2 Timothy 4
1 I adjure [thee] before God, and Christ Jesus—Who is about to be judging living and dead, —both as to his forthshining and his kingdom,
Requiéro te, pues, yo delante de Dios, y del Señor Jesu Cristo, que ha de juzgar a los vivos y a los muertos en su manifestación, y en su reino;
2 Proclaim the word, take thy position—in season, out of season, —convince, rebuke, encourage, —with all long-suffering and teaching.
Que prediques la palabra; que instes a tiempo y fuera de tiempo; redarguye, reprende, exhorta con toda blandura y doctrina:
3 For there will be a season—when, the healthful teaching, they will not endure, but, according to their own covetings, will, unto themselves, heap up teachers, because they have an itching ear,
Porque vendrá tiempo cuando no sufrirán la sana doctrina, antes teniendo comezón en las orejas, se amontonarán maestros que les hablen conforme a sus mismas concupiscencias.
4 And, from the truth, indeed, their ear, will they turn away, while, unto stories, they will turn themselves aside.
Y así apartarán de la verdad el oído, y se volverán a las fábulas.
5 But, thou, —be sober in all things, suffer hardship, do, the work, of an evangelist, thy ministry, completely fulfill;
Tú por tanto vela en todo, sufre trabajos, haz obra de evangelista, cumple bien tu ministerio:
6 For, I, already, am being poured out as a drink-offering, and, the season of my release, is at hand, —
Porque yo ya presto soy sacrificado, y el tiempo de mi desatamiento está cercano.
7 The noble contest, have I contested, the race, have I finished, the faith, have I kept:
Buena milicia he militado, acabado he la carrera, he guardado la fe.
8 Henceforth, lieth by for me—the crown, of righteousness, which the Lord will render unto me in that, day, —The righteous judge, —Ye, not alone unto me, but unto all them also who have loved his forthshining.
Por lo demás, me está guardada la corona de justicia, la cual me dará el Señor, el juez justo, en aquel día; y no solo a mí, sino también a todos los que aman su venida.
9 Give diligence to come unto me speedily,
Procura de venir presto a mí;
10 For, Demas, hath forsaken me, having loved the present age, and hath journeyed unto Thessalonica; Crescens unto Galatia, Titus unto Dalmatia: (aiōn g165)
Porque Démas me ha desamparado, amando este mundo presente, y es ido a Tesalónica; Crescente a Galacia; Tito a Dalmacia. (aiōn g165)
11 Luke, alone is with me. Receiving, Mark, back, bring him with thyself, for he is very useful to me for ministering;
Lúcas solo está conmigo. Toma a Márcos, y tráele contigo; porque me es útil para el ministerio.
12 and, Tychicus, have I sent unto Ephesus.
A Tíquico envié a Efeso.
13 The cloak that I left in Troas, with Carpus, when thou comest, bring; and the scrolls, especially, the parchments.
La capa que dejé en Troas en casa de Carpo, traé la contigo cuando vinieres, y los libros, mayormente los pergaminos.
14 Alexander the coppersmith, of much baseness towards me, hath given proof, —the Lord will render unto him according to his works.—
Alejandro el metalero me ha diseñado muchos males: Dios le pague conforme a sus hechos:
15 Of whom, be, thou also, on thy guard, for he hath greatly withstood our words.
Del cual tú también te guarda: que en grande manera ha resistido a nuestras palabras.
16 In my first defence, no man, came in to help me, but, all, forsook me, —unto them, may it not be reckoned!—
En mi primera defensa ninguno estuvo conmigo; antes me desampararon todos: ruego a Dios no les sea imputado.
17 But, the Lord, stood by me, and empowered me, in order that, through me, the proclamation, might be fully made, and, all the nations, might hear; and I was delivered out of the mouth of a lion: —
Mas el Señor estuvo a mi lado, y me esforzó para que por mí fuese cumplida la predicación, y todos los Gentiles la oyesen; y fui librado de la boca del león.
18 The Lord will rescue me from every wicked work, and will bring me safe into his heavenly kingdom: unto whom be the glory, unto the ages of ages. Amen. (aiōn g165)
Y el Señor me librará de toda obra mala, y me preservará para su reino celestial: al cual sea gloria por siglos de siglos. Amén. (aiōn g165)
19 Salute Prisca and Aquila and the house of Onesiphorus.
Saluda a Prisca y a Aquila, y a la casa de Onesiforo.
20 Erastus, remained in Corinth; but, Trophimus, I left at Miletus, sick.
Erasto se quedó en Corinto; y a Trófimo le dejé en Mileto enfermo.
21 Give diligence to come, before winter. There salute thee—Eubulus, and Pudens, and Linus, and Claudia, and [all] the brethren.
Apresúrate a venir antes del invierno. Eubulo te saluda, y Pudente, y Lino, y Claudia, y todos los hermanos.
22 The Lord, be with thy spirit. Favour, be with you.
El Señor Jesu Cristo sea con tu espíritu. La gracia sea con vosotros. Amén. La segunda a Timoteo, fue escrita de Roma: el cual fue el primer obispo, que fue ordenado en Efeso, cuando Pablo fue presentado la segunda vez a César Nerón.
