Acts 10
1 But, a certain man in Caesarea, by name Cornelius, a centurion of the band called Italian, —
ไกสริยานคร อิตาลิยาขฺยไสนฺยานฺตรฺคต: กรฺณีลิยนามา เสนาปติราสีตฺ
2 Devout, and fearing God with all his house, doing many alms unto the people, and supplicating God continually,
ส สปริวาโร ภกฺต อีศฺวรปรายณศฺจาสีตฺ; โลเกโภฺย พหูนิ ทานาทีนิ ทตฺวา นิรนฺตรมฺ อีศฺวเร ปฺรารฺถยาญฺจเกฺรฯ
3 Saw, in a vision, manifestly, as if about the ninth hour of the day, a messenger of God, coming in unto him, and saying unto him—Cornelius!
เอกทา ตฺฤตียปฺรหรเวลายำ ส ทฺฤษฺฏวานฺ อีศฺวรไสฺยโก ทูต: สปฺรกาศํ ตตฺสมีปมฺ อาคตฺย กถิตวานฺ, เห กรฺณีลิยฯ
4 And he, looking steadfastly at him, and becoming full of fear, said—What is it, Lord? And he said unto him—Thy prayers and thine alms, have gone up for a memorial before God.
กินฺตุ ส ตํ ทฺฤษฺฏฺวา ภีโต'กถยตฺ, เห ปฺรโภ กึ? ตทา ตมวทตฺ ตว ปฺรารฺถนา ทานาทิ จ สากฺษิสฺวรูปํ ภูเตฺวศฺวรสฺย โคจรมภวตฺฯ
5 Now, therefore, send men unto Joppa, and fetch one Simon who is surnamed Peter, —
อิทานีํ ยาโผนครํ ปฺรติ โลกานฺ เปฺรษฺย สมุทฺรตีเร ศิโมนฺนามฺนศฺจรฺมฺมการสฺย คฺฤเห ปฺรวาสการี ปิตรนามฺนา วิขฺยาโต ย: ศิโมนฺ ตมฺ อาหฺวายย;
6 The same is a guest with one Simon a tanner, whose house is by the sea.
ตสฺมาตฺ ตฺวยา ยทฺยตฺ กรฺตฺตวฺยํ ตตฺตตฺ ส วทิษฺยติฯ
7 And, when the messenger who had been speaking with him had departed, calling two of the domestics, and a devout soldier of them that constantly attended him,
อิตฺยุปทิศฺย ทูเต ปฺรสฺถิเต สติ กรฺณีลิย: สฺวคฺฤหสฺถานำ ทาสานำ เทฺวา ชเนา นิตฺยํ สฺวสงฺคินำ ไสนฺยานามฺ เอกำ ภกฺตเสนาญฺจาหูย
8 And relating everything unto them, he sent them off unto Joppa.
สกลเมตํ วฺฤตฺตานฺตํ วิชฺญาปฺย ยาโผนครํ ตานฺ ปฺราหิโณตฺฯ
9 Now, on the morrow, as those men were journeying, and, unto the city, drawing near, Peter went up on the housetop to pray, about the sixth hour;
ปรสฺมินฺ ทิเน เต ยาตฺรำ กฺฤตฺวา ยทา นครสฺย สมีป อุปาติษฺฐนฺ, ตทา ปิตโร ทฺวิตียปฺรหรเวลายำ ปฺรารฺถยิตุํ คฺฤหปฺฤษฺฐมฺ อาโรหตฺฯ
10 But he became hungry, and wished to eat, —and, while they were making ready, there came upon him a trance;
เอตสฺมินฺ สมเย กฺษุธารฺตฺต: สนฺ กิญฺจิทฺ โภกฺตุมฺ ไอจฺฉตฺ กินฺตุ เตษามฺ อนฺนาสาทนสมเย ส มูรฺจฺฉิต: สนฺนปตตฺฯ
11 And he beholdeth heaven opened, and, corning down, a kind of vessel, like a large linen cloth, by its four corners, being let down upon the earth,
ตโต เมฆทฺวารํ มุกฺตํ จตุรฺภิ: โกไณ รฺลมฺพิตํ พฺฤหทฺวสฺตฺรมิว กิญฺจน ภาชนมฺ อากาศาตฺ ปฺฤถิวีมฺ อวาโรหตีติ ทฺฤษฺฏวานฺฯ
