Exodus 30
1 And thou shalt make an altar, for burning incense, of acacia wood, shalt thou make it:
૧ધૂપ બાળવા માટે તારે બાવળના લાકડાની એક વેદી બનાવવી.
2 a cubit, the length thereof, and a cubit the breadth thereof four square, shall it be, —and two cubits, the height thereof, of the same, [shall be] the horns thereof,
૨આ વેદી એક હાથ લાંબી, એક હાથ પહોળી અને બે હાથ ઊંચી હોય. તેનાં લાકડામાંથી જ કોતરીને તેના શિંગ બનાવવાં. શિંગ જુદાં બનાવીને વેદી પર જોડવાં નહિ. તે શિંગ વેદી સાથે સળંગ હોય.
3 And thou shalt overlay it with pure gold the top thereof, and the sides thereof round about, and the horns thereof, -and thou shalt make to it a border of gold round about.
૩વેદીનો ઉપરનો ભાગ, બાજુઓ અને શિંગ શુદ્ધ સોનાથી મઢી લેવાં અને આખી વેદીની ચારે બાજુ સોનાની કિનારી બનાવવી.
4 And, two rings of gold, shalt thou make to it, under the border thereof upon the two corners thereof, shalt thou make them on the two sides thereof, —so shall they become receptacles for the staves, to lift it therewith.
૪એની બે સામસામી બાજુઓએ કિનારીની નીચે ઉપાડવાના દાંડા ભેરવવા માટે સોનાનાં બબ્બે કડાં મૂકવાં.
5 And thou shalt make the staves of acacia wood, —and overlay them with gold.
૫એ બે દાંડા બાવળના લાકડાના બનાવવા અને સોનાથી મઢાવવા.
6 And thou shalt place it before the veil, which is by the ark of the testimony, —before the propitiatory which is upon the testimony, where I will meet thee.
૬દશ આજ્ઞાઓ જેમાં મૂકી છે તે કરારકોશ આગળના પડદા સામે એ વેદી મૂકવી. ત્યાં હું તેઓને દર્શન આપીશ.
7 And Aaron shall burn thereon fragrant incense, —morning by morning, when he trimmeth the lamps, shall he burn it;
૭એ વેદી પર પ્રતિદિન સવારે બત્તી તૈયાર કરતી વખતે હારુને સુગંધી ધૂપ બાળવો.
8 and, when Aaron lighteth the lamps, between the evenings, shall he burn it, —a continual incense before Yahweh, to your generations.
૮અને રોજ સાંજે તે બત્તીઓ પ્રગટાવે ત્યારે યહોવાહની સંમુખ ધૂપ બાળવો. તારે પેઢી દર પેઢી કાયમ યહોવાહ સમક્ષ ધૂપ બાળવો.
9 Ye shall not cause to ascend thereupon strange incense, nor an ascending-sacrifice, nor a meal-offering, —and a drink offering, shall ye not pour out thereupon.
૯તારે એ વેદી પર અન્ય ધૂપ બાળવો નહિ કે દહનીયાર્પણ, ખાદ્યાર્પણ કે પેયાર્પણ ચઢાવવાં નહિ.
10 But Aaron shall put a propitiatory-covering upon the horns thereof, once in the year: of the blood of the sin-bearer for propitiatory-coverings, once in the year, shall he put a propitiatory-covering thereupon to your generations, most holy, it is to Yahweh.
૧૦વર્ષમાં એક વાર હારુને પ્રાયશ્ચિતને માટે પાપાર્થાર્પણનું રક્ત લઈને શિંગ ઉપર લગાડી વેદીને પવિત્ર કરવાની છે. પેઢી દર પેઢી નિયમિત રીતે આ વાર્ષિક વિધિનું પાલન કરવું, કારણ કે આ વેદી યહોવાહની પરમપવિત્ર વેદી છે.
11 Then spake Yahweh unto Moses, saying—
૧૧યહોવાહે મૂસાને કહ્યું,
12 When thou takest the sum of the sons of Israel, by their numberings, then shall they give every man a propitiatory-covering for his soul to Yahweh, when they are numbered, —that there may be among them no plague when they are numbered.
૧૨“તું જ્યારે ઇઝરાયલીઓની વસ્તીગણતરી કરે ત્યારે જે પુરુષોનું નામ નોંધાય તેણે જ પોતાના જીવનાં બદલામાં યહોવાહ સમક્ષ ખંડણી ભરવી, જેથી તું ગણતરી કરે ત્યારે લોકો પર કોઈ આફત ન આવે.
