< Ecclesiastes 2 >

1 Said, I, in my heart, Come now! I will prove thee with gladness, and look thou on blessedness, —but lo! even that, was vanity.
Namilobelaki: « Yaka sik’oyo; nakomekisa yo bilengi mpo ete ozala moto ya esengo! » Nzokande, yango mpe ezalaki kaka pamba.
2 Of laughter, I said, Madness! and, of mirth, What can it do?
Na tina na koseka, nalobaki: « Ezali na yango kaka bozoba! » Bongo na tina na elengi, nalobaki: « Esalaka nini? »
3 I sought out with my heart, to cherish with wine, my flesh, —but, my heart, was to guide with wisdom, even in laying hold of folly, until I should see which was blessedness for the sons of men, as to that which they could do, under the heavens, during the number of the days of their life.
Wana motema na ngai ezalaki nanu kokamba ngai na bwanya, nazwaki mokano ya komipesa na masanga ya vino mpe na makambo ya bozoba. Nazalaki nde na posa ya kososola bolamu nini moto akoki kozwa na kosala bongo na se ya moyi, na mwa mikolo ya bomoi na ye.
4 I enlarged my works, —I built me houses, I planted me vineyards;
Nazwaki mokano ya kosalisa misala minene: namitongelaki bandako minene mpe namilonelaki bilanga ya vino mpo na bomoi na ngai;
5 I made me gardens, and parks, —I planted in them trees of every kind of fruit;
nasalaki bilanga mpe nabongisaki bisika mpo na kolona banzete ya ndenge na ndenge, oyo ebotaka bambuma;
6 I made me pools of water, —to irrigate therefrom the thick-set saplings growing up into trees:
natimolaki mpo na ngai moko, mabulu minene ya mayi mpo na kosopela banzete ya mike mayi.
7 I acquired, men-servants and women-servants, and, the children of the household, were mine, —also possessions, herds and flocks in abundance, were mine, beyond all who had been before me in Jerusalem;
Nasombaki bawumbu ya mibali mpe ya basi; kobakisa na motango ya bawumbu mosusu oyo babotamaki kati na ndako na ngai. Nazalaki mpe na bangombe, bantaba mpe bameme ebele koleka bakonzi nyonso oyo bazalaki na Yelusalemi liboso na ngai.
8 I heaped me up, both silver and gold, and the peculiar treasure of kings, and provinces, —I provided me singing-men and singing-women, and the delights of the sons of men, a wife and wives.
Nakongolaki mpo na ngai moko palata mpe wolo oyo ewutaki na bomengo ya bakonzi mpe ya bituka; nazwaki mpo na ngai bayembi ya basi mpe ya mibali, mpe oyo esepelisaka makasi mibali: mwasi mpe basi ebele ya kitoko.
9 So I became great, and increased, more than any one who had been before me in Jerusalem, —moreover, my wisdom, remained with me;
Nakomaki moto monene koleka bakonzi nyonso oyo bazalaki na Yelusalemi liboso na ngai; kasi atako bongo, bwanya ezalaki kaka kotambolisa ngai.
10 and, nothing that mine eyes asked, withheld I from them, —I did not keep back my heart from any gladness, for, my heart, obtained gladness out of all my toil, and so, this, was my portion, out of all my toil.
Napimelaki miso na ngai eloko moko te oyo elulaki, napimelaki motema na ngai esengo moko te. Motema na ngai esepelaki na misala na ngai nyonso, mpe yango ezalaki lifuti ya mosala na ngai nyonso.
11 When, I, looked upon all my works, which my hands had made, and on my toil, whereon I had toilsomely wrought, then lo! all, was vanity, and feeding on wind, and there was no profit under the sun.
Boye, tango natali misala nyonso oyo maboko na ngai esalaki mpe pasi nyonso oyo namonaki mpo na kokokisa yango, namoni ete nyonso wana ezalaki kaka pamba, ezali lokola moto azali kolanda mopepe, ezali na yango na litomba moko te na se ya moyi.
12 Thus turned, I, to look at wisdom, and madness and folly, —for what can the man [do more] who cometh after the king? [save] that which, already, men have done.
Bongo, nabalolaki makanisi na ngai mpo na koyekola bwanya, bozoba mpe bolema. Eloko nini mokitani ya mokonzi akoki kosala, oyo eleki oyo esila kosalema?
13 Then saw, I, that wisdom doth excel folly, —as far as light excelleth darkness.
Namonaki ete bwanya ezali malamu koleka bozoba, ndenge pole ezali malamu koleka molili.
