Exodus 25

1 And Yahweh spake unto Moses, saying:

Et le Seigneur parla à Moïse, disant:

2 Speak unto the sons of Israel, that they take for me a heave-offering, —of every man whose heart urgeth him, shall ye take my heave-offering.

Dis aux enfants d’Israël qu’ils prennent pour moi des prémices; vous les recevrez de tout homme qui les offrira de son plein gré.

3 And, this is the heave-offering which ye shall take of them, —gold and silver and bronze;

Or voici ce que vous devez recevoir: de l’or, de l’argent et de l’airain;

4 and blue, and purple, and crimson and fine linen, and goat’s hair;

De l’hyacinthe, de la pourpre, de l’écarlate deux fois teinte, du fin lin, des poils de chèvres,

5 and rams’ skins dyed red, and badgers’ skins and acacia wood;

Des peaux de béliers teintes en rouges et des peaux violettes, et des bois de sétim;

6 oil for giving light, —perfumes for the anointing oil, and for fragrant incense;

De l’huile pour entretenir les luminaires, des aromates pour le parfum à oindre, et des parfums à brûler d’une excellente odeur;

7 onyx stones, and setting stones, —for the ephod and for the breastpiece:

Des pierres d’onyx et des pierres précieuses pour orner l’éphod et le rational.

8 So shall they make for me a sanctuary, —and I will make my habitation in their midst:

Et ils me feront un sanctuaire et j’habiterai au milieu d’eux:

9 according to all that, I, am shewing thee, the pattern of the habitation, and the pattern of all the furnishings thereof, even so, shall ye make it.

Il aura une ressemblance parfaite avec le tabernacle que je te montrerai, et avec tous les vases consacrés à son service: or, c’est ainsi que vous le ferez.

10 And they shall make an ark of acacia wood, -two cubits and a half, the length thereof and, a cubit and a half, the breadth thereof, and, a cubit and a half, the height thereof.

Construisez une arche de bois de sétim, dont la longueur ait deux coudées et demie; la largeur une coudée et demie; la hauteur pareillement une coudée et demie.

11 And thou shalt overlay it with pure gold, within and without, shalt thou overlay it, —and thou shalt make thereon a rim of gold, round about.

Puis tu la doreras d’un or très pur au dedans et au dehors, et tu feras au - dessus une couronne d’or tout autour;

12 And thou shalt cast for it four rings of gold, and shalt put them on the four feet thereof, —even two rings on the one side thereof, and two rings on the other side thereof.

Et quatre anneaux d’or, que tu mettras aux quatre coins de l’arche: que deux anneaux soient à un côté, et deux à l’autre.

13 And thou shalt make staves, of acacia wood, —and shalt overlay them with gold.

Tu feras aussi des leviers de bois de sétim, et tu les couvriras d’or;

14 And thou shalt bring in the staves into the rings, on the sides of the ark, —to bear the ark therewith,

Et tu les introduiras dans les anneaux qui sont aux côtés de l’arche pour qu’on la porte par leur moyen.

15 In the rings of the ark, shall remain the staves, —they shall not be removed therefrom.

Ils seront toujours dans les anneaux, et jamais ils n’en seront retirés.

16 And thou shalt put into the ark, —the testimony which I will give unto thee.

Et tu mettras dans l’arche le témoignage que je te donnerai.

17 And thou shalt make a propitiatory, of pure gold, —two cubits and a half, the length thereof, and, a cubit and a half, the breadth thereof,

Tu feras aussi un propitiatoire d’un or très pur: la longueur tiendra deux coudées et demie, et sa largeur une coudée et demie.

18 And thou shalt make two cherubim of gold, —of beaten work, shalt thou make them, out of the two ends of the propitiatory.

Tu feras de plus deux chérubins d’or et ductiles des deux côtés de l’oracle.

19 And make thou one cherub out of this end, and the other cherub out of that end, —out of the propitiatory, shall ye make the cherubim upon the two ends thereof.

Qu’un chérubin soit d’un côté et l’autre de l’autre.

20 And the cherubim shall be spreading out two wings on high—making a shelter with their wings over the propitiatory, with their faces one towards the other, —towards the propitiatory, shall be the faces of the cherubim.

Qu’ils couvrent les deux côtés du propitiatoire, étendant les ailes et ombrageant l’oracle; et qu’ils se regardent l’un l’autre, les visages tournés vers le propitiatoire, dont doit être couverte l’arche,

21 And thou shalt put the propitiatory upon the ark above, —and in the ark, shalt thou put the testimony, which I will give unto thee.

Dans laquelle tu mettras le témoignage que je te donnerai.

