< Ecclesiastes 7 >
1 Better a name, than precious ointment, —and the day of death, than the day of one’s birth.
Magac wanaagsanu waa ka sii fiican yahay saliid qaali ah, oo maalinta dhimashaduna waa ka fiican tahay maalinta dhalashada.
2 Better to go to the house of mourning, than to go to the house of banqueting, for, that, is the end of all men, —and, the living, should take it to his heart.
In guriga diyaafadda la tago waxaa ka wanaagsan in guriga baroorashada la tago, waayo, taasaa dadka oo dhan u dambaysa, oo kuwa nooluna qalbigay taas gashan doonaan.
3 Better is grief than laughter, —for, by the marring of the face, amended is the heart.
Qosol waxaa ka wanaagsan murug, waayo, qalbigu wuxuu ku wanaagsanaadaa wejiga caloolxumadiisa.
4 The heart of the wise, is in the house of mourning, but, the heart of dullards, in the house of mirth.
Qalbiga kuwa xigmadda lahu wuxuu ku jiraa guriga baroorashada, laakiinse qalbiga nacasyadu wuxuu ku jiraa guriga farxadda.
5 Better to hear the rebuke of the wise, than for any man to hear the song of dullards,
Nin intuu nacasyada gabaygooda maqli lahaa waxaa ka wanaagsan inuu canaanta kuwa xigmadda leh maqlo.
6 For, as the crackling of thorns under a pot, so, is the laughter of the dullard, —even this, then, was vanity.
Waayo, qosolka nacasku waa sida qodxo dheri hoostiis ka jacjac leh, oo taasuna waa wax aan waxba tarayn.
7 For, oppression, maddeneth the wise, —and a bribe, destroyeth the understanding.
Hubaal dulmigu nin xigmad leh wuu waalaa, oo laaluushkuna qalbiguu ka kharribaa.
8 Better the latter end of a thing, than the beginning thereof, —Better a patient spirit, than a haughty spirit.
Wax bilowgiisa waxaa ka wanaagsan dhammaadkiisa, oo kii dulqaadasho badanuna waa ka wanaagsan yahay kii kibir badan.
9 Do not be rash in thy spirit, to be indignant, —for, indignation, in the bosom of dullards, doth remain.
Xanaaq ha ku degdegin, waayo, xanaaqu wuxuu ku jiraa laabta nacasyada.
10 Do not say, What hath happened, that, the former days, were better than these? for, not wisely, askest thou concerning this.
Ha odhan, Waayihii hore bal maxay kuwan uga fiicnaayeen? Waayo, xaalkan si caqliya u weyddiin maysid.
11 Good is wisdom, with an inheritance, —and a profit, to such as see the sun.
Xigmaddu sida dhaxal oo kale ayay u wanaagsan tahay, oo waa u faa'iido kuwa qorraxda arka.
12 For, a protection, is wisdom, and, a protection, is silver, —but, the advantage of knowledge, is, that, wisdom, giveth life to the possessors thereof.
Waayo, xigmaddu waxay wax u daafacdaa sida lacagtu wax u daafacdo oo kale, laakiinse aqoonta faa'iidadeedu waa in xigmaddu ay nabadgeliso kuwa iyada haysta.
13 Consider the work of God, —for who can straighten what he hath bent?
Bal Ilaah shuqulkiisa ka fiirso, waayo, wixii uu isagu qalloociyey bal yaa toosin kara?
14 In the day of prosperity, be joyful, but, in the day of misfortune, consider, —Even the one equally with the other, hath God made, to the end man might find out—after him—nothing.
Maalintii aad barwaaqaysan tahay aad u faraxsanow, oo maalintii aad dhibaataysan tahayna aad u fiirso in Ilaah mid u sameeyey sida kan kale si uusan ninna u ogaan karin waxa isaga dabadiis jiri doona.
15 Everything, had I seen, in my days of vanity, —Here was a righteous man, perishing in his righteousness, and there was a lawless man, continuing long in his wickedness.
Waxaa jira nin xaq ah oo xaqnimadiisa ku halligma iyo nin shar ah oo sharnimadiisa ku cimri dheeraada; labadaba wakhtigii aan waxtarka lahayn ee aan noolaa ayaan arkay.
