Deuteronomy 31

1 And Moses went, and spake these words unto all Israel;

Miadto si Moises ug gisugilon kini nga mga pulong ngadto sa katawhan sa Israel.

2 and said unto them—A hundred and twenty years old, am I to-day, I can no more go out and come in, —Yahweh indeed hath said unto me, Thou shall not pass over this Jordan.

Miingon siya kanila, “120 na ka tuig ang akong pangidaron karon; dili na ako makagawas ug makasulod; Miingon si Yahweh kanako, 'Dili ka makatabok niining Jordan'.

3 Yahweh thy God, is passing over before thee, he, will destroy these nations from before thee so shalt thou dispossess them, —Joshua is passing over before thee, as Yahweh hath spoken.

Si Yahweh nga imong Dios, siya mao ang mag-una kanimo; pagalaglagon niya kining kanasoran gikan sa imong atubangan, ug paga-ilogan mo sila. Si Josue, mao ang magalakaw una kanimo, sumala sa gisulti ni Yahweh.

4 So will Yahweh do unto them as he did unto Sihon and unto Og, kings of the Amorites, and unto the land of them whom he destroyed.

Pagabuhaton ni Yahweh kanila ang gibuhat niya kang Sihon ug kang Og, ang mga hari sa mga Amorihanon, ug sa ilang kayutaan, nga iyang gipanglaglag.

5 So will Yahweh deliver them up before you, —and ye shall do unto them—according to all the commandment which I have commanded you.

Hatagan ka ni Yahweh sa kadaogan batok kanila sa dihang magtagbo kamo sa panggubatan, ug pagabuhaton mo kanila ang tanang gisugo ko kanimo.

6 Be firm and bold, do not fear nor tremble because of them, —for Yahweh thy God, it is who is going with thee, he will not fail thee nor forsake thee.

Magmalig-on ka ug magmaisugon, ayaw kalisang, ug ayaw kahadlok kanila; kay si Yahweh nga imong Dios, magauban kanimo; dili ka niya pakyason ni isalikway.”

7 And Moses called for Joshua, and said unto him, in the sight of all Israel. Be firm and bold, for, thou, shalt go with this people into the land which Yahweh sware unto their fathers to give unto them, and, thou shalt cause them to inherit it.

Gitawag ni Moises si Josue ug miingon kaniya atubangan sa tibuok katawhan sa Israel, 'Magmalig-on ug magmaisugon ka, kay ikaw ang mouban niining katawhan paingon sa yuta nga gipanumpa ni Yahweh nga ihatag sa ilang mga katigulangan; tabangan mo sila aron mapanunod kini.

8 But, Yahweh, it is who is going before thee, he will be with thee, he will not fail thee nor forsake thee, —thou must not fear nor be dismayed.

Si Yahweh, mao ang maga-una kanimo; magauban siya kanimo; dili ka niya pasagdan ni biyaan; ayaw kahadlok, ug ayaw kawala sa paglaom.”

9 And Moses wrote this law, and delivered it unto the priests the sons of Levi, who were bearing the ark of the covenant of Yahweh, —and unto all the elders of Israel.

Gisulat ni Moises kini nga balaod ug gihatag kini sa mga pari, ang mga anak ni Levi, nga maoy nagdala sa arka sa kasabotan ni Yahweh; gihatagan usab niya niini ang tanang kadagkoan sa Israel.

10 And Moses commanded them, saying, —At the end of seven years in the appointed season of the year of release, during the festival of booths;

Gisugo sila ni Moises ug miingon, “Sa kataposan sa matag pito ka tuig, sa kasaulogan sa pagpapas sa mga utang, sa Kasaulogan sa Kabalayan,

11 when all Israel cometh in to see the face of Yahweh thy God, in the place which he shall choose, thou shalt read this law before all Israel, in their hearing.

sa pagduol sa tibuok Israel aron sa pagpangatubang kang Yahweh nga imong Dios sa dapit nga iyang pagapilion alang sa iyang pinuy-anan, pagabasahon mo kini nga balaod atubangan sa tibuok katawhan sa Israel aron ilang madungog.