13 This, shall they give—every one that passeth over to them that have been numbered—a half-shekel by the shekel of the sanctuary, —the shekel is twenty gerahs—the half-shekel, shall be a heave-offering to Yahweh.
૧૩વસ્તીગણતરીમાં નોંધાયેલા બધા માણસોએ યહોવાહને અડધો શેકેલ (શેકેલનો માપ વીસ ગેરહ હોય છે) અર્પણ તરીકે આપવો.
14 All who pass over to the numbered, from twenty years old and upwards, shall give the heave-offering of Yahweh.
૧૪વસ્તીગણતરીમાં નોંધાયેલા વીસ વર્ષના કે તેથી વધુ ઉંમરના દરેક માણસે આ પ્રમાણે અર્પણ કરવું.
15 The rich, shall not give more, and the poor, shall not give less, than the half-shekel, —when they give the heave-offering of Yahweh, to put a propitiatory-covering over your souls.
૧૫મને તમારા જીવનના બદલામાં આ અર્પણ આપતી વખતે ધનવાને વધારે કે ગરીબે ઓછું આપવાનું નથી.
16 So then thou shalt take the silver for the propitiatory-coverings from the sons of Israel, and shalt expend it upon the service of the tent of meeting, —thus shall it be for the sons of Israel as a memorial before Yahweh, to put a propitiatory-covering over your souls.
૧૬ઇઝરાયલીઓ પાસેથી મળેલાં જીવના બદલામાં અર્પણ કરેલાં પ્રાયશ્ચિતનાં નાણાં મુલાકાતમંડપની સેવામાં ખર્ચવાં. આ અર્પણ ઇઝરાયલી લોકોને માટે યહોવાહની સમક્ષતામાં સ્મરણરૂપ થશે.”
17 Then spake Yahweh unto Moses, saying—
૧૭યહોવાહે મૂસાને કહ્યું,
18 And thou shalt make a laver of bronze, and its stand of bronze for bathing, —and thou shalt place it between the tent of meeting and the altar, and shalt put therein water.
૧૮“હાથપગ ધોવા તારે પિત્તળના તળિયાવાળી પિત્તળની કૂડી બનાવવી. અને તેને વેદી અને મુલાકાતમંડપની વચ્ચે મૂકીને તેમાં પાણી ભરવું.
19 So shall Aaron and his sons bathe thereat, —their hands, and their feet.
૧૯હારુને અને તેના પુત્રોએ હાથપગ ધોવામાં એ પાણીનો ઉપયોગ કરવો.
20 When they enter the tent of meeting, they shall bathe with water so shall they not die, —or when they approach unto the altar to minister, to burn as incense an altar-flame to Yahweh:
૨૦જો તેમણે એ પાણીથી હાથપગ ધોયા હશે તો તેઓ મુલાકાતમંડપમાં સેવા કરવા જશે અથવા અર્પણ ચઢાવવા વેદી પાસે જશે ત્યારે તેઓ મૃત્યુ પામશે નહિ.
21 so then they shall bathe their hands and their feet and shall not die, —and it shall be to them an age-abiding statute, to him and to his seed to their generations.
૨૧તેઓ મૃત્યુ ન પામે તેટલાં માટે તેઓએ અચૂક હાથપગ ધોવા. આ કાનૂન તેમણે અને તેમના વંશજોએ પેઢી દર પેઢી પાળવાનો રહેશે. હારુન અને તેના પુત્રો માટે આ સૂચનાઓ છે.”
22 Then spake Yahweh unto Moses, saying—
૨૨યહોવાહે મૂસાને કહ્યું,
23 Thou, therefore, take to thee—principal spices, —self-flowing myrrh, five hundred, and fragrant cinnamon, half as much, two hundred and fifty, and, fragrant cane, two hundred and fifty;
૨૩“તારે શ્રેષ્ઠ ગુણવત્તાવાળી સુગંધીઓ લેવી, એટલે પાંચસો શેકેલ ચોખ્ખો બોળ, અઢીસો શેકેલ સુગંધીદાર તજ, અઢીસો સુગંધીદાર બરુ,
24 and, cassia, five hundred, by the shekel of the sanctuary, —and, oil olive, a hin.
૨૪પાંચસો શેકેલ દાલચીની એ બધું પવિત્રસ્થાનના શેકેલ પ્રમાણે લેવું. વળી જૈતૂનનું એક કેન તેલ લેવું.
25 And thou shalt make it an oil for holy anointing, a compounded perfume the work of a perfumer, —an oil for holy anointing, shall it be.
૨૫નિષ્ણાત સુગંધીઓ બનાવનારાઓ પાસે આ સર્વ પદાર્થોનું મિશ્રણ કરીને અભિષેકનું તેલ તૈયાર કરાવવું.
