< Exodus 34 >
1 And Yahweh said unto Moses—Hew thee two tables of stone, like the first, —and I will write upon the tables the words which were upon the first tables which thou didst break in pieces;
Pakayin Mose henga thu aseijin, “Masang ngaiya bang'in songpheng'ni suiyin lang, hiche song pheng teni achu masang'a nangman nasekeh songpheng teni chung'a kijih thuchang chu keiman ka hin sut kit ding ahi.”
2 and be thou ready by the morning, —and thou shalt come up. in the morning, into Mount Sinai; then shalt thou station thyself for me there upon the top of the mount;
“Kigo'in lang jingkah teng'le Sinai molsang lam'a nahung kal touding, molsang vum'a kaheng'a nahung din ding ahi,” ati.
3 and, no man, may come up with thee, and let no man so much as be seen in all the mount, —and let not even the flocks or the herds, feed in front of that mountain.
“Koima dang na hin kilhon pithei lou ding, hiche molsang jousea khu koi macha dang kilah thei lou ding ahi. Kelngoi hon ahin gancha kitiphot khat jeng cha jong molsang lah a khu nalhat sah lou ding ahi.”
4 So he hewed two tables of stone like the first and Moses rose up early in the morning, and went up into Mount Sinai, as Yahweh had commanded him, —and took in his hand two tables of stone.
Mose'n jong masang'abang bang chun songpheng ni asuiyin, ajing jingkah matah'in athoudoh'in Pakai thupeh bang chun Sinai molsang chung vum'a ache tou tan, song pheng teni achoijin a kaltou tai.
5 And Yahweh descended in the cloud, and took his station with him there, —and proclaimed himself by the name Yahweh.
“Molvum lama kon'in Pakai chu mei bol in ahung tan chuin Mose toh'a ding khom lhonne. Chuin Pakai min chu sangtah in akouvin ahi.”
6 So Yahweh passed before him, and proclaimed, —Yahweh, Yahweh, A God of compassion and favour, —Slow to anger and abundant in lovingkindness and faithfulness:
“Pakai jong Mose masa lang lama chen, a sei peh in, Pakai, Pakai hepi them le lunghang vah lou iti channa mi lungset them le dihna dimset jeng tin asei in ahi.”
7 Keeping lovingkindness to a thousand generations, Forgiving iniquity and transgression and sin, Though he leave not, utterly unpunished, Visiting the iniquity of fathers, Upon sons, And upon sons’ sons, Unto a third and unto a fourth generation.
“Mihem asang asang chung'a lungset na nei jing, themmona le suhkhel na jouse jong ngaidam jia, amavang themmona alembaseh'a umsah lou mipa le chate kikah atute channa natong jing ding, chule khang thumle-li channa natong theiya ahi,” ati.
8 Then Moses made haste, —and bent his head towards the earth and bowed himself down;
“Mose jong tol lhamma akun'in chibai aboh paijin ahi.”
9 and said—If, I pray thee, I have found favour in thine eyes, O My Lord, I pray thee let My Lord go on in our midst, —although a stiff-necked people, it is, so wilt thou pardon our iniquity and our sin and take us as thine own.
“Mose'n aseijin, “O Pakai nangma mitmua lunglhaina kachanna ahile, nahenga kataove, Pakai hi kalah uvah hung um henlang, kathemmo nao le kachonset najouse ngaidamin, nagoulo thei din neisem taovin,” ati.
10 And he said—Lo! I, am about to solemnise a covenant, -in presence of all thy people, will I do marvellous things, which have not been created in any part of the earth nor among any of the nations, —so shall all the people in whose midst thou, art see the work of Yahweh for a fearful thing, it is, which I, am doing with thee.
“Chuin Pakaiyin aseijin, Tua hi keiman nangma toh ikah'a kitepna ka sem ding ahi. Namite lah a keiman thil nasatah tah ka kilah sah ding, hi tabang thil ki dang hohi leiset'a ana umkha lou lai ahin, chule nam dang telah jeng ajong anasoh khalou lai ahi. Na chenna chan uva mihem hon Pakai thil bol ki dang ahin mudoh diu, ajeh chu keiman ka hinbol ding thil hi thil ki dang tah ahi,” ati.
11 Take thou heed what, I, am commanding thee this day, —behold me! driving out from before thee—the Amorite, and the Canaanite, and the Hittite, and the Perizzite, and the Hivite, and the Jebusite.
“Tunin ka thupeh hi na suhmil lou ding ahi. Nei hin ven, kei matah in namasang lama Amor mite, Canaan mite, Hit mite, Periz mite, Hivi mite le Jebus mite abonchauva kajam sah gam diu ahi.”
