Acts 8
1 And, Saul, was taking pleasure with them in his death. Moreover there arose, in that day, a great persecution against the assembly which was in Jerusalem; [and], all, were scattered abroad throughout the countries of Judaea and Samaria, except the apostles.

2 Howbeit reverent men assisted at the burial of Stephen, and made great lamentation over him.

3 But, Saul, went on to lay waste the assembly, along the houses, going in, and, dragging off both men and women, was

4 They, indeed, therefore, who were scattered abroad, passed through, telling the good-news of the word;

5 And, Philip, going down unto the city of Samaria, proclaimed unto them the Christ.
Titia Philip Samaria sheher te jai kene manu khan ke Khrista laga kotha prochar kori dise.
6 And the multitudes began to give heed unto the things that were being spoken by Philip, with one accord, when they heard him, and saw the signs which he was working.
Aru Philip ki kotha prochar korise, taikhan mon dikene hunise, aru tai kori diya asurit kaam khan dikhise.
7 For, from many who had impure spirits, shouting with a loud voice, they were going out, and, many that were paralysed and lame, were cured.
Bisi manu bhitor te dusto atma khan thakise, aru eitu khan taikhan pora ulai jaise, jor pora hala kori kene. Bisi manu jothor aru lengra khan bhi changai paise.
8 And there came to be great joy in that city.
Aru etu sheher manu khan bisi khushi korise.
9 But, a certain man named Simon, was already in the city, practising magical arts, and astonishing the nation of Samaria, —saying that himself was someone great:
Kintu ta te Simon koi kene ekjon manu thakise, tai jadu montor kori kene Samaria manu khan ke asurit kori dise, aru tai nijorke ekjon dangor manu ase koi thake.
10 Unto whom all were giving heed, from small even to great, saying—This, is the Power of God, which is called Great.
Aru sob Samaria manu chutu pora dangor tak tai laga kotha bhal pora huni thakise aru koise, “Etu manu logote Isor laga takot ase.”
11 And they were giving heed to him, because that, for a considerable time, with his magical arts, he had astonished them.
Tai laga kotha manu khan hune, kelemane bisi homoi pora tai jadu montor kori kene manu khan ke asurit kaam dikhai thakise, etu karone taikhan tai laga kotha mani thakise.
12 But, when they believed Philip telling the good news concerning the kingdom of God, and the name of Jesus Christ, they proceeded to be immersed, both men and women.
Kintu jitia taikhan Philip ke biswas korise, aru tai Isor laga rajyo kotha aru Jisu Khrista laga naam ke prochar korise, bisi mota aru maiki khan baptizma loise.
13 And, Simon himself also, believed; and, having been immersed, was in constant attendance on Philip, —and, beholding signs and great works of power coming to pass, was astonished.

14 And the Apostles who were in Jerusalem, hearing that Samaria had welcomed the word of God, sent out unto them Peter and John;

15 Who, indeed, going down, prayed for them, that they might receive Holy Spirit; —

16 For, not yet, had it, upon any one of them, fallen, but, only, to begin with, they had been immersed into the name of the Lord Jesus.
Kelemane Pobitro Atma taikhan logote aha nai, kintu taikhan Probhu Jisu naam pora khali baptizma he loi kene thaka karone.
17 Then, proceeded they to lay their hands upon them, and they were receiving Holy Spirit.
Titia Peter aru John taikhan uporte hath rakhi kene prathana kori dise, aru taikhan Pobitro Atma paise.
18 But Simon, seeing that, through means of the laying on of the hands of the Apostles, the Spirit was being given, offered unto them money,

