< Deuteronomy 3 >

1 Then turned we and went up, the way of Bashan; and Og king of Bashan, came out to meet us, he, and all his people, to give battle at Edrei.
Bashan longpuei la n'hooi uh tih n'caeh uh vaengah khaw Bashan manghai Oga neh a pilnam pum loh caemtloek neh mamih doe ham Edrei ah ha pawk.
2 And Yahweh said unto me: Do not fear him, for into thy hand, have I delivered him and all his people and his land, —so then thou shalt do unto him, as thou didst unto Sihon king of the Amorites who was dwelling in Heshbon.
Te vaengah BOEIPA loh kai te, 'Anih neh a pilnam pum khaw, a khohmuen khaw, na kut ah kam paek coeng. Anih te rhih boeh. Heshbon ah aka ngol Amori manghai Sihon taengkah na saii bangla anih taengah saii,’ a ti.
3 Then did Yahweh our God deliver into our hand, Og also, king of Bashan and all his people, —so we smote him until there was not left remaining to him a survivor.
Bashan manghai Oga neh a pilnam boeih te khaw mamih kut dongah mamih kah Pathen BOEIPA loh m'paek van coeng dongah rhaengnaeng a om pawt hil anih te n'tloek uh.
4 And we captured all his cities, at that time, there was no fortress which we took not from them, —sixty cities all the region of Argob, the kingdom of Og in Bashan.
Te vaeng tue ah a khopuei rhoek boeih te n'buem uh tih amih taeng lamloh n'loh mueh khorha pakhat khaw om pawh. Bashan ah Oga ram Argob paeng boeih he khopuei sawmrhuk lo.
5 All these, were fortified cities each with a high wall, folding gates and a bar, —besides country towns exceeding many.
Tekah khopuei boeih kah vongtung tah cak tih thohkhaih neh thohkalh khaw sang. Khopuei khat bueng lamloh vangcahlang khaw muep ping.
6 And we devoted them to destruction, doing unto them as we did unto Sihon king of Heshbon, —devoting to destruction every city of males, the women, and the little ones.
Heshbon manghai Sihon taengkah n'saii uh bangla amih te khaw n'thup uh tih khopuei takuem kah huta tongpa neh camoe khaw n'thup uh.
7 But all the cattle, and the spoil of the cities, made we our prey.
Tedae rhamsa boeih neh khopuei rhoek kah kutbuem te tah mamih ham ni m'poelyoe uh.
8 Thus did we at that time take the land out of the hand of the two kings of the Amorites (which was over the Jordan), —from the ravine of Arnon as far as Mount Hermon.
Te vaengah Jordan rhalvang Arnon soklong lamkah Hermon tlang duela aka om Amori manghai rhoi kut lamkah khohmuen te n'loh uh.
9 Sidonians, call Hermon Sirion, —but, the Amorites, call it Senir.
Hermon te Sidoni rhoek loh Sirion a ti uh tih Amori rhoek loh Senir a ti uh.
10 All the cities of the table-land, and all Gilead, and all Bashan, —unto Salecah, and Edrei, —cities of the kingdom of Og, in Bashan.
Tlangkol khopuei rhoek boeih neh Gilead boeih khaw, Bashan boeih Salkhah due khaw, Bashan ah Oga ram khopuei rhoek khuikah Edrei khaw n'lohuh.
11 For, only Og, king of Bashan was left remaining of the remnant of the giants, lo! his bedstead, was a bedstead of iron, is not, the same, in Rabbath of the sons of Ammon? nine cubits, the length thereof and four cubits, the breadth thereof, by the fore-arm of a man.
12 And this land, took we in possession at that time, —from Aroer which is by the ravine of Arnon, and half the hill-country of Gilead and the cities thereof, gave I unto the Reubenites and unto the Gadites;
Te vaeng tue kah khohmuen m'pang te Arnon soklong kah Aroer neh Gilead tlang a rhakthuem neh khopuei rhoek te Reuben koca neh Gad koca taengah ka paek coeng.
13 but the remainder of Gilead, and all Bashan the kingdom of Og, gave I unto the half tribe of Manasseh, —all the region of the Argob with all Bashan. The same, is called, A land of giants.
Gilead kah a coih neh Oga ram Bashan pum te Manasseh koca rhakthuem taengah ka paek coeng. Bashan pum kah Argob paeng boeih he Rapha khohmuen la a tkhue.
14 Jair, son of Manasseh, took all the region of Argob, as far as the boundary of the Geshurites, and the Maachathites, —and called them after his own name The Bashan of Havvoth-jair unto this day.
Manasseh capa Jair loh Argob paeng pum te Geshuri neh Maakathi khorhi duela a loh. Te dongah te rhoek te anih ming neh tihnin due, Bashan vangca, Jair a sui.
15 And, unto Machir, gave I Gilead;
Makir te khaw Gilead ka paek coeng.
