Esther 5
1 And it came to pass, on the third day, that Esther put on her royal apparel, and stood in the inner court of the house of the king, over against the house of the king, —and, the king, was sitting upon his royal seat, in the royal house, over against the opening of the house.
Human sa tulo ka adlaw, nagsuot si Ester sa iyang harianon nga bisti ug miadto aron sa pagtindog sa sulod nga hawanan sa palasyo sa hari, nga anaa sa atubangan sa balay sa hari. Naglingkod ang hari sa iyang harianon nga trono diha sa harianon nga balay, nga nag-atubang sa agianan sa balay.
2 And it came to pass, when the king saw Esther the queen standing in the court, that she obtained favour in his eyes, —and the king held out to Esther, the golden sceptre which was in his hand, so Esther drew near, and touched the top of the sceptre.
Sa dihang nakita sa hari si Ester ang rayna nga nagtindog sa hawanan, nakadawat siya ug pagtugot sa iyang mga mata. Gitunol niya ang iyang bulawan nga setro ngadto sa kamot ni Ester. Busa mipaduol si Ester ug mihikap sa tumoy sa setro.
3 Then said the king unto her, What aileth thee, Queen Esther? and what is thy request? Unto the half of the kingdom, shall it be given thee.
Unya miingon ang hari ngadto kaniya, “Unsa man ang imong gusto, Rayna Ester? Unsa man ang imong hangyo? Bisan ang katunga sa akong gingharian, igahatag kini nganha kanimo.”
4 Then said Esther, If, unto the king, it seem good, let the king with Haman come in this day, unto the banquet which I have prepared for him.
Miingon si Ester, “Kung makapahimuot kini sa hari, itugot nga ang hari ug si Haman moadto karon sa kombira nga akong giandam alang kaniya.”
5 And the king said, Hasten ye Haman, to perform the word of Esther. So the king with Haman came in, unto the banquet which Esther had prepared,
Unya miingon ang hari, “Pagdali dad-a si Haman, aron buhaton kung unsa ang gisulti ni Ester.” Busa miadto sa kombira ang hari ug si Haman nga giandam ni Ester.
6 Then said the king unto Esther, during the banquet of wine, What is thy petition, that it may be granted thee?—and what is thy request—unto the half of the kingdom—that it may be performed?
Sa dihang nadalit na ang bino sa kombira, miingon ang hari ngadto kang Ester, “Unsa man ang imong gusto? Igahatag kini kanimo. Unsa man ang imong hangyo? Ang katunga sa akong gingharian, igahatag kini nganha kanimo.”
7 Then answered Esther, and said, —As touching my petition and my request,
Mitubag si Ester, “Ang akong gusto ug ang akong hangyo mao kini,
8 If I have found favour in the eyes of the king, and if, unto the king, it seem good, to grant my petition, and to perform my request, let the king with Haman come in unto the banquet which I will prepare for them, and, to-morrow, I will do according to the word of the king.
kung makakaplag ako ug pabor sa panan-aw sa hari ug kung makapahimuot kini sa hari aron sa paghatag sa akong gusto ug sa pagtahod sa akong hangyo, tugoti ang hari ug si Haman nga moadto sa kombira nga akong andamon alang kanimo pagkaugma ug akong tubagon ang pangutana sa hari.”
9 Then went Haman forth on that day, joyful and of a merry heart, —but, when Haman saw Mordecai in the gate of the king, that he rose not up nor moved because of him, then was Haman filled with wrath against Mordecai.
Niadto si Haman nianang adlawa nga malipayon ug nasadya ang iyang kasingkasing. Apan sa dihang nakita ni Haman si Mordecai nga anaa sa ganghaan sa hari, nga wala nagtindog ni nagpangurog si Mordecai sa iyang atubangan inubanan sa kahadlok, napuno siya sa kalagot batok kang Mordecai.
10 Nevertheless Haman restrained himself, and came into his own house, —and sent and brought in his friends, and Zeresh his wife;
Bisan pa niana, nagpugong si Haman sa iyang kaugalingon ug miuli sa iyang balay. Gipatawag niya ang iyang mga higala ug gitigom sila, uban sa iyang asawa nga si Zeres.
11 and Haman recounted unto them the glory of his riches, and the multitude of his children, —and all the things wherein the king had promoted him to power, and how he had advanced him, above the rulers and the servants of the king.
Gipasigarbo ni Haman kanila ang kadagaya sa iyang bahandi, ang gidaghanon sa iyang mga anak nga lalaki, ang tanang pagtuboy nga gipasidungog kaniya sa hari, ug giunsa siya sa pagpauswag labaw sa tanan nga mga opisyal ug sa mga sulugoon sa hari.
12 And Haman said, Moreover Esther the queen did bring in no one with the king into the banquet which she had prepared, saving myself, —yea moreover, even for to-morrow, I, am invited unto her, with the king.
Miingon si Haman, “Walay laing gidapit ni Rayna Ester gawas lamang kanako nga mouban sa hari aron moadto sa kombira nga iyang giandam. Bisan ugma gidapit ako niya pag-usab uban sa hari.
13 Yet, all this, sufficeth me not, —so long as, I, see Mordecai the Jew, sitting in the gate of the king.
Apan kining tanan walay bili alang kanako kung makita ko gihapon si Mordecai ang Judio nga nagalingkod sa ganghaan sa hari.”
14 Then said Zeresh his wife and all his friends unto him, Let them make ready a gallows, of the height of fifty cubits, and, in the morning, speak thou unto the king, that they hang Mordecai thereon, then go with the king into the banquet joyfully. And the thing seemed good before Haman, and he made ready the gallows.
Unya miingon ang iyang asawa nga si Zeres ngadto kang Haman ug sa tanan niyang mga higala, “Tugoti sila nga maghimo ug bitayanan nga 50 ka cubit ang gitas-on. Sa pagkabuntag pagpakigsulti sa hari alang kanila aron ibitay si Mordecai niini. Unya pag-uban nga malipayon sa hari ngadto sa kombira.” Nakapahimuot kini kang Haman ug gipabuhat niya ang bitayanan.
