Deuteronomy 22
1 Thou shalt not see the ox of thy brother or his sheep, going astray, and turn away from them, —thou shalt, bring them back unto thy brother.
ତୁମ୍ଭେ ଆପଣା ଭାଇର ବଳଦ କି ମେଷ ବଣା ହେବାର ଦେଖିଲେ, ସେମାନଙ୍କ ବିଷୟରେ ଅମନୋଯୋଗୀ ହେବ ନାହିଁ; ତୁମ୍ଭେ ସେମାନଙ୍କୁ ଆପଣା ଭାଇ କତିକି ନିଶ୍ଚୟ ଫେରାଇ ଆଣିବ।
2 And, if thy brother be not nigh unto thee or thou know him not, then shalt thou make room for it within thee own shed and it shall be with thee, until thy brother seek after it, when thou shalt return it unto him.
ପୁଣି ଯଦି ତୁମ୍ଭର ସେହି ଭାଇ ତୁମ୍ଭର ନିକଟବର୍ତ୍ତୀ ନ ଥାଏ, କିମ୍ବା ତୁମ୍ଭେ ଯଦି ତାହାକୁ ନ ଚିହ୍ନ, ତେବେ ତୁମ୍ଭେ ଆପଣା ଗୃହକୁ ସେହି ପଶୁ ଆଣିବ, ତୁମ୍ଭର ସେହି ଭାଇ ତାହାକୁ ଅନ୍ୱେଷଣ କରିବା ପର୍ଯ୍ୟନ୍ତ ତାହା ତୁମ୍ଭ ପାଖରେ ରହିବ, ତହିଁ ଉତ୍ତାରେ ତୁମ୍ଭେ ତାହାକୁ ତାହା ଫେରାଇ ଦେବ।
3 And, so, shalt thou do with his ass, and, so, shalt thou do with his mantle and, so, shalt thou do with any lost thing of thy brother’s, which shall go astray from him and thou shalt find, —thou mayest not turn away.
ତୁମ୍ଭେ ତାହାର ଗଧ ପ୍ରତି ସେରୂପ କରିବ ଓ ତୁମ୍ଭେ ତାହାର ବସ୍ତ୍ର ପ୍ରତି ସେରୂପ କରିବ; ପୁଣି ତୁମ୍ଭ ଭାଇ ଯେକୌଣସି ବସ୍ତୁ ହଜାଇଥାଏ, ତାହାର ସେହି ହଜିଲା ବସ୍ତୁ ତୁମ୍ଭେ ପାଇଲେ, ତହିଁ ବିଷୟରେ ସେରୂପ କରିବ; ତହିଁରେ ଅମନୋଯୋଗ କରିବା ତୁମ୍ଭର ଅକର୍ତ୍ତବ୍ୟ।
4 Thou shalt not see the ass of thy brother or his ox fallen in the way, and turn away from them, —thou shalt, raise, them with him.
ତୁମ୍ଭେ ଆପଣା ଭାଇର ଗଧ କି ବଳଦ ବାଟରେ ପଡ଼ିଯିବାର ଦେଖିଲେ, ତହିଁ ପ୍ରତି ଅମନୋଯୋଗୀ ହେବ ନାହିଁ; ତୁମ୍ଭେ ସେମାନଙ୍କୁ ପୁନର୍ବାର ଉଠାଇବା ପାଇଁ ଅବଶ୍ୟ ତାହାର ଉପକାର କରିବ।
5 A woman shall not have on the wearing apparel of a man, nor shall a man put on the mantle of a woman; for an abomination to Yahweh thy God, is any one who doeth these things.
