< 2 Samuel 22 >

1 And David spake unto Yahweh, the words of this song, in the day when Yahweh had rescued him, out of the hand of all his enemies, and out of the hand of Saul;
Dafidi sì kọ ọ̀rọ̀ orin yìí sí Olúwa ní ọjọ́ tí Olúwa gbà á kúrò lọ́wọ́ gbogbo àwọn ọ̀tá rẹ̀, àti kúrò lọ́wọ́ Saulu.
2 and he said, —Yahweh, was my mountain crag and my stronghold, and my deliverer—mine;
Ó sì wí pé, “Olúwa ni àpáta mi, àti Olùgbàlà mi;
3 My God, was my rock, I sought refuge in him, —My shield, and my horn of salvation, my high tower, and my refuge, My Saviour! from violence, thou didst save me.
Ọlọ́run mi, àpáta mi, nínú ẹni tí èmi ní ààbò, àti ìwo ìgbàlà mi, ibi ìsádi gíga mi. Àti ibi ìlùmọ̀ mi, Olùgbàlà mi; ìwọ ni ó ti gbà mí kúrò lọ́wọ́ ìwà ipá.
4 As one worthy to be praised, called I on Yahweh, —And, from my foes, was I saved.
“Èmi ké pe Olúwa, tí ó yẹ láti máa yìn, ó sì gbà mí lọ́wọ́ àwọn ọ̀tá mi.
5 When the breakers of death had encompassed me, —the torrents of perdition, made me afraid, —
Nígbà tí ìbìlù ìrora ikú yí mi káàkiri; tí àwọn ìṣàn ènìyàn búburú dẹ́rùbà mí.
6 the meshes of hades, had surrounded me, —the snares of death had confronted me, (Sheol h7585)
Ọ̀já isà òkú yí mi káàkiri; ìkẹ́kùn ikú dojúkọ mí. (Sheol h7585)
7 In my distress, called I on Yahweh, Yea, unto my God, did I call, —and he hearkened, out of his temple, unto my voice, and, my cry for help, was in his ears!
“Nínú ìpọ́njú mi, èmi ké pé Olúwa, èmi sì gbé ohùn mi sókè sí Ọlọ́run mi. Ó sí gbóhùn mi láti tẹmpili rẹ̀ igbe mí wọ etí rẹ̀.
8 Then did the earth shake and quake, the foundations of the heavens, were deeply moved, —yea they did shake, because he was angry,
Ilẹ̀ sì mì, ó sì wárìrì; ìpìlẹ̀ ọ̀run wárìrì, ó sì mì, nítorí tí ó bínú.
9 There went up a smoke in his nostrils, and, a fire out of his mouth, devoured, —live coals, were kindled from it:
Èéfín ti ihò imú rẹ̀ jáde wá, iná ajónirun ti ẹnu rẹ̀ jáde wá, ẹ̀yin iná bú jáde láti inú rẹ̀.
10 Then he stretched out the heavens, and came down, —and, thick gloom, was under his feet;
Ó tẹ orí ọ̀run ba pẹ̀lú, ó sì sọ̀kalẹ̀; òkùnkùn biribiri sì ń bẹ ní àtẹ́lẹsẹ̀ rẹ̀.
11 Then he rode on a cherub, and flew, —and was seen on the wings of the wind;
Ó sì gun orí kérúbù, ó sì fò, a sì rí i lórí ìyẹ́ afẹ́fẹ́.
12 And made of the darkness around him, pavilions, —gathering of waters, clouds of vapours.
Ó sì fi òkùnkùn ṣe ibùjókòó yí ara rẹ̀, àti àgbájọ omi, àní ìṣúdudu ìkùùkuu àwọ̀ sánmọ̀.
13 Out of the brightness before him, were kindled live coals of fire;
Nípasẹ̀ ìmọ́lẹ̀ iwájú rẹ̀ ẹ̀yín iná ràn.
14 Thunder from the heavens, did Yahweh give forth, —yea, the Highest, uttered his voice;
Olúwa sán àrá láti ọ̀run wá, Ọ̀gá-ògo jùlọ sì fọhùn rẹ̀.
15 And he sent forth arrows, and scattered them, —lightning, and confused them;
Ó sì ta ọfà, ó sì tú wọn ká; ó kọ mànàmànà, ó sì ṣẹ́ wọn.
16 Then appeared the channels of the sea, were uncovered the foundations of the world, —at the rebuke of Yahweh, the blast of the breath of his nostrils;
Ìṣàn ibú òkun sì fi ara hàn, ìpìlẹ̀ ayé fi ara hàn, nípa ìbáwí Olúwa, nípa fífún èémí ihò imú rẹ̀.
17 He sent from on high, he took me, —he drew me out of many waters;
“Ó ránṣẹ́ láti òkè wá, ó mú mi; ó fà mí jáde láti inú omi ńlá wá.
