< Deuteronomy 22 >
1 Thou shalt not see the ox of thy brother or his sheep, going astray, and turn away from them, —thou shalt, bring them back unto thy brother.
Sɛ wuhu sɛ wo yɔnko Israelni bi nantwi anaa ne guan nam basabasa a, mmu wʼani ngu so; mmom kyere no kɔma ne wura.
2 And, if thy brother be not nigh unto thee or thou know him not, then shalt thou make room for it within thee own shed and it shall be with thee, until thy brother seek after it, when thou shalt return it unto him.
Sɛ ne wura nte mmɛn wo, anaasɛ wunnim no a, fa no kɔ wo fi kosi sɛ ne wura no bɛba abɛhwehwɛ no na wode nʼaboa ma no.
3 And, so, shalt thou do with his ass, and, so, shalt thou do with his mantle and, so, shalt thou do with any lost thing of thy brother’s, which shall go astray from him and thou shalt find, —thou mayest not turn away.
Sɛ wuhu wo nua bi afurum anaa ne ntama anaa ne biribi a ayera a, yɛ no saa ara. Mmu wʼani ngu so.
4 Thou shalt not see the ass of thy brother or his ox fallen in the way, and turn away from them, —thou shalt, raise, them with him.
Sɛ wuhu sɛ wo yɔnko Israelni bi afurum anaa ne nantwi bi atew ahwe wɔ ɔkwan mu a, mmu wʼani ngu so. Kɔboa ne wura no na ɔmma aboa no so nnyina hɔ.
5 A woman shall not have on the wearing apparel of a man, nor shall a man put on the mantle of a woman; for an abomination to Yahweh thy God, is any one who doeth these things.
Ɛnsɛ sɛ ɔbea hyɛ mmarima atade, saa ara nso na ɛnsɛ sɛ ɔbarima hyɛ mmea atade, efisɛ Awurade, mo Nyankopɔn no, kyi obiara a ɔyɛ eyi.
6 When a bird’s-nest chanceth to be before thee, —in the way, in any tree or upon the ground, whether with nestlings or eggs, and, the mother, be sitting upon the nestlings or upon the eggs, thou shalt not take the mother upon the young;
Sɛ wokɔto anomaa berebuw wɔ ɔkwankyɛn, sɛ ɛhyɛ dua mu anaa ɛda fam, na sɛ anomaa no na butuw ne ba no so anaa obutuw nkesua so a, mfa anomaa no na ne ne ba no nkɔ.
7 thou shalt, let go, the mother, and then, her young, mayest thou take for thyself, —that it may go well with thee, and that thou mayest prolong thy days.
Wutumi fa ne ba no nanso hwɛ sɛ wobɛma ne na no akɔ, sɛnea ebesi wo yiye na wo nkwanna aware.
8 When thou buildest a new house, then shalt thou make a parapet to thy roof, so shalt thou not treasure up blood-guiltiness against thy house, for he that is in danger of falling might fall therefrom.
Sɛ wusi ɔdan foforo a, yɛ ban fa wo dan no nkuruso no ho na obi amfi hɔ antew anhwe amma woamfa mogyahwiegu ho afɔdi amma wo ne wo dan no so.
9 Thou shalt not sow thy vineyard with two sorts of seed, —lest the fulness of the seed which thou sowest, and the increase of thy vineyard be profaned.
Nnua nnɔbae foforo biara wɔ bobe ntam wɔ wo bobeturo mu. Sɛ woyɛ saa a, na wo nnɔbae no ne bobeturo no so aba nyinaa ho agu fi.
10 Thou shalt not plough with an ox and an ass together,
Nsa nantwi ne afurum mmɔ mu mfuntum afuw.
11 Thou shalt not put on linsey-woolsey, of wool and flax together.
Mfura ntama a wɔde kuntu ne sirikyi afra anwen.
12 Tassels, shalt thou make thee, —on the four corners of thy vesture, wherewith thou dost cover thyself.
Yɛ ntama a wufura no ano anan no nyinaa mpɛsɛ.
13 When a man taketh a wife, —and goeth in unto her and hateth her;
Sɛ ɔbarima ware ɔbea na ɔne no da na akyiri no ɔmpɛ no bio,
14 and raiseth against her occasions of speech, and bringeth upon her an evil name, and saith—This woman, I took, and approached her, and found not that she had the tokens of virginity,
na enti ɔka ne ho asɛmmɔne, bɔ no din bɔne se, “Mewaree no no, manhu biribiara a ɛkyerɛ sɛ ɔyɛ ɔbabun,”
15 then shall the father of the damsel and her mother take and bring forth the tokens of the virginity of the damsel, unto the elders of the city, in the gate;
a, ɔbea no agya ne ne na wɔ ho kwan sɛ wɔde adansede a ɛkyerɛ sɛ wɔn babea no yɛ ɔbabun bɛkyerɛ kurow no mpanyimfo wɔ kurow no pon.
16 and the father of the damsel shall say unto the elders, —My daughter, gave I unto this man to wife and he hated her;
Ɛsɛ sɛ ɔbea no agya ka kyerɛ wɔn se, “Mede me babea maa ɔbarima yi aware nanso ose ɔmpɛ no bio.
