< Ephesians 5 >
1 Become ye, therefore, imitators of God, as children beloved,
Aa le mitsikombea an’ Andrianañahare hoe anakisoke;
2 And walk in love—even as, the Christ also, loved you, and delivered himself up in your behalf, an offering and sacrifice unto God, for a fragrance of sweet smell.
naho mañaveloa am-pikokoañe, hambañe amy fikokoa’ Iesoà antikañey, ie namoea’e aiñe ho enga naho soroñe mandrifondrifoñe aman’ Añahare.
3 But, fornication, and all impurity, or covetousness, let it not be named among you—even as becometh saints;
Le asoao tsy ho toñoneñe ama’ areo ze atao fiolorañe tsy mañeva; naho ze haleorañe ndra fihañañe, amy t’ie tsy mañeva o noro’eo;
4 And shamelessness and foolish talking, or jesting, —which things are beneath you, —but, rather, giving of thanks;
apoho ka ze timbo, naho hakanìfoke naho sole maràñe, fa fonga tsy mete; vaho mañandriàña.
5 For, this, ye know, if ye take note—that no fornicator, or impure or greedy person, who is an idolater, hath any inheritance in the kingdom of the Christ and God.
Mahafohina an-katò te tsy aman-anjara amy fifehea’ i Norizañey naho aman’ Añahare ty mpiolotse ami’ty tsy evà’e naho ty mpanao haloloañe, vaho ty mihàñe (ie fiatoañe am-bara).
6 Let no one be deceiving you with empty words; for, because of these things, is coming the anger of God upon the sons of obstinacy:
Ko mete fañahieñe an-tsaontsy kòake; ie mikaike ty haviñeran’ Añahare amo anam-panjeharañeo.
7 Do not, then, become co-partners with them;
Le ko ireketañe.
8 For ye were, at one time, darkness, but, now, are ye light in the Lord, —as children of light, be walking,
Ni-hamoromoroñañe nahareo te taolo, fe hazavàñe amy Talè ao henaneo. Mañaveloa hoe anan-kazavàñe,
9 For, the fruit of the light, is in all goodness, and righteousness, and truth, —
(Ty voka’ o Hazavàñeo le ze hene hasoa naho havantañañe vaho hatò),
10 Putting to the test what is well-pleasing unto the Lord;
mamente ze mahafale’ i Talè.
11 And be not joining in fellowship in the unfruitful works of darkness, but, rather, be even administering reproof;
Ko mitrao-baoñe amo satan-kaieñe tsy vokatseo, fa aboaho ambatraike,
12 For, of the secret things which are brought to pass by them, it is, shameful, even to speak!
toe manalatse, tsy talilieñe o anoe’ iereo añ’etakeo.
13 All things, however, when reproved by the light, become manifest, for, all that of itself maketh manifest, is, light;
Malange ze he’e aborake an-kazavàñe eo, naho toe mazava ze nampidodeañe;
14 Wherefore it saith—Up! thou sleeper, and arise from among the dead, and the Christ will shine upon thee.
zay ty nampisaontsie’e ty hoe: Mivañona ry mirotseo, mitroara an-kavilasy, hitsavavàha’ i Norizañey.
15 Be taking heed, therefore, exactly how ye are walking, —not as unwise, but as wise, —
Itaò arè ty fañaveloa’ areo tsy hanahake o tsy aman-kilalao, fe tsikombeo o mahihitseo,
16 Buying out for yourselves the opportunity, because, the days, are evil;
rombaho o nifotoañañeo, fa raty o androo.
17 For this cause, do not become foolish, but have discernment as to what is the will of the Lord;
Aa le ko misare gege, fa arendreho ze satri’ i Talè.
18 And be not getting drunk with wine, in which is dissoluteness, but be getting filled in Spirit; —
Ko manao jike an-divay ie minday haloloañe; fa mihalifora amy Arofoy,
19 Speaking to yourselves, with psalms and hymns and spiritual songs; singing, and striking the strings, with your heart unto the Lord;
mifampisaontsia an-jejo naho sabo, naho an-takasy miavake, bekò naho titihò añ’arofo ao t’i Talè,
20 Giving thanks, always, for all things, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, unto your God and Father;
kila raha ro andriañeñe nainai’e aman’ Añahare Rae, amy tahina’ i Talèntika Iesoà Norizañeiy,
21 Submitting yourselves one to another in reverence of Christ, —
vaho mifampiambanea am-pañeveñañe i Norizañey.
22 Ye wives, unto your own husbands, as unto the Lord,
O roakembao, miandalia amo vali’ areoo, hoe amy Talè.
23 Because, a husband, is the head of his wife, as, the Christ also, is the head of the assembly, he, being the saviour of the body, —
Toe lohà’ i vali’ey ty lahilahy, hambañe ami’ty maha lohà’ i Fivoriy i Norizañe mpandrombak’ i Fañòvaiy.
24 Nevertheless, as, the assembly, submitteth herself unto the Christ, so, the wives, unto their husbands, in everything:
Aa le hambañe ami’ty fiambanea’ o Fivorio amy Norizañey, ty rakemba amy vali’ey amy ze he’e.
25 Ye husbands, be loving your wives, even as, the Christ also, loved the assembly, and delivered, himself, up in her behalf,
O ry lahilahio, kokò ty vali’ areo, hambañe ami’ty nikokoa’ i Norizañey i Fivoriy naho namoea’e aiñe,
26 That, her, he might sanctify, having purified [her] with the bath of water, in declaration,
ie navahe’e naho nikotriñe’e amy fampandroañe rano añamy tsaray,
27 That, he, might present, unto himself, the assembly, all glorious, not having spot or wrinkle or any of such things, but that she should be holy and blameless;
hampiatrefa’e ho Fivory lifots’ engeñe, tsy amam-pepo ndra komake ndra loli’e hoe izay, f’ie hiavake tsy aman-kila.
28 So, ought the husbands [also] to be loving their own wives, as their own bodies, —he that loveth his own wife, loveth himself,
Ehe mikokoa valy manahake ty vata’o ry lahilahio; mikoko vatañe ty mikoko valy.
29 No one, in fact, ever yet hated, his own flesh, but nourisheth and cherisheth it, —even as, the Christ, the assembly,
Toe tsy eo ty malaim-batañe, fa fahana’e naho beize’e hambañe amy Norizañey o Fivorio,
30 Because, members, are we of his body; —
amy t’ie mpitraok’ am-pañova’e ao:
31 For this cause, will a man leave his father and his mother, and will cleave unto his wife, and, they two, shall become, one flesh.
Izay ty isitaha’ ondaty aman-drae’e naho rene hipiteke ami’ty vali’e, vaho ho fañova raike i roroey.
32 This sacred secret, is, great, —I, however, am speaking as to Christ and [as to] the assembly; —
Tafatoño jabajaba izay, fa i Norizañey naho i Fivoriy ro ivolañako.
33 Nevertheless, ye also, do ye, individually, each man be so loving, his own wife, as himself, and, the wife, [see] that she reverence her husband.
F’ie, sindre mikokoa tañanjomba manahake ty vata’e, vaho miasia valy ry rakembao.
