Deuteronomy 10
1 At that time, said Yahweh unto me—Cut thee out two tables of stone like the first, and come up unto me into the mountain, —and make thee an ark of wood;
੧ਉਸ ਵੇਲੇ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਨੇ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਆਖਿਆ, “ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਦੀ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਪੱਥਰ ਦੀਆਂ ਦੋ ਫੱਟੀਆਂ ਘੜ੍ਹ ਕੇ ਬਣਾ ਅਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਲੈ ਕੇ ਮੇਰੇ ਕੋਲ ਪਰਬਤ ਉੱਤੇ ਚੜ੍ਹ ਆ ਅਤੇ ਲੱਕੜੀ ਦਾ ਇੱਕ ਸੰਦੂਕ ਵੀ ਬਣਵਾ।
2 that I may write, upon the tables, the words which were on the first tables which thou brakest in pieces, —then shalt thou put them in the ark.
੨ਮੈਂ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਫੱਟੀਆਂ ਉੱਤੇ ਉਹੋ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਲਿਖਾਂਗਾ, ਜਿਹੜੀਆਂ ਪਹਿਲੀਆਂ ਫੱਟੀਆਂ ਉੱਤੇ ਸਨ, ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਤੂੰ ਭੰਨ ਸੁੱਟਿਆ। ਤੂੰ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਸੰਦੂਕ ਵਿੱਚ ਰੱਖ ਲਵੀਂ।
3 So I made an ark of acacia wood, and cut out two tables of stone like the first, —and went up the mountain, having the two tables in my hand.
੩ਤਦ ਮੈਂ ਬਬੂਲ ਦੀ ਲੱਕੜੀ ਦਾ ਇੱਕ ਸੰਦੂਕ ਬਣਵਾਇਆ ਅਤੇ ਮੈਂ ਪੱਥਰ ਦੀਆਂ ਦੋ ਫੱਟੀਆਂ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਵਾਂਗੂੰ ਘੜ੍ਹ ਕੇ ਬਣਾਈਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਇਹ ਦੋਨੋਂ ਫੱਟੀਆਂ ਆਪਣੇ ਹੱਥਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਲੈ ਕੇ ਮੈਂ ਪਰਬਤ ਉੱਤੇ ਚੜ੍ਹ ਗਿਆ।
4 And he wrote upon the tables according to the first writing—the ten words, which Yahweh had spoken unto you in the mountain, out of the midst of the fire in the day of the convocation, —and Yahweh delivered them unto me.
੪ਤਦ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਫੱਟੀਆਂ ਉੱਤੇ ਲਿਖਿਆ ਜਿਵੇਂ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਲਿਖਿਆ ਸੀ ਅਰਥਾਤ ਉਹ ਦਸ ਹੁਕਮ ਜਿਹੜੇ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਨੇ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਪਰਬਤ ਉੱਤੇ ਅੱਗ ਦੇ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਦੀ ਸਭਾ ਵਾਲੇ ਦਿਨ ਦਿੱਤੇ ਸਨ।” ਫੇਰ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਨੇ ਉਹ ਫੱਟੀਆਂ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਦੇ ਦਿੱਤੀਆਂ।
5 Then turned I, and came down out of the mountain, and put the tables in the ark which I had made, —and they have remained there, as Yahweh commanded me.
੫ਜਦ ਮੈਂ ਪਰਬਤ ਤੋਂ ਉੱਤਰਿਆ ਤਾਂ ਮੈਂ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਫੱਟੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਉਸ ਸੰਦੂਕ ਵਿੱਚ ਰੱਖ ਦਿੱਤਾ, ਜਿਹੜਾ ਮੈਂ ਬਣਵਾਇਆ ਸੀ ਅਤੇ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦੇ ਹੁਕਮ ਅਨੁਸਾਰ ਉਹ ਉੱਥੇ ਹੀ ਹਨ।
6 And, the sons of Israel, set forward out of Beeroth Bene-jaakan to Moserah, —there, died Aaron and was buried there, and Eleazar his son became priest in his stead.
੬ਇਸਰਾਏਲੀਆਂ ਨੇ ਯਆਕਾਨੀਆਂ ਦੇ ਬਏਰੋਥ ਤੋਂ ਮੋਸੇਰਾਹ ਤੱਕ ਕੂਚ ਕੀਤਾ। ਉੱਥੇ ਹਾਰੂਨ ਮਰ ਗਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਉੱਥੇ ਹੀ ਦੱਬਿਆ ਗਿਆ, ਤਦ ਉਸ ਦਾ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਅਲਆਜ਼ਾਰ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਸਥਾਨ ਤੇ ਜਾਜਕਾਈ ਦਾ ਕੰਮ ਕਰਨ ਲੱਗਾ।
7 From thence, set they forward unto the Gudgodah, —and from the Gudgodah to Jotbathah, a land of torrents of water.
੭ਉੱਥੋਂ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਗੁਦਗੋਦਾਹ ਨੂੰ ਕੂਚ ਕੀਤਾ। ਫੇਰ ਗੁਦਗੋਦਾਹ ਤੋਂ ਯਾਟਬਾਥਾਹ ਨੂੰ ਜਿਹੜਾ ਪਾਣੀ ਦੀਆਂ ਨਦੀਆਂ ਦਾ ਦੇਸ਼ ਸੀ।
8 At that time, did Yahweh separate the tribe of Levi, to bear the ark of the covenant of Yahweh, —to stand before Yahweh to wait upon him and to bless in his name (until this day).
