< 2 Thessalonians 1 >
1 Paul and Silvanus and Timothy—unto the assembly of Thessalonians, in God our Father and Lord Jesus Christ, —
ⲁ̅ⲡⲁⲩⲗⲟⲥ ⲙⲛ ⲥⲓⲗⲟⲩⲁⲛⲟⲥ ⲙⲛ ⲧⲓⲙⲟⲑⲉⲟⲥ ⲉⲩⲥϩⲁⲓ ⲛⲧⲉⲕⲕⲗⲏⲥⲓⲁ ⲛⲛⲉⲑⲉⲥⲥⲁⲗⲟⲛⲓⲕⲉⲩⲥ ϩⲙ ⲡⲛⲟⲩⲧⲉ ⲡⲉⲛⲉⲓⲱⲧ ⲙⲛ ⲡϫⲟⲉⲓⲥ ⲓⲏⲥ ⲡⲉⲭⲥ
2 Favour unto you, and peace, from God [our] Father and Lord Jesus Christ.
ⲃ̅ⲧⲉⲭⲁⲣⲓⲥ ⲛⲏⲧⲛ ⲙⲛ ϯⲣⲏⲛⲏ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ϩⲓⲧⲙ ⲡⲛⲟⲩⲧⲉ ⲡⲉⲛⲉⲓⲱⲧ ⲙⲛ ⲡϫⲟⲉⲓⲥ ⲓⲏⲥ ⲡⲉⲭⲥ
3 We are bound, to be giving thanks, unto God, continually, concerning you, brethren, even as it is, meet; because your faith groweth exceedingly, and the love of each one of you all one to another aboundeth,
ⲅ̅ϣϣⲉ ⲉⲣⲟⲛ ⲉϣⲡϩⲙⲟⲧ ⲛⲧⲙ ⲡⲛⲟⲩⲧⲉ ⲛⲟⲩⲟⲉⲓϣ ⲛⲓⲙ ϩⲁⲣⲱⲧⲛ ⲛⲉⲥⲛⲏⲩ ⲕⲁⲧⲁ ⲑⲉ ϫⲉ ϥⲙⲡϣⲁ ϫⲉ ⲥⲣϩⲟⲩⲉ ⲁⲩⲝⲁⲛⲉ ⲛϭⲓ ⲧⲉⲧⲛⲡⲓⲥⲧⲓⲥ ⲁⲩⲱ ⲥⲁϣⲁⲓ ⲛϭⲓ ⲧⲁⲅⲁⲡⲏ ⲙⲡⲟⲩⲁ ⲡⲟⲩⲁ ⲙⲙⲱⲧⲛ ⲉϩⲟⲩⲛ ⲉⲛⲉⲧⲛⲉⲣⲏⲩ ⲧⲏⲣⲧⲛ
4 So that, we ourselves, in you, are boasting, in the assemblies of God, over your endurance and faith in all your persecutions and tribulations which ye are sustaining: —
ⲇ̅ϩⲱⲥⲧⲉ ⲁⲛⲟⲛ ⲛⲧⲛϣⲟⲩϣⲟⲩ ⲙⲙⲟⲛ ⲛϩⲏⲧ ⲧⲏⲩⲧⲛ ϩⲛ ⲛⲉⲕⲕⲗⲏⲥⲓⲁ ⲙⲡⲛⲟⲩⲧⲉ ϩⲁⲧⲉⲧⲛϩⲩⲡⲟⲙⲟⲛⲏ ⲙⲛ ⲧⲉⲧⲛⲡⲓⲥⲧⲓⲥ ϩⲛ ⲛⲉⲧⲛⲇⲓⲱⲅⲙⲟⲥ ⲧⲏⲣⲟⲩ ⲙⲛ ⲛⲉⲑⲗⲓⲯⲓⲥ ⲉⲧⲉⲧⲛⲁⲛⲉⲭⲉ ⲛϩⲏⲧⲟⲩ
5 A proof of the righteous judgment of God, to the end ye may be counted worthy of the kingdom of God, in behalf of which ye are also suffering: —
ⲉ̅ⲉⲩⲙⲁⲉⲓⲛ ⲛⲧⲉⲕⲣⲓⲥⲓⲥ ⲙⲙⲉ ⲙⲡⲛⲟⲩⲧⲉ ⲉⲧⲣⲉⲧⲛⲙⲡϣⲁ ⲛⲧⲙⲛⲧⲣⲣⲟ ⲙⲡⲛⲟⲩⲧⲉ ⲧⲁⲓ ⲉⲧⲉⲧⲛϣⲡϩⲓⲥⲉ ϩⲁⲣⲟⲥ
6 If, at least, it is a, righteous thing with God, to recompense, affliction, unto them that afflict you,
ⲋ̅ⲉϣϫⲉ ⲟⲩⲇⲓⲕⲁⲓⲟⲛ ⲡⲉ ⲛⲛⲁϩⲣⲙ ⲡⲛⲟⲩⲧⲉ ⲉⲧⲱⲱⲃⲉ ⲛⲟⲩⲑⲗⲓⲯⲓⲥ ⲛⲛⲉⲧⲑⲗⲓⲃⲉ ⲙⲙⲱⲧⲛ
7 And, unto you that are afflicted, release, with us, —by the revealing of the Lord Jesus from heaven, with his messengers of power,