12 In which were all the quadrupeds and creeping things of earth and birds of heaven.
ตนฺมเธฺย นานปฺรการา คฺรามฺยวนฺยปศว: เขจโรโรคามิปฺรภฺฤตโย ชนฺตวศฺจาสนฺฯ
13 And there came a voice unto him—Rise, Peter! slay and eat.
อนนฺตรํ เห ปิตร อุตฺถาย หตฺวา ภุํกฺษฺว ตมฺปฺรตียํ คคณียา วาณี ชาตาฯ
14 But Peter said—By no means, Lord! because, at no time, have I eaten anything common or unclean.
ตทา ปิตร: ปฺรตฺยวทตฺ, เห ปฺรโภ อีทฺฤศํ มา ภวตุ, อหมฺ เอตตฺ กาลํ ยาวตฺ นิษิทฺธมฺ อศุจิ วา ทฺรวฺยํ กิญฺจิทปิ น ภุกฺตวานฺฯ
15 And a voice [came] again, a second time, unto him—What things, God, hath cleansed, be not, thou, making common.
ตต: ปุนรปิ ตาทฺฤศี วิหยสียา วาณี ชาตา ยทฺ อีศฺวร: ศุจิ กฺฤตวานฺ ตตฺ ตฺวํ นิษิทฺธํ น ชานีหิฯ
16 Now, this, took place thrice; and, straightway, was the vessel taken up into heaven.
อิตฺถํ ตฺริ: สติ ตตฺ ปาตฺรํ ปุนรากฺฤษฺฏํ อากาศมฺ อคจฺฉตฺฯ
17 And, as within himself Peter was doubting what the vision which he had seen might mean, lo! the men who had been sent by Cornelius, having sought out the house of Simon, stood at the gate,
ตต: ปรํ ยทฺ ทรฺศนํ ปฺราปฺตวานฺ ตสฺย โก ภาว อิตฺยตฺร ปิตโร มนสา สนฺเทคฺธิ, เอตสฺมินฺ สมเย กรฺณีลิยสฺย เต เปฺรษิตา มนุษฺยา ทฺวารสฺย สนฺนิธาวุปสฺถาย,
18 And, calling, enquired whether, Simon who was surnamed Peter, was there being entertained.
ศิโมโน คฺฤหมนฺวิจฺฉนฺต: สมฺปฺฤฉฺยาหูย กถิตวนฺต: ปิตรนามฺนา วิขฺยาโต ย: ศิโมนฺ ส กิมตฺร ปฺรวสติ?
19 And, as Peter was pondering over the vision, the Spirit said—Lo! two men, seeking thee.
ยทา ปิตรสฺตทฺทรฺศนสฺย ภาวํ มนสานฺโทลยติ ตทาตฺมา ตมวทตฺ, ปศฺย ตฺรโย ชนาสฺตฺวำ มฺฤคยนฺเตฯ
20 But rise, go down, and be journeying with them, nothing, doubting; because, I, have sent them.
ตฺวมฺ อุตฺถายาวรุหฺย นิ: สนฺเทหํ ไต: สห คจฺฉ มไยว เต เปฺรษิตา: ฯ
21 And Peter, going down unto the men, said—Lo! I, am he whom ye are seeking: What is the cause, for which ye are come?
ตสฺมาตฺ ปิตโร'วรุหฺย กรฺณีลิยเปฺรริตโลกานำ นิกฏมาคตฺย กถิตวานฺ ปศฺยต ยูยํ ยํ มฺฤคยเธฺว ส ชโนหํ, ยูยํ กินฺนิมิตฺตมฺ อาคตา: ?
22 And they said—Cornelius, a centurion, a man righteous and fearing God, well-attested by the whole nation of the Jews, hath been divinely instructed by a holy messenger to send for thee unto his house, and to hear words from thee.