੮ਉਸ ਸਮੇਂ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਨੇ ਲੇਵੀ ਦੇ ਗੋਤ ਨੂੰ ਵੱਖਰਾ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਤਾਂ ਜੋ ਉਹ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦੇ ਨੇਮ ਦੇ ਸੰਦੂਕ ਨੂੰ ਚੁੱਕਿਆ ਕਰਨ ਅਤੇ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦੇ ਅੱਗੇ ਖੜ੍ਹੇ ਰਹਿ ਕੇ ਉਸ ਦੀ ਟਹਿਲ ਸੇਵਾ ਕਰਨ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਨਾਮ ਉੱਤੇ ਅਸੀਸ ਦਿਆ ਕਰਨ, ਜਿਵੇਂ ਅੱਜ ਦੇ ਦਿਨ ਤੱਕ ਦਿੰਦੇ ਆਏ ਹਨ।
9 For this cause, hath Levi neither portion nor inheritance with his brethren, —Yahweh, is his inheritance, as Yahweh thy God spake unto him.
੯ਇਸ ਕਾਰਨ ਲੇਵੀ ਦਾ ਆਪਣੇ ਭਰਾਵਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਕੋਈ ਭਾਗ ਜਾਂ ਵਿਰਾਸਤ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੈ। ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਹੀ ਉਸ ਦੀ ਵਿਰਾਸਤ ਹੈ, ਜਿਵੇਂ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਨੇ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਆਖਿਆ ਸੀ।
10 But, I, stayed in the mountain according to the former days, forty days and forty nights, —and Yahweh hearkened unto me at that time also, Yahweh was not willing, to destroy thee.
੧੦ਮੈਂ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਦੀ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਫੇਰ ਚਾਲ੍ਹੀ ਦਿਨ ਅਤੇ ਚਾਲ੍ਹੀ ਰਾਤਾਂ ਪਰਬਤ ਉੱਤੇ ਰਿਹਾ, ਤਾਂ ਉਸ ਵੇਲੇ ਵੀ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਨੇ ਮੇਰੀ ਸੁਣ ਲਈ ਅਤੇ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਨੇ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਨਾਸ ਕਰਨਾ ਨਾ ਚਾਹਿਆ।
11 So then Yahweh said unto me, Up with thee—to break away onward, before the people, —that they may enter in and possess the land, which I sware unto their fathers, to give unto them.
੧੧ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਨੇ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਆਖਿਆ, “ਉੱਠ ਅਤੇ ਇਸ ਪਰਜਾ ਦੇ ਅੱਗੇ-ਅੱਗੇ ਕੂਚ ਕਰ ਤਾਂ ਜੋ ਉਹ ਜਾ ਕੇ ਉਸ ਦੇਸ਼ ਉੱਤੇ ਅਧਿਕਾਰ ਕਰ ਲੈਣ ਜਿਸ ਨੂੰ ਦੇਣ ਦੀ ਸਹੁੰ ਮੈਂ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਪੁਰਖਿਆਂ ਨਾਲ ਖਾਧੀ ਸੀ।”
12 Now, therefore, O Israel, what is, Yahweh thy God, asking of thee, —but to revere Yahweh thy God to walk in all his ways, and to love him, and to serve Yahweh thy God, with all thy heart, and with all thy soul:
੧੨ਹੇ ਇਸਰਾਏਲ, ਹੁਣ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਤੁਹਾਡਾ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਤੋਂ ਹੋਰ ਕੀ ਚਾਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ, ਸਿਰਫ਼ ਇਹ ਕਿ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਆਪਣੇ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦਾ ਭੈਅ ਮੰਨੋ, ਉਸ ਦੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਰਾਹਾਂ ਉੱਤੇ ਚੱਲੋ, ਉਸ ਨਾਲ ਪ੍ਰੇਮ ਰੱਖੋ ਅਤੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਮਨ ਅਤੇ ਆਪਣੀ ਸਾਰੀ ਜਾਨ ਨਾਲ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਆਪਣੇ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦੀ ਉਪਾਸਨਾ ਕਰੋ।
13 to keep the commandments of Yahweh and his statutes, which I am commanding thee to-day, —for thy good?
