< 2 Samuel 22 >
1 And David spake unto Yahweh, the words of this song, in the day when Yahweh had rescued him, out of the hand of all his enemies, and out of the hand of Saul;
Davide anayimbira Yehova nyimbo iyi pamene Yehovayo anamupulumutsa mʼdzanja la adani ake onse ndiponso mʼdzanja la Sauli.
2 and he said, —Yahweh, was my mountain crag and my stronghold, and my deliverer—mine;
Iye anati, “Yehova ndiye thanthwe langa, chitetezo changa ndi mpulumutsi wanga.
3 My God, was my rock, I sought refuge in him, —My shield, and my horn of salvation, my high tower, and my refuge, My Saviour! from violence, thou didst save me.
Mulungu wanga ndiye thanthwe langa, mʼmene ndimathawiramo, chishango changa ndi ndodo yachipulumutso changa. Iye ndi linga langa, pothawirapo panga ndi mpulumutsi wanga. Munandipulumutsa mʼmanja mwa anthu ankhanza.
4 As one worthy to be praised, called I on Yahweh, —And, from my foes, was I saved.
“Ndimayitana Yehova amene ndi woyenera matamando, ndipo ndapulumutsidwa kwa adani anga.
5 When the breakers of death had encompassed me, —the torrents of perdition, made me afraid, —
“Mafunde a imfa anandizinga; mitsinje yothamanga yachiwonongeko inandiopsa kwambiri.
6 the meshes of hades, had surrounded me, —the snares of death had confronted me, (Sheol )
Anandimanga ndi zingwe za ku manda; misampha ya imfa inalimbana nane. (Sheol )
7 In my distress, called I on Yahweh, Yea, unto my God, did I call, —and he hearkened, out of his temple, unto my voice, and, my cry for help, was in his ears!
“Mʼmasautso anga ndinapemphera kwa Yehova; ndinapemphera kwa Mulungu wanga. Iye ali mʼnyumba yake, anamva mawu anga; kulira kwanga kunafika mʼmakutu ake.
8 Then did the earth shake and quake, the foundations of the heavens, were deeply moved, —yea they did shake, because he was angry,
“Dziko lapansi linanjenjemera ndi kuchita chivomerezi, maziko a miyamba anagwedezeka; ananjenjemera chifukwa Iye anakwiya.
9 There went up a smoke in his nostrils, and, a fire out of his mouth, devoured, —live coals, were kindled from it:
Mʼmphuno mwake munatuluka utsi; moto wonyeketsa unatuluka mʼkamwa mwake, makala amoto anali lawilawi mʼkamwa mwake.
10 Then he stretched out the heavens, and came down, —and, thick gloom, was under his feet;
Iye anangʼamba thambo natsika pansi; pansi pa mapazi ake panali mitambo yakuda.
11 Then he rode on a cherub, and flew, —and was seen on the wings of the wind;
Iye anakwera pa Kerubi ndi kuwuluka; nawuluka ndi mphepo mwaliwiro.
12 And made of the darkness around him, pavilions, —gathering of waters, clouds of vapours.
Iye anapanga mdima kukhala chofunda chake, mitambo yakuda ya mlengalenga.
13 Out of the brightness before him, were kindled live coals of fire;
Mʼkuwala kumene kunali pamaso pake munkachokera makala amoto alawilawi.
14 Thunder from the heavens, did Yahweh give forth, —yea, the Highest, uttered his voice;
Yehova anabangula kumwamba ngati bingu, mawu a Wammwambamwamba anamveka ponseponse.
15 And he sent forth arrows, and scattered them, —lightning, and confused them;
Iye anaponya mivi yake, nabalalitsa adani ake, ndi zingʼaningʼani zake anawagonjetsa.
16 Then appeared the channels of the sea, were uncovered the foundations of the world, —at the rebuke of Yahweh, the blast of the breath of his nostrils;
Zigwa za mʼnyanja zinaonekera poyera, ndipo maziko a dziko lapansi anakhala poyera, Yehova atabangula mwaukali, pamene mpweya wamphamvu unatuluka mʼmphuno mwake.