12 Call together the people—the men and the women and the little ones, and thy sojourner who is within thy gates, —that they may hear, and that they may learn, so shall they revere Yahweh your God, and observe to do all the words of this law;

Tigoma ang katawhan, ang mga lalaki, ang mga babaye, ug ang mga gagmay nga bata, ug ang mga langyaw nga uban kanimo sa sulod sa ganghaan sa imong siyudad, aron nga makadungog sila ug makakat-on, ug mapasidunggan nila si Yahweh nga imong Dios ug motuman sa tanang pulong niini nga balaod.

13 and that their children who know not, may hear and learn, that they may revere Yahweh your God, —all the days that ye are living upon the soil, which ye are passing over the Jordan to possess.

Buhata kini aron nga ang ilang kaanakan, nga wala pa masayod, makadungog ug makakat-on sa pagpasidungog kang Yahweh nga imong Dios, hangtod magpuyo ka sa yuta nga imong pagaadtoan tabok sa Jordan aron panag-iyahon.”

14 Then said Yahweh unto Moses: Lo! thy days have drawn near that thou must die. Call Joshua and station yourselves in the tent of meeting, that I may command him. So Moses went, with Joshua, and they took their station in the tent of meeting.

Miingon si Yahweh kang Moises, “Tan-awa, nagkaduol na ang takna nga ikaw mamatay; tawaga si Josue ug pag-adto kamo sa tolda sa tigomanan, aron mahatag ko kaniya ang sugo.” Miadto si Moises ug si Josue ug nagpakita sila didto sa tolda sa tigomanan.

15 And Yahweh appeared in the tent, in a pillar of cloud, —and the pillar of cloud stood, at the entrance of the tent.

Mitungha si Yahweh didto sa tolda pinaagi sa haligi nga panganod; ang haligi nga panganod nagpahiluna ibabaw sa pultahan sa tolda.

16 Then said Yahweh unto Moses, Lo! thou art about to sleep with thy fathers, —and this people will rise up, and go away unchastely after the gods of the foreigners of the land into the midst of whom they are entering, and will forsake me and break my covenant which I solemnised with them.

Miingon si Yahweh kang Moises, “Tan-awa, matulog ka uban sa imong mga amahan; kining katawhan motindog ug mamuhat sama sa babaying gabaligya ug dungog nga mosunod sa laing mga dios didto sa yuta nga ilang pagaadtoan. Pagabiyaan nila ako ug bungkagon ang akong kasabotan nga akong gihimo tali kanila.

17 Then will mine anger kindle upon them in that day, and I will forsake them and will hide my face from them and they shall be consumed, and many calamities and misfortunes shall find them out, —and they will say, in that day, Is it not because my God is not in my midst, that these calamities have found me out?

Unya, nianang adlawa, mosilaob ang akong kasuko batok kanila, ug isalikway ko sila. Pagatagoan ko ang akong panagway gikan kanila, ug pagaut-uton sila. Daghang mga katalagman ug mga kagul-anan ang makakaplag kanila, busa moingon sila nianang adlawa, 'Nakaplagan ba kanako kining mga katalagman tungod kay ang atong Dios wala na sa akong taliwala?'

18 But, I, will utterly, hide, my face, in that day, because of all the wickedness which they have done, in that they have turned away unto other gods.

Pagatagoan ko gayod gikan niini ang akong panagway nianang adlawa tungod sa tanang daotan nga pagabuhaton niini, tungod kay milingi sila sa laing mga dios.

19 Now, therefore write ye for you this Song, and teach it unto the sons of Israel put it in their mouths, —that this Song may become for me a witness against the sons of Israel.

Busa karon isulat kini nga alawiton alang kanimo ug itudlo kini ngadto sa katawhan sa Israel. Ibutang kini sa ilang mga baba, aron nga kini nga alawiton mamahimong saksi alang kanako batok sa katawhan sa Israel.

20 When I bring them upon the soil which I sware unto their fathers, flowing with milk and honey, and they shall eat and be filled and wax fat, then will they turn away unto other gods and serve them, and despise me, and break my covenant.

