Ephesians 4
1 I exhort you, therefore, I, the prisoner in the Lord, to walk in a manner worthy of the calling wherewith ye were called: —
पस मैं जो ख़ुदावन्द में क़ैदी हूँ, तुम से गुज़ारिश करता हूँ कि जिस बुलावे से तुम बुलाए गए थे उसके मुवाफ़िक़ चाल चलो,
2 With all lowliness and meekness, with long suffering, bearing one with another in love,
या'नी कमाल दरियाई और नर्मदिल के साथ सब्र करके मुहब्बत से एक दुसरे की बर्दाश्त करो;
3 Giving diligence to keep—the oneness of the Spirit in the uniting-bond of peace, —
सुलह सलामती के बंधन में रहकर रूह की सौग़ात क़ाईम रखने की पूरी कोशिश करें
4 One body, and one spirit, even as ye were also called in one hope of your calling,
एक ही बदन है और एक ही रूह; चुनाँचे तुम्हें जो बुलाए गए थे, अपने बुलाए जाने से उम्मीद भी एक ही है।
5 One Lord, one faith, one immersion,
एक ही ख़ुदावन्द, है एक ही ईमान है, एक ही बपतिस्मा,
6 One God and Father of all—who is over all, and through all, and in all.
और सब का ख़ुदा और बाप एक ही है, जो सब के ऊपर और सब के दर्मियान और सब के अन्दर है।
7 To each one of you, however, hath favour been given, according to the measure of the free-gift of the Christ;
और हम में से हर एक पर मसीह की बाख़्शिश के अंदाज़े के मुवाफ़िक़ फ़ज़ल हुआ है।
8 Wherefore he saith—Ascending on high, he took captivity captive, [and] gave gifts unto men.
इसी वास्ते वो फ़रमाता है, “जब वो 'आलम — ए — बाला पर चढ़ा तो क़ैदियों को साथ ले गया, और आदमियों को इन'आम दिए।”
9 Now this, He ascended; what is it, —save—that he also descended into the under parts of the earth?
(उसके चढ़ने से और क्या पाया जाता है? सिवा इसके कि वो ज़मीन के नीचे के 'इलाक़े में उतरा भी था।
10 He that descended, he, it is who also ascended over-above all the heavens, that he might fill all things;
और ये उतरने वाला वही है जो सब आसमानों से भी ऊपर चढ़ गया, ताकि सब चीज़ों को मा'मूर करे)।
11 And, he, gave—some, indeed, to be apostles, and some, prophets, and some, evangelists, and some, shepherds and teachers, —
और उसी ने कुछ को रसूल, और कुछ को नबी, और कुछ को मुबश्शिर, और कुछ को चरवाहा और उस्ताद बनाकर दे दिया।
12 With a view to the fitting of the saints for the work of ministering, for an upbuilding of the body of the Christ;
ताकि मुक़द्दस लोग कामिल बनें और ख़िदमत गुज़ारी का काम किया जाए, और मसीह का बदन बढ़ जाएँ
13 Until we all advance—into the oneness of the faith, and the personal knowledge of the Son of God, into a man of full-growth, into the measure of the stature of the fulness of the Christ;
जब तक हम सब के सब ख़ुदा के बेटे के ईमान और उसकी पहचान में एक न हो जाएँ और पूरा इंसान न बनें, या'नी मसीह के पुरे क़द के अन्दाज़े तक न पहुँच जाएँ।
14 That we may, no longer, be infants—billow-tossed and shifted round with every wind of teaching, —in the craft of men, in knavery suited to the artifice of error;
ताकि हम आगे को बच्चे न रहें और आदमियों की बाज़ीगरी और मक्कारी की वजह से उनके गुमराह करनेवाले इरादों की तरफ़ हर एक ता'लीम के झोंके से मौजों की तरह उछलते बहते न फिरें
15 But, pursuing truth—may, in love, grow into him in all things, —who is the head, Christ, —
बल्कि मुहब्बत के साथ सच्चाई पर क़ाईम रहकर और उसके साथ जो सिर है, या; नी मसीह के साथ, पैवस्ता हो कर हर तरह से बढ़ते जाएँ।
16 Out of whom all the body—fitly framing itself together, and connecting itself, through means of every joint of supply, by way of energising in the measure of each single part—secureth the growing of the body, unto an upbuilding of itself in love.
