Deuteronomy 33

1 Now, this, is the blessing wherewith Moses, the man of God, blessed the sons of Israel, —before his death.

Şi aceasta este binecuvântarea, cu care a binecuvântat Moise, omul lui Dumnezeu, pe copiii lui Israel înaintea morţii sale.

2 And he said—Yahweh from Sinai, came near, —Yea he dawned, out of Seir, upon them, He shone forth out of Mount Paran, Yea he came out of holy myriads, —Out of his right hand [proceeded] fire to guide them.

Şi a spus: DOMNUL a venit din Sinai şi le-a răsărit din Seir; el a strălucit din muntele Paran şi a venit cu zecile de mii de sfinţi, de la dreapta lui ieşea o lege de foc pentru ei.

3 Yea he loved the tribes, All his holy ones, were in thy hand, —Yea, they, were encamped at thy feet, Each one bare away some of thy words.

Da, el a iubit poporul; toţi sfinţii săi sunt în mâna ta, şi ei au şezut la picioarele tale; fiecare va primi din cuvintele tale.

4 A law, did Moses command us, —A possession, for the convocation of Jacob.

Moise ne-a poruncit o lege, moştenirea adunării lui Iacob.

5 Thus became he in, Jeshurun, a king, —When the heads of the people gathered them-selves together, As one man, the tribes of Israel. [Reuben] —

Şi el era împărat în Ieşurun, când s-au adunat capii poporului şi triburile lui Israel.

6 Let Reuben live and not die, —Nor his men be easily counted.

Trăiască Ruben şi să nu moară şi bărbaţii săi să nu fie puţini.

7 And, this, is for Judah, when he said, Hear, O Yahweh, the voice of Judah, That unto his own people, thou wouldst bring him home, —Let, his own hands, suffice him, And, a helper from his adversaries, do thou become.

Şi aceasta este binecuvântarea despre Iuda şi el a spus: Ascultă Doamne vocea lui Iuda şi adu-l la poporul său, mâinile sale să îi fie suficiente şi să îi fii un ajutor împotriva duşmanilor.

8 And of Levi, he said: Let, thy perfections and thy lights, belong unto thy man of lovingkindness, —Whom thou didst put to the proof at Massah, With whom thou didst contend over the waters of Meribah;

Şi despre Levi a spus: Tumim al tău şi Urim al tău să fie cu cel sfânt al tău, pe care l-ai încercat la Masa, cu care te-ai certat la apele din Meriba;

9 Who saith of his father and of his mother, I behold them not, And, his own brethren, regardeth he not, And, his own sons, observeth he not, —Because they watch thy speech, That, thy covenant, they may preserve;

El care a spus tatălui său şi mamei sale: Nu l-am văzut, nici nu a recunoscut pe fraţii săi, nici nu şi-a cunoscut proprii copii, pentru că au păzit cuvântul tău şi au ţinut legământul tău.

10 May teach thy regulations unto Jacob, And thy law unto Israel, —May put incense in thy nostrils, And a whole-offering upon thine altar.

Ei vor învăţa pe Iacob judecăţile tale şi pe Israel legea ta, vor pune tămâie înaintea ta şi ofrandă arsă în întregime pe altarul tău.

11 Bless, O Yahweh his substance, And with the work of his hands, wilt thou be well pleased, —Crush thou the loins of them who rise up against him, And of them who hate him, that they rise not again.

Binecuvântează, DOAMNE, averea lui şi primeşte lucrarea mâinilor lui, zdrobeşte coapsele celor care se ridică împotriva lui şi ale celor care îl urăsc, ca să nu se ridice din nou.

12 Of Benjamin, he said, The beloved of Yahweh, shall settle down securely, —With one to throw a shade over him all the day long, Yea, between his shoulders, hath he found rest.

Despre Beniamin a spus: Iubitul DOMNULUI va locui în siguranţă lângă el; DOMNUL îl va acoperi toată ziua, iar el va locui între umerii săi.

13 And of Joseph, he said, Blessed of Yahweh, be his land, —With the precious things of the heavens with the dew, And with the abyss, couching beneath;

Şi despre Iosif a spus: Binecuvântată fie de DOMNUL ţara lui, cu lucrurile preţioase ale cerului, cu rouă şi cu adâncul care se odihneşte jos,

14 And with the precious fruits of the sun, —And with the precious yield of the moons;

Şi cu roadele preţioase aduse de soare şi cu lucrurile preţioase date de lună,

15 And with the chief of the ancient mountains, —And with the precious things of the age-abiding hills;

Şi cu lucrurile de seamă ale munţilor străvechi şi cu lucrurile preţioase ale dealurilor veşnice,

16 And with the precious things of the earth and its fulness, And with the goodwill of One who dwelt in a thorn-bush.—Let it come on the head of Joseph, And on the crown of the head of him who was consecrated among his brethren.

