for thy sons, —And his daughters will go unchastely after their gods, And will cause thy sons to go unchastely after their gods.
१६और तू उनकी बेटियों को अपने बेटों के लिये लाए, और उनकी बेटियाँ जो आप अपने देवताओं के पीछे होने का व्यभिचार करती हैं तेरे बेटों से भी अपने देवताओं के पीछे होने को व्यभिचार करवाएँ।
17 Molten gods, shalt thou not make to thee.
१७“तुम देवताओं की मूर्तियाँ ढालकर न बना लेना।
18 The festival of unleavened cakes, shalt thou keep, seven days, shalt thou eat unleavened cakes, which I commanded thee, at the set time, in the month Abib, —for in the month Abib, camest thou forth out of Egypt.
१८“अख़मीरी रोटी का पर्व मानना। उसमें मेरी आज्ञा के अनुसार अबीब महीने के नियत समय पर सात दिन तक अख़मीरी रोटी खाया करना; क्योंकि तू मिस्र से अबीब महीने में निकल आया।
19 Every one that is the first to be born, is mine, —and every one of thy cattle that is born a male, firstling of oxen or sheep.
१९हर एक पहलौठा मेरा है; और क्या बछड़ा, क्या मेम्ना, तेरे पशुओं में से जो नर पहलौठे हों वे सब मेरे ही हैं।
20 But the firstling of an ass, thou mayst redeem with a lamb, and if thou wilt not redeem it, then shalt thou break its neck. Every firstborn of thy sons, shalt thou redeem, and he must not see my face, with empty hand.
२०और गदही के पहलौठे के बदले मेम्ना देकर उसको छुड़ाना, यदि तू उसे छुड़ाना न चाहे तो उसकी गर्दन तोड़ देना। परन्तु अपने सब पहलौठे बेटों को बदला देकर छुड़ाना। मुझे कोई खाली हाथ अपना मुँह न दिखाए।
21 Six days, shalt thou labour, but on the seventh day, shalt thou rest, —in plowing time and in harvest, shalt thou rest.
२१“छः दिन तो परिश्रम करना, परन्तु सातवें दिन विश्राम करना; वरन् हल जोतने और लवने के समय में भी विश्राम करना।
22 And the festival of weeks, shalt thou make to thee, the firstfruits of the wheat harvest, —and the festival of ingathering, at the closing in of the year:
२२और तू सप्ताहों का पर्व मानना जो पहले लवे हुए गेहूँ का पर्व कहलाता है, और वर्ष के अन्त में बटोरन का भी पर्व मानना।
23 three times in the year, shall every one of thy males see the face of the Lord Yahweh the God of Israel.
२३वर्ष में तीन बार तेरे सब पुरुष इस्राएल के परमेश्वर प्रभु यहोवा को अपने मुँह दिखाएँ।
24 For I will root out nations from before thee, and will enlarge thy borders, —and no man shall covet thy land, when thou goes up to see the face of Yahweh thy God, three times in the year.
२४मैं तो अन्यजातियों को तेरे आगे से निकालकर तेरी सीमाओं को बढ़ाऊँगा; और जब तू अपने परमेश्वर यहोवा को अपना मुँह दिखाने के लिये वर्ष में तीन बार आया करे, तब कोई तेरी भूमि का लालच न करेगा।
25 Thou shalt not slay, along with anything leavened, the blood of my sacrifice, —neither shall remain to the morning, the sacrifice of the festival of the passover.
२५“मेरे बलिदान के लहू को ख़मीर सहित न चढ़ाना, और न फसह के पर्व के बलिदान में से कुछ सवेरे तक रहने देना।
26 The beginning of the firstfruits of thy ground, shalt thou bring into the house of Yahweh, thy God, Thou shalt not boil a kid, in the milk of its dam.
२६अपनी भूमि की पहली उपज का पहला भाग अपने परमेश्वर यहोवा के भवन में ले आना। बकरी के बच्चे को उसकी माँ के दूध में न पकाना।”
27 And Yahweh said unto Moses, Write for thyself these words, for according to the tenor of these words, have I solemnized with thee, a covenant, and with Israel.
२७और यहोवा ने मूसा से कहा, “ये वचन लिख ले; क्योंकि इन्हीं वचनों के अनुसार मैं तेरे और इस्राएल के साथ वाचा बाँधता हूँ।”
28 So then he was there, with Yahweh, forty days and forty nights, bread, did he not eat and, water, did he not drink, and he wrote upon the tables, the words of the covenant, the ten words.
२८मूसा तो वहाँ यहोवा के संग चालीस दिन और रात रहा; और तब तक न तो उसने रोटी खाई और न पानी पिया। और उसने उन तख्तियों पर वाचा के वचन अर्थात् दस आज्ञाएँ लिख दीं।
29 And it came to pass, when Moses came down out of Mount Sinai, with the two tables of testimony in the hand of Moses, when he came down out of the mount, that, Moses, knew not that the skin of his face shone, through his having spoken with him.
२९जब मूसा साक्षी की दोनों तख्तियाँ हाथ में लिये हुए सीनै पर्वत से उतरा आता था तब यहोवा के साथ बातें करने के कारण उसके चेहरे से किरणें निकल रही थीं। परन्तु वह यह नहीं जानता था कि उसके चेहरे से किरणें निकल रही हैं।
30 And Aaron and all the sons of Israel saw Moses, and lo! the skin of his face shone, and they stood in awe of drawing nigh unto him.
३०जब हारून और सब इस्राएलियों ने मूसा को देखा कि उसके चेहरे से किरणें निकलती हैं, तब वे उसके पास जाने से डर गए।
31 So then Moses called unto them, and Aaron and all the princes in the assembly returned unto him, —and Moses spake unto them.
३१तब मूसा ने उनको बुलाया; और हारून मण्डली के सारे प्रधानों समेत उसके पास आया, और मूसा उनसे बातें करने लगा।
32 And afterwards, came nigh, all the sons of Israel, and he gave them in commandment all that Yahweh had spoken with him in Mount Sinai.
३२इसके बाद सब इस्राएली पास आए, और जितनी आज्ञाएँ यहोवा ने सीनै पर्वत पर उसके साथ बात करने के समय दी थीं, वे सब उसने उन्हें बताईं।
33 And when Moses had made an end of speaking with them, he put over his face a veil:
३३जब तक मूसा उनसे बात न कर चुका तब तक अपने मुँह पर ओढ़ना डाले रहा।
34 but, as often as Moses went in before Yahweh to speak with him, he put aside the veil until he came out, —and, as often as he came out and spake unto the sons of Israel, that which he had been commanded,
३४और जब जब मूसा भीतर यहोवा से बात करने को उसके सामने जाता तब-तब वह उस ओढ़नी को निकलते समय तक उतारे हुए रहता था; फिर बाहर आकर जो-जो आज्ञा उसे मिलती उन्हें इस्राएलियों से कह देता था।
35 the sons of Israel saw the face of Moses, that the skin of Moses face shone, —so Moses again put the veil over his face, until he went in to speak with him.
३५इस्राएली मूसा का चेहरा देखते थे कि उससे किरणें निकलती हैं; और जब तक वह यहोवा से बात करने को भीतर न जाता तब तक वह उस ओढ़नी को डाले रहता था।