16 And unto the Reubenites and unto the Gadites, gave I—from Gilead even as far as the ravine of Arnon, the middle of the ravine and boundary, —even as far as the Jabbok ravine, the boundary of the sons of Ammon;
Tedae Gilead lamkah Arnon soklong due, khorhi soklong bangli neh Ammon koca rhoek kah khorhi Jabbok soklong duela,
17 the Waste Plain also and the Jordan and boundary, —from Chinnereth, even as far as the sea of the Waste Plain the Salt Sea, under the slopes of Pisgah, on the east.
kolken neh Jordan khorhi khaw, Kinnereth lamkah kolken tuili, lungkaeh li neh khocuk Pisgah kah tuibah hmui rhoek khaw Reuben koca neh Gad koca taengah ka paek coeng.
18 So I commanded you, at that time saying, —Yahweh your God hath given unto you this land to possess it, armed, shall ye pass over before your brethren the sons of Israel all the sons of valour,
Te vaeng tue ah ni nangmih te kang uen tih, 'Na BOEIPA Pathen loh nangmih taengah m'paek khohmuen he pang hamla pumcum uh laeh. Israel ca rhoek tatthai hlang boeih long tah na manuca rhoek kah mikhmuh ah lan phai uh laeh,’ ka ti.
19 Only, your wives and your little ones and your cattle—I know that ye have much cattle—shall abide in your cities which I have given unto you;
Tedae na yuu na ca rhoek neh na boiva te tah ka ming vanbangla boiva khaw muep a yet oeh pueng dongah nangmih ham kam paek na khopuei rhoek ah te om uh mai saeh.
20 until that Yahweh shall give rest unto your brethren, as well as you, so shall, they too, possess the land which, Yahweh your God, is giving unto them, over the Jordan, —then shall ye return every man unto his possession, which I have given unto you.
Nangmih bangla na manuca rhoek te BOEIPA loh a duem sak duela na BOEIPA Pathen loh amih taengah khohmuen a paek te amih loh Jordan rhalvang khaw a pang uh thil van coeng. Te dongah hlang he nangmih taengah kam paek vanbangla a rho taengla mael saeh.
21 Joshua also, commanded I, at that time saying, —Thine are the eyes, that have seen all that Yahweh your God hath done unto these two kings, thus, will Yahweh do unto all the kingdoms whereunto thou, art passing over:
Joshua khaw amah te vaeng tue ah ka uen tih, 'Hekah manghai rhoi taengah na BOEIPA Pathen loh a saii boeih te na mik loh a hmuh coeng. Nang loh na kun thil ham ram boeih te khaw BOEIPA loh a saii ni.
22 ye shall not fear them, —for, Yahweh your God, he, it is that is fighting for you.
Nangmih hamla na BOEIPA Pathen loh a vathoh thil coeng dongah amih te rhih boeh,’ ka ti nah.
23 Then sought I Yahweh at that time, for a favour saying:
Amah te vaeng tue ah BOEIPA taengla ka bih tih,
24 My Lord Yahweh, thou thyself, hast begun to shew thy servant thy greatness, and thy firm hand, —as to which, what GOD is there, in the heavens or in the earth, that can do according to thy doings, and according to thy mighty deeds?
'Aw Boeipa, Yahovah nang loh na boeilennah neh na tlungluen kut te na sal taengah tueng sak hamla na tawn coeng. Nang kah bibi neh na thayung thamal bangla vaan neh diklai dongah mebang pathen long nim a saii thai bal.
25 Let me pass over, I pray thee that I may see the good land that is over the Jordan, —this good mountain, and the Lebanon.
Jordan rhalvang la bet ka lan mai saeh lamtah khohmuen then Lebanon tlang then te khaw ka hmu laem eh,’ ka ti nah.
26 But Yahweh had been provoked with me for your sakes, and hearkened not unto me, —and Yahweh said unto me, Enough for thee! do not add a word unto me further in this matter.
Tedae nangmih kongah BOEIPA te kai taengah lungoe tih ka ol hnatun pawh. Te vaenagah BOEIPA loh kai taengah, 'Temah saeh ne nang te, hebang olka he kai taengah koep thui ham khoep boeh.
27 Ascend the top of the Pisgah, and lift up thine eyes—westward, and northward and southward and eastward—and see with thine own eyes, —for thou shalt not pass over this Jordan.
Pisgah som la luei lamtah tuitunli neh tlangpuei khaw, tuithim neh khocuk khaw na mik neh dan mai. Jordan he na mik neh na hmuh cakhaw na kat mahpawh.
28 But command thou Joshua and confirm him and embolden him, —for, he, shall pass over before this people, and, he shall cause them to inherit the land which thou shalt see.
Tedae Joshua te uen lamtah talong khaw talong, duel khaw duel. Anih tah pilnam kah mikhmuh ah kat phai vetih na hmuh ham khohmuen te a pang ni, ' a ti.
29 So we abode in the valley, over against Beth-peor.
Te dongah ni Bethpeor imdan kah kolrhawk ah kho n'sakuh.
