Deuteronomy 22
1 Thou shalt not see the ox of thy brother or his sheep, going astray, and turn away from them, —thou shalt, bring them back unto thy brother.
Să nu vezi boul fratelui tău sau oaia lui rătăcind şi să te ascunzi de ele, să le întorci negreşit la fratele tău.
2 And, if thy brother be not nigh unto thee or thou know him not, then shalt thou make room for it within thee own shed and it shall be with thee, until thy brother seek after it, when thou shalt return it unto him.
Şi dacă fratele tău nu este aproape de tine, sau dacă nu îl cunoşti, atunci să le aduci la casa ta şi să fie la tine până le caută fratele tău şi să i le înapoiezi.
3 And, so, shalt thou do with his ass, and, so, shalt thou do with his mantle and, so, shalt thou do with any lost thing of thy brother’s, which shall go astray from him and thou shalt find, —thou mayest not turn away.
Astfel să faci şi cu măgarul său şi la fel să faci şi cu haina sa şi la fel să faci cu orice lucru pierdut al fratelui tău, pe care l-a pierdut el şi tu l-ai găsit; nu poţi să te ascunzi.
4 Thou shalt not see the ass of thy brother or his ox fallen in the way, and turn away from them, —thou shalt, raise, them with him.
Să nu vezi măgarul fratelui tău sau boul lui, căzuţi pe cale, şi să te ascunzi de ei, să îl ajuţi negreşit să îi ridice.
5 A woman shall not have on the wearing apparel of a man, nor shall a man put on the mantle of a woman; for an abomination to Yahweh thy God, is any one who doeth these things.
Femeia să nu se îmbrace cu ce aparţine unui bărbat, nici bărbatul să nu se îmbrace cu haină femeiască, pentru că toţi cei care fac astfel sunt o urâciune înaintea DOMNULUI Dumnezeul tău.
6 When a bird’s-nest chanceth to be before thee, —in the way, in any tree or upon the ground, whether with nestlings or eggs, and, the mother, be sitting upon the nestlings or upon the eggs, thou shalt not take the mother upon the young;
Dacă se întâmplă să fie înaintea ta pe drum, în vreun pom sau pe pământ, un cuib de pasăre cu pui sau cu ouă şi mama şade peste pui sau peste ouă, să nu iei mama cu puii,
7 thou shalt, let go, the mother, and then, her young, mayest thou take for thyself, —that it may go well with thee, and that thou mayest prolong thy days.
Să dai drumul mamei şi să îţi iei puii, ca să îţi fie bine şi să îţi prelungeşti zilele.
8 When thou buildest a new house, then shalt thou make a parapet to thy roof, so shalt thou not treasure up blood-guiltiness against thy house, for he that is in danger of falling might fall therefrom.
Când zideşti o casă nouă, să faci un parapet pentru acoperişul tău, ca să nu aduci sânge peste casa ta, dacă vreun om cade de pe ea.
9 Thou shalt not sow thy vineyard with two sorts of seed, —lest the fulness of the seed which thou sowest, and the increase of thy vineyard be profaned.
Să nu îţi semeni via cu seminţe diferite, ca nu cumva rodul seminţei tale, pe care ai semănat-o, şi rodul viei tale să fie pângărit.
10 Thou shalt not plough with an ox and an ass together,
Să nu ari cu un bou şi cu un măgar împreună.
11 Thou shalt not put on linsey-woolsey, of wool and flax together.
Să nu porţi o haină din materiale diferite, precum din lână şi in împreună.
12 Tassels, shalt thou make thee, —on the four corners of thy vesture, wherewith thou dost cover thyself.
Să îţi faci ciucuri la cele patru colţuri ale îmbrăcămintei tale, cu care te acoperi.
13 When a man taketh a wife, —and goeth in unto her and hateth her;
Dacă un om îşi ia o soţie şi intră la ea şi o urăşte,
14 and raiseth against her occasions of speech, and bringeth upon her an evil name, and saith—This woman, I took, and approached her, and found not that she had the tokens of virginity,
Şi dă ocazii să se vorbească împotriva ei şi îi scoate un nume rău şi spune: Am luat pe femeia aceasta şi când am intrat la ea, nu am găsit-o fecioară,
15 then shall the father of the damsel and her mother take and bring forth the tokens of the virginity of the damsel, unto the elders of the city, in the gate;
Atunci tatăl fetei şi mama ei, să ia semnele fecioriei fetei şi să le aducă la bătrânii cetăţii la poartă,
16 and the father of the damsel shall say unto the elders, —My daughter, gave I unto this man to wife and he hated her;
Şi tatăl fetei să spună bătrânilor: Am dat pe fiica mea de soţie acestui bărbat şi el o urăşte;
17 and lo! he, hath raised occasions of speech, saying—I found not that thy daughter had the tokens of virginity and yet, these, are the tokens of the virginity of my daughter. And they shall spread out the garment before the elders of the city.