ⲍ̅ⲁⲩⲱ ⲟⲩⲙⲧⲟⲛ ⲛⲏⲧⲛ ⲛⲙⲙⲁⲛ ⲛⲉⲧⲟⲩⲑⲗⲓⲃⲉ ⲙⲙⲟⲟⲩ ϩⲙ ⲡϭⲱⲗⲡ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ⲙⲡⲉⲛϫⲟⲉⲓⲥ ⲓⲏⲥ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ϩⲛ ⲧⲡⲉ ⲙⲛ ⲛⲁⲅⲅⲉⲗⲟⲥ ⲛⲧⲉϥϭⲟⲙ
8 In a fiery flame; holding forth vengeance—against them that refuse to know God, and them who decline to hearken unto the glad-message of our Lord Jesus,
ⲏ̅ϩⲛ ⲟⲩϣⲁϩ ⲛⲕⲱϩⲧ ⲉϥⲛⲁϯ ⲛⲟⲩⲕⲃⲁ ⲛⲛⲉⲧⲉⲛⲥⲉⲥⲟⲟⲩⲛ ⲁⲛ ⲙⲡⲛⲟⲩⲧⲉ ⲁⲩⲱ ⲛⲉⲧⲉⲛⲥⲉⲥⲱⲧⲙ ⲁⲛ ⲛⲥⲁ ⲡⲉⲩⲁⲅⲅⲉⲗⲓⲟⲛ ⲙⲡⲉⲛϫⲟⲉⲓⲥ ⲓⲏⲥ
9 Who, indeed, a penalty, shall pay—age-abiding destruction from the face of the Lord and from the glory of his might— (aiōnios )
ⲑ̅ⲛⲁⲓ ⲉⲧⲛⲁϫⲓ ⲛⲟⲩϩⲁⲡ ⲛⲧⲁⲕⲟ ⲛϣⲁ ⲉⲛⲉϩ ϩⲙ ⲡⲉⲙⲧⲟ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ⲙⲡϫⲟⲉⲓⲥ ⲙⲛ ⲡⲉⲟⲟⲩ ⲛⲧⲉϥϭⲟⲙ (aiōnios )
10 Whensoever he shall come, to be made all-glorious in his saints, and to be marvelled at in all who believed, —because our witness unto you was believed, —in that day.
ⲓ̅ϩⲟⲧⲁⲛ ⲉϥϣⲁⲛⲉⲓ ⲉϫⲓⲉⲟⲟⲩ ϩⲛ ⲛⲉϥⲡⲉⲧⲟⲩⲁⲁⲃ ⲁⲩⲱ ⲉⲧⲣⲉⲩⲣϣⲡⲏⲣⲉ ⲙⲙⲟϥ ϩⲛ ⲛⲉⲧⲡⲓⲥⲧⲉⲩⲉ ⲧⲏⲣⲟⲩ ϫⲉ ⲁⲩⲧⲁⲛϩⲉⲧ ⲧⲉϥⲙⲛⲧⲙⲛⲧⲣⲉ ⲉϫⲛ ⲧⲏⲩⲧⲛ ϩⲙ ⲡⲉϩⲟⲟⲩ ⲉⲧⲙⲙⲁⲩ
11 Unto which end, we are also praying continually for you, that our God may count, you, worthy of your calling, and fulfil every good-pleasure of goodness and work of faith, with power, —
ⲓ̅ⲁ̅ⲁⲩⲱ ⲉⲛϣⲗⲏⲗ ⲉⲡⲁⲓ ⲛⲟⲩⲟⲉⲓϣ ⲛⲓⲙ ϩⲁⲣⲱⲧⲛ ϫⲉⲕⲁⲥ ⲉⲣⲉⲡⲉⲛⲛⲟⲩⲧⲉ ⲧⲣⲉⲧⲛⲙⲡϣⲁ ⲙⲡⲧⲱϩⲙ ⲁⲩⲱ ⲛϥϫⲉⲕ ⲧⲏⲩⲧⲛ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ϩⲛ ⲟⲩⲱϣ ⲛⲓⲙ ⲉⲧⲛⲁⲛⲟⲩϥ ⲁⲩⲱ ⲡϩⲱⲃ ⲛⲧⲡⲓⲥⲧⲓⲥ ϩⲛ ⲟⲩϭⲟⲙ
12 That the name of our Lord Jesus may be made all-glorious in you, and, ye, in him, According to the favour of our God and Lord Jesus Christ.
ⲓ̅ⲃ̅ϫⲉⲕⲁⲥ ⲉϥⲉϫⲓ ⲉⲟⲟⲩ ⲛϭⲓ ⲡⲣⲁⲛ ⲙⲡⲉⲛϫⲟⲉⲓⲥ ⲓⲏⲥ ⲛϩⲏⲧ ⲧⲏⲩⲧⲛ ⲁⲩⲱ ⲛⲧⲱⲧⲛ ⲛϩⲏⲧϥ ⲕⲁⲧⲁ ⲧⲉⲭⲁⲣⲓⲥ ⲙⲡⲉⲛⲛⲟⲩⲧⲉ ⲙⲛ ⲡϫⲟⲉⲓⲥ ⲓⲏⲥ ⲡⲉⲭⲥ