19 Saying—Give unto me also this authority, —in order that, on whomsoever may lay my hands, he may receive Holy Spirit.
Titia tai koise, “Moike bhi etu adhikar dibi, ta te moi jun uporte hath rakhibo tai Pobitro Atma pabo.”
20 And Peter said unto him—Thy silver, with thee, go to destruction! Because, the free-gift of God, thou didst suppose could, with money, be obtained!
Kintu Peter taike koise, tumi laga poisa tumi logote khotom hoi jabo, kelemane tumi Isor laga bordan poisa pora kini bole bhabi ase.
21 Thou hast neither part nor lot in this matter; for, thy heart, is not upright before God.
Tumi laga yate eku bhag aru hisa nai, kelemane Probhu usorte tumi laga mon thik nohoi.
22 Repent, therefore, from this thy baseness, and entreat of the Lord—whether, after all, the purpose of thy heart shall be forgiven thee;
Etu nimite mon ghura bhi aru biya bhabona pora ulabi, aru Probhu usorte prathana koribi, titia Tai pora tumi laga letera mon aru biya bhabona pora maph kori dibo pare.
23 For see that thou servest as a gall-root of bitterness, and a bond of unrighteousness.
Kelemane moi dikhi ase tumi laga biya bhabona aru paap pora bandi thaka mon to.”
24 And Simon, answering, said—Entreat ye, in my behalf, unto the Lord; that, nothing, may come upon me, of the things whereof ye have spoken!
Titia Simon koise, “Probhu logot moi nimite prathana kori dibi, apuni pora ki koise etu moi uporte nahibole nimite.”
25 They, therefore, having fully borne witness, and spoken the word of the Lord, began their return unto Jerusalem, and, unto many villages of the Samaritans, were they telling the glad tidings.
Jitia taikhan Isor kotha koi dise aru sakhi korise, Peter aru John wapas Jerusalem te jaise, aru Samaria manu laga bosti khan te jai kene Isor laga kotha prochar korise.
26 And, a messenger of the Lord, spake unto Philip, saying—Arise, and be journeying along southward, unto the way that goeth down from Jerusalem unto Gaza, —the same, is desert.
Titia Probhu laga sorgodoth Philip logote kotha korise, aru koise, “Uthibi aru dakshin laga rasta jun to Jerusalem hoi kene Gaza te jai ta te jabi.”- Etu rasta balu laga jaga pora jai.
27 And, arising, he journeyed. And lo! a man of Ethiopia, a eunuch, one in power under Candace queen of the Ethiopians, who was over all her treasure [who] had come to worship in Jerusalem;
Titia tai uthi kene jaise. Aru ta te Ethiopia laga ekjon hijira manu thakise, tai ekjon dangor adhikar chola manu thakise, tai Candace, Ethiopia laga rani laga dhun sampoti sa-a manu asele, aru tai mohima kori bole Jerusalem te jai thakise.
28 And was returning, and, sitting in his chariot, and was reading the prophet Isaiah.
Aru tai laga ghora gaari te bohi kene wapas ghor te jai thakise, aru Isaiah bhabobadi laga kitab porhi thakise.
29 And the Spirit said unto Philip—Go near, and join thyself unto this chariot!
Titia Atma pora Philip ke koise, “Jai kene ghora gari usorte bohibi.”
30 And, running near, Philip heard him reading Isaiah the prophet, and said—Dost thou, then, understand what thou art reading?
Titia Philip tai usorte polaikene jaise, aru Tai Isaiah bhabobadi laga kitab porhi thaka hunise, aru koise, “Tumi ki porhi ase etu bujhi pai ase?”
31 And, he, said—How indeed should be able—unless someone shall guide me? And he called upon Philip, to come up and sit with him.
Titia tai koise, “Moi kineka janibo, jitia tak moike kunba pora nashikai?” Titia tai Philip ke ghora gari te bohi bole matise.
32 Now, the passage of Scripture which he was reading, was, this: —As a sheep, unto slaughter, was he led, and, as a lamb, before him that sheareth it, is dumb, so, he openeth not his mouth.
Etiya jun to kitab Ethiopia manu pora porhi thakise etu eneka thakise, “Taike ekta mer bolidan dibole nisena loi jaise, Aru jineka mer bacha pora chuli kata manu usorte chup-chap pora bohe, Etu nisena, aru Tai pora Tai laga mukh khula nai.
33 In his humiliation, his judgment was taken away, —his generation, who shall describe? because, his life, is taken away from the earth.
Tai laga bisar sorom khilai dikene Tai usor pora loi jaise. Kun Tai laga manu khan ase koi kene kobo pare? Kelemane Tai laga jibon to etu duniya pora uthai loise.”
34 And the eunuch, making answer unto Philip, said—I pray thee! Of whom, is the prophet saying this? of himself, or, of some different person?
Titia hijira pora Philip ke hudise, “Moi apuni ke anurodh kori ase, kun bhabobadi laga kotha koi ase, tai nijor laga koi ase, na dusra manu laga kotha koi ase?”
35 And Philip, opening his mouth, and beginning from this scripture, told him the glad tidings of Jesus.
Titia Philip tai mukh khuli se, aru Isor kotha pora shuru kori kene, Jisu laga kotha taike prochar korise.
36 And, as they were journeying along the way, they came unto a certain water, —and the eunuch saith—Lo! water! What doth hinder my being immersed?
Taikhan rasta te jai thaka homoi te pani thaka jagah ponchise, titia hijira pora koise, “Sabi, yate pani ase, moike baptizma lobole nimite ki pora rukhai ase?’”
Titia Philip pora koise, “Jodi tumi mon pora biswas kore, baptizma lobo pare.” Titia tai koise, “Moi biswas kore Jisu Khrista Isor laga chokra ase koi kene.”
38 And he commanded the chariot to stand still; and they went down, both, into the water, both Philip and the eunuch, —and he immersed him.
Titia tai ghora gari ke rukhibole hukum dise. Aru Philip aru hijira duijon panite namikene jaise, aru Philip pora taike baptizma dise.
39 But, when they came up out of the water, the Spirit of the Lord caught away Philip, and the eunuch saw him no more; for he was going on his way rejoicing.

40 Now Philip was found at Azotus; and, passing through, he was telling the glad tidings unto all the cities, until he came unto Caesarea.
Kintu Philip to Azotus te ahise, aru pura jagate tai jaise, jitia tak tai Caesarea puncha nai, tai sob sheher khan te jai kene Isor laga kotha prochar korise.
