Exodus 31
1 Then spake Yahweh unto Moses, saying:
Yahweh akasema na Musa,
2 See, I have called by name, Bezaleel, son of Uri, son of Hur of the tribe of Judah;
“Angalia, nimemwita kwa jina lake Bezaleli mwana wa Uri, mwana wa Huri, wa kabila ya Yuda
3 and have filled him with the Spirit of God, in wisdom and in understanding, and in knowledge and in all manner of workmanship;
Nami nimemjaza Bezaleli na roho ya Mungu, katika hekima, na maarifa, na ujuzi, na mambo ya kazi ya kila aina,
4 to devise skilful designs, to work in gold and in silver, and in bronze;
ili abuni kazi za ustadi, kuwa fundi wa dhahabu, na wa fedha, na wa shaba,
5 and in the cutting of stones for setting, and in the carving of wood, —to work in all manner of workmanship,
na kukata vito kwa kutiwa mahali, na kuchora miti, na kufanya kazi ya ustadi iwayo yote.
6 I myself, therefore, lo! I have given with him Oholiab, son of Ahisamach of the tribe of Dan, and in the heart of every one that is wise-hearted, have I put wisdom, —so shall they make all that I have commanded thee—
Tena, nimemchagua, awe pamoja naye Oholiabu, mwana wa Ahisamaki, wa kabila ya Dani. Nami nimetia hekima katika mioyo ya wote wenye moyo wa hekima, ili wapate kufanya vyote nilivyokuagiza. Hii ni,
7 the tent of meeting, and the ark of the testimony; and the propitiatory which is thereupon, and all the utensils of the tent;
hema ya kukutania na sanduku la ushuhuda, na kiti cha rehema kilicho juu yake, na vyombo vyote vya Hema;
8 and the table, and its utensils, and the pure lampstand, and all its utensils, —and the incense altar;
na meza, na vyombo vyake, na kinara cha taa safi pamoja na vyombo vyake vyote,
9 and the altar for the ascending-sacrifice, and all its utensils, and the laver, and its stand;
na madhabahu ya kufukizia uvumba; na madhabahu ya sadaka ya kuteketezwa na vyombo vyake vyote, na birika na tako lake.
10 and the cloths of variegated stuff, and the holy garments, for Aaron the priest, and the garments of his sons, for ministering as priests;
Pia mavazi yenye kufumwa kwa uzuri, na mavazi matakatifu ya Haruni kuhani, na mavazi ya wanawe, ili kutumika katika kazi ya ukuhani.
11 and the anointing oil and the fragrant incense for the holy place, according to all which I have commanded thee, shall they do.
Pia mafuta ya kutiwa, na uvumba wa manukato mazuri, kwa ajili ya mahali patakatifu; sawasawa na yote niliyokuagiza ndivyo watakavyofanya wao.
12 Then spake Yahweh unto Moses saying—
akasema na Musa,
13 Thou thyself, therefore, speak unto the sons of Israel, saying, Surely, my sabbaths, shall ye keep, for, a sign it is betwixt me and you to your generations, that ye may know that I Yahweh do hallow you.
“Waambie wana wa Israeli, 'Hakika mtazishika Sabato zangu, kwa kuwa ni ishara kati ya mimi na ninyi katika vizazi vyenu vyote; ili mpate kujua ya kuwa mimi ndimi BWANA niwatakasaye ninyi.
14 Therefore shall ye keep the sabbath, for holy, it is unto you, he that profaneth it shall be surely put to death; verily whosoever doeth therein any work that soul shall be cut off from the midst of its people:
Basi mtaishika hiyo Sabato; kwa kuwa ni takatifu kwenu; kila mtu atakayeitia unajisi hakika yake atauawa; kwa kuwa kila mtu afanyaye kazi katika siku hiyo, nafsi hiyo itakatiliwa mbali na watu wake.
15 Six days, shall work be done, but on the seventh day, is a holy sabbath-keeping of rest unto Yahweh, —whosoever doeth work on the sabbath day, shall be, surely put to death.
Kazi itafanywa siku sita; lakini siku ya saba ni Sabato ya kustarehe kabisa, takatifu kwa BWANA; kila mtu atakayefanya kazi yo yote katika siku ya Sabato, hakika yake atauawa.
16 Therefore shall the sons of Israel keep the sabbath, —by making it a Day of Rest to your generations, as an age-abiding covenant:
Kwa ajili ya hayo wana wa Israeli wataishika Sabato. Kuiangalia sana hiyo Sabato katika vizazi vyao vyote, ni agano la milele.
17 between me and the sons of Israel, a sign it is unto times age-abiding, —for in six days, did Yahweh make the heavens and the earth, and on the seventh day, he rested, and was refreshed.
Ni ishara kati ya mimi na wana wa Israeli milele; kwani kwa siku sita Yahweh alifanya mbingu na nchi, akastarehe kwa siku ya saba na kupumzika.
18 Then gave he unto Moses, as he finished speaking with him in Mount Sinai, the two tables of the testimony, —tables of stone, written with the finger of God,
Hapo Mungu alipokuwa amekwisha zungumza na Musa katika mlima wa Sinai, akampa hizo mbao mbili za ushuhuda, mbao mbili za mawe, zilizoandikwa kwa mkono wake.