17 and lo! he, hath raised occasions of speech, saying—I found not that thy daughter had the tokens of virginity and yet, these, are the tokens of the virginity of my daughter. And they shall spread out the garment before the elders of the city.
Wagu nʼanim ase aka se, ‘Manhu sɛ wo babea no yɛ ɔbabun.’ Nanso adansede a ɛkyerɛ sɛ ɔyɛ ɔbabun no ni.” Afei, wɔbɛtrɛw ntama no mu wɔ kurow no mpanyimfo anim,
18 Then shall the elders of that city take the man, and chastise him;
na mpanyimfo no bɛfrɛ ɔbarima no atwe nʼaso.
19 and fine him a hundred [shekels] of silver and give unto the father of the damsel, because he hath brought an evil name upon a virgin of Israel, and she shall remain his wife, he may not put her away, all his days.
Wɔbɛbɔ no ka kilogram baako sɛ wagu Israel ɔbabun no anim ase. Wobetua sika no ama ɔbea no agya. Afei, ɔbabea no bɛyɛ ɔbarima no yere a ɔrennyaa no bio.
20 But if this thing be true, and the tokens of virginity be not found with the damsel,
Sɛ ɛkɔba sɛ kwaadu a wɔde bɔɔ no no yɛ nokware na wɔannya adansede a ɛfa ne babunyɛ no ho ankyerɛ a,
21 then shall they bring forth the damsel into the entrance of her father’s house, and the men of her city shall stone her with stones that she die, because she hath wrought wickedness in Israel, by committing unchastity in her father’s house, —so shalt thou consume the wicked thing out of thy midst.
wɔde ɔbea no bɛba nʼagya fi abɔntenpon ano na kurom hɔ mmarima asiw no abo akum no. Ɔnam aguamammɔ so ayɛ animguase ade wɔ Israel, bere a ɔne nʼawofo te. Ɛsɛ sɛ mutu saa bɔne no ase fi mo mu.
22 When a man is found lying with a woman married to a husband, then shall, both, of them die, the man that lay with the woman, and the woman, so shalt thou consume the wicked thing out of Israel.
Sɛ wohu sɛ ɔbarima bi ne ɔbarima foforo bi yere da a, ɛsɛ sɛ wokum ɔbarima a ɔne ɔbea no dae no ne ɔbea no nyinaa. Ɛsɛ sɛ mutu saa bɔne no ase wɔ Israel.
23 When a damsel that is a virgin is betrothed to a husband, —and a man findeth her in the city, and lieth with her,
Sɛ ɔbarima bi hyia ababaa a ɔyɛ ɔbabun a ɔne obi ahyehyɛ aware na ɔbarima no ne ababaa no da na sɛ saa asɛm no sii wɔ kurow no mu a,
24 then shall ye bring them, both, out unto the gate of that city, and stone them with stones that they die, the damsel, because she made not an outcry in the city, and the man because he hath humbled his neighbour’s wife, —so shalt thou consume the wicked thing out of thy midst.
ɛsɛ sɛ mode wɔn baanu no kɔ kurow no apon ano kosiw wɔn abo kum wɔn. Ababaa no di fɔ, efisɛ na ɔwɔ kurom nanso wanteɛteɛ mu ampɛ mmoa. Ɛsɛ sɛ ɔbarima no nso wu, efisɛ wafa obi yere. Ɛsɛ sɛ mutu saa bɔne no ase fi mo mu.
25 But if in the field, the man find the betrothed damsel and the man force her and lie with her, then shall the man that lay with her die he alone;
Sɛ ɔbarima bi hyia ɔbea a obi ne no ahyehyɛ aware wɔ wuram, na ɔbarima no hyɛ no ne no da a, ɛsɛ sɛ wokum ɔbarima a ɔyɛɛ saa no nkutoo.
26 but, unto the damsel, shalt thou do nothing, the damsel, is not guilty of a sin worthy of death, for as when a man riseth up against his neighbour, and smiteth him so as to take away life, so, is this matter;
Monnyɛ ababaa no hwee, efisɛ ɔnyɛɛ bɔne biara a ɛma ɔfata owu. Saa asɛm yi te sɛ obi a watow ahyɛ ne yɔnko so akum no,
27 for in the field, he found her, —the betrothed damsel, made an outcry, and there was none to save her.
efisɛ ɔbarima no hyiaa ɔbea no wɔ wuram, na asiwa no teɛteɛɛ mu de, nanso wannya ogyefo biara.
28 When a man findeth a damsel that is a virgin who is not betrothed, and layeth hold of her and lieth with her, and they are found,
Sɛ wɔkyere ɔbarima bi sɛ wahyɛ ababaa bi a obi ne no nhyehyɛe aware, ne no ada a,
29 then shall the man who lay with her give unto the damsel’s father fifty shekels of silver, —and she shall be, his, wife, because he hath humbled her, he may not put her away, all his days.
ɛsɛ sɛ otua dwetɛ kilogram abien ne fa ma ababaa no agya. Na ɛno akyi no, ɛsɛ sɛ ɔbarima no ware ababaa no, efisɛ wagu nʼanim ase na ɔrentumi nnyae no aware da.
30 A man shall not take his father’s wife, —neither shall he turn aside his father’s coverlet.
Ɔbarima biara nni ho kwan sɛ ɔne nʼagya yere da; ɛnsɛ sɛ ogu nʼagya mpa ho fi.