17 He sent from on high, he took me, —he drew me out of many waters;
“Ali kumwamba, Iye anatambalitsa dzanja lake ndipo anandigwira; anandivuwula mʼmadzi ozama.
18 He rescued me from my foe, in his might, —from them who hated me, because they were too strong for me:
Anandipulumutsa kwa mdani wanga wamphamvu, adani anga amene anali amphamvu kuposa ine.
19 They confronted me, in the day of my necessity, —then became Yahweh my stay:
Adaniwo analimbana nane pamene ndinali pa mavuto, koma Yehova anali thandizo langa.
20 And brought out, into a large place, even me, —he delivered me, because he delighted in me:
Iye anandipititsa kumalo otakasuka; anandipulumutsa chifukwa amakondwera nane.
21 Yahweh rewarded me, according to my righteousness—according to the cleanness of my hands, he repaid me:
“Yehova wandithandiza molingana ndi chilungamo changa; molingana ndi makhalidwe anga abwino, Iye wandipulumutsa.
22 For I had kept the ways of Yahweh, —and not broken away from my God;
Pakuti ine ndinatsata njira za Yehova; ndilibe mlandu wochoka pamaso pa Mulungu wanga.
23 For, all his regulations, were before me, —and, as for his statutes, I turned not from them.
Malamulo ake onse ali pamaso panga, sindinasiye malangizo ake.
24 So became I blameless towards him, —and kept myself from mine iniquity:
Ndakhala moyo wosalakwa pamaso pake ndipo ndakhala ndi kupewa tchimo.
25 Yahweh therefore repaid me, according to my righteousness, —according to my pureness before his eyes.
Yehova wandipatsa mphotho molingana ndi chilungamo changa, molingana ndi makhalidwe anga abwino pamaso pake.
26 With the loving, thou didst show thyself loving, —with the blameless hero, thou didst show thyself blameless;
“Kwa wokhulupirika, Inu mumaonetsa kukhulupirika kwanu, kwa anthu amakhalidwe abwino, Inu mumaonetsanso makhalidwe abwino,
27 With the pure, thou didst show thyself pure, —but, with the perverse, thou didst shew thyself ready to contend:
Kwa woyera mtima, Inu mumaonetsa kuyera mtima kwanu, koma kwa anthu achinyengo mumaonetsanso kunyansidwa nawo.
28 And, a patient people, thou didst save, —but, thine eyes, were on the lofty—thou layedst them low;
Inu mumapulumutsa anthu odzichepetsa, koma maso anu amatsutsana ndi odzikuza ndipo mumawatsitsa.
29 For, thou, wast my lamp, O Yahweh, —and, Yahweh, enlightened my darkness;
Inu Yehova, ndinu nyale yanga; Yehova wasandutsa mdima wanga kukhala kuwunika.
30 For, by thee, I ran through a troop, —by my God, I leapt over a wall.
Ndi thandizo lanu nditha kulimbana ndi gulu la ankhondo, ndi Mulungu wanga nditha kuchita zosatheka ndi munthu.
31 As for God, blameless is his way, —the speech of Yahweh, hath been proved, a shield, he is to all who seek refuge in him.
“Kunena za Mulungu, zochita zake ndi zangwiro; mawu a Yehova alibe cholakwika. Iye ndi chishango kwa onse amene amathawira kwa iye.
32 For who is a GOD, save Yahweh? and who a Rock, save our God?
Mulungu wina ndi uti wofanana nanu Yehova? Ndipo ndani amene ndi Thanthwe kupatula Mulungu wathu?
33 GOD, is my fortress of strength, —and shewed to the blameless his way;
Ndi Mulungu amene anandipatsa mphamvu ndi kulungamitsa njira yanga.
34 Planting my feet like the hinds’, —yea, on my high places, he caused me to stand;
Iye amasandutsa mapazi anga kukhala ngati ambawala yayikazi; Iye amandithandiza kuyimirira pamwamba pa mapiri.