22 And I will meet with thee there, and will speak with thee from off the propitiatory, from between the two cherubim, which are upon the ark of the testimony, —whatsoever I may give thee in charge, for the sons of Israel.

C’est de là que j’ordonnerai; et je te dirai au-dessus du propitiatoire, et du milieu des deux chérubins, qui seront l’arche du témoignage, tout ce que je commanderai par toi aux enfants d’Israël.

23 And thou shalt make a table, of acacia wood, two cubits, the length thereof, and a cubit the breadth thereof, and a cubit and a half the height thereof.

Tu feras aussi une table de bois de sétim, ayant deux coudées de longueur, et en largeur une coudée et demie.

24 and thou shalt overlay it with pure gold, —and shalt make thereto a rim of gold, round about;

Et tu la doreras d’un or très pur, et lui feras une bordure d’or tout autour,

25 and thou shalt make thereto a border of a handbreadth, round about, —and shalt make a rim of gold to the border thereof, round about;

Et à la bordure elle-même une couronne de sculpture à jour haute de quatre doigts, et au-dessus d’elle une autre couronne d’or.

26 and thou shalt make to it four rings of gold, —and shalt place the rings on the four corners which pertain to the four feet thereof:

Tu prépareras aussi quatre anneaux d’or et tu les poseras aux quatre coins de cette même table, un à chaque pied.

27 adjoining the border, shall be the rings, —as receptacles for the staves, for lifting the table;

Au-dessous de la couronne seront les anneaux d’or, pour qu’on y passe les leviers et qu’on puisse porter la table.

28 and thou shalt make the staves of acacia wood, and shalt overlay them with gold, —and the table shall be lifted there, with;

Les leviers eux-mêmes, tu les feras aussi de bois de sétim et tu les doreras tout autour, pour porter la table.

29 and thou shalt make its dishes and its pans and its basins and its bowls, for pouring out therewith, —of pure gold, shalt thou make them.

Tu prépareras encore des plats, des patères, des encensoirs et des tasses en or très pur, dans lesquelles doivent être offertes les libations.

30 And thou shalt place upon the table Presence-bread, before me continually.

Et tu placeras sur la table des pains de proposition toujours en ma présence.

31 And thou shalt make a lampstand of pure gold, of beaten work, shall the lampstand be made, even its base and its shaft its cups, its apples, and its blossoms of the same, shall be:

Tu feras aussi un chandelier ductile d’un or très pur, avec sa tige, ses branches, ses coupes, ses pommes et ses lis qui en sortiront.

32 with, six branches, coming out of its sides, three branches of the lampstand, out the one side thereof, and three branches of the lampstand, out of the other side thereof:

Six branches sortiront des côtés, trois d’un côté et trois de l’autre.

33 three cups like almond-flowers, in the one branch apple and blossom, and, three cups like almond-flowers, in the other branch apple and blossom, so, for the six branches, coming out of the lampstand.

II y aura trois coupes en forme de noix à une branche, ainsi qu’une pomme et un lis; et pareillement trois coupes en forme de noix, à une autre branche, ainsi qu’une pomme et un lis: tel sera le travail des six branches qu’on devra faire sortir de la tige.

34 And in the lampstand itself, four cups, —like almond-flowers—its apples, and its blossoms;

Mais au chandelier lui-même il y aura quatre coupes en forme de noix, et des pommes à chacune ainsi que des lis.

35 and an apple under two branches of the same, and, another apple, under two other branches of the same, and another apple under two other branches, of the same, —for the six branches, coming out of the lampstand:

Il y aura des pommes en trois endroits sous les deux branches, qui font ensemble six, sortant d’une seule tige.

36 their apples and their branches, of the same, shall be, —all of it, of one beaten work, of pure gold.

Ainsi, et les pommes et les branches sortiront du chandelier lui-même, toutes ductiles d’un or très pur.

37 And thou shalt make the lamps thereof seven, and one shall light up its lamps, and it shall give light, over against the face thereof.

Tu feras de plus sept lampes et tu les mettras au-dessus du chandelier afin qu’elles éclairent vis-à-vis l’une de l’autre.

38 And, its snuffers, and its snuff-trays of pure gold.

Et aussi que des mouchettes et des vases où les lumignons doivent s’éteindre, soient faits d’un or très pur.

39 With a talent of pure gold, shall he make it, with all these vessels,

Tout le poids du chandelier avec tout ce qui sert à son usage sera d’un talent d’or très pur.

40 And see thou and make them, by the pattern of them, which thou wast caused to behold in the mount

Regarde, et fais selon le modèle qui t’a été montré sur la montagne.