ตตเสฺต ปฺรตฺยวทนฺ กรฺณีลิยนามา ศุทฺธสตฺตฺว อีศฺวรปรายโณ ยิหูทียเทศสฺถานำ สรฺเวฺวษำ สนฺนิเธา สุขฺยาตฺยาปนฺน เอก: เสนาปติ รฺนิชคฺฤหํ ตฺวามาหูย เนตุํ ตฺวตฺต: กถา โศฺรตุญฺจ ปวิตฺรทูเตน สมาทิษฺฏ: ฯ
23 Inviting them in, therefore, he entertained them; but, on the morrow, he rose up and went forth with them, and certain of the brethren who were from Joppa went with him;
ตทา ปิตรสฺตานภฺยนฺตรํ นีตฺวา เตษามาติถฺยํ กฺฤตวานฺ, ปเร'หนิ ไต: สารฺทฺธํ ยาตฺรามกโรตฺ, ยาโผนิวาสินำ ภฺราตฺฤณำ กิยนฺโต ชนาศฺจ เตน สห คตา: ฯ
24 And, on the morrow, he entered into Caesarea. And, Cornelius, was expecting them, having called together his kinsfolk and intimate friends.
ปรสฺมินฺ ทิวเส ไกสริยานครมธฺยปฺรเวศสมเย กรฺณีลิโย ชฺญาติพนฺธูนฺ อาหูยานีย ตานฺ อเปกฺษฺย สฺถิต: ฯ
25 And, when it came about that Peter entered, Cornelius met him, and, falling at his feet, did homage.
ปิตเร คฺฤห อุปสฺถิเต กรฺณีลิยสฺตํ สากฺษาตฺกฺฤตฺย จรณโย: ปติตฺวา ปฺราณมตฺฯ
26 But, Peter, raised him up, saying—Arise! I also myself, am, a man.
ปิตรสฺตมุตฺถาปฺย กถิตวานฺ, อุตฺติษฺฐาหมปิ มานุษ: ฯ
27 And, conversing with him, he went in, and findeth many come together;
ตทา กรฺณีลิเยน สากมฺ อาลปนฺ คฺฤหํ ปฺราวิศตฺ ตนฺมเธฺย จ พหุโลกานำ สมาคมํ ทฺฤษฺฏฺวา ตานฺ อวทตฺ,
28 And said unto the—Ye, well know, how unlawful it is, for, a Jew, to be joining himself or coming in unto one of another race. And yet, unto me, hath God pointed out that I should be calling no man, common or unclean.
อนฺยชาตียโลไก: มหาลปนํ วา เตษำ คฺฤหมเธฺย ปฺรเวศนํ ยิหูทียานำ นิษิทฺธมฺ อสฺตีติ ยูยมฺ อวคจฺฉถ; กินฺตุ กมปิ มานุษมฺ อวฺยวหารฺยฺยมฺ อศุจึ วา ชฺญาตุํ มม โนจิตมฺ อิติ ปรเมศฺวโร มำ ชฺญาปิตวานฺฯ
29 Wherefore, even without gainsaying, came I when sent for. I ask, therefore, for what reason ye sent for me.
อิติ เหโตราหฺวานศฺรวณมาตฺราตฺ กาญฺจนาปตฺติมฺ อกฺฤตฺวา ยุษฺมากํ สมีปมฺ อาคโตสฺมิ; ปฺฤจฺฉามิ ยูยํ กินฺนิมิตฺตํ มามฺ อาหูยต?
30 And Cornelius said—Four days ago, counting unto this very hour, I was keeping, the ninth hour, as one of prayer, in my house. And lo! a man stood before me, in bright clothing,
ตทา กรฺณีลิย: กถิตวานฺ, อทฺย จตฺวาริ ทินานิ ชาตานิ เอตาวเทฺวลำ ยาวทฺ อหมฺ อนาหาร อาสนฺ ตตสฺตฺฤตียปฺรหเร สติ คฺฤเห ปฺรารฺถนสมเย เตโชมยวสฺตฺรภฺฤทฺ เอโก ชโน มม สมกฺษํ ติษฺฐนฺ เอตำ กถามฺ อกถยตฺ,