18 He rescued me from my foe, in his might, —from them who hated me, because they were too strong for me:
Ó gbà mí lọ́wọ́ ọ̀tá mi alágbára, lọ́wọ́ àwọn tí ó kórìíra mi, nítorí pé wọ́n lágbára jù mí lọ.
19 They confronted me, in the day of my necessity, —then became Yahweh my stay:
Wọ́n wá láti borí mi lọ́jọ́ ìpọ́njú mi, ṣùgbọ́n Olúwa ni aláfẹ̀yìntì mi.
20 And brought out, into a large place, even me, —he delivered me, because he delighted in me:
Ó sì mú mi wá sí ààyè ńlá, ó gbà mi, nítorí tí inú rẹ̀ dún sí mi.
21 Yahweh rewarded me, according to my righteousness—according to the cleanness of my hands, he repaid me:
“Olúwa sán án fún mi gẹ́gẹ́ bí òdodo mi; ó sì san án fún mi gẹ́gẹ́ bí mímọ́ ọwọ́ mi.
22 For I had kept the ways of Yahweh, —and not broken away from my God;
Nítorí pé èmi pa ọ̀nà Olúwa mọ́, èmi kò sì fi ìwà búburú yapa kúrò lọ́dọ̀ Ọlọ́run mi.
23 For, all his regulations, were before me, —and, as for his statutes, I turned not from them.
Nítorí pé gbogbo ìdájọ́ rẹ̀ ni ó wà níwájú mi; àti ní ti òfin rẹ̀, èmi kò sì yapa kúrò nínú wọn.
24 So became I blameless towards him, —and kept myself from mine iniquity:
Èmi sì wà nínú ìwà títọ́ sí í, èmi sì pa ara mi mọ́ kúrò nínú ẹ̀ṣẹ̀ mi.
25 Yahweh therefore repaid me, according to my righteousness, —according to my pureness before his eyes.
Olúwa sì san fún mi gẹ́gẹ́ bí òdodo mi, gẹ́gẹ́ bí ìwà mímọ́ mi níwájú rẹ̀.
26 With the loving, thou didst show thyself loving, —with the blameless hero, thou didst show thyself blameless;
“Fún aláàánú ni ìwọ ó fi ara rẹ̀ hàn ni aláàánú, àti fún ẹni ìdúró ṣinṣin ní òdodo ni ìwọ ó fi ara rẹ hàn ní ìdúró ṣinṣin ní òdodo.
27 With the pure, thou didst show thyself pure, —but, with the perverse, thou didst shew thyself ready to contend:
Fún onínú funfun ni ìwọ fi ara rẹ hàn ní funfun; àti fún ẹni wíwọ́ ni ìwọ ó fi ara rẹ hàn ní wíwọ́.
28 And, a patient people, thou didst save, —but, thine eyes, were on the lofty—thou layedst them low;
Àwọn ènìyàn tí ó wà nínú ìyà ni ìwọ ó sì gbàlà; ṣùgbọ́n ojú rẹ wà lára àwọn agbéraga, láti rẹ̀ wọ́n sílẹ̀.
29 For, thou, wast my lamp, O Yahweh, —and, Yahweh, enlightened my darkness;
Nítorí ìwọ ni ìmọ́lẹ̀ mi, Olúwa; Olúwa yóò sì sọ òkùnkùn mi di ìmọ́lẹ̀.
30 For, by thee, I ran through a troop, —by my God, I leapt over a wall.
Bẹ́ẹ̀ ni nítorí nípa rẹ̀ ni èmi ti la àárín ogun kọjá; nípa Ọlọ́run mi èmi ti fo odi kan.
31 As for God, blameless is his way, —the speech of Yahweh, hath been proved, a shield, he is to all who seek refuge in him.
“Ọlọ́run yìí, pípé ni ọ̀nà rẹ̀; ọ̀rọ̀ Olúwa ni a ti dánwò. Òun sì ni asà fún gbogbo àwọn tí ó gbẹ́kẹ̀lé e.
32 For who is a GOD, save Yahweh? and who a Rock, save our God?
Nítorí ta ni Ọlọ́run, bí kò ṣe Olúwa? Ta ni àpáta, bí kò ṣe Ọlọ́run wa.
33 GOD, is my fortress of strength, —and shewed to the blameless his way;
Ọlọ́run alágbára ni ó fún mi ní agbára, ó sì sọ ọ̀nà mi di títọ́.
34 Planting my feet like the hinds’, —yea, on my high places, he caused me to stand;
Ó ṣe ẹsẹ̀ mi bí ẹsẹ̀ abo àgbọ̀nrín; ó sì mú mi dúró ní ibi gíga mi.
35 Teaching my hands, to war, —so that a bow of bronze was bent by mine arms;
Ó kọ́ ọwọ́ mi ní ogun jíjà; tó bẹ́ẹ̀ tí apá mi fa ọrun idẹ.
