< Deuteronomy 8 >
1 All the commandment which I am commanding thee to-day, shalt thou, observe, to do, —that ye may, live, and multiply, and enter in and possess the land, which Yahweh sware unto your fathers.
“Kowos in oaru in akos ma sap nukewa nga sot nu suwos misenge, tuh kowos fah ku in moul ac puseni ac utyak eis facl se su LEUM GOD El wulela kac nu sin papa matu tomowos.
2 So then, thou shalt remember all the way in which Yahweh thy God caused thee to journey these forty years in the desert, —that he might humble thee to put thee to the proof to know what was in thy heart, —whether thou wouldest keep his commandments or not.
Esam kolyuk lun LEUM GOD lowos in fufahsryesr loeloes lowos sasla yen mwesis ke yac angngaul somla. El supu ma upa in srike kowos, tuh Elan ku in etu ma oan insiowos, ac lah pwaye kowos ac akos ma sap lal.
3 So he humbled thee, and suffered thee to hunger, and fed thee with manna which thou hadst not known, neither had thy fathers known, —that he might lead thee to consider that not on bread alone, shall the son of earth live, but on whatsoever cometh from the bidding of Yahweh, shall the son of earth live.
El tuh oru kowos in masrinsral, na El kite kowos ke manna, sie mwe mongo ma kowos, ac papa matu tomowos, soenna kang meet. El oru ma inge in luti kowos lah mwet uh tia moul ke bread mukena, a ke kas nukewa ma LEUM GOD El fahk.
4 Thy mantle, hath not fallen with age from off thee, and, thy foot, hath not become swollen, —these forty years.
Ke lusen yac angngaul inge, nuknuk lowos tiana mahi, ac niowos tia pac fafwak.
5 Thou must consider, then with thy heart, —that as a man chasteneth his son, Yahweh thy God, hath been chastening thee.
Esam lah LEUM GOD lowos El aksuwosye kowos ac kai kowos, oana ke sie papa el kai tulik natul.
6 Thou shalt therefore keep the commandments of Yahweh thy God, —to walk in his ways and to revere him.
Ke ma inge, oru oana LEUM GOD El sapkin nu suwos! Moul fal nu ke ma sap lal ac arulana akfulatyal.
7 For, Yahweh thy God, is bringing thee into a good land; a land of ravines of water, of fountains and depths, coming forth in valley, and in mountain:
LEUM GOD lowos El uskowosme nu in sie facl wo — sie acn pus infacl ac unon in kof we, oayapa oasr kwakof ye fohk uh ma soror nu infahlfal uh ac infulan eol uh;
8 a land of wheat and barley, and vine and fig-tree, and pomegranate, —a land of olive oil, and honey:
sie acn ma oasr wheat, barley, grape, fig, pomegranate, olive ac honey we.
9 a land wherein not in scarcity, shalt thou eat food, thou shalt lack nothing therein, —a land whose stones are iron, and out of whose hills thou mayest hew copper.
Kowos ac tiana masrinsral we, ku enenu kutena ma. Eot we uh oasr iron loac, ac kowos ku in pukanak copper ke eol srisrik we.
10 So then thou shalt eat and be satisfied, —and bless Yahweh thy God, for the good land which he hath given unto thee.
Ac fah pukanten mwe mongo nowos, ac kowos fah sang kulo nu sin LEUM GOD lowos ke facl na wowo El sot nu suwos.
11 Take heed to thyself, lest thou forget Yahweh thy God, —so as not to keep his commandments and his regulations and his statutes, which I am commanding thee to-day;
“Kowos in arulana karinganang tuh kowos in tia mulkunla LEUM GOD lowos; a kowos in arulana akos ma sap ac oakwuk nukewa lal su nga sot nu suwos misenge.
12 lest thou eat, and be satisfied, —and goodly houses, thou build and inhabit;
Ke pacl se pukanten mwe mongo nowos, ac kowos musaela lohm wowo suwos ac muta loac,
13 and thy herd and thy flock, increase, and silver and gold, increase unto thee, —and all that thou hast, increase;
ac ke puseni cow ac sheep nutuwos, silver ac gold lowos, ac kutepacna ma saya lowos,
14 and so thy heart be lifted up, —and thou forget Yahweh thy God, who brought thee forth out of the land of Egypt out of the house of servants;
taranna tuh kowos in tia inse fulatak ac mulkunla LEUM GOD lowos su uskowosme liki Egypt, acn se ma kowos tuh mwet kohs we.
15 who caused thee to journey through the great and terrible desert, of fiery serpents and scorpions, and thirsty wastes where was no water, —who brought forth for thee water out of the flinty rock;
El pwen kowos sasla yen mwesis lulap ac aksangeng sac, yen oasr wet pwasin ac scorpion we. El oru kof in sororma liki sie eot wen nu suwos in acn pulamlam ac wangin kof we.
16 who fed thee with manna in the desert, which thy fathers had not known, —that he might humble thee, and that he might put thee to the proof, to do thee good in thy hereafter,
In acn mwesis uh El kite kowos ke manna, sie mwe mongo ma papa matu tomowos uh tiana kang meet. El oru in upa nu suwos in srike kowos, tuh Elan ku in akinsewowoye kowos tok ke ma wo.
17 and lest thou shouldest say in thy heart, —Mine own strength and the might of mine own hand, have gotten me this wealth.
Ouinge, kowos in tiana nunku mu kasrup lowos uh ma ke ku ac etauk lowos sifacna.
18 But thou shalt remember Yahweh thy God, that it was, he, who had been giving thee strength to get wealth, —that so he might establish his covenant which he sware to thy fathers (as at this day).
Esam lah LEUM GOD lowos pa sot ku nu suwos in kasrupi. El oru ouinge mweyen El srakna karingin wulela lal nwe misenge ma El orala yurin papa matu tomowos.
19 But it shall be if thou forget, Yahweh thy God, and go after ether gods, and serve them, and bow thyself down to them, I testify against you to-day, that ye shall perish:
Kowos in tiana mulkunla LEUM GOD lowos, ku forla nu sin god ngia in alu ac orekma nu selos. Kowos fin oru ouinge, na nga fahk nu suwos misenge lah pwayena kowos ac kunausyukla.
20 like the nations which, Yahweh, is causing to perish from before you, so, shall ye perish, because ye would not hearken unto the voice of Yahweh your God.
Kowos fin tia akos LEUM GOD, na kowos ac kunausyukla, oana mutunfacl ingo su El ac kunausla meet liki na kowos ilyak nu in facl selos.
