< Ephesians 5 >

1 Become ye, therefore, imitators of God, as children beloved,
Nangmi cun Pamhnama mhlänak caea nami kyaka phäh, ani üng nami täng vaia ktha na u.
2 And walk in love—even as, the Christ also, loved you, and delivered himself up in your behalf, an offering and sacrifice unto God, for a fragrance of sweet smell.
Mhläkphyanak naw nami kcün sak up yah khai, Khritaw naw jah mhläkphya na lü a sak a jah pet cun Pamhnam jekyaisak lü ng’uinghnamkia petmsawt ja ngkengnaka a kyaka kba ni.
3 But, fornication, and all impurity, or covetousness, let it not be named among you—even as becometh saints;
Pamhnama khyanga nami kyaka phäha hüipawmnak, kamvanak ja am ngjaphyakia vecawhnak cun nami ksunga käh pyen ua.
4 And shamelessness and foolish talking, or jesting, —which things are beneath you, —but, rather, giving of thanks;
Am dawkyaki ja mdihmsuinaka ngthukhyüe cun pi nami phäha am daw ve. Acuna kcaha Pamhnam je na ua.
5 For, this, ye know, if ye take note—that no fornicator, or impure or greedy person, who is an idolater, hath any inheritance in the kingdom of the Christ and God.
Nami ksing vai ta ngneisak am dawki, am ngjakphyakia vecawhnak ja kamvanak (Kammanak cun juktuh hjawkhahnaka ngkhaw ni) naw Pamhnam ja Khritawa pe cun u naw pi am yah uki.
6 Let no one be deceiving you with empty words; for, because of these things, is coming the anger of God upon the sons of obstinacy:
U naw pi käh ning jah nghmawng mhlei se, isetiakyaküng, Pamhnama mlungsonak cun ani am kcangnakiea khana pha law khai ni.
7 Do not, then, become co-partners with them;
Acunakyase, acuna khyange am mi jah pawh püi vai am ve.
8 For ye were, at one time, darkness, but, now, are ye light in the Lord, —as children of light, be walking,
Nangmi cun mthana nami ve khawikie lüpi Bawipaa khyanga nami thawn pängkie kya lü akvai k'uma nami vekie. Acunakyase akvai kanaki khyange mäiha xüng ua,
9 For, the fruit of the light, is in all goodness, and righteousness, and truth, —
akvai kyase, acun naw ngthungtak, dawkyanak ja ngsungpyunnak naw mawihaheinak be law püiki ni.
10 Putting to the test what is well-pleasing unto the Lord;
I naw Bawipa jesaki i ti cun ktha na lü ngtheingthang ua.
11 And be not joining in fellowship in the unfruitful works of darkness, but, rather, be even administering reproof;
Ia am kyahkia khyangea bilawh cän anghmüp üng sängeikie ni. Acuna hnün üng anghmüp üngkhyüh jah set lü akvai da jah law püi ua. (
12 For, of the secret things which are brought to pass by them, it is, shameful, even to speak!
Angthupnaka ami bilawhe jah pyen vaia pi ngkeeiphyaki ni.)
13 All things, however, when reproved by the light, become manifest, for, all that of itself maketh manifest, is, light;
Anaküt akvaia vei ni law püi üng, ami ngneisak kcang cun angsing ngdangki;
14 Wherefore it saith—Up! thou sleeper, and arise from among the dead, and the Christ will shine upon thee.
Acunakyase, anaküt angsinga mdanki cun akvaia kyaki. “Ipkia khyang let law, thinak üngkhyüh tho law, acunüng Khritaw na khana vai khai ni,” tia pyenki.
15 Be taking heed, therefore, exactly how ye are walking, —not as unwise, but as wise, —
Acunakyase, ihawkba na vecawhki mceieia. I am ksingkia mäia käh ve lü khyang kthemngvaia mäia vea.
16 Buying out for yourselves the opportunity, because, the days, are evil;
Na taka kcün daw cun akdawa sumeia, isetiakyaküng, atuh cun am dawkia kcünmka ni.