Şi cu lucrurile preţioase ale pământului şi ale plinătăţii lui şi cu bunăvoinţa celui care locuia în rug, să vină binecuvântarea peste capul lui Iosif şi peste creştetul capului celui separat de fraţii săi.

17 His firstborn ox, be an honour to him. And the horns of a buffalo, be his horns, With them, let him thrust, peoples, All at once, to the ends of the earth, —Yea, [with] these, the myriads of Ephraim, And, [with] those, the thousands of Manasseh.

Gloria lui este ca întâiul născut al taurului său şi coarnele lui sunt coarnele unicornilor, cu ele va împunge laolaltă popoarele până la marginile pământului, şi ei sunt zecile de mii ale lui Efraim şi ei sunt miile lui Manase.

18 And, of Zebulun, he said, Rejoice, Zebulun in thy going out, —And [thou], Issachar in thy tents:

Şi despre Zabulon a spus: Bucură-te, Zabulon, în ieşirea ta; şi tu, Isahar, în corturile tale.

19 The peoples, unto the mountain, will they call, There, will they offer the sacrifices of righteousness, —For, the abundance of the seas, will they suck, Hidden treasures of the sand.

Ei vor chema popoarele la munte; acolo vor aduce ofrande ale dreptăţii, pentru că vor suge din abundenţa mărilor şi din tezaurele ascunse în nisip.

20 And, of Gad, he said: Blessed, be he that hath made room for Gad, —As a lioness, hath he laid himself down, And hath torn an arm likewise the crown of the head;

Şi despre Gad a spus: Binecuvântat fie cel care lărgeşte pe Gad, el locuieşte ca un leu şi sfâşie braţul cu coroana capului.

21 And hath provided a first part for himself, For, there, a commander’s portion hath been hid, —So he cometh with the heads of the people, The righteousness of Yahweh, he executeth, And his regulations, with Israel.

El şi-a luat cea mai bună parte, pentru că acolo, într-o parte a legiuitorului, a fost Gad aşezat; şi a venit cu capii poporului, a făcut dreptatea DOMNULUI şi judecăţile lui cu Israel.

22 And, of Dan, he said, Dan, is a lion’s whelp, —He leapeth out of Bashan.

Şi despre Dan a spus: Dan este un pui de leu, el va sări din Basan.

23 And, of Naphtali, he said, O Naphtali! satisfied with favour, And full with the blessing of Yahweh, —The west and the sunny south, do thou possess.

Şi despre Neftali a spus: Neftali, sătul de favoare şi plin de binecuvântarea DOMNULUI, să stăpâneşti vestul şi sudul.

24 And, of Asher, he said, Most blessed of sons, be Asher, —Let him have the goodwill of his brethren, And let him dip, in oil, his foot:

Şi despre Aşer a spus: Binecuvântat fie Aşer cu copii; să fie bine primit fraţilor săi şi să îşi înmoaie piciorul în untdelemn.

25 Iron and bronze, be thy sandals, And, as thy days, be thy strength.

Sandalele tale vor fi fier şi aramă, şi tăria ta ca zilele tale.

26 There is none like GOD, O Jeshurun, —Riding upon the heavens to thy help, —And for his own majesty, on the skies;

Nimeni nu este ca Dumnezeul lui Ieşurun, care călăreşte pe cer în ajutorul tău şi în cer în măreţia sa.

27 Above, is the God of aforetime, And, beneath, are the Arms of the ages, —So he driveth before thee the foe, And doth say—Destroy!

Dumnezeul cel etern este scăparea ta şi dedesubt sunt braţele cele veşnice, şi el va alunga pe duşman dinaintea ta; şi va spune: Nimiceşte-i.

28 Thus hath Israel settled down securely, Alone, the fountain of Jacob, Within a land both of corn and new wine, —His heaven also droppeth down dew.

Atunci Israel va locui singur în siguranţă, fântâna lui Iacob va fi într-o ţară de grâne şi de vin, de asemenea, cerurile sale vor picura rouă.

29 How happy art thou, O Israel! Who is like unto thee, O people victorious in Yahweh? Thy helpful shield, who also is thy majestic sword, —So that thy foes come cringing unto thee, And, thou, upon their heights, dost march along.

Fericit eşti tu, Israele, cine este ca tine, O tu popor salvat de DOMNUL, scutul ajutorului tău şi cine este sabia măreţiei tale! Şi duşmanii tăi vor fi găsiţi mincinoşi înaintea ta; şi vei călca peste înălţimile lor.