16 Do not become so very righteous, neither count thyself wise beyond measure, —wherefore shouldst thou destroy thyself?
Aad xaq ha u noqon oo hana iska dhigin mid aad xigmad u leh, waayo, bal maxaad isu baabbi'inaysaa?
17 Do not be so very lawless, neither become thou foolish, —wherefore shouldst thou die, before thy time?
Aad sharrow ha u noqon, oo nacasna ha noqon, waayo, bal maxaad wedkaaga ka hor u dhimanaysaa?
18 It is well that thou shouldst lay fast hold of this, but, even from the other, do not withdraw thy hand, —for, he that revereth God, shall come forth out of them all.
Waxaa kuu wanaagsan inaad tan xagsatid, oo aadan gacantaadana dib uga ceshan, waayo, kii Ilaah ka cabsada waxan oo dhan ayuu ka soo bixi doonaa.
19 Wisdom, bringeth more strength to a wise man, than ten heroes, that are in the city.
Xigmaddu kan xigmadda leh way uga xoog badan tahay toban taliye oo magaalada jooga.
20 For, as for men, there is none righteous in the earth, that doeth good, and sinneth not.
Waayo, dhulka laguma arag nin xaq ah oo wanaag fala, oo aan dembaabin.
21 Moreover, not to all the words which men speak, do thou apply thy heart, —lest thou hear thine own servant reviling thee!
Wax kasta oo lagu hadlo ha dhegaysan, waaba intaasoo aad maqashaa addoonkaaga oo ku habaarayee.
22 For truly, many times, thy heart knoweth, —that, even thou thyself, hast reviled others.
Waayo, marar badan ayaa qalbigaagu og yahay inaad adba saasoo kale u habaartid kuwo kale.
23 All this, have I proved by wisdom, —I said, I will be wise, but, that, was far from me.
Waxyaalahan oo dhan xigmad baan ku tijaabiyey. Waxaan is-idhi, Xigmad baan yeelan doonaa, laakiinse xigmaddii way iga fogayd.
24 Far away, is that which hath been, —and deep, deep, who can find it out?
Waayo, bal yaa gaadhi kara wixii aad u fog ee mool dheer?
25 Resolved, I, in my heart, to know and search out, and to seek wisdom, and a conclusion, —and to know lawlessness [to be] stupidity, and folly to be madness.
Waxaan qalbigayga oo dhan u diyaariyey oo u soo jeediyey inaan ogaado, oo baadho, oo aan doondoono xigmad iyo wax kasta sababtiisa, iyo inaan ogaado in sharnimadu tahay nacasnimo, iyo in doqonnimadu tahay waalli.
26 I, could indeed find, to be, more bitter than death, the woman, whose heart is, snares and nets, and her hands, bonds, —whoso is pleasing before God, shall escape from her, but, he that sinneth, shall be captured by her.
Oo waxaan soo ogaaday wax xataa dhimashada ka sii qadhaadh, waana naag qalbigeedu yahay dabinno iyo shabagyo, oo ay gacmeheeduna yihiin jeebbooyin. Ku alla kii Ilaah ka farxiyo iyaduu ka baxsan doonaa, laakiinse dembilaha way qabsan doontaa.
27 See! this, have I found, saith the Proclaimer [counting] one by one, to find a conclusion;
Wacdiyuhu wuxuu leeyahay, Bal eega, si aan sababta u garto ayaan midba mid ku daray oo waxaasaan soo helay.
28 what my soul still sought, yet I found not, —one man out of a thousand, have I found, but, a woman among all these, have I not found.
Oo weliba waan sii doondoonayaa, laakiinse ma aan helo. Kun nin dhexdood ayaan nin qudha ka helay, laakiinse kuwaas oo dhan xataa naag qudha kama helin.
29 Only, see, this, have I found, That God made man upright, but, they, have sought out many devices.
Bal eeg, waxan keliya oo aan soo ogaaday in Ilaah binu-aadmiga sameeyey iyagoo qumman, laakiinse waxay doondooneen hindisooyin badan.
