< Acts 14 >

1 And it came to pass in Iconium that they together entered into the synagogue of the Jews, and so spake that there believed, both of Jews and Greeks, a great throng.

2 But, the unpersuaded Jews, roused up and provoked the souls of them of the nations against the brethren.
Lakini Bhayahudi bhabhalii bhabhachochili luhala bhamataifa ni kubhabhomba khujha bhbhibhi dhidi jha ndongo.
3 A good while, therefore, tarried they, using boldness of speech [in dependence] upon the Lord, who was bearing witness unto his word of favour, granting signs and wonders to be coming to pass through their hands.
Kwa hiyo bhatamili okhu kwa muda mrefu, bhaka jhabhilongela kwa ujasiri kwa ngofu, jha Bwana, kuni ipisya uthibitisho kuhusu ujumbe bhwa neema jha muene. Abhombi naha kwa kubhosya isshara ni maajabu fibhombibhwayi kwa mabhoko gha Paulo ni Barnaba.
4 And the throng of the city was divided; and some indeed were with the Jews, while some were with the apostles.
Lakini lieneo libhaha lya mji lyagabhwanyiki baadhi jha bhanu bhajhele pamonga ni Bhayahudi ni baadhi pamonga ni mitume.
5 But, when there took place an assault both of them of the nations and of the Jews, with their rulers, to maltreat and to stone them,
Bwakati bhamataifa ni Bhayahudi bhobhajaribu kubhashawishi bhalongosi bha bhene kubhabhombela vibaya ni kubhaponda ni maganga Paulo ni Barnaba,
6 They became aware of it, and fled unto the cities of Lycaonia, Lystra and Derbe, and the surrounding country;
Bhakalimanya e'lu ni kujumbila mu miji ghya Likonia, Listra ni Derbe, ni maeneo ghaghisyongo'ka pala,
7 And, there, were they announcing the glad tidings.
ni okhu bhahubiri injili.
8 And, a certain man in Lystra, impotent in his feet, was sitting, —lame from his mother’s womb, who never had walked.
Ni okhu Listra pajhele ni munu mmonga jhaatameghe, ajhelepi ni ngofu mumagolo gha muene, kilema kuhomela mu lileme lya nyinamunu, abhwayilepi kugenda.
9 This man, hearkened unto Paul, as he was speaking, —who, looking steadfastly at him, and seeing he had faith to be made well,
Munu ojho ampeliki Paulo ilongela. Paulo ankazili mihu ni kubhona ajhele ni imani jha kunyesibhwa.
10 Said, with a loud voice—Stand up on thy feet, erect! And he sprang up, and began to walk about.
Hivyo ajobhili kwa muene kwa sauti mbaha, “Jhemayi kwa magolo gha jhobhi” Ni munu jhola aniki kunani ni kuyanda kugenda.
11 And, the multitudes, seeing what Paul had done, lifted up their voice, in the speech of Lycaonia—The gods, made like unto men, have come down unto us!
Bhumati bho bhubhwene kya abhombili Paulo bhajhinuili sauti sya bhene bhakajha bhijobha kwa lahaja jha kitikanio, “Miungu jhituselelili kwa namna jha binadamu.”
12 And they went on to call Barnabas, Jupiter, and Paul, Mercury, seeing that, he, was the leader of discourse.
Bhan'kutili Barnaba “Zeu,” ni Paulo “Herme.” Kwa ndabha ajhele msemaji mbaha.
13 Also, the priest of the Jupiter that was before the city, bringing bulls and garlands unto the gates, with the multitudes, would have offered sacrifice.
Kuhani ghwa Zeu, ambajhe hekalu lya muene lyajhele kwibhala ku mji aletili fahari la ng'ombe ni ntongo ghwa maua mpaka ku ndiangu ghwa mji muene ni umati bhalondeghe kuhomesya sadaka.
14 But the apostles Barnabas and Paul, hearing of it, rending asunder their own mantles, sprang forward amidst the multitude, crying aloud,
Lakini mitume, Barnaba ni Paulo, bho bhalipeliki e'le, bharaneili maguanda gha bhene manyata bhakalota kubhala ku umati bhilela.