੧੩ਤੁਸੀਂ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਆਪਣੇ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਹੁਕਮਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਬਿਧੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਮੰਨੋ ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦਾ ਮੈਂ ਅੱਜ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਤੁਹਾਡੀ ਭਲਿਆਈ ਲਈ ਹੁਕਮ ਦਿੰਦਾ ਹਾਂ।
14 Lo! unto Yahweh thy God, belong the heavens even the highest heavens, —the earth, with all that is therein.
੧੪ਵੇਖੋ, ਅਕਾਸ਼ ਸਗੋਂ ਅਕਾਸ਼ਾਂ ਦਾ ਅਕਾਸ਼ ਅਤੇ ਧਰਤੀ ਅਤੇ ਜੋ ਕੁਝ ਉਸ ਵਿੱਚ ਹੈ, ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦਾ ਹੈ।
15 Only unto thy fathers, Yahweh became attached so as to love them, —therefore made he choice of their seed after them—of you—out of all the peoples, (as at this day).
੧੫ਸਿਰਫ਼ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਪੁਰਖਿਆਂ ਨਾਲ ਪ੍ਰਸੰਨ ਹੋ ਕੇ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਪ੍ਰੇਮ ਕਰਦਾ ਸੀ ਅਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਬਾਅਦ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਵੰਸ਼ ਅਰਥਾਤ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਸਾਰੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਚੁਣ ਲਿਆ, ਜਿਵੇਂ ਅੱਜ ਦੇ ਦਿਨ ਹੈ।
16 Therefore must ye circumcise the foreskin of your hearts, —and your necks, must ye stiffen no more.
੧੬ਆਪਣੇ ਮਨਾਂ ਦੀ ਸੁੰਨਤ ਕਰਾਓ ਅਤੇ ਅੱਗੇ ਨੂੰ ਹਠੀਲੇ ਨਾ ਬਣੋ,
17 For as touching Yahweh your God, he, is God of gods, and Lord of lords; the great the mighty, and the fearful GOD, who respecteth not persons, nor accepteth a bribe;
੧੭ਕਿਉਂ ਜੋ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਤੁਹਾਡਾ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰਾਂ ਦਾ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂਆਂ ਦਾ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਹੈ। ਉਹ ਮਹਾਨ, ਸ਼ਕਤੀਮਾਨ ਅਤੇ ਭੈਅ ਦਾਇਕ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਹੈ, ਜਿਹੜਾ ਕਿਸੇ ਦਾ ਪੱਖਪਾਤ ਨਹੀਂ ਕਰਦਾ ਅਤੇ ਨਾ ਕਿਸੇ ਤੋਂ ਰਿਸ਼ਵਤ ਲੈਂਦਾ ਹੈ।
18 executing the vindication of the orphan and the widow, —and loving a sojourner, giving him food and raiment.
੧੮ਉਹ ਯਤੀਮ ਅਤੇ ਵਿਧਵਾ ਦਾ ਨਿਆਂ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਪਰਦੇਸੀ ਨਾਲ ਪ੍ਰੇਮ ਰੱਖਦਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਰੋਟੀ ਅਤੇ ਕੱਪੜਾ ਦੇਵੇ।
19 Therefore shall ye love the sojourner, —for sojourners, became ye in the land of Egypt.
੧੯ਤੁਸੀਂ ਵੀ ਪਰਦੇਸੀ ਨਾਲ ਪ੍ਰੇਮ ਰੱਖੋ ਕਿਉਂ ਜੋ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਵੀ ਮਿਸਰ ਦੇਸ਼ ਵਿੱਚ ਪਰਦੇਸੀ ਸੀ।
20 Yahweh thy God, shalt thou revere, Him, shalt thou serve, —And unto him, shalt thou cleave, And in his name, shalt thou swear.
੨੦ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਆਪਣੇ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦਾ ਭੈਅ ਮੰਨੋ, ਉਸੇ ਦੀ ਉਪਾਸਨਾ ਕਰੋ, ਉਸ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ ਲੱਗੇ ਰਹੋ ਅਤੇ ਉਸੇ ਦੇ ਨਾਮ ਉੱਤੇ ਸਹੁੰ ਖਾਓ।
21 He, is thy song of praise, And, he, thy God, —who hath done with thee these great and fearful things, which thine own eyes have seen.
੨੧ਉਹ ਹੀ ਤੁਹਾਡੀ ਮਹਿਮਾ ਦੇ ਯੋਗ ਹੈ। ਉਹ ਤੁਹਾਡਾ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਹੈ, ਜਿਸ ਨੇ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਲਈ ਇਹ ਵੱਡੇ ਅਤੇ ਭਿਆਨਕ ਕੰਮ ਕੀਤੇ ਹਨ, ਜਿਹੜੇ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਆਪਣੀਆਂ ਅੱਖਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਵੇਖੇ ਹਨ।
22 As seventy souls, went thy fathers down to Egypt, —and, now, Yahweh thy God hath made thee like the stars of the heavens for multitude.
੨੨ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਪਿਉ-ਦਾਦੇ ਜਦ ਮਿਸਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਗਏ ਤਦ ਉਹ ਸੱਤਰ ਪ੍ਰਾਣੀ ਹੀ ਸਨ, ਅਤੇ ਹੁਣ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਨੇ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਅਕਾਸ਼ ਦੇ ਤਾਰਿਆਂ ਵਾਂਗੂੰ ਵਧਾਇਆ ਹੈ।