ଯାହା ପୁରୁଷର, ତାହା ସ୍ତ୍ରୀ ପିନ୍ଧିବ ନାହିଁ, କିଅବା ସ୍ତ୍ରୀର ପୋଷାକ ପୁରୁଷ ପିନ୍ଧିବ ନାହିଁ; କାରଣ ଯେକେହି ତାହା କରେ, ସେ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ତୁମ୍ଭ ପରମେଶ୍ୱରଙ୍କର ଘୃଣାଯୋଗ୍ୟ ଅଟେ।
6 When a bird’s-nest chanceth to be before thee, —in the way, in any tree or upon the ground, whether with nestlings or eggs, and, the mother, be sitting upon the nestlings or upon the eggs, thou shalt not take the mother upon the young;
ଯେବେ ପଥପାର୍ଶ୍ୱସ୍ଥ କୌଣସି ବୃକ୍ଷରେ କିଅବା ଭୂମିରେ ତୁମ୍ଭ ସମ୍ମୁଖରେ କୌଣସି ପକ୍ଷୀର ବସାରେ ଛୁଆ କି ଡିମ୍ବ ଥାଏ, ଆଉ ସେହି ଛୁଆ କି ଡିମ୍ବ ଉପରେ ପକ୍ଷିଣୀ ବସିଥାଏ, ତେବେ ତୁମ୍ଭେ ଛୁଆ ସଙ୍ଗରେ ପକ୍ଷିଣୀକୁ ଧରିବ ନାହିଁ।
7 thou shalt, let go, the mother, and then, her young, mayest thou take for thyself, —that it may go well with thee, and that thou mayest prolong thy days.
ତୁମ୍ଭେ କୌଣସିମତେ ପକ୍ଷିଣୀକୁ ଛାଡ଼ିଦେବ, ମାତ୍ର ତୁମ୍ଭେ ଆପଣା ନିମନ୍ତେ ଛୁଆମାନଙ୍କୁ ନେଇପାର, ତହିଁରେ ତୁମ୍ଭର ମଙ୍ଗଳ ହେବ ଓ ତୁମ୍ଭେ ଆପଣା ଦିନ ବଢ଼ାଇ ପାରିବ।
8 When thou buildest a new house, then shalt thou make a parapet to thy roof, so shalt thou not treasure up blood-guiltiness against thy house, for he that is in danger of falling might fall therefrom.
ତୁମ୍ଭେ ନୂତନ ଗୃହ ନିର୍ମାଣ କଲେ, ତହିଁର ଛାତରେ ଲୁହାର ବାଡ଼ ପ୍ରସ୍ତୁତ କରିବ, ଯେପରି ତହିଁ ଉପରୁ କୌଣସି ମନୁଷ୍ୟ ପଡ଼ିଗଲେ, ତୁମ୍ଭେ ଆପଣା ଗୃହ ଉପରେ ରକ୍ତପାତର ଅପରାଧ ବର୍ତ୍ତାଇବ ନାହିଁ।
9 Thou shalt not sow thy vineyard with two sorts of seed, —lest the fulness of the seed which thou sowest, and the increase of thy vineyard be profaned.
ତୁମ୍ଭେ ଆପଣା ଦ୍ରାକ୍ଷାକ୍ଷେତ୍ରରେ ମିଶ୍ରିତ ବୀଜ ବୁଣିବ ନାହିଁ; ତାହା କଲେ ତୁମ୍ଭ ବୁଣା ବୀଜ ଓ ଦ୍ରାକ୍ଷାକ୍ଷେତ୍ରର ସମୁଦାୟ ଫଳ ଜବତ ରୂପେ ନିଆଯିବ ନାହିଁ।