15 and saying—Men! Why, these things, are ye doing? We also, of like nature with you, are men, bringing you the good news, that from these vain things, ye should be turning unto a living God: —Who made heaven and the earth and the sea and all things therein;
Ni kajobha, “Enyi bhanu, kwandayakiki mwibhomba mambo agha? ni tete kabhele twebha binadamu bhenye ligoga kama lya muenga. Tukabhaletela habari njema, kwamba mgeukayi kuhomela mu fiti efufya fitondikalepi ni kulota kwa K'yara jha ajhe hai jhaabhombi mbingu, dunia ni bahari ni khila khenu kyakijhele.
16 Who in the bygone generations suffered all the nations to be going on in their own ways, —
Mu nyakati sya silotili, abharuhuisi mataifa kugenda mu njela sya bhene.
17 Although, not without witness, he left himself, doing good, from heaven, upon you, giving rain and fruitful seasons, filling, with food and gladness, your hearts.
Lakini bado abhokilepi bila shahidi, kwa e'lu abhombi kinofu na abhapelili fula kuhoma kumbinguni ni nyakati sya mazao akajhimemesya mioyo ghinu kwa fyakulya ni furaha.
18 Even these things, saying, scarcely restrained they the multitudes from offering sacrifice unto them.
Hata kwa malobhi agha Paulo ni Barnaba kwa shida bhakauzuila umati kubhasopela sadaka.
19 But there came thither, from Antioch and Iconium, Jews, and, persuading the multitudes, and stoning Paul, they dragged him outside the city, supposing him to be dead.
Lakini baadhi jha Bhayahudi kuhomela Antiokia ni Ikonio bhahidili kuushawishi umati. Bhan'homelili maganga Paulo ni kundundusya hadi kwibhala ku mji, bhakajha bhitegemela afuili.
20 Howbeit, the disciples surrounding him, he rose up, and entered into the city. And, on the morrow, he went forth, with Barnabas, unto Derbe.
Hata naha bhanafunzi bhajhele bhajhemili karibu nabhu ajhu muiki, bhakajhingila ku nyini. Ligono lya pili, alotili Derbe ni Barnaba.
21 Delivering the good news unto that city also, and making a good number of disciples, they returned unto Lystra, and unto Iconium, and unto Antioch, —
Baada jha kumanyisya injili mu mjibhola ni kubhabhomba bhanafunzi bhamehele bhakerebhuiki Listra, hadi Ikoniamu, ni hadi Antiookia.
22 confirming the souls of the disciples, beseeching them to abide in the faith, and [declaring] that, through many tribulations, must we enter into the kingdom of God.
Bhajhendelili kuiman'sya nafsi sya bhanafunzi ni kupelibhwa muoyo kujhendelela mu imani, akajoobha, “Lazima tujhingilayi ku ufalme bhwa K'yara kwa kupetela malombosi ghamehele.
23 Moreover, appointing unto them by vote, in each assembly, elders, praying with fastings, they commended them unto the Lord on whom they had believed.
Bho bhabha teuili kwa ndabha jha bhene bhaseya kwa kila likusanyiku lya bhaaminio na bhakajha bhas'okili ni kufunga, bhabhakabidhi kwa Bwana, ambajhe bhene bhamwaminili.
24 And, passing through Pisidia, they came into Pamphylia;
Kisha bhapelili kupisidia, bhafikili pamfilia.
25 and, speaking in Perga the word, they came down unto Attalia;
Bhwakati bhalongili malobhi perga, bhaselili kulota Atalia.
26 and, from thence, they set sail for Antioch, whence they had been given up unto the favour of God for the work which they had fulfilled.
Kuhoma okhu bhakweli meli hadi Antiokia ambako bhajhele bhakihomisi kwa neema jha K'yara kwa ndabha jha mbombo ambayo henu bhajhele bhaikamilisi.
27 And, when they had arrived and gathered together the assembly, they began recounting how many things God had done with them, and that he had opened, unto the nations, a door of faith.
Bhobhafikili okhu Antiokia, ni kulibhonganiya, likusanyiku lya pamonga, bhakapisya taarifa jha mambo ambagho K'yara agha bhombi kwa bhene, ni jinsi kya abhadendeilili ndiangu ghwa imani kwa bhanu bha mataifa.
28 And they spent no little time with the disciples.