14 As for the wise man, his eyes, are in his head, whereas, the dullard, in darkness, doth walk, —but, I myself, knew that, one destiny, happeneth to them, all.
Moto ya bwanya ayebi epai azali kokende, kasi zoba atambolaka na molili; kasi nasosoli likambo moko: suka na bango mibale ekozala kaka ndenge moko.
15 Then said, I, in my heart, As it happeneth to the dullard, even to me, will it happen, but wherefore, then, became, I, wise to excess? Therefore spake I, in my heart, Even this, is vanity.
Namilobelaki: « Suka ya zoba ekozala ndenge moko kaka na suka na ngai; sik’oyo, litomba nini ezali na moto ya kozala na bwanya mingi? » Namilobelaki: « Oyo mpe ezali kaka pamba. »
16 For there is no remembrance of a wise man, more than of a dullard, unto times age-abiding, —seeing that, already, in the days to come, all hath been forgotten, how then cometh it that the wise man dieth equally with the dullard?
Pamba te ezala moto ya bwanya to zoba, bakotikala kokanisa bango tango molayi te; mpe na mikolo ekoya, bato bakobosana bango mibale. Moto ya bwanya mpe akokufa lokola moto ya zoba.
17 Therefore I hated life, for, a vexation unto me, was the work which was done under the sun, —for, all, was vanity, and a feeding on wind.
Boye, nayinaki bomoi, pamba te misala oyo esalemaka na se ya moyi ezali mabe mpo na ngai. Nyonso wana ezali pamba, ezali lokola moto azali kolanda mopepe.
18 Therefore hated, I, all my toil, wherein I was toiling, under the sun, —in that I should leave it for the man who should come after me;
Nayinaki biloko nyonso oyo namonelaki pasi na se ya moyi, pamba te nakotika yango epai ya moto oyo akoya sima na ngai.
19 and who could know whether a, wise man, he would be or a foolish, and yet he would lord it over all my toil, wherein I had toiled and wherein I had acted wisely, under the sun, —even this, was vanity.
Bongo, nani ayebi soki moto yango akozala moto ya bwanya to zoba? Nzokande, ye nde akozala na bokonzi na likolo ya misala nyonso oyo nabimiselaki motoki mpe mayele na ngai na se ya tango. Yango mpe ezali kaka pamba.
20 Then resolved I, to give my heart over to despair, —concerning all the toil, wherein I had toiled, under the sun.
Bongo, motema na ngai ekomaki kobungisa elikya likolo ya misala makasi oyo nazalaki kosala na se ya moyi.
21 For here is a man, whose toil hath been with wisdom and with knowledge and with skill, —yet, to a man who hath not toiled therein, shall he leave it as his portion, even this, was vanity and a great vexation.
Pamba te moto akoki kosala mosala na ye na bwanya, na boyebi mpe na ndenge esengeli penza; kasi akotika nyonso oyo azali na yango epai ya moto oyo amonelaki yango pasi te; yango mpe ezali pamba mpe mabe makasi.
22 For what hath the man for all his toil, and for the striving of his heart, —wherein, he himself, toiled under the sun?
Litomba nini moto akoki kozwa na misala nyonso oyo asali mpe amonelaka pasi na se ya moyi?
23 For, all his days, are pains, and, vexatious, is his employment, even in the night, his heart lieth not down, —even this, was, vanity.
Mikolo nyonso ya mosala na ye ezali kaka pasi mpe komitungisa; ezala na butu, makanisi na ye ezalaka na kimia te; oyo mpe ezali kaka pamba.
24 There was nothing more blessed for Man [than] that he should eat and drink, and see his desireth for blessedness in his toil, —even this, saw, I myself, that, from the hand of God, it was.
Eloko eleki malamu mpo na moto ezali kaka kolia, komela mpe kosepela na mosala na ye. Namoni ete oyo mpe ewuti na loboko na Nzambe;
25 For who could eat and who could enjoy, so well as I?
pamba te soki Nzambe azalaki te, nani akoki kolia mpe kosepela?
26 For, to a man who is good before him, hath he given wisdom and knowledge and gladness, —whereas, to the sinner, he hath given employment, to gather and heap up, to give to one who is good before God, even this, was vanity, and a feeding on wind.
Nzambe apesaka bwanya, mayele mpe esengo na moto oyo asepelisaka Ye; kasi apesaka mosala ya kosangisa mpe ya konduka bomengo epai ya moto oyo asalaka masumu mpo ete atika yango na maboko ya moto oyo asepelisaka Nzambe. Wana mpe ezali pamba, ezali lokola moto azali kolanda mopepe.
