< Exodus 21 >

1 Now, these are the regulations which thou shalt put before them.
“Waɗannan su ne dokokin da za ka sa a gabansu.
2 When thou shalt acquire a servant who is a Hebrew, six years, shall he serve, —but in the seventh shall he go out freely—for nought.
“In ka sayi mutumin Ibraniyawa a matsayin bawa, zai bauta maka shekara shida. Amma a shekara ta bakwai, za ka’yantar da shi, yă tafi’yantacce, ba tare da ya biya kome ba.
3 If, by himself, he came in, by himself, shall he go out, —if he was married, then shall his wife go out with him.
In ya zo shi kaɗai, zai tafi’yantacce shi kaɗai; amma in yana da mata a lokacin da ya zo, za tă tafi tare da shi.
4 If his lord gave him a wife, and she have borne him sons or daughters, the wife and her children shall be her lords, and, he shall go out by himself.
In maigidansa ya yi masa aure, ta kuwa haifa masa’ya’ya maza ko mata, matan da’ya’yan, za su zama na maigidan, sai mutumin kaɗai zai tafi’yantacce.
5 But, if the servant shall plainly say, I love my lord, and my wife and my sons, —I will not go out free,
“Amma in bawan ya furta ya ce, ‘Ina ƙaunar maigidana, da matata, da’ya’yana, ba na so kuma in’yantu,’
6 then shall his lord bring him near unto God, and shall bring him near unto the door, or unto the door-post, —and his lord shall pierce his ear with an awl, so shall he serve him all his life.
dole maigidansa yă kai shi gaban alƙalai. Zai kai shi ƙofa ko madogarar ƙofa, yă huda kunnensa da basilla, sa’an nan zai zama bawansa duk tsawon kwanakinsa a duniya.
7 And when a man shall sell his daughter to be a handmaid, she shall not go out according to the out-going of the men-servants,
“In mutum ya sayar da’yarsa a matsayin baiwa, ba za a’yantar da ita kamar bawa ba.
8 If she is uncomely in the eyes of her lord, who hath not assigned her in marriage, then shall he suffer her to be redeemed: to a strange people, shall he not have power to sell her in that he hath dealt treacherously with her.
In ba tă gamshi maigida wanda ya zaɓe ta domin kansa ba, dole yă bari a fanshe ta. Ba shi da dama yă sayar da ita ga baƙi, tun da yake bai kyauta mata ba.
9 And if, to his son, he assign her, according to the custom for daughters, shall he do for her.
In ya zaɓe ta domin ɗansa, dole yă ba ta duk damar da’ya ta mace take da shi.
10 If he take to himself another, her food her clothing, and her marriage-right, shall he not withdraw.
In ya auri wata mace, ba zai hana wa baiwar abinci da sutura ba, ba kuma zai ƙi kwana da ita ba.
11 But if these three, he will not do for her, then shall she go out for nought, without silver.
In bai tanada mata waɗannan abubuwa uku ba, sai tă tafi’yantacciya, babu biyan kome.
12 He that smiteth a man, so that he die, shall surely be put to death.
“Duk wanda ya bugi mutum har ya kashe shi, lalle a kashe shi.
13 But he who hath not lain in wait, but, God, hath occasioned him to come to his hand, then will I appoint for thee a place, whither he may flee.
Amma in ba da nufin yă kashe shi ba, sai dai in Allah ne ya nufa haka, to, sai mutumin yă tsere zuwa inda zan nuna muku.
14 But, when a man shall act presumptuously against his neighbour to slay him with guile, from mine altar, shalt thou take him to die.
Amma in mutumin ya yi dabara har ya kashe wani mutum da gangan, sai a ɗauke shi daga bagadena a kashe shi.
15 And, he that smiteth his father or his mother, shall, surely be put to death.
“Duk wanda ya bugi mahaifinsa ko mahaifiyarsa, dole a kashe shi.
16 And, he that stealeth a man of the sons of Israel, and selleth him, or he be found in his hand, shall, surely be put to death.
“Duk wanda ya saci mutum ya sayar da shi, ko kuwa aka iske shi a hannunsa, lalle kashe shi za a yi.
17 And he who revileth his father or his mother, shall, surely be put to death.
“Duk wanda ya la’anta mahaifinsa ko mahaifiyarsa, dole a kashe shi.
18 And when men strive together, and one shall smite the other, with a stone or with his fist, —and he die not, but shall fall to his bed; —
“Idan mutane suka yi faɗa, ɗayan ya jefa ɗayan da dutse, ko ya naushe shi amma bai mutu ba, sai dai ya yi ta jiyya,
19 if he rise and shall walk abroad on his staff, then shall he that smote him be acquitted, —only, for his loss of time, he shall pay, and, shall surely heal, him.
idan mutumin ya sāke tashi ya yi tafiya ko da yana dogarawa da sanda ne, wanda ya buge shi zai kuɓuta, sai dai zai biya diyyar lokacin da ya ɓata masa, yă kuma lura da shi, har yă warke sarai.