31 And saith—Cornelius! thy prayer hath been heard, and, thine alms, have been remembered before God.
เห กรฺณีลิย ตฺวทียา ปฺรารฺถนา อีศฺวรสฺย กรฺณโคจรีภูตา ตว ทานาทิ จ สากฺษิสฺวรูปํ ภูตฺวา ตสฺย ทฺฤษฺฏิโคจรมภวตฺฯ
32 Send, therefore, unto Joppa, and fetch Simon, who is surnamed Peter. The same is being entertained in the house of one Simon a tanner, by the sea.
อโต ยาโผนครํ ปฺรติ โลกานฺ ปฺรหิตฺย ตตฺร สมุทฺรตีเร ศิโมนฺนามฺน: กสฺยจิจฺจรฺมฺมการสฺย คฺฤเห ปฺรวาสการี ปิตรนามฺนา วิขฺยาโต ย: ศิโมนฺ ตมาหูยย; ตต: ส อาคตฺย ตฺวามฺ อุปเทกฺษฺยติฯ
33 Immediately, therefore, I sent unto thee: Thou, also hast, well, done in coming. Now, therefore, all we, before God are present, to hear all things that have been enjoined upon thee by the Lord.
อิติ การณาตฺ ตตฺกฺษณาตฺ ตว นิกเฏ โลกานฺ เปฺรษิตวานฺ, ตฺวมาคตวานฺ อิติ ภทฺรํ กฺฤตวานฺฯ อีศฺวโร ยานฺยาขฺยานานิ กถยิตุมฺ อาทิศตฺ ตานิ โศฺรตุํ วยํ สรฺเวฺว สามฺปฺรตมฺ อีศฺวรสฺย สากฺษาทฺ อุปสฺถิตา: สฺม: ฯ
34 And Peter, opening his mouth, said—Of a truth, I find that God is no respecter of persons;
ตทา ปิตร อิมำ กถำ กถยิตุมฺ อารพฺธวานฺ, อีศฺวโร มนุษฺยาณามฺ อปกฺษปาตี สนฺ
35 But, in every nation, he that feareth him and worketh righteousness, is acceptable unto him.
ยสฺย กสฺยจิทฺ เทศสฺย โย โลกาสฺตสฺมาทฺภีตฺวา สตฺกรฺมฺม กโรติ ส ตสฺย คฺราโหฺย ภวติ, เอตสฺย นิศฺจยมฺ อุปลพฺธวานหมฺฯ
36 As touching the word he hath sent unto the sons of Israel, announcing the glad tidings of peace through Jesus Christ—the same, is Lord, of all,
สรฺเวฺวษำ ปฺรภุ โรฺย ยีศุขฺรีษฺฏเสฺตน อีศฺวร อิสฺราเยลฺวํศานำ นิกเฏ สุสํวาทํ เปฺรษฺย สมฺเมลนสฺย ยํ สํวาทํ ปฺราจารยตฺ ตํ สํวาทํ ยูยํ ศฺรุตวนฺต: ฯ
37 Ye yourselves, know what hath come to pass throughout the whole of Judaea, beginning from Galilee, after the immersion which John proclaimed, respecting Jesus who was of Nazareth: —
ยโต โยหนา มชฺชเน ปฺรจาริเต สติ ส คาลีลเทศมารภฺย สมสฺตยิหูทียเทศํ วฺยาปฺโนตฺ;
38 How God anointed him with Holy Spirit and with power, who went about doing good and healing all that were oppressed by the adversary, because, God, was with him.
