< 2 Thessalonians 1 >
1 Paul and Silvanus and Timothy—unto the assembly of Thessalonians, in God our Father and Lord Jesus Christ, —

2 Favour unto you, and peace, from God [our] Father and Lord Jesus Christ.
asmaaka. m taata ii"svara. h prabhu ryii"sukhrii. s.ta"sca yu. smaasvanugraha. m "saanti nca kriyaastaa. m|
3 We are bound, to be giving thanks, unto God, continually, concerning you, brethren, even as it is, meet; because your faith groweth exceedingly, and the love of each one of you all one to another aboundeth,
he bhraatara. h, yu. smaaka. m k. rte sarvvadaa yathaayogyam ii"svarasya dhanyavaado. asmaabhi. h karttavya. h, yato heto ryu. smaaka. m vi"svaasa uttarottara. m varddhate parasparam ekaikasya prema ca bahuphala. m bhavati|
4 So that, we ourselves, in you, are boasting, in the assemblies of God, over your endurance and faith in all your persecutions and tribulations which ye are sustaining: —
tasmaad yu. smaabhi ryaavanta upadravakle"saa. h sahyante te. su yad dheryya. m ya"sca vi"svaasa. h prakaa"syate tatkaara. naad vayam ii"svariiyasamiti. su yu. smaabhi. h "slaaghaamahe|
5 A proof of the righteous judgment of God, to the end ye may be counted worthy of the kingdom of God, in behalf of which ye are also suffering: —
tacce"svarasya nyaayavicaarasya pramaa. na. m bhavati yato yuuya. m yasya k. rte du. hkha. m sahadhva. m tasye"svariiyaraajyasya yogyaa bhavatha|
6 If, at least, it is a, righteous thing with God, to recompense, affliction, unto them that afflict you,
yata. h svakiiyasvargaduutaanaa. m balai. h sahitasya prabho ryii"so. h svargaad aagamanakaale yu. smaaka. m kle"sakebhya. h kle"sena phaladaana. m saarddhamasmaabhi"sca
7 And, unto you that are afflicted, release, with us, —by the revealing of the Lord Jesus from heaven, with his messengers of power,
kli"syamaanebhyo yu. smabhya. m "saantidaanam ii"svare. na nyaayya. m bhotsyate;
8 In a fiery flame; holding forth vengeance—against them that refuse to know God, and them who decline to hearken unto the glad-message of our Lord Jesus,
tadaaniim ii"svaraanabhij nebhyo. asmatprabho ryii"sukhrii. s.tasya susa. mvaadaagraahakebhya"sca lokebhyo jaajvalyamaanena vahninaa samucita. m phala. m yii"sunaa daasyate;
9 Who, indeed, a penalty, shall pay—age-abiding destruction from the face of the Lord and from the glory of his might— (aiōnios )
te ca prabho rvadanaat paraakramayuktavibhavaacca sadaatanavinaa"saruupa. m da. n.da. m lapsyante, (aiōnios )
10 Whensoever he shall come, to be made all-glorious in his saints, and to be marvelled at in all who believed, —because our witness unto you was believed, —in that day.
kintu tasmin dine svakiiyapavitraloke. su viraajitu. m yu. smaan aparaa. m"sca sarvvaan vi"svaasilokaan vismaapayitu nca sa aagami. syati yato. asmaaka. m pramaa. ne yu. smaabhi rvi"svaaso. akaari|
11 Unto which end, we are also praying continually for you, that our God may count, you, worthy of your calling, and fulfil every good-pleasure of goodness and work of faith, with power, —
ato. asmaakam ii"svaro yu. smaan tasyaahvaanasya yogyaan karotu saujanyasya "subhaphala. m vi"svaasasya gu. na nca paraakrame. na saadhayatviti praarthanaasmaabhi. h sarvvadaa yu. smannimitta. m kriyate,
12 That the name of our Lord Jesus may be made all-glorious in you, and, ye, in him, According to the favour of our God and Lord Jesus Christ.
yatastathaa satyasmaakam ii"svarasya prabho ryii"sukhrii. s.tasya caanugrahaad asmatprabho ryii"sukhrii. s.tasya naamno gaurava. m yu. smaasu yu. smaakamapi gaurava. m tasmin prakaa"si. syate|