10 Thou shalt not plough with an ox and an ass together,
ତୁମ୍ଭେ ବଳଦ ଓ ଗଧ ଏକତ୍ର ଯୋଚି ଚାଷ କରିବ ନାହିଁ।
11 Thou shalt not put on linsey-woolsey, of wool and flax together.
ତୁମ୍ଭେ ଲୋମ ଓ ମସିନା କୌଣସି ମିଶ୍ରିତ ସୂତ୍ରନିର୍ମିତ ବସ୍ତ୍ର ପିନ୍ଧିବ ନାହିଁ।
12 Tassels, shalt thou make thee, —on the four corners of thy vesture, wherewith thou dost cover thyself.
ତୁମ୍ଭେ ଆପଣା ଶରୀରର ଉତ୍ତରୀୟ ବସ୍ତ୍ରର ଚାରି ଅଞ୍ଚଳରେ ଝୁମ୍ପା ବନାଇବ।
13 When a man taketh a wife, —and goeth in unto her and hateth her;
କୌଣସି ପୁରୁଷ କୌଣସି ସ୍ତ୍ରୀକୁ ବିବାହ କରି ତାହାର ସହବାସ କଲା ଉତ୍ତାରେ ଯଦି ତାହାକୁ ଘୃଣା କରେ
14 and raiseth against her occasions of speech, and bringeth upon her an evil name, and saith—This woman, I took, and approached her, and found not that she had the tokens of virginity,
ଓ ତାହା ବିରୁଦ୍ଧରେ ମନ୍ଦ କଥା ଆରୋପ କରେ ଓ ତାହାର ଦୁର୍ନାମ କରି କହେ କି, “ଆମ୍ଭେ ଏହି ସ୍ତ୍ରୀକୁ ବିବାହ କଲୁ, ମାତ୍ର ସହବାସ ସମୟରେ ଏହାର କୌମାର୍ଯ୍ୟର ଲକ୍ଷଣ ପାଇଲୁ ନାହିଁ;”
15 then shall the father of the damsel and her mother take and bring forth the tokens of the virginity of the damsel, unto the elders of the city, in the gate;
ତେବେ ସେହି କନ୍ୟାର ପିତାମାତା ତାହାର କୌମାର୍ଯ୍ୟର ଚିହ୍ନ ନେଇ ନଗର-ଦ୍ୱାରରେ ନଗରସ୍ଥ ପ୍ରାଚୀନମାନଙ୍କ ନିକଟକୁ ଆଣିବେ।
16 and the father of the damsel shall say unto the elders, —My daughter, gave I unto this man to wife and he hated her;
ତହୁଁ ସେହି କନ୍ୟାର ପିତା ପ୍ରାଚୀନବର୍ଗଙ୍କୁ କହିବ, “ଆମ୍ଭେ ଏହି ଲୋକ ସଙ୍ଗରେ ଆମ୍ଭ କନ୍ୟାକୁ ବିବାହ ଦେଲୁ;
17 and lo! he, hath raised occasions of speech, saying—I found not that thy daughter had the tokens of virginity and yet, these, are the tokens of the virginity of my daughter. And they shall spread out the garment before the elders of the city.
ମାତ୍ର ସେ ତାହାକୁ ଘୃଣା କରେ ଆଉ ଦେଖ, ସେ ତାହା ବିରୁଦ୍ଧରେ ମନ୍ଦ କଥା ଆରୋପ କରି କହେ କି, ‘ଆମ୍ଭେ ତୁମ୍ଭ କନ୍ୟାର କୌମାର୍ଯ୍ୟ ଲକ୍ଷଣ ପାଇଲୁ ନାହିଁ;’ ମାତ୍ର ଆମ୍ଭ କନ୍ୟାର କୌମାର୍ଯ୍ୟ ଚିହ୍ନ ଏହି;” ତହୁଁ ସେମାନେ ନଗରସ୍ଥ ପ୍ରାଚୀନମାନଙ୍କ ସାକ୍ଷାତରେ ସେହି ଲୁଗା ମେଲାଇ ଦେବେ।
18 Then shall the elders of that city take the man, and chastise him;
ଏଉତ୍ତାରୁ ନଗରର ପ୍ରାଚୀନମାନେ ସେହି ପୁରୁଷକୁ ଧରି ଶାସ୍ତି ଦେବେ।
19 and fine him a hundred [shekels] of silver and give unto the father of the damsel, because he hath brought an evil name upon a virgin of Israel, and she shall remain his wife, he may not put her away, all his days.