ผลต อีศฺวเรณ ปวิเตฺรณาตฺมนา ศกฺตฺยา จาภิษิกฺโต นาสรตียยีศุ: สฺถาเน สฺถาเน ภฺรมนฺ สุกฺริยำ กุรฺวฺวนฺ ไศตานา กฺลิษฺฏานฺ สรฺวฺวโลกานฺ สฺวสฺถานฺ อกโรตฺ, ยต อีศฺวรสฺตสฺย สหาย อาสีตฺ;
39 We also, are witnesses of all things which he did, both in the country of the Jews and Jerusalem; whom they even slew by suspending upon a tree; —
วยญฺจ ยิหูทียเทเศ ยิรูศาลมฺนคเร จ เตน กฺฤตานำ สรฺเวฺวษำ กรฺมฺมณำ สากฺษิโณ ภวาม: ฯ โลกาสฺตํ กฺรุเศ วิทฺธฺวา หตวนฺต: ,
40 The same, God raised up on the third day, and gave him to become, manifest,
กินฺตุ ตฺฤตียทิวเส อีศฺวรสฺตมุตฺถาปฺย สปฺรกาศมฺ อทรฺศยตฺฯ
41 Not unto all the people, but unto witnesses who had been fore-appointed by God, unto us, who, indeed, did eat and drink with him after his rising from among the dead.
สรฺวฺวโลกานำ นิกฏ อิติ น หิ, กินฺตุ ตสฺมินฺ ศฺมศานาทุตฺถิเต สติ เตน สารฺทฺธํ โภชนํ ปานญฺจ กฺฤตวนฺต เอตาทฺฤศา อีศฺวรสฺย มโนนีตา: สากฺษิโณ เย วยมฺ อสฺมากํ นิกเฏ ตมทรฺศยตฺฯ
42 And he charged us to proclaim unto the people, and bear full witness, that—This, is he that hath been marked out by God to be judge of living and dead.
ชีวิตมฺฤโตภยโลกานำ วิจารํ กรฺตฺตุมฺ อีศฺวโร ยํ นิยุกฺตวานฺ ส เอว ส ชน: , อิมำ กถำ ปฺรจารยิตุํ ตสฺมินฺ ปฺรมาณํ ทาตุญฺจ โส'สฺมานฺ อาชฺญาปยตฺฯ
43 Unto the same, do all the prophets bear witness, That, remission of sins, is to be received through his name, by every one that believeth on him.
ยสฺตสฺมินฺ วิศฺวสิติ ส ตสฺย นามฺนา ปาปานฺมุกฺโต ภวิษฺยติ ตสฺมินฺ สรฺเวฺว ภวิษฺยทฺวาทิโนปิ เอตาทฺฤศํ สากฺษฺยํ ททติฯ
44 While Peter was yet speaking these words, the Holy Spirit fell upon all who were hearing the word.
ปิตรไสฺยตตฺกถากถนกาเล สรฺเวฺวษำ โศฺรตฺฤณามุปริ ปวิตฺร อาตฺมาวาโรหตฺฯ
45 And the faithful, of the circumcision, who had come with Peter, were amazed, —in that, upon the nations also, the free-gift of the Holy Spirit had been poured out;
ตต: ปิตเรณ สารฺทฺธมฺ อาคตาสฺตฺวกฺเฉทิโน วิศฺวาสิโน โลกา อนฺยเทศีเยภฺย: ปวิตฺร อาตฺมนิ ทตฺเต สติ
46 For they heard them speaking with tongues, and magnifying God. Then answered Peter—
เต นานาชาตียภาษาภิ: กถำ กถยนฺต อีศฺวรํ ปฺรศํสนฺติ, อิติ ทฺฤษฺฏฺวา ศฺรุตฺวา จ วิสฺมยมฺ อาปทฺยนฺตฯ
47 Surely then, the water, can no man forbid, that these should not be immersed, —seeing that, the Holy Spirit, they have received, as well as we.
ตทา ปิตร: กถิตวานฺ, วยมิว เย ปวิตฺรมฺ อาตฺมานํ ปฺราปฺตาเสฺตษำ ชลมชฺชนํ กึ โกปิ นิเษทฺธุํ ศกฺโนติ?
48 And he commanded them in the name of Jesus Christ to be immersed. Then, requested they him, to abide still some days.
ตต: ปฺรโภ รฺนามฺนา มชฺชิตา ภวเตติ ตานาชฺญาปยตฺฯ อนนฺตรํ เต ไสฺว: สารฺทฺธํ กติปยทินานิ สฺถาตุํ ปฺรารฺถยนฺตฯ
