Exodus 25

1 And Yahweh spake unto Moses, saying:

L’Éternel parla à Moïse en ces termes:

2 Speak unto the sons of Israel, that they take for me a heave-offering, —of every man whose heart urgeth him, shall ye take my heave-offering.

"Invite les enfants d’Israël à me préparer une offrande de la part de quiconque y sera porté par son cœur, vous recevrez mon offrande.

3 And, this is the heave-offering which ye shall take of them, —gold and silver and bronze;

Et voici l’offrande que vous recevrez d’eux: or, argent et cuivre;

4 and blue, and purple, and crimson and fine linen, and goat’s hair;

étoffes d’azur, de pourpre, d’écarlate, de fin lin et de poil de chèvre;

5 and rams’ skins dyed red, and badgers’ skins and acacia wood;

peaux de bélier teintes en rouge, peaux de tahach et bois de chittîm;

6 oil for giving light, —perfumes for the anointing oil, and for fragrant incense;

huile pour le luminaire, aromates pour l’huile d’onction et pour la combustion des parfums;

7 onyx stones, and setting stones, —for the ephod and for the breastpiece:

pierres de choham et pierres à enchâsser, pour l’éphod et pour le pectoral.

8 So shall they make for me a sanctuary, —and I will make my habitation in their midst:

Et ils me construiront un sanctuaire, pour que je réside au milieu d’eux,

9 according to all that, I, am shewing thee, the pattern of the habitation, and the pattern of all the furnishings thereof, even so, shall ye make it.

semblable en tout à ce que je t’indiquerai, c’est-à-dire au plan du tabernacle et de toutes ses pièces et vous l’exécuterez ainsi.

10 And they shall make an ark of acacia wood, -two cubits and a half, the length thereof and, a cubit and a half, the breadth thereof, and, a cubit and a half, the height thereof.

"On fera une arche en bois de chittîm, ayant deux coudées et demie de long, une coudée et demie de large, une coudée et demie de hauteur.

11 And thou shalt overlay it with pure gold, within and without, shalt thou overlay it, —and thou shalt make thereon a rim of gold, round about.

Tu la revêtiras d’or pur, intérieurement et extérieurement; et tu l’entoureras d’une corniche d’or."

12 And thou shalt cast for it four rings of gold, and shalt put them on the four feet thereof, —even two rings on the one side thereof, and two rings on the other side thereof.

Tu mouleras pour l’arche quatre anneaux d’or, que tu placeras à ses quatre angles; savoir, deux anneaux à l’un de ses côtés et deux anneaux au côté opposé.

13 And thou shalt make staves, of acacia wood, —and shalt overlay them with gold.

Tu feras des barres de bois de chittîm, que tu recouvriras d’or.

14 And thou shalt bring in the staves into the rings, on the sides of the ark, —to bear the ark therewith,

Tu passeras ces barres dans les anneaux, le long des côtés de l’arche, pour qu’elles servent à la porter.

15 In the rings of the ark, shall remain the staves, —they shall not be removed therefrom.

Les barres, engagées dans les anneaux de l’arche, ne doivent point la quitter.

16 And thou shalt put into the ark, —the testimony which I will give unto thee.

Tu déposeras dans l’arche le Statut que je te donnerai.

17 And thou shalt make a propitiatory, of pure gold, —two cubits and a half, the length thereof, and, a cubit and a half, the breadth thereof,

Tu feras aussi un propitiatoire d’or pur, ayant deux coudées et demie de long, une coudée et demie de large.

18 And thou shalt make two cherubim of gold, —of beaten work, shalt thou make them, out of the two ends of the propitiatory.

Puis tu feras deux chérubins d’or, tu les fabriqueras tout d’une pièce, ressortant des deux extrémités du propitiatoire.

19 And make thou one cherub out of this end, and the other cherub out of that end, —out of the propitiatory, shall ye make the cherubim upon the two ends thereof.

Fais ressortir un chérubin d’un côté et l’autre du côté opposé, c’est du propitiatoire même que vous ferez saillir ces chérubins, à ses deux extrémités.

20 And the cherubim shall be spreading out two wings on high—making a shelter with their wings over the propitiatory, with their faces one towards the other, —towards the propitiatory, shall be the faces of the cherubim.

Ces chérubins auront les ailes étendues en avant et dominant le propitiatoire et leurs visages, tournés l’un vers l’autre, seront dirigés vers le propitiatoire.

21 And thou shalt put the propitiatory upon the ark above, —and in the ark, shalt thou put the testimony, which I will give unto thee.

Tu placeras ce propitiatoire au-dessus de l’arche, après avoir déposé dans l’arche le Statut que je te donnerai.

