2 Samuel 22
1 And David spake unto Yahweh, the words of this song, in the day when Yahweh had rescued him, out of the hand of all his enemies, and out of the hand of Saul;
David je Gospodu spregovoril besede te pesmi na dan, ko ga je Gospod osvobodil iz roke vseh njegovih sovražnikov in iz Savlove roke.
2 and he said, —Yahweh, was my mountain crag and my stronghold, and my deliverer—mine;
Rekel je: » Gospod je moja skala in moja trdnjava in moj osvoboditelj;
3 My God, was my rock, I sought refuge in him, —My shield, and my horn of salvation, my high tower, and my refuge, My Saviour! from violence, thou didst save me.
Bog moje skale; vanj bom zaupal. On je moj ščit in rog rešitve moje duše, moj visoki stolp in moje zatočišče, moj rešitelj; ti me rešuješ pred nasiljem.
4 As one worthy to be praised, called I on Yahweh, —And, from my foes, was I saved.
Klical bom h Gospodu, ki je vreden, da je hvaljen. Tako bom rešen pred svojimi sovražniki.
5 When the breakers of death had encompassed me, —the torrents of perdition, made me afraid, —
Ko so me obdali valovi smrti, so me preplašile poplave brezbožnih ljudi;
bridkosti pekla so me obkrožile, zanke smrti so me ovirale; (Sheol h7585)
7 In my distress, called I on Yahweh, Yea, unto my God, did I call, —and he hearkened, out of his temple, unto my voice, and, my cry for help, was in his ears!
v svoji stiski sem klical h Gospodu in jokal k svojemu Bogu. Iz svojega svetišča je slišal moj glas in moj jok je vstopil v njegova ušesa.
8 Then did the earth shake and quake, the foundations of the heavens, were deeply moved, —yea they did shake, because he was angry,
Potem se je zemlja stresla in vztrepetala, temelji neba so se premaknili in stresli, ker je bil ogorčen.
9 There went up a smoke in his nostrils, and, a fire out of his mouth, devoured, —live coals, were kindled from it:
Iz njegovih nosnic se je dvignil dim in ogenj iz njegovih ust je požiral. Z njim so bili vžgani ogorki.
10 Then he stretched out the heavens, and came down, —and, thick gloom, was under his feet;
Upognil je tudi nebo in prišel dol in tema je bila pod njegovimi stopali.
11 Then he rode on a cherub, and flew, —and was seen on the wings of the wind;
Jahal je na kerubu in letel. Viden je bil na perutih vetra.
12 And made of the darkness around him, pavilions, —gathering of waters, clouds of vapours.
Vsenaokrog sebe je naredil paviljone teme, temne vode in goste oblake neba.
13 Out of the brightness before him, were kindled live coals of fire;
Od bleščave pred njim so bili vžgani ognjeni ogorki.
14 Thunder from the heavens, did Yahweh give forth, —yea, the Highest, uttered his voice;
Gospod je zagrmel iz nebes in Najvišji je izustil svoj glas.
15 And he sent forth arrows, and scattered them, —lightning, and confused them;
Odposlal je puščice in jih razkropil; bliskanje in jih porazil.
16 Then appeared the channels of the sea, were uncovered the foundations of the world, —at the rebuke of Yahweh, the blast of the breath of his nostrils;
Prikazale so se morske struge, temelji zemeljskega [kroga] so bili odkriti ob Gospodovem karanju, ob puhu sape iz njegovih nosnic.
17 He sent from on high, he took me, —he drew me out of many waters;
Poslal je od zgoraj, vzel me je, potegnil me je iz mnogih vodá,
18 He rescued me from my foe, in his might, —from them who hated me, because they were too strong for me:
osvobodil me je pred mojim močnim sovražnikom in pred tistimi, ki so me sovražili, kajti zame so bili premočni.
19 They confronted me, in the day of my necessity, —then became Yahweh my stay:
Ovirali so me na dan moje katastrofe, toda Gospod je bil moja opora.
20 And brought out, into a large place, even me, —he delivered me, because he delighted in me:
Prav tako me je privedel na velik kraj. Osvobodil me je, ker se je razveseljeval v meni.
21 Yahweh rewarded me, according to my righteousness—according to the cleanness of my hands, he repaid me:
Gospod me je nagradil glede na mojo pravičnost. Poplačal mi je glede na čistost mojih rok.
22 For I had kept the ways of Yahweh, —and not broken away from my God;
Kajti držal sem se Gospodovih poti in se nisem zlobno oddvojil od svojega Boga.
23 For, all his regulations, were before me, —and, as for his statutes, I turned not from them.
Kajti vse njegove sodbe so bile pred menoj, in glede njegovih zakonov, se nisem ločil od njih.
24 So became I blameless towards him, —and kept myself from mine iniquity:
Pred njim sem bil tudi iskren in se zadržal pred svojo krivičnostjo.
25 Yahweh therefore repaid me, according to my righteousness, —according to my pureness before his eyes.
Zatorej mi je Gospod poplačal glede na mojo pravičnost; glede na mojo čistost v njegovem pogledu.
26 With the loving, thou didst show thyself loving, —with the blameless hero, thou didst show thyself blameless;
Z usmiljenim se boš pokazal usmiljenega in s poštenim človekom se boš pokazal poštenega.