जिससे सारा बदन, हर एक जोड़ की मदद से पैवस्ता होकर और गठ कर, उस तासीर के मुवाफ़िक़ जो बक़द्र — ए — हर हिस्सा होती है, अपने आप को बढ़ाता है ताकि मुहब्बत में अपनी तरक़्क़ी करता जाए।
17 This, therefore, am I saying and protesting in the Lord: —that, no longer, ye walk even as, the nations, walk—in the vanity of their minds,
इस लिए मैं ये कहता हूँ और ख़ुदावन्द में जताए देता हूँ कि जिस तरह ग़ैर — क़ौमें अपने बेहूदा ख़यालात के मुवाफ़िक़ चलती हैं, तुम आइन्दा को उस तरह न चलना।
18 Being darkened in their understanding, alienated from the life of God—by reason of the ignorance that existeth within them, by reason of their hearts being turned into stone,
क्यूँकि उनकी 'अक़्ल तारीक हो गई है, और वो उस नादानी की वजह से जो उनमें है और अपने दिलों की सख़्ती के ज़रिए ख़ुदा की ज़िन्दगी से अलग हैं।
19 Who, indeed, having become past feeling, have delivered, themselves, up, with wantonness, unto making a trade of all impurity with greed.
उन्होंने ख़ामोशी के साथ शहवत परस्ती को इख़्तियार किया, ताकि हर तरह के गन्दे काम बड़े शोक से करें।
20 Ye, however, have, not thus, learned the Christ: —
मगर तुम ने मसीह की ऐसी ता'लीम नहीं पाई।
21 If, at least, it is, him, ye have heard, and, in him, ye have been taught—even as truth is in Jesus, —
बल्कि तुम ने उस सच्चाई के मुताबिक़ जो ईसा में है, उसी की सुनी और उसमें ये ता'लीम पाई होगी।
22 That ye were to strip off—as regardeth the former behaviour—the old man, who corrupteth himself according to his deceitful covetings,
कि तुम अपने अगले चाल — चलन की पुरानी इंसान ियत को उतार डालो, जो धोखे की शहवतों की वजह से ख़राब होती जाती है
23 And were to be getting young again in the spirit of your mind,
और अपनी 'अक़्ल की रूहानी हालात में नए बनते जाओ,
24 And were to put on the man of new mould, who, after God, hath been created in his truthful righteousness and loving kindness.
और नई इंसान ियत को पहनो जो ख़ुदा के मुताबिक़ सच्चाई की रास्तबाज़ी और पाकीज़गी में पैदा की गई है।
25 Wherefore, stripping off what is false, be speaking truth each one with his neighbour, because we are members one of another;
पस झूठ बोलना छोड़ कर हर एक शख़्स अपने पड़ोसी से सच बोले, क्यूँकि हम आपस में एक दूसरे के 'बदन हैं।
26 Be ye angry, and not committing sin, let not the sun be going down upon your angry mood,
ग़ुस्सा तो करो, मगर गुनाह न करो। सूरज के डूबने तक तुम्हारी नाराज़गी न रहे,
27 Neither be giving place unto the adversary;
और इब्लीस को मौक़ा न दो।
28 Let, the stealer, no more, steal, but rather let him be toiling, —working with his hands the thing that is good, that he may have [wherewith] to be giving away to him that hath need;
चोरी करने वाला फिर चोरी न करे, बल्कि अच्छा हुनर इख़्तियार करके हाथों से मेहनत करे ताकि मुहताज को देने के लिए उसके पास कुछ हो।
29 Let, no putrid discourse, out of your mouth, be going forth, but if anything is good—suited to the needful upbuilding, —that it may give benefit unto them that hear;
कोई गन्दी बात तुम्हारे मुँह से न निकले, बल्कि वही जो ज़रूरत के मुवाफ़िक़ तरक़्क़ी के लिए अच्छी हो, ताकि उससे सुनने वालों पर फ़ज़ल हो।
30 And be not grieving the Holy Spirit of God, wherewith ye have been sealed unto a day of redemption;
और ख़ुदा के पाक रूह को ग़मगीन न करो, जिससे तुम पर रिहाई के दिन के लिए मुहर हुई।
31 All bitterness, and wrath, and anger, and outcry, and profane speaking, let it be taken away from you, with all baseness;
हर तरह की गर्म मिज़ाजी, और क़हर, और ग़ुस्सा, और शोर — ओ — ग़ुल, और बुराई, हर क़िस्म की बद ख़्वाही समेत तुम से दूर की जाएँ।
32 And be ye gracious one to another, tenderly affectionate, in favour forgiving one another—even as, God also, in Christ, hath in favour forgiven you;
और एक दूसरे पर मेहरबान और नर्मदिल हो, और जिस तरह ख़ुदा ने मसीह में तुम्हारे क़ुसूर मु'आफ़ किए हैं, तुम भी एक दूसरे के क़ुसूर मु'आफ़ करो।