ପୁଣି ସେମାନେ ତାହାକୁ ଶହେ ଶେକଲ ରୂପା ଦଣ୍ଡ କରି କନ୍ୟାର ପିତାକୁ ଦେବେ, କାରଣ ସେ ଇସ୍ରାଏଲୀୟା ଏକ କନ୍ୟା ଉପରେ ଦୁର୍ନାମ ଆଣିଅଛି; ତହିଁରେ ସେ ତାହାର ଭାର୍ଯ୍ୟା ହେବ, ସେ ତାହାକୁ ଯାବଜ୍ଜୀବନ ତ୍ୟାଗ କରି ପାରିବ ନାହିଁ।
20 But if this thing be true, and the tokens of virginity be not found with the damsel,
ମାତ୍ର କଥା ଯେବେ ସତ୍ୟ ହୁଏ ଯେ, କନ୍ୟାର କୌମାର୍ଯ୍ୟ ଚିହ୍ନ ଦେଖା ନ ଯାଏ;
21 then shall they bring forth the damsel into the entrance of her father’s house, and the men of her city shall stone her with stones that she die, because she hath wrought wickedness in Israel, by committing unchastity in her father’s house, —so shalt thou consume the wicked thing out of thy midst.
ତେବେ ସେମାନେ ସେହି କନ୍ୟାକୁ ବାହାର କରି ପିତୃଗୃହର ଦ୍ୱାର ନିକଟକୁ ଆଣିବେ, ଆଉ ନଗରସ୍ଥ ଲୋକମାନେ ପ୍ରସ୍ତରାଘାତ କରି ତାହାକୁ ବଧ କରିବେ; କାରଣ ପିତୃଗୃହରେ ବ୍ୟଭିଚାର କରିବାରୁ ସେ ଇସ୍ରାଏଲ ମଧ୍ୟରେ ମୂଢ଼ତାର କର୍ମ କଲା; ଏହିରୂପେ ତୁମ୍ଭେ ଆପଣା ମଧ୍ୟରୁ ଦୁଷ୍ଟତା ଦୂର କରିବ।
22 When a man is found lying with a woman married to a husband, then shall, both, of them die, the man that lay with the woman, and the woman, so shalt thou consume the wicked thing out of Israel.
ଯଦି କୌଣସି ପୁରୁଷ ବିବାହିତା ସ୍ତ୍ରୀ ସହିତ ଶୟନ ସମୟରେ ଧରା ପଡ଼େ, ତେବେ ସେହି ସ୍ତ୍ରୀ ସହିତ ଶୟନକାରୀ ପୁରୁଷ ଓ ସେହି ସ୍ତ୍ରୀ, ଦୁହେଁ ହତ ହେବେ। ଏହିରୂପେ ତୁମ୍ଭେ ଇସ୍ରାଏଲ ମଧ୍ୟରୁ ଦୁଷ୍ଟତା ଦୂର କରିବ।
23 When a damsel that is a virgin is betrothed to a husband, —and a man findeth her in the city, and lieth with her,
ଯେବେ କୌଣସି କନ୍ୟା କୌଣସି ପୁରୁଷ ପ୍ରତି ବାଗ୍ଦତ୍ତା ଥାଏ ଓ କୌଣସି ପୁରୁଷ ତାହାକୁ ନଗର ମଧ୍ୟରେ ପାଇ ତାହା ସହିତ ଶୟନ କରେ;
24 then shall ye bring them, both, out unto the gate of that city, and stone them with stones that they die, the damsel, because she made not an outcry in the city, and the man because he hath humbled his neighbour’s wife, —so shalt thou consume the wicked thing out of thy midst.