22 And I will meet with thee there, and will speak with thee from off the propitiatory, from between the two cherubim, which are upon the ark of the testimony, —whatsoever I may give thee in charge, for the sons of Israel.

C’Est là que je te donnerai rendez-vous; c’est de dessus le propitiatoire, entre les deux chérubins placés sur l’arche du Statut, que je te communiquerai tous mes ordres pour les enfants d’Israël.

23 And thou shalt make a table, of acacia wood, two cubits, the length thereof, and a cubit the breadth thereof, and a cubit and a half the height thereof.

"Tu feras ensuite une table de bois de chittîm, longue de deux coudées, haute d’une coudée et demie.

24 and thou shalt overlay it with pure gold, —and shalt make thereto a rim of gold, round about;

Tu la recouvriras d’or pur et tu l’entoureras d’une bordure d’or.

25 and thou shalt make thereto a border of a handbreadth, round about, —and shalt make a rim of gold to the border thereof, round about;

Tu y adapteras, tout autour, un châssis large d’un palme et tu entoureras ce châssis d’une bordure d’or.

26 and thou shalt make to it four rings of gold, —and shalt place the rings on the four corners which pertain to the four feet thereof:

Tu feras pour la table quatre anneaux d’or, que tu fixeras aux quatre extrémités formées par ses quatre pieds.

27 adjoining the border, shall be the rings, —as receptacles for the staves, for lifting the table;

C’Est vis-à-vis que se trouveront les anneaux; ils donneront passage à des barres servant à porter la table.

28 and thou shalt make the staves of acacia wood, and shalt overlay them with gold, —and the table shall be lifted there, with;

Tu feras ces barres en bois de chittîm et tu les recouvriras d’or; c’est par leur moyen que sera portée la table.

29 and thou shalt make its dishes and its pans and its basins and its bowls, for pouring out therewith, —of pure gold, shalt thou make them.

Tu feras ses sébiles et ses cuillers, ses montants et ses demi-tubes, pièces dont elle doit être garnie; c’est en or pur que tu les confectionneras.

30 And thou shalt place upon the table Presence-bread, before me continually.

Et tu placeras sur cette table des pains de proposition, en permanence devant moi.

31 And thou shalt make a lampstand of pure gold, of beaten work, shall the lampstand be made, even its base and its shaft its cups, its apples, and its blossoms of the same, shall be:

"Tu, feras aussi un candélabre d’or pur. Ce candélabre, c’est-à-dire son pied et sa tige, sera fait tout d’une pièce; ses calices, ses boutons et ses fleurs feront corps avec lui.

32 with, six branches, coming out of its sides, three branches of the lampstand, out the one side thereof, and three branches of the lampstand, out of the other side thereof:

Six branches sortiront de ses côtés: trois branches du candélabre d’un côté et trois branches du candélabre de l’autre.

33 three cups like almond-flowers, in the one branch apple and blossom, and, three cups like almond-flowers, in the other branch apple and blossom, so, for the six branches, coming out of the lampstand.

Trois calices amygdaloïdes à l’une des branches, avec bouton et fleur et trois calices amygdaloïdës, avec bouton et fleur à l’autre branche; ainsi pour les six branches qui sailliront du candélabre.

34 And in the lampstand itself, four cups, —like almond-flowers—its apples, and its blossoms;

Le fût du candélabre portera quatre calices amygdaloïdes, avec ses boutons et ses fleurs;

35 and an apple under two branches of the same, and, another apple, under two other branches of the same, and another apple under two other branches, of the same, —for the six branches, coming out of the lampstand:

savoir, un bouton à l’origine d’une de ses paires de branches, un bouton à l’origine de sa seconde paire de branches, un bouton à l’origine de la troisième: ils répondront aux six branches partant du candélabre.

36 their apples and their branches, of the same, shall be, —all of it, of one beaten work, of pure gold.

Boutons et branches feront corps avec lui; le tout sera fait d’un seul lingot d’or pur.

37 And thou shalt make the lamps thereof seven, and one shall light up its lamps, and it shall give light, over against the face thereof.

Puis tu feras ses lampes au nombre de sept; quand on disposera ces lampes, on en dirigera la lumière du côté de sa face.

38 And, its snuffers, and its snuff-trays of pure gold.

Puis, ses mouchettes et ses godets, en or pur.

39 With a talent of pure gold, shall he make it, with all these vessels,

Un kikkar d’or pur sera employé pour le candélabre, y compris tous ces accessoires.

40 And see thou and make them, by the pattern of them, which thou wast caused to behold in the mount

Médite et exécute, selon le plan qui t’est indiqué sur cette montagne.