17 For this cause, do not become foolish, but have discernment as to what is the will of the Lord;
Käh nghmawng ua, Bawipa naw i ning jah pawh hlüsaki ti cun ktha na lü sui ua.
18 And be not getting drunk with wine, in which is dissoluteness, but be getting filled in Spirit; —
Ning jah kpyak khaia ju käh mpyüi lü acuna hnün üng Ngmüimkhya am be ua.
19 Speaking to yourselves, with psalms and hymns and spiritual songs; singing, and striking the strings, with your heart unto the Lord;
Mküinake, Salan ja ngcimkia ng’äie am mat ja mat mtheh ua; mküinake ja Salan jah mcuk lü nami mlungkyawng am Bawipa mküimto ua.
20 Giving thanks, always, for all things, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, unto your God and Father;
Pa Pamhnam veia anaküt cun mi Bawipa Jesuh Khritawa ngming üng anglät se jenak mtheh ua.
21 Submitting yourselves one to another in reverence of Christ, —
Khritaw nami leisawngnak am mat ja mat mlung mhnem ua.
22 Ye wives, unto your own husbands, as unto the Lord,
Nghnumie Bawipa kea nami veia kba nami ceia kea pi ve ua.
23 Because, a husband, is the head of his wife, as, the Christ also, is the head of the assembly, he, being the saviour of the body, —
Isetiakyaküng, Khritaw cun sangcima khana ana a vea kba kpami cun a nghnumia khana ana veki, Khritaw a mät cun amäta pumsaa kyaki sangcima küikyan Bawi ni.
24 Nevertheless, as, the assembly, submitteth herself unto the Christ, so, the wives, unto their husbands, in everything:
Sangcim cun Khritawa kea a vea kba nghnumie pi ami ceiea kea ve u se.
25 Ye husbands, be loving your wives, even as, the Christ also, loved the assembly, and delivered, himself, up in her behalf,
Khritaw naw sangcim mhlä na lü a sak a peta kba kpamie naw pi nami khyu jah mhlä na ua.
26 That, her, he might sanctify, having purified [her] with the bath of water, in declaration,
Tui am ngcim khaia a jah pyawt käna a ngthu cun Pamhnam naw sangcim am a jah ap ni,
27 That, he, might present, unto himself, the assembly, all glorious, not having spot or wrinkle or any of such things, but that she should be holy and blameless;
sangcim cun ngtongtai lü caih lü käh mkhye lü käh ngpihma lü käh ngkhep lü amät kümcei lü amät kung üng a pet vaia phäh ni.
28 So, ought the husbands [also] to be loving their own wives, as their own bodies, —he that loveth his own wife, loveth himself,
Kpami he naw ami mäta pumsa ami kphyanaka kba ami khyue jah kphya na u se. A nghnumi kphyanakia kpami naw amät kphyanaki. (
29 No one, in fact, ever yet hated, his own flesh, but nourisheth and cherisheth it, —even as, the Christ, the assembly,
Mi mäta pumsa am hmu hlüki u am ve. Khritaw naw sangcim a bühtenga kba mi pumsa cun mcei lü mi mbeimbawki ni;
30 Because, members, are we of his body; —
Mimi cun a pumsa üng mi ngpüiki.)
31 For this cause, will a man leave his father and his mother, and will cleave unto his wife, and, they two, shall become, one flesh.
Cangcim naw, “Ahina phäha kpami naw a nu ja a pa jah hawih lü a khyu üng yümmat lü nghngih cun mata thawn khai,” tia pyenki.
32 This sacred secret, is, great, —I, however, am speaking as to Christ and [as to] the assembly; —
Ahin cun thuk lü ngthupkia ngthungtak cun Cangcim üng mdanki, acun kei naw ksing ngüse Khritaw ja sangcim am ka msuimcäpki.
33 Nevertheless, ye also, do ye, individually, each man be so loving, his own wife, as himself, and, the wife, [see] that she reverence her husband.
Nangmi naw pi ahin sumei ua: kpami naküt naw ami mäta kba a khyu kphya na lü nghnumi naküt naw pi a kpami leisawng yah khai.