12 Take heed to thyself, Lest thou solemnise a covenant with the inhabitant of the land, whereupon, thou, art about to enter, —Lest he become a snare in thy midst;
“Tun nangma ki cheh theiyin, na chenna gammite toh kitepna hinsem khan nate, achuti louva ahile hitabang kitepna chu kipal lhuh'na hung pang ding ahi,” ati.
13 For their altars, shall ye smash, And their pillars, shall ye shiver, —And their sacred-stems, shall ye fell.
“Hijeh chun nangman hiche gammite maicham jouse chu nasuh set gamhel ding, akhompi jouseo jong nasuh lhuh soh kei ding ahi, chule Asher doi jong chu na phuh lhuh ding ahi.”
14 For thou shalt not bow thyself down to another GOD, —For as for Yahweh, Jealous, is his name, A jealous GOD, he is:
“Ajeh chu nangma pathen dang angsung'a naboh khup'a natao theilou hel ding ahi. Ajeh chu amin jong Pakai chule Pathen chu hung thang tom jing thei ahi,” ati.
15 Lest thou solemnise a covenant with the inhabitant of the land, —And then as surely as they go unchastely after their gods and sacrifice to their gods, So surely will he invite thee, And thou wilt eat of his sacrifice;
“Hijeh chun agamsung chengte toh kitepna na sem thei lou ding, hiche mite chun a pathen'nu umchan atho diu amaho le amho kah a jonthan hoi in apat diu, hiche pathen semthu ho heng'a kilhaina asem teng ule nangma jong nahin tep diu ahin, hiche a na hinkou pen pen-sa ki lhaina chu naneh thei lou ding ahi,” ati.
16 And thou wilt take of his daughters for thy sons, —And his daughters will go unchastely after their gods, And will cause thy sons to go unchastely after their gods.
“Na chapate ji ding'a agam cheng numei napuipeh theilou ding, a channute jouse'u a pathen'u umchan atho uva a ki joh bang uva khu, na chapate jeng jong hung ki joh lo ding'u ahi.”
17 Molten gods, shalt thou not make to thee.
“Chule nangma macham'ma pathen limsem thu kiti mong mong nahou lou ding ahi.”
18 The festival of unleavened cakes, shalt thou keep, seven days, shalt thou eat unleavened cakes, which I commanded thee, at the set time, in the month Abib, —for in the month Abib, camest thou forth out of Egypt.
“Chol solou changlhah kut jong imatih channa na man jing ding ahi. Ka thupeh bang bang'a aphat ahung lhun teng, Abib lha sungse'a chu nangman cholsolou changlhah na neh ding ahi. Ajeh chu hiche lha sunga hi nangma Egypt gam sung'a kon'a na hung doh ahi,” ati.
19 Every one that is the first to be born, is mine, —and every one of thy cattle that is born a male, firstling of oxen or sheep.
“Chule ahung peng doh masa jouse chu keiya ding ahi. Achal'a kai lhah ki tiphot chu, gancha lah'a bong ahin, kelngoi hi jong le keija ding ahi.”
20 But the firstling of an ass, thou mayst redeem with a lamb, and if thou wilt not redeem it, then shalt thou break its neck. Every firstborn of thy sons, shalt thou redeem, and he must not see my face, with empty hand.
“Sangan hung peng doh masa jong chu nangman kelngoi khat'a nalhat doh ding, ita bang khatna na lhat doh jou louva ahile hiche sangan nou chu angong chang na he boh peh ding ahi. Na chapate lah'a ahung peng doh masa pen jong lhat dohna na sem peh tei ding, ajeh chu na lah uva koima ka heng lam'a khut goh keuva hung kilah thei lou ding ahi.”
21 Six days, shalt thou labour, but on the seventh day, shalt thou rest, —in plowing time and in harvest, shalt thou rest.
“Ni gup sung se'a nangman tohthei chan natoh ding, ni sagi lhinni teng le na kichol do ding ahi. Lou na toh lai hihen lholhun lai hijong le nangma nakichol teitei ding ahi,” ati.
22 And the festival of weeks, shalt thou make to thee, the firstfruits of the wheat harvest, —and the festival of ingathering, at the closing in of the year:
“Ni sagi lhin nia kut jong na bol jing ding na nit teitei ding ahi. Chule suhlou chang kut jong na bol jing ding, kum lhun teng le muchi ga soh khop tup kut jong na bol cheh cheh ding ahi.”
23 three times in the year, shall every one of thy males see the face of the Lord Yahweh the God of Israel.
“Kum khat sung'a namite lah'a pasal'a kai lhah jouse Israel Pakai, Pathen heng'a hung kilah cheh ding'u ahi.”
24 For I will root out nations from before thee, and will enlarge thy borders, —and no man shall covet thy land, when thou goes up to see the face of Yahweh thy God, three times in the year.
