Daniel 12
1 And, at that time, will Michael, the great ruler who standeth for the sons of thy people, make a stand, and there will be a time of trouble, such as never was since there was a nation, up to that time, —and, at that time, shall thy people, be delivered, every one found written in the book;
“En ese momento se levantará Miguel, el gran príncipe, el protector de tu pueblo, y habrá un tiempo de angustia como nunca antes, desde que existen las naciones. Pero en ese momento se salvará tu pueblo, todos cuyos nombres están escritos en el libro.
2 and, many of the sleepers in the dusty ground, shall awake, —these, [shall be] to age-abiding life, but, those, to reproach, and age-abiding abhorrence;
Millones dormidos en la tierra en la muerte despertarán, unos a la vida eterna, y otros a la vergüenza y a la desgracia eternas.
3 and, they who make wise, shall shine like the shining of the expanse, —and, they who bring the many to righteousness, like the stars to times age-abiding and beyond.
Los sabios brillarán como el cielo; los que han enseñado a muchos el buen camino de la vida brillarán como las estrellas por los siglos de los siglos.
4 But, thou, Daniel, close up the words, and seal the book, until the time of the end, —many will run to and fro, and knowledge, shall abound.
“Pero en cuanto a ti, Daniel, mantén este mensaje en secreto, y sella el libro cerrado hasta el tiempo del fin. Muchos buscarán por aquí y por allá, y el conocimiento será cada vez mayor”.
5 Then, I, Daniel, looked, and lo! two others, standing, —one on this side of the bank of the river, and one on that side of the bank of the river.
Entonces yo, Daniel, me fijé en otros dos, que estaban de pie en lados opuestos del río.
6 And one said to the man clothed with linen, who was upon the waters of the river, How long shall be the end of the wonders?
Uno de ellos preguntó al hombre vestido de lino que estaba por encima de las aguas del río, “¿Cuánto tiempo pasará antes de que estas cosas escandalosas se acaben?”
7 And I heard the man clothed with linen who was upon the waters of the river, when he held up his right hand and his left unto the heavens, and sware by him that liveth unto times age-abiding, —For a set time and times and a half, and, when the dispersion of a part of the holy people, is brought to an end, then shall come to an end all these things.
El hombre vestido de lino, que estaba por encima de las aguas del río, levantó ambas manos al cielo e hizo una promesa solemne por Aquel que vive eternamente. Le oí decir: “Durará un tiempo, tiempos y medio tiempo. Cuando la dispersión del poder del pueblo santo ha llegado a su fin, entonces todas estas cosas también llegarán a su fin”.
8 And, I, heard, but could not understand, —so I said, O my lord! what shall be the issue of these things?
Escuché la respuesta, pero no la entendí. Así que pregunté: “Mi señor, ¿cuál es el resultado final de todo esto?”
9 Then said he, Go thy way, Daniel; for closed up and sealed are the words, until the time of the end.
“Daniel, ya puedes seguir tu camino”, respondió, “porque este mensaje es secreto y se mantiene sellado hasta el tiempo del fin.
10 Many, will purify themselves and be made white and be refined, but the lawless, will act lawlessly, and none of the lawless, shall understand, —but, they who make wise, shall understand;
“Muchos serán purificados, limpiados y refinados, pero los malvados seguirán siendo malvados. Ninguno de los malvados entenderá, pero los sabios sí.
11 and, from the time of the taking away of the continual [ascending-sacrifice], and the placing of the horrid abomination that astoundeth, [shall be] one thousand two hundred and ninety days.
Desde el momento en que el ministerio continuo se detiene para establecer la idolatría que causa la desolación serán mil doscientos noventa días.
12 Happy! is he that waiteth, and attaineth to one thousand three hundred and thirty-five days.
Bienaventurados los que esperan pacientemente y llegan a los mil trescientos treinta y cinco días.
13 But, thou, go thy way to the end, —and thou shalt rest, and shalt rise to thy lot at the end of the days.
“Pero en cuanto a ti, sigue tu camino hasta que tu vida termine, y luego descansa. Te levantarás para recibir tu recompensa al final de los tiempos”.
