< Deuteronomy 20 >
1 When thou shalt go out to wage war against thine enemy, and shalt see the horses and chariots of a people more in number than thou, thou shalt not be afraid of them, —for, Yahweh thy God, is with thee, who brought thee up out of the land of Egypt.
Tango bokokende kobundisa banguna na bino mpe bokomona bampunda, bashar mpe mampinga ya basoda ebele koleka oyo ya bino, bobanga bango te, pamba te Yawe, Nzambe na bino, oyo abimisaki bino na Ejipito, akozala elongo na bino.
2 And it shall be, when ye are coming nigh unto the battle, that the priest shall approach and speak unto the people;
Tango bokobongama mpo na kokende na bitumba, Nganga-Nzambe asengeli koleka liboso ya mampinga mpe koloba na bango
3 and shall say unto them, —Hear, O Israel, ye are coming near to-day, unto battle against your enemies, —let not your heart faint do not fear nor start nor quake because of them.
maloba oyo: « Oh Isalaele, boyoka, awa bobongami lelo mpo na kokende na bitumba mpo na kobundisa banguna na bino; boyika mpiko! Bobanga te! Bolenga te! Bozala na somo te liboso ya banguna na bino.
4 For Yahweh your God, is he that is going with you, —to fight for you against your enemies to save you.
Pamba te Yawe, Nzambe na bino, akotambola elongo na bino mpo na kobundela bino liboso ya banguna na bino mpe kopesa bino elonga. »
5 Then shall the officers speak unto the people saying, Who is the man that hath built a new house and hath not dedicated it? let him go and return unto his house, —lest he die in the battle, and, another man dedicate it.
Bakonzi ya basoda basengeli koloba na mampinga: « Ezali na moko kati na bino oyo awuti kotonga ndako ya sika mpe avandi nanu kuna te? Tika ete azonga na ndako na ye noki te akoki kokufa na bitumba, bongo moto mosusu akoya kovanda moto ya liboso na ndako yango.
6 And who is the man that hath planted a vineyard and hath not thrown it open? let him go and return unto his house, —lest he die in the battle, and another man, throw it open.
Ezali na moto oyo awuti kolona elanga ya vino mpe nanu abuki bambuma ya liboso te? Tika ete azonga na ndako na ye noki te akoki kokufa na bitumba, bongo moto mosusu akoya kozala moto ya liboso mpo na kobuka mbuma ya liboso na elanga na ye.
7 And who is the man that hath betrothed a wife and hath not taken her? let him go and return unto his house, —lest he die in the battle, and, another man, take her.
Ezali na moto oyo awuti kotuna mwasi na libala mpe abali nanu te? Tika ete azonga na ndako, noki te akoki kokufa na bitumba mpe moto mosusu akoya kobala mwasi oyo ye atunaki na libala. »
8 Then shall the officers further speak unto the people, and say—Who is the man that is fearful and faint-hearted? let him go and return unto his house, —lest his brethren’s heart melt as well as his heart.
Bakonzi ya basoda bakoloba lisusu: « Ezali na moto oyo azali kobanga to alembi nzoto? Tika ete azonga na ndako mpo ete alembisa te baninga na ye na bitumba. »
9 And it shall be, when the officers have made an end of speaking unto the people, then shall they appoint captains of hosts at the head of the people.
Bongo tango bakonzi ya basoda bakosilisa koloba na mampinga, bakopona bakonzi mpo na kokamba mampinga.
10 When thou shalt come nigh unto a city, to fight against it, —then shalt thou proclaim unto it—peace,
Tango bokokende kobundisa engumba moko, boyebisa bato ya engumba yango ete bamipesa bango moko na maboko na bino na kimia.
11 and it shall be if peace, be the answer it giveth thee, and it open unto thee, then shall it be, that, all the people that are found therein, shall become thy tributaries and shall serve thee.
Soki bandimi mpe bafungoli bikuke na bango, bokosalisa bato nyonso ya engumba wana misala makasi mpe bakosalela bino.
12 But if it will not make peace with thee, but will make war with thee, then shalt thou lay siege to it;
Kasi soki baboyi kosala kimia elongo na bino mpe babundisi bino, bobundisa engumba wana.
13 and Yahweh thy God will deliver it into thy hand, —and thou shalt smite every male thereof with the edge of the sword;
Tango Yawe, Nzambe na yo, akokaba engumba wana na maboko na yo, okoboma na mopanga bato nyonso oyo bazali kati na yango.
14 but the women and the little ones and the cattle and all that shall be in the city—all the spoil thereof, shalt thou take as thy prey, —so shalt thou eat the spoil of thine enemies, whom Yahweh thy God hath delivered unto thee.
Kasi bokoki kozwa mpo na bino lokola bomengo ya bitumba: basi, bana, bibwele mpe biloko nyonso oyo ezali kati na engumba. Boye bokosalela bomengo ya bitumba oyo ekowuta epai ya banguna na bino oyo Yawe, Nzambe na bino, akokaba na maboko na bino.
15 Thus, shalt thou do unto all the cities that are very far away from thee, —which are not of the cities of those nations.
Ezali ndenge wana nde bokosala bingumba nyonso oyo ezali mosika na bino, bingumba oyo ezali te kati na mokili oyo bokozwa.
16 But of the cities of these peoples which Yahweh thy God is giving unto thee as an inheritance, shalt thou not save alive, any breathing thing.
Kasi mpo na bingumba ya bikolo oyo Yawe, Nzambe na yo, akopesa yo lokola libula, kotika ata eloko moko te na bomoi.
17 But thou shalt devote them to destruction—the Hittites and the Amorites the Canaanites and the Perizzites, the Hivites, and the Jebusites, —as Yahweh thy God hath commanded thee:
Bebisa bango nyonso: bato ya Iti, bato ya Amori, bato ya Kanana, bato ya Perizi, bato ya Evi mpe bato ya Yebusi, ndenge Yawe, Nzambe na yo, atindaki yo
18 lest they teach you to do, according to all their abominations, which they have done unto their gods, —and so ye sin against Yahweh your God.
mpo ete bateya yo te kosala makambo nyonso ya nkele oyo bango basalaka mpo na lokumu ya banzambe na bango; noki te okosala masumu liboso ya Yawe, Nzambe na yo.
19 When thou shalt besiege a city for many days to fight against it, to take it, thou shalt not destroy the trees thereof by wielding against them an axe, when of them, thou mightest eat, them, there-fore shalt thou not cut down, —for, Is the tree of the field, a man, that it should enter, because of thee into the siege?
Tango okobundisa engumba moko tango molayi mpo na kobotola yango, okoki kosimba epasola te mpo na kokata banzete ya engumba yango, pamba te okoki kolia bambuma na yango; kokata yango te. Boni, banzete ekomi bato mpo ete obundisa yango?
20 Nevertheless, the tree of which thou knowest that it is, not a tree yielding food, the same, mayest thou destroy, and cut down, —and so build up a siege-work against the city which is making war with thee, until thou hast subdued it.
Kasi okoki nde kokata banzete oyo oyebi ete ebotaka mbuma te mpo na kosala na yango bibundeli kino engumba yango ekokweya.