“Ajeh chu keiman nam tin vaipi jouse masang'a ka huh doh'a hitia chu na gamgi ka suh len ding ahi. Ajeh chu nangma kumkhat sung'a Pakai heng'a kilah ding na che teng le hiche gamma kon'na chu khat jeng chan jong na umlou kah'a na gam sung lah ding lung aken lou hel ding'u ahi.”
25 Thou shalt not slay, along with anything leavened, the blood of my sacrifice, —neither shall remain to the morning, the sacrifice of the festival of the passover.
“Ka heng'a ki lhaina sa kiti phot chol sosa toh na neh tha lou ding, kalchuh kut'a ding'a sa kithat chan jong jing khovah geiya na koi den theilou diu ahi.”
26 The beginning of the firstfruits of thy ground, shalt thou bring into the house of Yahweh, thy God, Thou shalt not boil a kid, in the milk of its dam.
“Na gamsung'a ga soh jouse jong na Pakai leh na Pathen heng'a nahin poh lut cheh cheh ding ahi. Chule kelngoi nou jeng jong api noitwija na hon min thei lou ding ahi.”
27 And Yahweh said unto Moses, Write for thyself these words, for according to the tenor of these words, have I solemnized with thee, a covenant, and with Israel.
“Pakaiyin Mose heng'a thu asei in, Ka thupeh chengse abonchan sun doh cheh cheh in, Ka thupeh chengse dung juiya hi Israel toh na kikah'a kitepna ka sem doh ding ahi,” ati.
28 So then he was there, with Yahweh, forty days and forty nights, bread, did he not eat and, water, did he not drink, and he wrote upon the tables, the words of the covenant, the ten words.
Hiche laimun na chun Pakai le Mose chu ni som le jan som li jen aum khom in ahi. Hiche phatsung'a ahin Mose'n twi jong donlou an jong ne louvin aum in ahi. Hichea kitepna jouse chu Mose'n jong song pheng teni chung achun ajih lut tan ahi.”
29 And it came to pass, when Moses came down out of Mount Sinai, with the two tables of testimony in the hand of Moses, when he came down out of the mount, that, Moses, knew not that the skin of his face shone, through his having spoken with him.
“Sinai molsang lam'a kon'in Mose jong ahung kum suh'in ahile hettoh sahna song pheng teni chu ahin choiyin ahi. Mose mai chu vahlha jeng'e ajeh chu Pathen toh aga kihou lim jeh ahin hinlah aman ahedoh pon ahi.”
30 And Aaron and all the sons of Israel saw Moses, and lo! the skin of his face shone, and they stood in awe of drawing nigh unto him.
“Chuin Aaron le Israel chate jousen amudoh taovin ahile, Mose chu amai avah lha jeng tan, chuin amaho abonchaovin akicha lheh jeng tauvin ave ngam ta pouvin nai jong ahin nai lut ngam tapouve.”
31 So then Moses called unto them, and Aaron and all the princes in the assembly returned unto him, —and Moses spake unto them.
Mose'n ahin kouvun, Chun in Aaron le khopi sung'a lamkai jouse Mose henglama ahung un, Mose'n jong ama ho chengse chu aki hou pin ahi.”
32 And afterwards, came nigh, all the sons of Israel, and he gave them in commandment all that Yahweh had spoken with him in Mount Sinai.
“Israel chate ho jousen jong ahin nailut cheh uvin, Sinai molsang chung vumma Pakaiyin Mose ahoupi na bang bang in Mose'n jong Israel mite Jouse chu a houlim pi'n thu jouse chu ajah uva a sei peh tan ahi.”
33 And when Moses had made an end of speaking with them, he put over his face a veil:
“Mose'n jong thupeh Jouse aheng uva asei chai soh phat in amai dal ding in pon khat aki lekhu sah tai.”
34 but, as often as Moses went in before Yahweh to speak with him, he put aside the veil until he came out, —and, as often as he came out and spake unto the sons of Israel, that which he had been commanded,
“Mose jong Pakai to kihoulim ding'a ache lut ji teng, ahung potdoh kit kahsen amai dalna ding'a ponkhu chu ahin ki lah doh kit ji tan ahi. Mose jong ahung poh doh'a Pakaiyin ipi ahin seipeh ahi dem ti Isreal mite heng'a a seipeh jin ahi.”
35 the sons of Israel saw the face of Moses, that the skin of Moses face shone, —so Moses again put the veil over his face, until he went in to speak with him.
Israel cha ten jong Mose maichu ave uvin ahile, avah lha jeng in ahi. Mose jong Pakai toh kimu to ding'a ache lut kit kah sen amai dalna pon chu akikhu jin ahi.
