< Deuteronomy 25 >

1 When there ariseth a controversy between men, and they come nigh unto judgment, and judgment is granted them, then shall they justify the righteous man, and condemn the lawless.
No adda ti riri iti nagbaetan dagiti tattao ket mapanda iti pangukoman, ket ukomen ida dagiti ukom, ket bulosandanto ti nalinteg ken dusaenda ti nadangkes.
2 And it shall be—if the lawless man be, worthy of stripes, then shall the judge cause him to lie down and be beaten before him, according to the measure of his lawlessness, by number:
No maikari a masaplit ti nakabasol a tao, ket pagpakleben ti ukom isuna ket masaplit iti imatangna segun iti naibilin a bilang dagiti saplit, a kas iti krimen a naaramidna.
3 forty stripes, may he give him not going beyond, —lest, if he do go beyond to smite him above these, with many stripes, then should thy brother be of no account in thine eyes.
Mabalin a saplitan isuna ti ukom iti uppat a pulo, ngem saanna a surokan dayta a bilang, ta no surokanna dayta a bilang ket saplitanna iti ad-adu pay a saplit, ket maibabainto ti padayo nga Israelita iti panagkitayo.
4 Thou shalt not muzzle an ox when he is treading out the corn.
Nasken a saanyo a busalan ti baka no badde-baddekanna ti dawa.
5 When brethren dwell together, and one of them dieth, having, no son, the wife of the dead shall not marry outside to a stranger, —her husband’s brother, shall go in unto her, and take her unto him to wife and do for her as a husband’s brother.
No agkabbalay ti agkabsat ket natay ti maysa kadakuada, nga awanan ti anak a lalaki, nasken a saan a makiasawa ti asawa ti natay a lalaki iti sabali a tao a saan a kameng ti pamilia. Ngem ketdi, nasken a makikaidda ti kabsat ti asawana kenkuana ket asawaenna, ken aramidenna ti pagrebbengan ti kabsatna a kas asawa kenkuana.
6 And it shall be, that, the firstborn which she beareth, shall succeed in the name of his brother who is dead, —so shall his name not be wiped out from Israel.
Daytoy ket tapno ti umuna nga anak nga ipasngayna ti mangtawidto iti nagan ti natay a kabsatna, tapno saan a mapukaw ti naganna manipud iti Israel.
7 But, if the man like not to take his sister-in-law, then shall his sister-in-law go up unto the gate, unto the elders, and say—My husband’s brother hath refused, to raise up unto his brother a name in Israel, he is not willing to do as a husband’s brother unto me.
Ngem no saan a tarigagayan ti lalaki nga asawaen ti asawa ti kabsatna, nasken ngarud a sumang-at ti asawa ti kabsatna iti ruangan a paguk-ukoman dagiti panglakayen ket ibagana, 'Nagkedked ti kabsat ti asawak a mangbangon iti nagan para iti kabsatna iti Israel; saanna a kayat nga aramiden kaniak ti pagrebbengan ti maysa a kabsat ti asawa a lalaki.'
8 Then shall the elders of his city call him and speak unto him, —and he shall stand and say, I like not to take her.
Ket nasken a paayaban isuna dagiti panglakayen iti siudadna ket kasaritadanto isuna. Ngem kas pangarigan no ipilpilitna ket ibagbagana, 'Saanko a tartarigagayan nga asawaen ti babai.'
9 Then shall his brother’s wife come near unto him in the presence of the elders, and draw his shoe from off his foot, and spit in his face, —and respond and say, Thus shall it be done unto the man who will not build up the house of his brother.
Ket nasken a sumang-at nga umasideg kenkuana iti asawa ti kabsatna iti sangoanan dagiti panglakayen, ikkatenna ti sandaliasna, ket tupraanna ti rupana. Nasken a sungbatanna isuna ket kunana, 'Dayta ti mapasamak iti lalaki a saan a mangitakder iti balay ti kabsatna.'
10 And his name shall be called in Israel, —The house of him who had his shoe drawn off.
Maawaganto ti naganna iti Israel, 'Ti pagtaengan ti lalaki a nauksot ti sandaliasna.'
11 When men strive together one with another, and the wife of the one draweth near to deliver her husband out of the hand of him that smiteth him, —and she putteth forth her hand, and seizeth him by his parts of shame,
No agaapa dagiti lallaki, ket umasideg ti asawa ti maysa tapno isalakanna ti asawana iti ima ti nangkabil kenkuana, ket no iyunnatna ti imana ken alaenna ti mabagbagi ti lalaki,
12 then shalt thou cut off her hand, thine eye shall not pity.
ket nasken a putdenyo ti ima ti babai; nasken a saan a kaasian ti matayo.
13 Thou shalt not have in thy bag divers weights, —a great and a small.
Nasken nga awan ti agduduma a timbangan iti pagkargaanyo, maysa a dakkel ken maysa a bassit.
14 Thou shalt not have in thy house divers measures, —a great and a small.
Nasken nga awan ti agduduma a pagsukatan iti pagtaenganyo, maysa a dakkel ken maysa a bassit.
15 A weight full and just, shalt thou have, a measure full and just, shalt thou have, —that thy days may be prolonged upon the soil which Yahweh thy God is giving unto thee.
Nasken nga agpag-isu ken nalinteg ti pagtimbangan nga adda kadakayo; nasken nga apag-isu ken nalinteg ti pagsukatan nga adda kadakayo, tapno umatiddog dagiti al-aldawyo iti daga nga it-ited ni Yahweh kadakayo.
16 For an abomination unto Yahweh thy God, is every one that doeth these things, —every one that doeth unjustly.
Ta amin nga agar-aramid iti kasta a banbanag, amin nga agtigtignay a saan a nalinteg, ket makarimon a banag kenni Yahweh a Diosyo.
17 Remember that which Amalek did unto thee by the way when ye came forth out of Egypt;
Lagipenyo ti inaramid dagiti Amalekita kadakayo iti dalan iti iruruaryo iti Egipto,
18 how he encountered thee by the way and cut off in thy rear all the worn-out behind thee, thou thyself, being weary and worn, —how he feared not God.
no kasano a sinabatdakayo iti dalan ken dinarupda dagiti adda iti likudanyo, dagiti amin nga agkakapoy iti likodanyo, idi natalimudaw ken nabannogkayo; saanda a rinaem ti Dios.
19 Therefore shall it be when Yahweh thy God hath given thee rest from all thine enemies round about in the land which Yahweh thy God is giving unto thee for an inheritance to possess it, then shalt thou wipe out the remembrance of Amalek from under the heavens, —thou shalt not forget.
Ngarud, inton paginanaennakayo ni Yahweh a Diosyo manipud kadagiti amin a kabusoryo iti aglawlaw, iti daga nga it-ited ni Yahweh a Diosyo kadakayo a tagikuaen a kas tawid, nasken a saanyo a liplipatan a punasen iti pakalaglagipan dagiti Amalekita manipud ti babaen ti langit.