20 And when a man shall smite his servant or his handmaid with a rod, and he die under his hand, he shall, surely be avenged;
“In mutum ya dūke bawansa ko baiwarsa da sanda, sai bawan ko baiwar ta mutu saboda dūkan, dole a hukunta shi,
21 nevertheless if, for a day or for two days, he continue, he shall not be avenged, for, his silver, he is.
amma ba za a hukunta shi ba, in bawan ko baiwar ta tashi, bayan kwana ɗaya ko biyu, tun da bawan ko baiwar mallakarsa ne.
22 And when men strive together and push against a woman with child, and she miscarry, but there is no other mischief, he shall, surely be fined, according as the woman’s husband shall lay upon him, but he shall give it through judges.
“Idan mutum biyu suna faɗa, har suka yi wa mace mai ciki rauni, har ya sa ta yi ɓari, amma wani lahani bai same ta ba, za a ci wa wanda ya yi mata raunin tara bisa ga yadda mijinta ya yanka za a biya, in dai abin da ya yanka ya yi daidai da abin da alƙalai suka tsara.
23 But, if mischief follow, then shalt thou give life for life;
Amma in akwai rauni mai tsanani, sai a ɗauki rai a maimakon rai,
24 eye for eye, tooth for tooth, —hand for hand, foot for foot,
ido don ido, haƙori don haƙori, hannu don hannu, ƙafa don ƙafa,
25 brand for brand, wound for wound, —stripe for stripe.
ƙuna don ƙuna, rauni don rauni, ƙujewa don ƙujewa.
26 And, when a man smiteth the eye of his servant, or the eye of his handmaid, and destroyeth it, he shall send him forth, free, for his eye;
“In mutum ya bugi bawa ko baiwa a ido, har idon ya lalace, dole yă’yantar da shi ko ita, maimakon ido.
27 or, if, the tooth of his servant or the tooth of his handmaid, he knock out, he shall send him forth, free, for his tooth.
In kuma ya fangare haƙorin bawa ko baiwa, dole yă’yantar da bawan ko baiwar, a maimakon haƙorin.
28 And when an ox goreth a man or a woman, and death ensueth, the ox shall, surely be stoned and his flesh shall not be eaten, and the owner of the ox, shall be quit.
“In bijimi ya kashe namiji ko ta mace, dole a jajjefe bijimin har yă mutu, ba za a kuma ci namansa ba. Amma mai bijimin ba shi da laifi.
29 But, if, the ox, was wont to gore before that time and it hath been attested to his owner, and he hath not proceeded to put him under guard, and he causeth the death of man or woman, the ox, shall be stoned, and, his owner also, shall be put to death.
In, har an san bijimin da wannan hali, an kuma yi wa mai shi gargaɗi, amma bai ɗaura shi ba, har ya kashe namiji ko ta mace, za a jajjefe bijimin tare da mai shi, har su mutu.
30 If, a sin-covering, be laid on him, then shall he give a ransom for his life, according to whatsoever may be laid on him:
Amma fa, in an bukace shi yă biya, zai biya don yă fanshi ransa ta wurin biyan abin da aka aza masa.
31 if, a son, he gore or, a daughter, he gore, according to this regulation, shall it be done to him;
Wannan doka ta shafi batun bijimin da ya kashe ɗa ko’ya.
32 if, a servant the ox gore, or a handmaid, thirty shekels of silver, shall he give to his lord, and, the ox, shall be stoned.
In bijimin ya kashe bawa ko baiwa, mai shi zai biya shekel talatin na azurfa wa maigidan bawan, a kuma a jajjefe bijimin.
33 And when a man openeth a pit, or when a man diggeth a pit, and doth not cover it, —and there falleth thereinto an ox or an ass,
“In mutum ya bar rami a buɗe, ko ya haƙa rami bai kuma rufe ba, sai saniya ko jaki ya fāɗi a ciki,
34 the owner of the pit, shall make it good, silver, shall he pay back to the owner thereof, —and the dead beast, shall be his.
Mai ramin zai biya rashin da aka yi wa mai shi, matacciyar saniyan ko jakin, zai zama na mai ramin.
35 And when the ox of one man thrusteth the ox of his neighbour so that it dieth, then shall they sell the live ox and divide the silver thereof, and the dead ox also, shall they divide,
“In bijimin mutum ya raunana bijimin wani, har ya mutu, sai mutanen biyu su sayar da mai ran, su raba kuɗin daidai, haka ma su yi da mai ran.
36 Or if it was known that, an ox, was, wont to gore, before that time, and his owner proceeded not to put him under guard, he shall surely make good, —an ox for the ox, and, the dead one, shall be his.
Amma fa, in tun can, an san bijimin yana da wannan halin faɗa, duk da haka mai shi bai ɗaura shi ba, dole mai shi yă biya, dabba domin dabba, matacciyar dabbar kuwa tă zama nasa.