ତେବେ ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ ସେହି ଦୁଇ ଜଣଙ୍କୁ ବାହାର କରି ନଗର-ଦ୍ୱାର ନିକଟକୁ ଆଣି ପ୍ରସ୍ତରାଘାତ କରି ବଧ କରିବ; କାରଣ ସେହି କନ୍ୟା ନଗର ମଧ୍ୟରେ ଥାଇ ମଧ୍ୟ ଡାକ ପକାଇଲା ନାହିଁ; ପୁଣି ସେହି ପୁରୁଷ ଆପଣା ପ୍ରତିବାସୀର ଭାର୍ଯ୍ୟାକୁ ଭ୍ରଷ୍ଟ କଲା; ଏହିରୂପେ ତୁମ୍ଭେ ଆପଣା ମଧ୍ୟରୁ ଦୁଷ୍ଟତା ଦୂର କରିବ।
25 But if in the field, the man find the betrothed damsel and the man force her and lie with her, then shall the man that lay with her die he alone;
ମାତ୍ର ଯଦି କୌଣସି ପୁରୁଷ ବାଗ୍ଦତ୍ତା କନ୍ୟାକୁ କ୍ଷେତ୍ରରେ ପାଇ ବଳାତ୍କାରରେ ତାହା ସହିତ ଶୟନ କରେ, ତେବେ ତାହା ସହିତ ଶୟନକାରୀ ସେହି ପୁରୁଷ କେବଳ ହତ ହେବ;
26 but, unto the damsel, shalt thou do nothing, the damsel, is not guilty of a sin worthy of death, for as when a man riseth up against his neighbour, and smiteth him so as to take away life, so, is this matter;
ମାତ୍ର ସେହି କନ୍ୟା ପ୍ରତି ତୁମ୍ଭେ କିଛି କରିବ ନାହିଁ; ସେହି କନ୍ୟାଠାରେ ପ୍ରାଣଦଣ୍ଡ ଯୋଗ୍ୟ ପାପ ନାହିଁ; କାରଣ କୌଣସି ମନୁଷ୍ୟ ଯେପରି ଆପଣା ପ୍ରତିବାସୀର ପ୍ରତିକୂଳରେ ଉଠି ତାହାକୁ ବଧ କରେ, ଏହି କଥା ସେହିପରି ଅଟେ।
27 for in the field, he found her, —the betrothed damsel, made an outcry, and there was none to save her.
ଯେହେତୁ ସେ ପୁରୁଷ କ୍ଷେତ୍ରରେ ତାହାକୁ ପାଇଲା ସେହି ବାଗ୍ଦତ୍ତା କନ୍ୟା ଡାକ ପକାଇଲା, ତଥାପି ତାହାକୁ ରକ୍ଷା କରିବାକୁ କେହି ନ ଥିଲା।
28 When a man findeth a damsel that is a virgin who is not betrothed, and layeth hold of her and lieth with her, and they are found,
ଯେବେ କୌଣସି ପୁରୁଷ ଅବାଗ୍ଦତ୍ତା କୁମାରୀ କନ୍ୟାକୁ ପାଇ ତାହାକୁ ଧରି ତାହା ସଙ୍ଗେ ଶୟନ କରେ ଓ ସେମାନେ ଧରାପଡ଼ନ୍ତି,
29 then shall the man who lay with her give unto the damsel’s father fifty shekels of silver, —and she shall be, his, wife, because he hath humbled her, he may not put her away, all his days.
ତେବେ ତାହା ସହିତ ଶୟନକାରୀ ସେହି ପୁରୁଷ କନ୍ୟାର ପିତାକୁ ପଚାଶ ଶେକଲ ରୂପା ଦେବ ଓ ସେ ତାହାକୁ ଭ୍ରଷ୍ଟ କରିବାରୁ ସେ ତାହାର ଭାର୍ଯ୍ୟା ହେବ; ସେହି ପୁରୁଷ ତାହାକୁ ଯାବଜ୍ଜୀବନ ତ୍ୟାଗ କରି ପାରିବ ନାହିଁ।
30 A man shall not take his father’s wife, —neither shall he turn aside his father’s coverlet.
କୌଣସି ପୁରୁଷ ଆପଣା ପିତୃଭାର୍ଯ୍ୟାକୁ ଗ୍ରହଣ କରିବ ନାହିଁ ଓ ଆପଣା ପିତାର ଅଞ୍ଚଳ ଅନାବୃତ କରିବ ନାହିଁ।