Şi, iată, el dă ocazii de vorbire împotriva ei, spunând: Nu am găsit pe fiica ta fecioară; şi totuşi acestea sunt semnele fecioriei fiicei mele. Şi ei să întindă pânza înaintea bătrânilor cetăţii.
18 Then shall the elders of that city take the man, and chastise him;
Şi bătrânii cetăţii aceleia să ia pe bărbatul acela şi să îl certe;
19 and fine him a hundred [shekels] of silver and give unto the father of the damsel, because he hath brought an evil name upon a virgin of Israel, and she shall remain his wife, he may not put her away, all his days.
Şi să îl amendeze cu o sută de şekeli de argint şi să îi dea tatălui fetei, pentru că a scos nume rău unei fecioare din Israel şi ea să îi fie soţie; nu o va putea lăsa în toate zilele lui.
20 But if this thing be true, and the tokens of virginity be not found with the damsel,
Dar dacă acest lucru este adevărat şi semnele de feciorie nu se găsesc pentru tânăra femeie,
21 then shall they bring forth the damsel into the entrance of her father’s house, and the men of her city shall stone her with stones that she die, because she hath wrought wickedness in Israel, by committing unchastity in her father’s house, —so shalt thou consume the wicked thing out of thy midst.
Atunci să scoată pe tânăra femeie la uşa casei tatălui ei şi bărbaţii cetăţii ei să o ucidă cu pietre, ca să moară, pentru că a lucrat prosteşte în Israel, să curvească în casa tatălui ei; astfel să îndepărtezi răul din mijlocul vostru.
22 When a man is found lying with a woman married to a husband, then shall, both, of them die, the man that lay with the woman, and the woman, so shalt thou consume the wicked thing out of Israel.
Dacă este găsit un bărbat culcându-se cu o femeie măritată cu un soţ, atunci ei să moară amândoi, deopotrivă bărbatul care s-a culcat cu femeia şi femeia; astfel să îndepărtezi răul din Israel.
23 When a damsel that is a virgin is betrothed to a husband, —and a man findeth her in the city, and lieth with her,
Dacă o fată fecioară este logodită cu un bărbat şi un bărbat o găseşte în cetate şi se culcă cu ea;
24 then shall ye bring them, both, out unto the gate of that city, and stone them with stones that they die, the damsel, because she made not an outcry in the city, and the man because he hath humbled his neighbour’s wife, —so shalt thou consume the wicked thing out of thy midst.
Atunci să îi scoateţi pe amândoi afară la poarta cetăţii aceleia şi să îi ucideţi cu pietre, ca să moară, pe fată, pentru că nu a strigat, fiind în cetate, şi pe bărbat, pentru că a înjosit pe soţia aproapelui său, astfel să îndepărtezi răul din mijlocul vostru.
25 But if in the field, the man find the betrothed damsel and the man force her and lie with her, then shall the man that lay with her die he alone;
Dar dacă un bărbat găseşte în câmp pe o fată logodită şi bărbatul o forţează şi se culcă cu ea, atunci numai bărbatul acela care s-a culcat cu ea să moară,
26 but, unto the damsel, shalt thou do nothing, the damsel, is not guilty of a sin worthy of death, for as when a man riseth up against his neighbour, and smiteth him so as to take away life, so, is this matter;
Dar fetei să nu îi faci nimic, asupra fetei nu este păcat demn de moarte, căci este precum se ridică un om împotriva aproapelui său şi îl ucide, astfel este acest lucru,
27 for in the field, he found her, —the betrothed damsel, made an outcry, and there was none to save her.
Pentru că a găsit-o în câmp şi fata logodită a strigat şi nu a fost nimeni să o salveze.
28 When a man findeth a damsel that is a virgin who is not betrothed, and layeth hold of her and lieth with her, and they are found,
Dacă un bărbat găseşte o fată fecioară, care nu este logodită, şi o apucă şi se culcă cu ea şi sunt găsiţi,
29 then shall the man who lay with her give unto the damsel’s father fifty shekels of silver, —and she shall be, his, wife, because he hath humbled her, he may not put her away, all his days.
Atunci bărbatul care s-a culcat cu ea să dea tatălui fetei cincizeci de şekeli de argint şi ea să îi fie soţie, pentru că a înjosit-o, nu o poate lăsa în toate zilele sale.
30 A man shall not take his father’s wife, —neither shall he turn aside his father’s coverlet.
Un bărbat să nu ia pe soţia tatălui său, nici să nu ridice învelitoarea patului tatălui său.
