2 Timothy 4

1 I adjure [thee] before God, and Christ Jesus—Who is about to be judging living and dead, —both as to his forthshining and his kingdom,

Te ordeno delante de Dios y de Cristo Jesús, que será juez de vivos y muertos, y de su revelación de su reino;

2 Proclaim the word, take thy position—in season, out of season, —convince, rebuke, encourage, —with all long-suffering and teaching.

Que Prediques la palabra en todo tiempo, en todo lugar; redarguye, reprende, da consuelo, con paciencia y enseñanza;

3 For there will be a season—when, the healthful teaching, they will not endure, but, according to their own covetings, will, unto themselves, heap up teachers, because they have an itching ear,

Porque vendrá tiempo cuando no tomarán la verdadera enseñanza; pero, movidos por sus deseos, obtendrán para sí mismos una gran cantidad de maestros que solo les enseñen lo que ellos quieran oír;

4 And, from the truth, indeed, their ear, will they turn away, while, unto stories, they will turn themselves aside.

Y cerrando los oídos a lo que es verdad, y harán caso a toda clase de historias necias.

5 But, thou, —be sober in all things, suffer hardship, do, the work, of an evangelist, thy ministry, completely fulfill;

Pero tú siempre conserva el buen juicio en todas las cosas, soporta las aflicciones, continúa predicando las buenas nuevas, completando el trabajo que se te ha encomendado.

6 For, I, already, am being poured out as a drink-offering, and, the season of my release, is at hand, —

Porque ahora mismo soy un sacrificio vivo, y mi fin está cerca.

7 The noble contest, have I contested, the race, have I finished, the faith, have I kept:

He hecho una buena batalla, he llegado al final de mi viaje, he guardado la fe:

8 Henceforth, lieth by for me—the crown, of righteousness, which the Lord will render unto me in that, day, —The righteous judge, —Ye, not alone unto me, but unto all them also who have loved his forthshining.

A partir de ahora, la corona de justicia se ha preparado para mí, que el Señor, el juez recto, dará a mi en ese día, y no solo a mí, sino a todos aquellos que con amor esperan que él vuelva.

9 Give diligence to come unto me speedily,

Haz lo mejor que puedas para venir a verme enseguida:

10 For, Demas, hath forsaken me, having loved the present age, and hath journeyed unto Thessalonica; Crescens unto Galatia, Titus unto Dalmatia: (aiōn g165)

Porque Demas se ha alejado de mí, por amor a esta vida presente, y se ha ido a Tesalónica: Crescente ha ido a Galacia, Tito a Dalmacia. (aiōn g165)

11 Luke, alone is with me. Receiving, Mark, back, bring him with thyself, for he is very useful to me for ministering;

Sólo Lucas está conmigo. Busca a Marcos y tráelo contigo; porque él me es útil en el trabajo.

12 and, Tychicus, have I sent unto Ephesus.

Tíquico lo envié a Efeso.

13 The cloak that I left in Troas, with Carpus, when thou comest, bring; and the scrolls, especially, the parchments.

Cuando vengas tráeme la capa que dejé en Troas y que está en casa de Carpo, y los libros, especialmente los pergaminos.

14 Alexander the coppersmith, of much baseness towards me, hath given proof, —the Lord will render unto him according to his works.—

Alejandro el herrero me hizo mucho daño: el Señor le dará la recompensa de sus obras;

15 Of whom, be, thou also, on thy guard, for he hath greatly withstood our words.

Pero está atento a él, porque fue violento en sus ataques a nuestras enseñanzas.

16 In my first defence, no man, came in to help me, but, all, forsook me, —unto them, may it not be reckoned!—

En mi primera reunión con mis jueces, nadie tomó mi parte, pero todos se alejaron de mi. Espero que Dios no se los tome en cuenta.

17 But, the Lord, stood by me, and empowered me, in order that, through me, the proclamation, might be fully made, and, all the nations, might hear; and I was delivered out of the mouth of a lion: —

Pero el Señor estaba a mi lado y me dio fuerzas; para que por mí se divulguen las noticias en toda su plenitud, y todos los gentiles puedan prestar oído; y yo fui sacado de la boca del león.

18 The Lord will rescue me from every wicked work, and will bring me safe into his heavenly kingdom: unto whom be the glory, unto the ages of ages. Amen. (aiōn g165)

El Señor me salvará de toda obra mala y me salvará en su reino en el cielo: a él sea la gloria por los siglos de los siglos. Que así sea. (aiōn g165)

19 Salute Prisca and Aquila and the house of Onesiphorus.

Dale mi amor a Prisca y Aquila y a los de la casa de Onesíforo.

20 Erastus, remained in Corinth; but, Trophimus, I left at Miletus, sick.

Erasto se quedó en Corinto; pero Trófimo, cuando lo vi por última vez estaba en Mileto, enfermo.

21 Give diligence to come, before winter. There salute thee—Eubulus, and Pudens, and Linus, and Claudia, and [all] the brethren.

Haz tu mejor esfuerzo para venir antes del invierno. Te mandan saludos Eubulo, te manda saludos Pudente y Lino, Claudia, y todos los hermanos.

22 The Lord, be with thy spirit. Favour, be with you.

El Señor Jesucristo esté con ustedes, y que Dios derrame su gracia sobre todos ustedes.