Kay sa dihang pagadad-on ko na siya sa yuta nga akong gipanumpa nga ihatag sa iyang mga katigulangan, sa yuta nga nagdagayday sa gatas ug dugos, ug sa dihang makakaon na siya ug mabusog ug manambok, unya molingi siya sa laing mga dios ug moalagad siya kanila; pagatamayon niya ako ug supakon ang akong kasabotan.

21 And it shall come to pass, when many calamities and misfortunes shall find them out, then shall this Song respond to their face, as a witness, for it shall not be forgotten out of the mouth of their seed, for I know their imagination, which they are forming to-day, ere yet I bring them into the land of which I sware unto their fathers.

Sa dihang moabot sa katawhan ang daghang mga kadaotan ug kagul-anan, magpamatuod kini nga alawiton ingon nga saksi; kay dili kini mahikalimtan gikan sa baba sa ilang mga kaliwatan; kay nasayod na ako sa mga laraw nga ilang gihunahuna karong adlawa, bisan sa wala ko pa sila gidala sa yuta nga akong gipanumpa.”

22 Moses therefore wrote this Song on that day, —and taught it unto the sons of Israel.

Busa gisulat ni Moises kini nga alawiton niadto gayong adlawa ug gitudlo kini sa katawhan sa Israel.

23 And he commanded Joshua, son of Nun, and said—Be firm and bold, for, thou shalt bring the sons of Israel into the land which I have sworn to them, —and, I, will be with thee.

Mihatag si Yahweh ug sugo kang Josue nga anak ni Nun ug miingon, “Magmalig-on ug magmaisugon ka; kay ikaw ang magdala sa katawhan sa Israel ngadto sa yuta nga akong gipanumpa kanila, ug magauban ako kanimo.”

24 And it came to pass, when Moses had made an end of writing the words of this law, upon a scroll, —until he had finished them,

Nahitabo kini sa pagkahuman ni Moises pagsulat sa mga pulong niini nga balaod sa usa ka basahon,

25 then Moses commanded the Levites, who were bearing the ark of the covenant of Yahweh, saying:

nga mihatag siya ug sugo sa mga Levita nga nagdala sa arka sa kasabotan ni Yahweh; miingon siya,

26 Take this scroll of the law, and put it at the side of the ark of the covenant of Yahweh your God, —so shall it be there in thy midst as a witness.

“Kuhaa kining basahon sa balaod ug ibutang kini sa kiliran sa arka sa kasabotan ni Yahweh nga inyong Dios, aron nga maanaa kini didto ingon nga saksi batok kanimo.

27 For, I, know thy perverseness, and thy stiff neck, —lo! while I am yet alive with you to-day, ye are, quarrelling, with Yahweh, and how much more after my death?

Kay nasayod ako sa imong pagkamasupilon ug kagahi sa imong ulo; tan-awa, bisan gani buhi pa ako karon, nagmasinupakon ka na batok kang Yahweh; unsa nalang kaha kung patay na ako?

28 Call together unto me all the elders of your tribes and your officers, —and let me speak in their hearing these words, and let me take to witness against them the heavens and the earth.

Tigoma alang kanako ang tanang kadagkoan sa imong mga tribo, ug ang imong mga opisyalis, aron masulti ko kining mga pulong sa ilang mga igdulungog ug tawgon ang langit ug ang yuta aron sa pagsaksi batok kanila.

29 For I know that after my death, ye will break faith, and turn aside out of the way which I have commanded you, —and calamity will befall you in the afterpart of the days, because ye will do the thing that is wicked in the eyes of Yahweh, to provoke him with the work of your own hands.

Kay nasayod ako nga human sa akong kamatayon maghugawhugaw gayod ka sa imong kaugalingon ug mosimang sa dalan nga akong gisugo kanimo; moabot kanimo ang mga katalagman sa mosunod nga mga adlaw. Mahitabo kini tungod kay buhaton mo ang daotan sa panan-aw ni Yahweh, sa pagpasuko kaniya pinaagi sa buhat sa imong mga kamot.”

30 So Moses spake in the hearing of all the convocation of Israel the words of this Song, until they were ended: —

Gisaysay ni Moises sa igdulungog sa tanang nagkatigom nga katawhan sa Israel ang mga pulong niini nga alawiton hangtod nga nahuman sila.
