< Deuteronomy 8 >

1 All the commandment which I am commanding thee to-day, shalt thou, observe, to do, —that ye may, live, and multiply, and enter in and possess the land, which Yahweh sware unto your fathers.
Masapul a salimetmetanyo dagiti amin a bilbilin nga it-itedko kadakayo ita, tapno agbiag ken umadukayo, ken serrekenyo ket tagikua-enyo ti daga nga insapata ni Yahweh kadagiti ammayo.
2 So then, thou shalt remember all the way in which Yahweh thy God caused thee to journey these forty years in the desert, —that he might humble thee to put thee to the proof to know what was in thy heart, —whether thou wouldest keep his commandments or not.
Lagipenyo amin dagiti wagas a panangidalan kadakayo ni Yahweh a Diosyo iti uppat a pulo a tawen idiay let-ang, tapno pagpakumbabaennakayo, a masuonakayo tapno maammoanna ti adda iti pusoyo, no salimetmetanyo man dagiti bilbilinna wenno saan.
3 So he humbled thee, and suffered thee to hunger, and fed thee with manna which thou hadst not known, neither had thy fathers known, —that he might lead thee to consider that not on bread alone, shall the son of earth live, but on whatsoever cometh from the bidding of Yahweh, shall the son of earth live.
Pinagpakumbaba ken pinagbisinnakayo ket pinakannakayo iti mana, a saanyo pay idi nga ammo, wenno naammoan dagiti kapuonam wenno dagiti ammayo. Inaramidna dagitoy tapno maammoanyo a saan laeng a babaen iti tinapay nga agbiag dagiti tattao, ngem ketdi, babaen kadagiti amin a banbanag a rumuar iti ngiwat ni Yahweh nga agbiag dagiti tattao.
4 Thy mantle, hath not fallen with age from off thee, and, thy foot, hath not become swollen, —these forty years.
Saan a dimmaan dagiti kawesyo kadakayo, ken saan a limteg dagiti sakayo bayat dagitoy uppat a pulo a tawen.
5 Thou must consider, then with thy heart, —that as a man chasteneth his son, Yahweh thy God, hath been chastening thee.
Panunotenyo iti pusoyo, no kasano a palintegen ti maysa a tao ti anakna, kasta met ti panangpalinteg ni Yahweh a Diosyo kadakayo.
6 Thou shalt therefore keep the commandments of Yahweh thy God, —to walk in his ways and to revere him.
Salimetmetanyo dagiti bilbilin ni Yahweh a Diosyo, tapno mabalin a magnakayo kadagiti dalanna ket agdayawkayo kenkuana.
7 For, Yahweh thy God, is bringing thee into a good land; a land of ravines of water, of fountains and depths, coming forth in valley, and in mountain:
Ta ip-ipannakayo ni Yahweh a Diosyo iti nasayaat a daga, daga dagiti waig ti danum, dagiti burayok ken ubbog, nga agay-ayus kadagiti tanap ken turod;
8 a land of wheat and barley, and vine and fig-tree, and pomegranate, —a land of olive oil, and honey:
daga ti trigo ken sebada, dagiti ubas, dagiti kayo nga igos, ken dagiti granada; daga dagiti kayo nga olibo ken diro.
9 a land wherein not in scarcity, shalt thou eat food, thou shalt lack nothing therein, —a land whose stones are iron, and out of whose hills thou mayest hew copper.
Daga daytoy a pangananyo iti tinapay a saan nga agkurang, ken saanyo a papanan nga awanan iti aniaman a banag; daga a dagiti batona ket naaramid iti landok, ken makakalikayo iti gambang kadagiti turodna.
10 So then thou shalt eat and be satisfied, —and bless Yahweh thy God, for the good land which he hath given unto thee.
Mangankayo ket mabsugkayo, ket dayawenyo ni Yahweh a Diosyo gapu iti nasayaat a daga nga intedna kadakayo.
11 Take heed to thyself, lest thou forget Yahweh thy God, —so as not to keep his commandments and his regulations and his statutes, which I am commanding thee to-day;
Agannadkayo ta saanyo a malipatan ni Yahweh a Diosyo, ken saanyo a baybay-an dagiti bilbilinna, dagiti lintegna, ken dagiti alagadenna nga ibilbilinko kadakayo ita.
12 lest thou eat, and be satisfied, —and goodly houses, thou build and inhabit;
Tapno saanto a mapasamak nga, inton mangan ket mabsugkayo, ken inton agipatakderkayo kadagiti nasayaat a balbalay ken agnaedkayo kadagitoy,
13 and thy herd and thy flock, increase, and silver and gold, increase unto thee, —and all that thou hast, increase;
ken no umadunto dagiti baka ken arbanyo, ken no umadu dagiti pirak ken balitokyo, ken no immadu amin nga adda kadakayo—
14 and so thy heart be lifted up, —and thou forget Yahweh thy God, who brought thee forth out of the land of Egypt out of the house of servants;
nga iti dayta ket amangan no maipangatonto ti pusoyo, ken malipatanyo ni Yahweh a Diosyo, a nangiruar kadakayo manipud iti daga ti Egipto, manipud iti balay ti pannakaibalud.
15 who caused thee to journey through the great and terrible desert, of fiery serpents and scorpions, and thirsty wastes where was no water, —who brought forth for thee water out of the flinty rock;
Amangan no malipatanyo isuna a nangidalan kadakayo iti nalawa ken nakaam-amak a let-ang, nga ayan dagiti umap-apuy nga uleg ken manggagama, ken iti mawaw a daga nga awan ti danum; ni Yahweh, a nangparuar iti danum manipud iti bato para kadakayo;
16 who fed thee with manna in the desert, which thy fathers had not known, —that he might humble thee, and that he might put thee to the proof, to do thee good in thy hereafter,
ni Yahweh a nangpakan kadakayo iti mana idiay let-ang a saan a naammoan dagiti kapuonanyo, tapno pagpakumbabaennakayo, ken tapno suotennakayo, tapno agaramid iti nasayaat kadakayo iti kamaudianan;
17 and lest thou shouldest say in thy heart, —Mine own strength and the might of mine own hand, have gotten me this wealth.
ta no saan, mabalin a kunayo iti pusoyo, 'Ti pannakabalinko ken bileg ti imak ti nangpaadda amin kadagitoy a kinabaknang.'
18 But thou shalt remember Yahweh thy God, that it was, he, who had been giving thee strength to get wealth, —that so he might establish his covenant which he sware to thy fathers (as at this day).
Ngem lagipenyo ni Yahweh a Diosyo, ta isuna ti nangted kadakayo iti pannakabalin tapno bumaknang; tapno maipasdekna ti tulagna nga insapatana kadagiti ammayo, a kas ita.
19 But it shall be if thou forget, Yahweh thy God, and go after ether gods, and serve them, and bow thyself down to them, I testify against you to-day, that ye shall perish:
Mapasamakto a, no malipatanyo ni Yahweh a Diosyo ket makipagnakayo kadagiti sabali a dios, agdayaw ken agraemkayo kadakuada, agsaksiak maibusor kadakayo ita nga awan duadua a mapukawkayo.
20 like the nations which, Yahweh, is causing to perish from before you, so, shall ye perish, because ye would not hearken unto the voice of Yahweh your God.
Kasla iti panangpukaw ni Yahweh kadagiti nasion iti sangoananyo, kasta met ti pannakapukawyo, gapu ta saankayo a dimngeg iti timek ni Yahweh a Diosyo.