27 With the pure, thou didst show thyself pure, —but, with the perverse, thou didst shew thyself ready to contend:
S čistim se boš pokazal čistega in s kljubovalnim se boš pokazal neokusnega.
28 And, a patient people, thou didst save, —but, thine eyes, were on the lofty—thou layedst them low;
Stiskano ljudstvo boš rešil, toda tvoje oči so na ošabnih, da jih lahko privedeš dol.
29 For, thou, wast my lamp, O Yahweh, —and, Yahweh, enlightened my darkness;
Kajti ti si moja svetilka, oh Gospod in Gospod bo razsvetlil mojo temo.
30 For, by thee, I ran through a troop, —by my God, I leapt over a wall.
Kajti s teboj sem tekel skozi krdelo, s svojim Bogom sem preskočil zid.
31 As for God, blameless is his way, —the speech of Yahweh, hath been proved, a shield, he is to all who seek refuge in him.
Glede Boga, njegova pot je popolna; Gospodova beseda je preizkušena. On je ščit vsem tistim, ki zaupajo vanj.
32 For who is a GOD, save Yahweh? and who a Rock, save our God?
Kajti kdo je Bog, razen Gospoda? In kdo je skala, razen našega Boga?
33 GOD, is my fortress of strength, —and shewed to the blameless his way;
Bog je moja sila in moč in mojo pot dela popolno.
34 Planting my feet like the hinds’, —yea, on my high places, he caused me to stand;
Moje noge dela podobne nogam košut in me postavlja na moje visoke kraje.
35 Teaching my hands, to war, —so that a bow of bronze was bent by mine arms;
Moje roke uči bojevanja, tako, da je jeklen lok zlomljen z mojimi lakti.
36 Thus didst thou grant me, as a shield, thy salvation, —and, thy condescension, made me great.
Dal si mi tudi ščit tvoje rešitve duše in tvoja blagost me je naredila velikega.
37 Thou didst widen my stepping-places, under me, —so that mine ankles faltered not:
Povečal si moje korake pod menoj, tako, da moja stopala niso zdrsnila.
38 I pursued my foes, and destroyed them, —and returned not, till they were consumed;
Zasledoval sem svoje sovražnike in jih uničil in se nisem ponovno obrnil, dokler jih nisem použil.
39 So I consumed them, and crushed them, and they rose not again, —thus fell they under my feet:
Použil sem jih in jih ranil, da niso mogli vstati. Da, padli so pod mojimi stopali.
40 Thus didst thou gird me with strength, for the battle, —thou subduedst mine assailants under me:
Kajti opasal si me z močjo za boj. Tiste, ki se vzdigujejo zoper mene, si podjarmil pod menoj.
41 And, as for my foes, thou didst give me their neck, —yea, them who hated me, that I might destroy them:
Dal si mi tudi vratove mojih sovražnikov, da lahko uničim tiste, ki me sovražijo.
42 They cried out, but there was none to save, —unto Yahweh, but he answered them not.
Pogledali so, toda nikogar ni bilo, da reši; celó h Gospodu, toda ni jim odgovoril.
43 Then did I beat them in pieces, like the dust of the earth, —like the clay of the lanes, did I crush them, stamp them down.
Potem sem jih zdrobil v zemeljski prah, pohodil sem jih kakor ulično blato in jih raztresel naokoli.
44 Thus didst thou rescue me from the contentions of my people, didst keep me to be the head of nations: —a people whom I had not known, served me;
Osvobodil si me tudi pred prepiri mojega ljudstva, ohranil si me, da bi bil poglavar poganom. Ljudstvo, ki ga nisem poznal, mi bo služilo.
45 The sons of the foreigner, came cringing unto me, —at the hearing of the ear, they submitted to me, —
Tujci se mi bodo podredili; takoj ko slišijo, mi bodo poslušni.
46 The sons of the foreigner, were disheartened, and came quaking, out of their fortresses.
Tujci bodo bledeli in prestrašeni bodo iz svojih zaprtih krajev.
47 Yahweh liveth, and blessed be my rock, —and exalted be the God (of the rock) of my salvation: —
Gospod živi in blagoslovljena bodi moja skala in povišan bodi Bog skale rešitve moje duše.
48 The GOD who hath avenged me, and brought down peoples under me;
To je Bog, ki me maščuje in ki ljudstvo prinaša podme
49 And brought me forth from among my foes, —yea, from mine assailants, hast thou set me on high, from the man of violence, hast thou delivered me.
in ki me pelje naprej pred mojimi sovražniki. Prav tako si me dvignil na visoko, nad tiste, ki so vstali zoper mene. Osvobodil si me pred nasilnežem.
50 For this cause, will I praise thee, O Yahweh, among the nations, —and, to thy name, will I touch the strings: —
Zato se ti bom zahvaljeval, oh Gospod, med pogani in prepeval bom hvalnice tvojemu imenu.
51 Who hath made great the victories of his King, —and shown lovingkindness to his Anointed One, to David and to his Seed, unto times age-abiding.
On je stolp rešitve duš za svojega kralja in izkazuje usmiljenje svojemu maziljencu Davidu in njegovemu semenu na vékomaj.«