36 Thus didst thou grant me, as a shield, thy salvation, —and, thy condescension, made me great.
Ìwọ sì ti fún mi ní asà ìgbàlà rẹ̀; ìrẹ̀lẹ̀ rẹ̀ sì ti sọ mí di ńlá.
37 Thou didst widen my stepping-places, under me, —so that mine ankles faltered not:
Ìwọ sì sọ ìtẹ̀lẹ̀ di ńlá ní abẹ́ mi; tó bẹ́ẹ̀ tí ẹsẹ̀ mi kò fi yọ̀.
38 I pursued my foes, and destroyed them, —and returned not, till they were consumed;
“Èmi ti lépa àwọn ọ̀tá mi, èmi sì ti run wọ́n, èmi kò pẹ̀yìndà títí èmi fi run wọ́n.
39 So I consumed them, and crushed them, and they rose not again, —thus fell they under my feet:
Èmi ti pa wọ́n run, èmi sì ti fọ́ wọn, wọn kò sì le dìde mọ́, wọ́n ṣubú lábẹ́ mi.
40 Thus didst thou gird me with strength, for the battle, —thou subduedst mine assailants under me:
Ìwọ sì ti fi agbára dì mí ní àmùrè fún ìjà; àwọn tí ó ti dìde sí mi ni ìwọ sì ti tẹ̀ lórí ba fún mi.
41 And, as for my foes, thou didst give me their neck, —yea, them who hated me, that I might destroy them:
Ìwọ sì mú àwọn ọ̀tá mi pẹ̀yìndà fún mi, èmi ó sì pa àwọn tí ó kórìíra mi run.
42 They cried out, but there was none to save, —unto Yahweh, but he answered them not.
Wọ́n wò, ṣùgbọ́n kò sí ẹnìkan láti gbà wọ́n; wọ́n wo Olúwa, ṣùgbọ́n kò dá àwọn lóhùn.
43 Then did I beat them in pieces, like the dust of the earth, —like the clay of the lanes, did I crush them, stamp them down.
Nígbà náà ni èmi sì gún wọn wẹ́wẹ́ bí erùpẹ̀ ilẹ̀, èmi sì tẹ̀ wọ́n mọ́lẹ̀ bí ẹrẹ̀ ìta, èmi sì tẹ́ wọn gbọrọ.
44 Thus didst thou rescue me from the contentions of my people, didst keep me to be the head of nations: —a people whom I had not known, served me;
“Ìwọ sì gbà mí kúrò lọ́wọ́ ìjà àwọn ènìyàn mi, ìwọ pa mi mọ́ ki èmi lè ṣe olórí àwọn àjèjì orílẹ̀-èdè. Àwọn ènìyàn tí èmi kò tí mọ̀ yóò máa sìn mí.
45 The sons of the foreigner, came cringing unto me, —at the hearing of the ear, they submitted to me, —
Àwọn àjèjì wá láti tẹríba fún mi; bí wọ́n bá ti gbúròó mi, wọ́n á sì gbọ́ tèmi.
46 The sons of the foreigner, were disheartened, and came quaking, out of their fortresses.
Àyà yóò pá àwọn àlejò, wọ́n ó sì fi ìbẹ̀rù sá kúrò níbi kọ́lọ́fín wọn.
47 Yahweh liveth, and blessed be my rock, —and exalted be the God (of the rock) of my salvation: —
“Olúwa ń bẹ́; olùbùkún sì ni àpáta mi! Gbígbéga sì ni Ọlọ́run àpáta ìgbàlà mi.
48 The GOD who hath avenged me, and brought down peoples under me;
Ọlọ́run ni ẹni tí ń gbẹ̀san mi, àti ẹni tí ń rẹ àwọn ènìyàn sílẹ̀ lábẹ́ mi.
49 And brought me forth from among my foes, —yea, from mine assailants, hast thou set me on high, from the man of violence, hast thou delivered me.
Àti ẹni tí ó gbà mí kúrò lọ́wọ́ àwọn ọ̀tá mi. Ìwọ sì gbé mi sókè ju àwọn tí ó kórìíra mi lọ; ìwọ sì gbà mí kúrò lọ́wọ́ àwọn ọkùnrin oníwà ipá.
50 For this cause, will I praise thee, O Yahweh, among the nations, —and, to thy name, will I touch the strings: —
Nítorí náà èmi ó fi ọpẹ́ fún ọ, Olúwa, láàrín àwọn àjèjì orílẹ̀-èdè, èmi ó sì kọrin sí orúkọ rẹ.
51 Who hath made great the victories of his King, —and shown lovingkindness to his Anointed One, to David and to his Seed, unto times age-abiding.
“Òun ni ilé ìṣọ́ ìgbàlà fún ọba rẹ̀; ó sì fi àánú hàn fún ẹni àmì òróró rẹ̀, fún Dafidi, àti fún irú-ọmọ rẹ̀ títí láéláé.”
