< 2 Timothy 2 >

1 Thou, therefore, my child, be empowering thyself in the favour that is in Christ Jesus,
Cwale iwe, banangu, mukozwe mu chishemo cha na mwa Kreste Jesu.
2 And, the things which thou hast heard from me among many witnesses, the same, entrust thou unto faithful men, such as shall be, competent, to teach, others also.
Mi ni zintu zimwa zuwa kwangu hakatu ke mpaki zingi, muzi tambike ku vantu va sepahala vete va wole ku luta vamwi hape.
3 Take thy part in suffering hardship, as a brave soldier of Christ Jesus: —
Munyande muvukavo - vukukutu neme, sina ili isole lyi shiyeme lya Kreste Jesu.
4 No one that is serving as a soldier, entangleth himself with the matters of his livelihood, that he may please him that hath summoned him to serve as a soldier;
Kakwina i sole lyi seveza nili suminwe muzintu zovunu vuhalo, kuti a tavise wina he wulu lyakwe.
5 If, moreover, any man, contend even in the games, he is not crowned, unless, lawfully, he contend;
Mi hape, haiva zumwi wi zuziliza kuva yo tiya, kazwatikiwa i kuwani yo mushukwe haisi ha yenderera ni milao.
6 The toiling husbandman, ought, first, of the fruits, to partake:
Mi itukero yo mulimi yo seveza ahulu kuti atambule inkavelo yakwe ye zimelantu kumatangilo.
7 Think, as to what I am speaking; for the Lord will give thee discernment in all things.
Hupule chini wamba, kaho Ireeza kamihe inkutwisiso muzintu zonse.
8 Keep in mind Jesus Christ—raised from among the dead, of the seed of David, —according to my joyful message:
Muhupule Kreste Jesu, kuzwa kwi mbuto ya Davida, yava vuswa kuvamwi va fwire. Ichi chiya che ñusa lye ivangeli yangu.
9 In which I am suffering hardship, even unto bonds, as an evil-doer; but, the word of God, is not bound.
Kecho ni nyanda mane kusika he nako yo kusuminwa sina ni chisinyi. Kono linzwi lya Ireeza kali suminwe.
10 For this cause, am I enduring, all things, for the sake of the chosen, in order that, they also, may obtain, the salvation, which is in Christ Jesus along with glory age-abiding. (aiōnios g166)
Yahaho niva nyandi muzintu zonse kwavo vava ku ketetwe, kuti niva wole kuwana impuluso ina mwa Kreste Jesu, ni nkanya iya ku mamanimani. (aiōnios g166)
11 Faithful, the saying—for, If we have died together, we shall also live together,
Ichi chiwambo chi sepahala: “haiva tuva fwi naye, ka twikale naye hape.
12 If we endure, we shall also reign together; If we shall deny, he also, will deny us,
Haiva tu wonderela, katu vuse naye hape. Haiva ni tu musampula, katu sampule naye.
13 If we are faithless, he, faithful, abideth, —for, deny himself, he cannot!
Haiva katu sepahali, ushala na sepahala, kakuli ka woli ku lisampula iye mwine.
14 Of these things, be putting [them] in remembrance, adjuring [them] before God not to be waging word-battles, —useful, for nothing, occasioning a subversion of them that hearken.
Uwondelele kuva hupulisa ke zi zintu. Uva kalimele havusu bwe ireeza kuti kanji va lilwisi ku amana ni ziyambo. Kelyi vaka kakwina chintu chimwi cho vutokwa. Kelyi vaka kwina kusinya sinya kwavo va teka.
15 Give diligence, thyself, approved, to present unto God, —a workman not to be put to shame, skillfully handling the word of truth.
Pange chi woleka kuti uve zumwi wa zuminwa kwa Ireeza, muveleki u sena cho kuswava, yo luta inako yonse inzwi lye niti.
16 But, the profane pratings, shun; for, unto more ungodliness, will they force themselves on;
Uzwe kwi ndava zo kuwamba wamba, zimi twala kuku nyazeleza ku mizwisa mwi nzila ina hande.
17 And, their discourse, as a gangrene, will eat its way; —of whom are Hymenaeus and Philetus,
Ku wamba kwavo kaku yende. Mukati kavo va Hymenaeus nima Philetus.
18 Men who, concerning the truth, have erred, affirming, a resurrection, already, to have taken place, and are overthrowing the faith, of some.
Ava nji vakwame va sena vava zuwa vuniti. Va wamba kuti ku vuka kuvafwire ckiva pangahali kale. Va chinca i ntumelo i vamwi.
19 Howbeit, the firm foundation of God, standeth, having this seal—The Lord hath acknowledged them who are his, and, Let every one that nameth the name of the Lord stand aloof from unrighteousness.
Ni hakuva bulyo, mutomo u kolete wa Ireeza uzimana. Ina nili swayo: “Simwine wizi avo vali vakwe” mi “yense u sumpa izina lya Simwine uswanela kuzwa ku zintu zi sena hande.”'
20 But, in a great house, there are not only gold and silver vessels, but, also wooden and earthen: and, some, indeed, for honour, while, some, are for dishonour:
Mwi nzuvo i fumite, kakwina fela imponto ze gauda ni silivera. Kwina hape impoto zo kuveza hazi kuni nizo kuvumba he rongo. Zimwi zina musevezi u sepahala, ni zimwi zisa sepahali.
21 If, therefore, anyone will, for pureness, sever himself from these, he shall be a vessel for honour, hallowed, meet for the Master’s use, for every good work, prepared.
Haiva kwina zumwi yoli joloza kuzi sa sepahali, muntu yo sepahala. Uvikitwe ku mbali, wina musevezi kwa Simwine, mi uvikilwe musevezi mulotu.
22 But, from the youthful covetings, flee! and pursue righteousness, faith, love, peace, along with them who call upon the Lord out of a pure heart.
Uzwe kwi takazo zovu jaha. Tundamine zi chena, intumelo, irato, ni nkozo navo va sumpa kwa Simwine kuzwa kwi nkulo ichena.
23 But, from the foolish and undisciplined questionings, excuse thyself, knowing that they gender strifes;
Kono mukane vuhole ni mpuzo zi sena hande. Wizi kuti zi zala inkani.
24 And, a servant of the Lord, ought not to strive, but to be, gentle, towards all, apt in teaching, ready to endure malice, —
Muhikana wa Simwine ka swaneli ku panga inkani. Kono uswanela kuva yo lukite ku vonse, yo wola ku ruta, ni kuwola ku lindila.
25 In meekness, bringing under discipline them that oppose themselves, lest at any time God should give them repentance unto a personal knowledge of truth,
Uswanela kuva wa chisemo ku luta vana vasa zumini va mulwisa. Mwendi Ireeza kawole kuvaha kuvaka ke ntuto ye niti.
26 And they should wake up to sobriety out of, the adversary’s, snare, —though they have been taken alive by him for, that one’s, will.
Kavave vena hande hape niku zwa mutuswa twa dyavulusu, kasamulaho okuva kwata che ntato yakwe.