35 Teaching my hands, to war, —so that a bow of bronze was bent by mine arms;
Iye amaphunzitsa manja anga kuchita nkhondo; manja anga amatha kuthyola uta wachitsulo.
36 Thus didst thou grant me, as a shield, thy salvation, —and, thy condescension, made me great.
Inu mundipatsa ine chishango chanu cha chigonjetso; mumawerama kuti mundikweze.
37 Thou didst widen my stepping-places, under me, —so that mine ankles faltered not:
Inu mwalimbitsa njira yanga kuti ndiyende bwino, kuti mapazi anga asaterereke.
38 I pursued my foes, and destroyed them, —and returned not, till they were consumed;
“Ine ndinathamangitsa adani anga ndi kuwakantha; sindinabwerere mpaka iwo atawonongedwa.
39 So I consumed them, and crushed them, and they rose not again, —thus fell they under my feet:
Ndinawakantha kotheratu, ndipo sanathe kudzukanso; Iwo anagwera pansi pa mapazi anga.
40 Thus didst thou gird me with strength, for the battle, —thou subduedst mine assailants under me:
Inu munandipatsa ine mphamvu yochitira nkhondo; munagwaditsa adani anga pa mapazi anga.
41 And, as for my foes, thou didst give me their neck, —yea, them who hated me, that I might destroy them:
Inu muchititsa kuti adani anga atembenuke ndi kuthawa; ndipo ndinawononga adani anga.
42 They cried out, but there was none to save, —unto Yahweh, but he answered them not.
Iwo anafuwula kupempha thandizo, koma panalibe ndi mmodzi yemwe owapulumutsa. Analirira kwa Yehova, koma sanawayankhe.
43 Then did I beat them in pieces, like the dust of the earth, —like the clay of the lanes, did I crush them, stamp them down.
Ine ndinawaperesa ngati fumbi la pa dziko lapansi; ndinawasinja ndipo ndinawapondaponda ngati matope a mʼmisewu.
44 Thus didst thou rescue me from the contentions of my people, didst keep me to be the head of nations: —a people whom I had not known, served me;
“Inu mwandipulumutsa mʼmanja mwa mitundu ya anthu; Inu mwandisunga kuti ndikhale mtsogoleri wa anthu a mitundu ina. Anthu amene sindikuwadziwa ali pansi pa ulamuliro wanga.
45 The sons of the foreigner, came cringing unto me, —at the hearing of the ear, they submitted to me, —
Alendo amadzipereka okha pamaso panga; akangomva za ine, amandigonjera.
46 The sons of the foreigner, were disheartened, and came quaking, out of their fortresses.
Iwo onse anataya mtima; anatuluka mʼmalinga awo akunjenjemera.
47 Yahweh liveth, and blessed be my rock, —and exalted be the God (of the rock) of my salvation: —
“Yehova ndi wamoyo! Litamandidwe Thanthwe langa. Akuzike Mulungu, Thanthwe, Mpulumutsi wanga!
48 The GOD who hath avenged me, and brought down peoples under me;
Iye ndi Mulungu amene amabwezera chilango, amene amayika anthu a mitundu yonse pansi pa ulamuliro wanga,
49 And brought me forth from among my foes, —yea, from mine assailants, hast thou set me on high, from the man of violence, hast thou delivered me.
amene amandimasula mʼmanja mwa adani anga. Inu munandikuza kuposa adani anga; munandilanditsa mʼmanja mwa anthu ankhanza.
50 For this cause, will I praise thee, O Yahweh, among the nations, —and, to thy name, will I touch the strings: —
Choncho ine ndidzakutamandani Inu Yehova, pakati pa anthu a mitundu ina; ndidzayimba nyimbo zotamanda dzina lanu.
51 Who hath made great the victories of his King, —and shown lovingkindness to his Anointed One, to David and to his Seed, unto times age-abiding.
“Iye amapereka chipambano chachikulu kwa mfumu yake, amaonetsa kukoma mtima kwa wodzozedwa wake, kwa Davide ndi zidzukulu zake kwamuyaya.”