26 And thou shalt anoint therewith the tent of meeting, —and the ark of the testimony;
૨૬અભિષેકના તેલથી તું મુલાકાતમંડપને, કરારકોશને,
27 and the table and all its utensils, and the lampstand, and its utensils, —and the incense altar,
૨૭બાજઠ તથા તેની બધી સામગ્રીઓને, દીવીને અને તેનાં સાધનોને, ધૂપની વેદીને,
28 and the altar for the ascending-sacrifice, and all its utensils, -and the laver, and its stand.
૨૮દહનીયાર્પણની વેદીને અને તેનાં સાધનોને તથા ઘોડી સહિત હાથપગ ધોવાની કૂંડીને અભિષેક કરજે.
29 So shalt thou hallow them, and they shall be most holy, —whosoever toucheth them, shall be holy.
૨૯આ પ્રમાણે આ બધી વસ્તુઓ પવિત્ર કર એટલે તે બધી પરમપવિત્ર બની જશે. અને જે કોઈ તેમને સ્પર્શ કરશે તે પવિત્ર થશે.
30 Aaron also, and his sons, shalt thou anoint, —so shalt thou hallow them to minister as priests unto me.
૩૦ત્યાર પછી તારે હારુનને અને તેના પુત્રોનો અભિષેક કરીને મારા યાજકો તરીકે તેઓને પવિત્ર કર.
31 And unto the sons of Israel, shalt thou speak, saying, An oil for holy anointing, shall this be to me, to your generations.
૩૧તારે ઇઝરાયલીઓને કહેવું, ‘તમારે પેઢી દર પેઢી આ મારે માટે અભિષેકનું તેલ થાય.
32 Upon the flesh of a common man, shall it not be poured, and according to the proportions thereof, shall ye not make any like it, —holy, it is, holy, shall it be to you.
૩૨તે માણસોના શરીરે ન લગાડાય અને તેના જેવું બીજું તેલ તમારે બનાવવું નહિ, કેમ કે એ પવિત્ર તેલ છે અને તમારે માટે એ પવિત્ર ગણાશે.
33 Whosoever compoundeth any like it, and whosoever bestoweth thereof upon a stranger, shall be cut off from among his people.
૩૩જે કોઈ આ સુગંધીઓનું મિશ્રણ કરી આવું તેલ બનાવે અથવા જે યાજક નથી તેવી કોઈ વ્યક્તિ ઉપર તે રેડે, તેને તેના સમાજમાંથી જુદો કરવામાં આવે.’”
34 Then said Yahweh unto Moses—Take to thee aromatic spices stacte and onycha, and galbanum, —aromatic spices, and pure frankincense, —weight for weight, shall it be.
૩૪યહોવાહે મૂસાને કહ્યું, “તારે મિષ્ટ સુગંધીઓ વાપરવી નાટાફ, શહેલેથ, હેલ્બના અને શુદ્ધ લોબાન પ્રત્યેકને સરખે ભાગે લેવાં.
35 And thou shalt make of it an incense, a perfume the work of a perfumer, —salted, pure, holy.
૩૫તેના મિશ્રણમાંથી સુગંધી ધૂપ બનાવવો. આ ધૂપ નિષ્ણાત કારીગર બનાવતો હોય તે રીતે બનાવવો. એ ધૂપને શુદ્ધ અને પવિત્ર રાખવા તેમાં મીઠું મેળવવું.
36 And thou shalt beat some of it to powder, and place thereof before the testimony, in the tent of meeting, where I am to meet with thee, —most holy, shall it be to you.
૩૬એમાંથી થોડો ભાગ ઝીણો ખાંડીને તેનો ઉપયોગ મુલાકાતમંડપમાં કરારકોશ આગળ, જયાં હું તને દર્શન આપવાનો છું ત્યાં કરવો. તમારે આ ધૂપને અત્યંત પવિત્ર માનવો.
37 And the incense which thou shalt make, according to the proportions thereof, ye shall not make for yourselves, —holy, shall it be to thee, to Yahweh.
૩૭આ વિધિ પ્રમાણેનો જ ધૂપ બને તેવી બનાવટનો ધૂપ તમે તમારા પોતાના ઉપયોગ માટે બનાવશો નહિ. તમારે તો તેને પવિત્રવસ્તુ જ ગણવી.
38 Whosoever shall make like it, to smell of it shall be cut off from among his people.
૩૮તેના જેવો ધૂપ જે કોઈ સૂંઘવાને માટે બનાવે, તેને તેના સમાજમાંથી અલગ કરવામાં આવે.”
